I love classic nails! I’ve had about 4 acrylic fills with them and they never disappoint. They’ve lasted 3 weeks with no chipping or breaking. Could definitelygo longer too!! I especially love Frances, she pays attention to so much detail. I showed her a photo of a design I wanted and she matched it exactly how I wanted. They’re all so friendly and do an amazing job!! 10/10 recommend

Amazing place. Great prices for the city. Excellent service. The owner Frances is so sweet and very professional and dedicated. Lillian and kit are also excellent. The first time I went Frances stayed extra late perfecting the shape and design I wanted until it came out perfect. The second time Lillian did a refill for me along with eyebrows and upper lip wax.

This salon has stood the test of time. They are the most courteous staff I have ever encountered. Francis and Lillian we so sweet and professional and took their time to get my nails how I wanted. Didnt rush out even after closing time. I would def recommend them!

The absolute best nails in Midtown, I said I was in a rush; Miss Kelly and Miss Francis worked on me at the same time. My nails came out absolutely amaze and it took a little under an hour. Miss Francis is the nicest lady ever meet very encouraging and a great conversation.This is my first time here based off of Google reviews definitely GO!

I’m very happy with this place. They are very polite and nice and did great job on pedicure. My sole was really dried and toes looked terrible from the hiking trip but it’s all restored and nicely hydrated. Everyone was cleaning the whole place throughly and sanitizing to make sure every surface was clean and each bottle of polish is cleaned after someone touched it.I felt safe and job was done nicely. Highly recommended. $25 for basic pedicure

Francis the owner was lovely! Lillian did my nails and saved my life as my normal go to tech caught Covid and my nails were breaking! Lillian took her time which I love because she was diligent and detail oriented. I got an SNS set as I don’t use acrylic. I’m a super happy customer and will return!

They charge 50 for acrylic and 20 extra for just gel and they use very cheap products that it takes 40mins to dry nails with regular polish and the quick dry which they also charge and the products for acrylic is super cheap to the point my skin reacted (swelling, itchiness and holes inside skin)(only happens with cheap products and dirty tools that have not been cleaned) and nails got air pockets when drying after paint and quick dry.

Rush service. I don’t like the way owner deal with customers and the way she insists the cash tip. Will not go there again.

I got the powder w/tips. I wanted them pretty short, a reasonable length so that I could still work. My nails looked great from a distance, but the next day I could see that the powder was lifting. She put so many coats it was inevitable. I dont know if they use cheap powder and try to cover it up by adding more coats than necessary, of if thats just they way they were taught. When I looked up close I could see the beginning of lift on most of my fingers - THE NEXT DAY! Go elsewhere because its a waste of money to get your nails done, then turn around and get them done again.

I got a unichrome gel manicure and it looks so stunning! I get compliments everyday on it and where I get them done! Theyre having a sale for the chrome manicure for only $45! Well worth the money spent!

Got the best manicure of my life here!! I got SNS dip with extensions and it turned out better than I was expecting. Ask for Lillian, she got the shape I wanted just right and took her time with every nail. Was a total perfectionist and didn’t rush through at all. The staff super friendly. I went in for an acrylic fill in- however, ended up needing a full set because my current set wasn’t in the best shape. Judy put acrylic on top of my real nails and gave me the shape I wanted! She was so friendly and gentle as I have really sensitive cuticles! Overall I gave them 4 stars for great great service, pricing was a bit much But I will definitely continue to keep going there! We were travelling from Australia and stopped in at Classic Nails as I had a broken nail and needed infills. My technician was Lillian and she did the most amazing job I have ever had. She put in so much time and her work was flawless. My set were very old and she fixed them up perfectly. My mother had Francis who did a complete set and she put in so much time to make them perfect. Definitely recommend!!

They took me in right away asked me to pick a color and because im indecisive about colors and considering I was in a rush to go back to work they were very time efficient and helpful. Shop is newly renovated. Convenient midtown location on East 41st between Lexington and Park.

I was in the Grand Central area unexpectedly, and came to Classic Nails based on other Google reviews. I was greeted warmly, it was easy to communicate, and I had a team of two do the basic mani/pedi services requested thoroughly, efficiently and with a caring manner. It didnt matter that I was a stranger to the salon. I plan to return next time I am in the neighborhood. Thank you Classic Nails.

