I have been working with Angela at Taylor Hodson during my job search and she has been a pleasure to work with. She is very prompt to reply to any questions or comments I have (which can be many at times) and she genuinely considers positions that are good fits. The entire team is very helpful at preparing you for interviews and following up after. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is for the narrow assortment of industries they work with.

Lauren has been my contact from the beginning and is always lovely, great at communicating and hugely receptive to me coming back. Taylor Hodson is the only search firm in the city which has a true variety of roles on which they are working on a daily basis but also the ability to place candidates who are interested in more senior or specific positions. They truly listen to each contact and present them opportunities that fit their expertise, interest, and requirements. There is no one size fits all mentality or generic slate of jobs, all cases are handled individually so the candidates success rate in getting the job is high from the first interview on. More importantly, its the only firm I have met whose clients are 100% committed to them and rave about long-standing relationships. Taylor Hodson spends time with each person, treats them like human beings, and actually places them at dream jobs - all in the most respectful and professional way. I would never go elsewhere and plan to one day becoming a client after being their candidate.

She made important edits to my resume and offered multiple positions suited to my skill set. They work with many prestigious companies and have great positions available. Along the way she provided her knowledge and positive support to help and guide me.I have been to many other agencies in the city but always return to Taylor Hodson. I found their assistance so grand that I continue to send all my friends and former colleagues to them, many of which found wonderful placements. Went years ago and I recall the CEO, Minerva, I think it was her, she was an obese lady with short wavy hair. Anyhow, she was really rude and unprofessional towards me. Even though I have more education than she does and attended way better universities than she did. Dont know if it was jealousy or she was having a bad day, but will never forget how rude she was. Now that Im older and think back I dont know how anyone would go to this agency. The fish stinks from the head. Anyhow, did go to another employment agency at the time, in NY. And they were superb. Found me a job making six figures. Treated me so much better. Hope they improved and learned how to be more professional and respectful. I would never recommend them.

I love this agency. Eddie.R is a God-send! Theyve always gotten me out there and the opportunities Ive been opened up to have been great. I started with them in 2008 and have had wonderful assignments and consistent work. I was able to go to school full time and work enough to have an income. I even landed my current job through them in 2010 and it has been a blessing since. The skills I picked up have helped me in the corporate world tremendously. I refer people here all the time and theyve never complained. A gem in the bustling flatiron district, they look out for and appreciate hard workers. Great company!

I had a fantastic experience with Taylor Hodson, and I would highly recommend their services to anyone looking to work with a placement agency. Back in 2006 I was living in Boston and planned to move to NYC; with the help of Minerva (owner) and her great team, they were able to place me in a Fortune 500 company. The interviewing process for the company I worked for took 5 interviews. Minerva and her team were great in making sure that all details of the process and next steps were clearly outlined, and I felt I had a true support in each time I went in for the next round of interviewing. I ended up staying with the company they placed me in for 3 years (before I moved to PA). Im sad to see some poor reviews on here, and that is definitely why I wanted to take a minute to give my honest review of Taylor Hodson. So often people dont always remember to review a company or service when they are exceptional - usually its the few that had a poor experience for whatever reason. Dont let the few who wrote poor reviews here sway you from Taylor Hodson... I wish I had written this positive review years ago!!! I suppose late is better than not at all :-)

Once I put in a request to be contacted, the process was quick to meet at the office. Then weeks went by with no contact. I tried reaching out to the person I had spoken to multiple times with no response. Dont waste your precious time with this agency!

One of the Best Agencies in NYC! Easy to apply, working the first week. Hours ranged from a couple to full time. I had the choice to take a job or not which allowed for flexibility in my other endeavors. Relatively short lulls between jobs, I could say that I was supporting myself solely on the money earned from my temp work. Although not necessary, I would consider obtaining a reference or recommendation before submission. Otherwise, gear up for the interview and be prepared. A conscious, in-the-moment worker is present and open for anything, ready for everything. The office team is courteous, talented and resourceful. They will open up a world of opportunity for you to gain experience from multiple job sectors; consider it paid training for the future. If you are diligent, curious, self-motivated, inventive, affable and open, you will go far. Hands down awesome experience! Started out in the temp dept. I enjoyed the benefits of not being tied down to anything. When my plans switched, the office team was supportive in creating a permanent opportunity for me. Looking back, I wish that I could work at both places. I am very happy with my job placement, Thank you, thank you! Dont limit yourself. Dont expect them to do all the work for you. Realize that this is your career and you cant rely on anyone else other than yourself for getting that to happen. Analyze your goals, establish an action plan and keep working towards networking and surrounding yourself with people that will effectively establish the right connections. You need to consider them as a resource that will guide you into creating a work path. Be a go-getter and youll achieve what you deserve. You get what you put into it. Nick with Taylor Hodson was quick to find me an IT position for $25/hour with a good nonprofit company that I liked... at first. However, there were issues with my paychecks; they dont have an option for direct deposit and there was major inconsistencies with when my checks would arrive in the mail. A few times the envelopes werent even sealed, another time my paycheck arrived three weeks late and was told I wouldnt get paid at all until my missing check was found. When I tried to discuss this and other matters about my temp assignment with Nick, I was brushed aside and even laughed at. Im thankful for the work they found me but felt disrespected and undermined towards the end of my employment with them. Definitely do not recommend, especially if youre dependent on your income every week.

