Dan has a calm and honest approach to therapy. I appreciate his realistic advice. He very often validates my feelings and gives me tools on how to cope with certain situations. He also shows me some tough love when I need it, and again, shares ideas on how to work through the issues. I always leave our sessions feeling like I have made progress. I highly recommend Dan to anyone seeking therapy.
I am so thankful for Dan Weiss. His kind attention over the last couple of years has allowed me to pin down some really squirmy issues and actually deal with them. He is very good at giving that nudge I need to move forward. Im impressed by his ability to listen and draw out what is actually going on, instead falling for the smoke screens that I inadvertently make for myself. Hes a wise, kind advocate to have on your side, and I recommend him very highly.
Dan was always there when I needed to talk and he never missed an appointment. He is direct, honest, and a good listener, all of which helped me immensely. He is reliable and flexible, able to easily accommodate your schedule. I had to stop seeing Dan because I moved cities, but I would continue to see him regularly if I were able.
That One-in-a-Million TherapistOk, I havent met a million therapists, but over a long adult life, I have worked with a few. Dan stands out for keen insight, full engagement (Ive never seen him come close to a yawn), forthrightness and compassion. Dan connects. The room feels live. After our 3-year individual and/or group therapies ended, I contacted Dan over a year later when a life-altering challenge arose. That worked out great too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Dan is kind and calm and patient, qualities that make him a great therapist. Therapy can be really hard, but he tries to make it/me as relaxed as possible. Dan listens if I want to talk, but is also OK talking or just sitting quietly.Ive been to a few doctors/therapists, many of whom were hard to talk to or otherwise insufferable. So finding Dan was kind of amazing.
My experience with Daniel Weiss Therapy was nothing but positive. I found myself in a professional environment where the attention was invested and personal, and most importantly where I felt comfortable to be open. I found myself getting compassionate, honest feedback and felt that nothing but my best interest was at heart. Dr. Weiss pushed me to face my issues head on, didnt give up on me and showed me that most importantly I shouldnt give up on myself. I would recommend Daniel Weiss to any and everyone.
I have been seeing Dan for a number of years, because he keeps helping me to meet new challenges. He is easy to talk with, trustworthy and has helped me to get to answers on my own - not given them to me. Plus, he is a real person. Spending time unravelling a problem with him is not sitting across from a therapist-bot. His office has been a safe place for me to unload and then re-evaluate my fears. Ive been able to make game plans for difficult situations, instead of avoiding them.My life feels like it has more options now, and Dans encouragement (and prodding :) has been integral to that process.
Its not easy to find someone who you feel really listens and understands you, even amongst therapists! But from the get go I felt that Dan really understood what I was going through and wanted to help, giving insights into situations and my own experiences that I could not possibly have found on my own. I attended weekly sessions for a year and a half, and after improvement it was not necessary to make appointments so frequently. But even years later I will still reach out to Dan when I am going through a difficult time or experiencing some problem. 45 minutes can really open up a world of solutions or possibilities, or just a new perspective. More times than one Dan has revolutionized the way I approach life and its problems, and its not hard to say that he changed my life for the better, maybe even saved it. I am very grateful to him and Im sure others will find the same care and understanding that I found in his practice.
Daniel Weiss is extremely professional. He is knowledgeable in his field, human and sincere during sessions. I highly recommend his services.
I have known Dan Weiss for over 8 years now; I have found him to be consistently professional, empathic and available . . . Having worked in the helping professions for well over 30 years, I find Dan to epitomize those qualities that embody a top-shelf therapist.