I would of gave this place 5 stars, but theyre so pushy and aggressive when it comes to tipping. Overall, I did have a great experience. They were friendly, quick and clean. My gel manicure looks fabulous and their prices are great for midtown. ($30 for a gel mani and $6 for lip wax).Anyway, where they disappointed me was when it came time to tipping time. I gave the lady a $5 tip, and she responds thats it? Ive never experienced anyone be so ungrateful for a tip before.To make matters worse, the girl prior to me, didnt have cash to tip so they begged her to run to Chase bank to withdraw cash. The customer then responded she needed to catch a train and that she was happy to tip on her card. The nail lady then tells her that shed walk with her to the ATM so she didnt have to come back to the nail salon.This was such a huge turnoff for met and I dont plan on returning here unless its an emergency.

My go-to workday nail salon. They do an excellent pedicure, manicure and I have never left disappointed. Prices are reasonable and service is great. They make you feel welcome always. My only wish was eyebrow threading. They do waxing and I can’t do it due to my sensitive skin. Frances is lovely!! Always so nice.

If you want high quality at a good price, come here to get your nails done. The manicurists respect that you are most likely in a hurry and do a great job given time constraints, while also being personable. Frances is absolutely wonderful and does a fantastic job running the place. Highly recommended!

If I could give 0 stars, I would . Where do I begin ?! I brought it to my manicurist attention that the water she placed my feet into was scolding hot and she literally looked up at me and said I know but it will cool down . Being a patient person I simply lifted my feet out of the water to allow the water to cool. She then rushed through my pedicure and when I asked her to properly push back my cuticles and clean beneath my toes she aggressively did so for about a minute . I was not satisfied in the least bit with my pedicure but I kindly paid and tipped for the services I received. ($22 for a terrible pedicure and $5 tip) As I was drying the owner rushed me to leave because she was ready to close . Naturally, my toes smudged . I returned because the polish was dull and smudged, and she charged me $10 to fix my pedicure . Unfortunately, I had no choice but to pay because my schedule did not allow me to find another place . The owner was argumentative and outright rude . She spoke poorly of me to her employees assuming I did not understand the language but I did . DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE !

They only care about getting paid. They did their job rushed and carelessly. The force you to pay before they even finish their job which I have never experienced before and then expect a good tip although nail polish is chipping even before I leave the salon.

NEGATIVE 5 STARSI get Acrylic Fill-in Manicures in Staten Island for $16.00 and always tip $5.00 to $6.00 to my regular manicurist. Total $21.00 to $22.00 (no tax). I dont get charged for nail trim and love the owners. I tried Classic Nail near my office and WILL NEVER RETURN. OVERPRICED AND RUDE MANICURIST!During the manicure, the manicurist got up and started picking at food with her co-workers (horrible). She was rough with the buffer and she was rushing through the manicure.Classic Nail has the audacity to charge $2.00 nail trim and $25.00 (plus tax) for an acrylic fill-in manicure, total $28.35! I paid in cash ($30.00) and gave the manicurist the change plus one dollar. Thats all the manicure was WORTH! The manicurist had the nerve to tell me that I am supposed to tip 20% which is unprofessional in and of itself! 18-20% for restaurant wait staff and thats only if the service is excellent.Regrettably, I threw an extra dollar at this woman and she continued to complain. I got up and left without polish and told her she had no right to tell any customer what the tip should be and walked out because I did not want to be polished by any of these women. I will never return.It is obscene that a manicurist demand a 20% tip (like a restaurant) for an average acrylic fill in and EXCESSIVELY below average customer service.DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON!

I have been a long time customer of Classic Nails. I communicate with the salons Manger who goes by the name: Francis. Classic Nails is located in midtown Manhattan were rent is very expensive, yet their manicure and pedicure prices are affordable. I cannot provide a review on other services because I only get Mani/Pedis.All the workers conduct themselves in a professional manner, polite, respectful and helpful. They are fast paced but efficient. If you have an issue, they are quick to resolve as the customer is their top priority.In the past I have been asked to leave a healthy tip, but I understand the request. At affordable prices and efficient work, I dont mind the request..... Bt this is providing that I receive top of the line customer service.As a long time customer, I recommend their service.

This place really is bad. The staff is completely unhelpful and are always in a super super rush for everything. I went in today and needed one nail repainted. I knew the color I had and was looming for it. Usually, a staff member would help also. Not here. She stood and waited. When I asked is she had heard of the color I needed (it is a super popular light grey trendy color I am sure they have) she asked her boss something in Korean and the boss, who never got up form the chair said you have to try and find something similar. I walked out. Awful

If you are looking for fast sweat shop service then this place is up your ally... I went in for a gel mani & pedi although I didnt mind both working on me at one but 2 days after the gel started to lift off from the edges and i went in and the owner fixed them, she didnt even take the time to take off the polish and just file the edges and reapply the polish because she wanted to get to the next paying client .. it look so sloppy and she file a bit of my skin and needless to say i left and the edge was still not sticking on one of my nails although i tried telling her that while i was stilling in her chair... this is not even worth a star and I must say that i have been there a few times but same horrible service. needless to say that I wont be going back there.

