Check out their website and get their direct number - you can call any day of the week and ask if they’ve had any show tickets donated! I didn’t have any luck with it this past trip (mid August), but apparently they get more later in the year. This place has three large rooms - plenty of space to spread out! There are some super comfy couches right in front of a large TV. There’s a room with two large fridges filled with soda and a counter with coffee and snacks (cheez-its and animal crackers). All the volunteers I spoke with were super nice!
The place is a bit dated but I could care less about that for sure. The staff there is exceptionally well trained and friendly and they are never short of provisions. I certainly cant complain about the new computers they got in the lounge and the unarguable convenient location they are at, right above the PABT and the biggest subway hub in the entire NYC.If you want free Broadway tickets, tourism information, or simply a place to chill and relax after a long day at work before your commute back home, stop at this USO for sure.
I was stressed because I moved to the Bronx and had to sign my DD214 but everywhere I tried to sign into NSIPS the network was not working and I even bought a card reader. Finally I found a USO in Manhattan that allowed me to accomplish what I needed to do! Thank you so much!
As an Airman, I’m very appreciative of both the USO facilities and the staff. It was great!!! I highly recommend for any service member passing through. It was a life saver for me!
Tricky to find. This USO location is a bit tricky to find because its located out of sight behind a large partition in the Port Authority Bus Terminal North Wing, 2nd floor. There will be no signs to guide you in the terminal and the information Kiosks only show information for the buses. Easiest way to find it is to follow the sign for the Rest Room on the second floor, and to the left of the Rest Room behind the partition with the ticketing machine, is where the USO is located
Does not allow veterans, unless you have a retired ID. The lady was nice though.
Always there to support us the military service members, they always have good tickets for NYC even, some time even broadway tickets best seats. So convenient.
Really great place. This is my second favorite USO. Lots of snacks. TVs, and a knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Is this place for homeless? Don’t waste your time at USO
Nice place to get a start on the City. Very friendly and they give great advice on getting show tickets. Internet, coffee, light snack, drinks, TV, lounge and games. No restroom unfortunately you have to use the restroom in the bus terminal. The bus terminal restroom is very busy.
Always a smile; wonderful people. They do a great job.Thank You USO!
Lovely people! Great for advice on getting around the city!Jack (British Navy)
The best uso Ive ever been to. Sometimes they give you free tickets for Broadway musical.
Just visited here for the first time and the staff are awesome, along with the amenities for DOD personnel and guests.
If you are active or retired this is a MUST stop. You can get all the gouge on free places, tickets, and how to max your earned status as a defender of our nation in Manhattan. Manhattan is not cheap, but this USO sure helps!
Excellent,They helped my wife and I get oriented. They helped us find a place to stay.
Valerie and Gabby helped me a lot! Theyre very heart warming and nice. Thanks for your service to the military personnel.
Centric, a lot to do as far as entertaining and just one thing I didnt like. They have no printers for the computers.
First visit to NY and stopped by the USO. Awesome people as always. Had tickets to a couple Broadway shows and some last minute tickets to a Yankees game!!!
Thank you for your service USO. Great people doing an awesome job!
