This place is truly amazing! Gem of NYC at the center of Manhattan! We have been 2 weeks in the apartment of AKA United Nations and we are more than satisfied. Their staff, especially Dasha made us feel like at home and we really enjoyed! The size of the apartment, design and views are just remarkable! Really much more than you will get at other places in NYC! Gym is also state of the are, with last generation of TechnoGym equipment! This is for sure one of the best places we ever staid when traveling and we will surely be coming back!Thank you so much guys! ๐
I am being generous rating this place 1 star. If zero was an option, I would have chosen that given the appallingly poor experience I had.But to be fair, thought Iโd start with some positives:- the apartments are spacious for NYC- the courtyard area is nice and the office has printing facilities, which I found quite usefulNow the annoying part:- housekeeping is non existent. They advertise once a week housekeeping, which I would have been happy with. But itโs now day 12 of my stay and no housekeeping in sight. I came home to find all my towels gone, so canโt even have a shower.Requested a towel about 35mins ago, which has not made its way to my room yet!!!!- the lighting is barely sufficient, especially in the living area. I had to borrow a lamp from a friend so Iโd have enough light to work on my computer.- the heating/ventilation system is rather noisy, so donโt expect to have a good night sleep.- there are no curtains, so itโs hard to block the light pollution out.
I had a great stay here! Its really convenient in terms of location and the staff were great as well, always ready to help. The apartment itself is a decent size for a short stay and was equipped with quality furniture and appliances. Cant really think of anything bad, other than that the lighting was pretty dim (I had the blinds almost the entire time) - but all in all, excellent!
Great facility and staff. I stayed for three months. The evening that I arrived I asked for restaurant recommendations. The desk clerk hand wrote two suggestions for every type of food among the 100 restaurants and bistros in walking distance. Great suggestions.
Excellent, clean, quite rooms. Wonderful staff. Might be my favorite hotel in NYC. Definitely want to come back. Would recommend to anyone.
First off...we checked in November 4thOur contract at Mount Sinai Hospital lasts tilMarch 23rd...Were having a terrific time here in Manhattan...lots of amenities here..A gym...a doorman..a concierge..a meeting roomA laundry that even supplies the detergentAnd wonderful courtyard in back..its an ideal location...were 7 blocks from Times SquareAbout 10 blocks from Rockefeller center..Were also 1 and a half blocks from the United Nations General Assembly Building..and the east River..weve got fantastic shopping all around us..with fantastic foods as well..
Great modern style extended stay with plenty of space for a room in Manhattan. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice quiet and secluded spot in the city.
Excellent staff and the room was incredible. Best hotel Ive ever stayed in, by far. The decor was so nice that I took pictures to inspire me when setting up my own apartment
Big appartment, very nice decorated, everything very clean and very well maintained. The staff is very helpful and willing to help. There is available coffee and tea the complete day. It was a fantastic stay.
Its truly home away from home. Our room felt like a condo not like a hotel room. I usually get tired of hotels after 3-4 days and Im starting to miss my home even though Im always enjoying my vacations. AKA has designed their rooms to feel like a condo apartment, living room has a comfortable couch, kitchen is supplied with quality dinnerware and appliances. No cheap coffee maker but a good one with a built-in coffee grinder so you can enjoy the coffee you love drinking at home. Its easy to cook, again you have great appliances, gas stove, oven, full size refrigerator and dishwasher. Bed and pillows are really comfortable as well. You have two kind of pillows, softer and harder one, so you can sleep almost like at home. Towels are also top quality. Hotel doesnt have restaurant, but they do serve a mini breakfast in their lounge area, every morning you can pickup your fruit: apple or banana, mini pastry: chocolate or almond croissant and cinnamon swirl. Plus tea and coffee, but again we were making our own coffee and tea in our room. Location of the hotel is absolutely amazing, you are really in the center of the Manhattan. Walking distance to Central Park and Time Square. Everyone walks in NYC so you will fit right in or you can take a cab. Hotel has also fitness center, we didnt have time to use it but if I was staying there for more than 5 days, Id definitely use it. Front desk and door men are always very welcoming and extremely helpful. We got a chance to work with Bethanny and she was fantastic, 5 star service without a doubt. Overall, Id highly recommend this place to everyone! Skip the regular hotel setting with their used rooms, stained carpets and not detailed oriented housekeeping staff.
Its a lovely place to stay. Rooms have a balcony and you get ample of sunlight.
I stayed more than 2 months and the family atmosphere from all the workers there is the most thing that impressed me most and the king size bed is a benefit that I didnt find in every hotel
Its really nice and the service is impeccable
Beautiful apartments to rent, high value for money for NYC (very expensive standard), absolutely suggested for a visit a NYC
It was home for 6 months. great staff!
Location, modern, very well appointed.