I was introduced to Janice Crosby by an ex colleague. I had met with other recruting companies larger then Taylor Hodson but none of them compare to this firm! Janice helped me tweak my resume, gave me great insights personally and professionally. Within a month, Janice had me going into a few interviews all of which were great companies. At the end, Janice and Minerva helped me land a wonderful role and Im so thankful to them. They are kind, considerate, smart and care about you. As most people know, moving to New York is a common dream... but what most may not know, is that finding a job in New York is one of the biggest obstacles a person will face in once they get here! It really doesnt matter how long you went to school, or what amazing you job you might have had in your desired field in another state... what matters is NY experience. Finding a good staffing agency that will go to bat for you is SUPER important. Honestly, if I hadnt have found TH, I wouldnt be living in New York today. About a year before I was planning to move from Houston, TX, I sent an email to TH inquiring about a job that was posted on their website. I just wanted to get a feel for who they were and what kind of money I might be able to make being placed in a role through staffing in NY. Within 24 hours, I had a response, and a very personal one, from none other than the president of the agency. I was floored. She offered guidance and her point of view, and then told me that if I did end up moving, that I should come in and see her personally. About a year later to the day, I walked into TH for the first time. That was January of 2013. Its a long story, that I wont bore everyone with the details on, but the ending is too good not to share! After less than 8 weeks, I was placed in an AMAZING job, making far more than I ever thought I would for my first roll in this city, and doing EXACTLY what I wanted to do. The TH team did all the work... they reached out to the clients, they prepped me for interviews, they comforted me when jobs didnt work out... and they celebrated with me when the dream job rolled around. Honestly, the people at this agency take a personal approach to staffing and that is what makes them so special. They dont just take in as many clients and applicants as they can, they screen and take the time to build a relationship so that when they are vouching for someone, they are proud to put the TH name behind them, and the candidates are proud to be part of the TH family. Emily German is the sweetest and kindest recruiter out there. She is brilliant at what she does. They have a select amount of customers, therefore they spend the time it takes to help each individual person. I immediately felt less pressure knowing they would help find me a position. This agency gets below poor rating. I spoke to Stacy Mustard (who can forget that name) and after the interview (which I thought went well) refused to talk to me or even accept my phone call. Although, I was incredibly qualified person, I guess she deemed me below her level so she never ever wanted to recommend me for a job. She was highly unprofessional and just plain rude and horrible. Never would recommend this agency to anyone.. not even to my worst enemy. I hope they fired her by now.. She was horrific.

I called and the told me they dont make appointments, I would have to email my resume and cover letter and some would get back to me. I did exactly that and never heard back. I called again and was told to try applying online as they get an influx of people. So I did just that.A week later I received an email from their staffing coordinator who told me they have jobs that are exactly what Im looking for and wanted to confirm my available hours to work. I let her know and guess what....never heard back from her. I sent her a follow up email and she never replied...I guess Ill have to make another call.If you cant make appointments via phone how are you suppose to ever interact with someone? Especially when they keep blowing you off....

When I was looking to change jobs, I reached out to Minerva Taylor of Taylor Hodson because another friend of mine had worked with her successfully and loved her.Since then, I would say Taylor Hodson is the most responsive of all the headhunters I have ever met with. So many times I had unreturned calls, questions or emails left unanswered by other head hunting firms, but with Taylor Hodson, I was never left in the dark.Minerva tells you like it is, she wont sugar coat anything for you, but you know what? It made me a better interviewer and better candidate. The first time I ever met with her, I was a little taken aback by what I thought was harsh but now I look back on that and know she was only prepping me to nail the interview she was sending me on.I have been sent on a few interviews by Minerva and I was always impressed with the caliber of companies she was working with. In fact, back in April she placed me with an amazing investment bank. Im not an easy candidate, I have a million questions and Im very impatient, and Minerva was great with me all the way though. She prepped me for my interview, made sure I was ready to go, and was always sure to answer my questions and provide quick company feedback.I wound up getting the job and leaving my old job for this new one. Minerva walked me through how to quit properly and what sort of paperwork I needed, she negotiated my offer letter, start date and salary, making the whole experience extremely easy for me and I felt very comfortable the whole time. She really will fight for you.Once I was in the new seat, I was unsure if I liked it, and Minerva spent a few evenings on the phone with me, talking me through all issues. She wanted me to be happy in the new role, she cares about the person, not just the check for placing me there.Turns out, I LOVE the new job and firm, just like she said I would. I went in there miserable in my old job and she listened and got me the exact job I wanted. I cannot recommend Taylor Hodson highly enough.Im surprised by the other reviews, because I have sent friends and even my husband to Minerva in the past and she has always been very responsive and helpful. I would use and recommend her over everyone else out there.

HORRIBLE. Im an employer and I contacted this agency to find an employee to hire and they simply wasted a lot of my time. They are greedy and basically charged triple rate and only wanted to pay the employee min wage!! I would NOT recommend any employee looking for a job go to this agency. They are extremely unprofessional and RUDE! and from all the reviews I see my inclination was correct.