Worst place. The girl who worked on me was not paying any attention at all. Every five minutes she would look her phone. She was fast, she didnt bothered to clean my nails before polish. My gel manicures have bumps, and bubbles. And they are not even. Same fingers one side are darker and the other lighter because she would put 3 coat in one side whereas just two on the other.. and when being asked if my polish would peel off because they are not around the edge she was like no. I didnt wanted to be rude so left a tip and came out without saying a word.

Ive been coming here for ten years. They are fast. when you need it, they can do the mani and pedi simultaneously. I schlep over from the west side, I no longer work nearby. Its right near Grand Central, so very convenient for commuters. I recommend Classic Nails to everybody.

I cant advise as to their actual nail skills, never got that far. I can however say that they prefer to lose a customer than allow them to pay for a manicure with a Visa Debit. I brought cash for the tip because I know better but was turned away because I wanted to use my Visa Debit for the manicure charge itself. I was directed to the Chase and B of A to use the ATM however neither of those are my banks and I certainly am not interested in paying the $3.50 fee to those banks and a $3.50 fee to my bank just to take out $20.00 so instead they let me leave. They have a $30 CC minimum which seems way too high and Im sure Im not the first to get turned away. Just to put this in perspective, Visa charges a 2% fee to businesses so a $15 charge for the manicure would have cost them 30 cents. They turned away new business for 30 cents. And the kicker is that its close to my office so I most likely would have been a frequent repeat customer. Oh well.....

They have a minimum for a credit card and tips in cash. She wanted me to get up and go get the cash as I was getting my nails done. NOT, then she said customers that like my service come with cash or dont come at all. Well, guess I wont be coming at all because I dont like your demeanor. Careful, you have some violations going on there missy! There are plenty of other nail salons in the area. TaTa!

Long story short: this place has poor customer service and poor quality manicures and pedicure.I’ve been to this location twice now, the first time in March and the second time today (September 28th). I was reluctant to go back after the first time because of the lackluster and overly short pedicure and the same quality manicure. I was also put off by how they hassled my friend and I for tips after we already provided a decent amount. Plus, I always tip well even when the service is not up to par.Today, I went in because I wanted chrome nails. I asked a couple questions about services and solidified a price before the manicurist began. She shaped my nails incorrectly, did a sloppy job on my cuticles, and left the nails looking thick and bulky.At the end of the manicure, she did a lazy massage and handed me the cost of the manicure session. For some reason, the cost was above the original quoted price, but I paid it anyway so I could be on my way. Since the price was over and she really did a poor job, but I didn’t want to just not tip her, I tipped her $5. She then began to moan and groan about how she spent such a long time on my nails.... well they don’t look great and my nails/cuticles now need to be nurtured back to health.

I thought there were good but seems like the service has changed a lot (in a bad way) they rushed to do your nails and they dont even get it right. They are incredible fast to ask you (YES THEY ASK FOR TIP) for the tip. Horrible...dont waste your time coming here. Very Dissapointed

You can be in and out in 15 minutes. sloppy, dirty salon, and mani doesnt last, but its quick and convenient. ive been here maybe 5 times and always walk out saying wow this is the worst manicure ive ever gotten but for some reason I keep going back because its so close to the office

This is by FAR the worst nail salon I have ever been to. There are hidden fees everywhere so you think you’re paying one price yet you end up actually paying an EXTREMELY higher price. A lot of things that they offer like gel nails do not say that they are $20 more yet they are. I thought I would be paying $28 without tip but it ended up being $61. Are you kidding?? I will never be returning. I strongly suggest that you never go to this place.

This is a CHOP SHOP! Do not go to this SALON!!!!My girlfriend and I decided to try this nail salon on our lunch hour. They have a $22 manicure and pedicure special on Thursdays and Fridays so we said why not.First, let me start by saying that there is absolutely no room to move, between the pedicure, manicure and drying stations, along with the workers and then mix in customers during lunch. Insanity! Anyway, we made appointments and we didnt have to wait.Second, the person that does your pedicure, does not do your manicure, therefore, you have to tip 2 people instead of 1.Third, After getting in the pedicure chair, we realized that the tools needed were sitting next to the chair, exposed. Not sure if they were used already, prior to us sitting in the chair or just taken out. Nothing was sterilized. My usual salon opens the package of tools right in front of me. Not here.Ill stick to my usual place that is twice the price of this, any day of the week. I need to make sure that I dont catch a disease from recycled tools that havent been sterilized.They do not have a register. All cash is stored a drawer. Very shady business routine.
