Highly recommend! Ive gone to several piercing places over the years, and this has by far been my best experience, even in NYC. Piercing appointments here are always booked a few months out, so I thought it might be a bit of a wait given how busy they are, but it was so efficient! I was in and out with two new piercings in less than 15 minutes. From check-in, to my piercing, everything was seamless, and Ash did an excellent job on both of my piercings. Ive seen some complaints about pricing, but I find Studs pricing to be very fair for the NYC piercing & jewelry market. Ive spent more for less high quality jewelry and a single piercing - both of which took quite a bit longer and happened in a much less welcoming environment. Would definitely recommend this Studs location, but plan your piercing a few months in advance, this is not the last minute kind of place. Worth the wait though!! I will definitely be back, thanks Studs Nolita team!

They are a lovely piercing place. I do think very expensive and overpriced. You pay for the studs and earrings. I did four piercings on two separate visits. All together it was $200+ for the earrings, piercings and cleaning tool. Service excellent and they will ask if you are ok and how you want your things pierced and what not. I would say shop around and go elsewhere if you are on a budget or just can’t justify the spend. It was well worthy it.

Ive been going to Studs for a couple years now for not only piercing appointments but for jewelry shopping. It can be difficult to get an appointment in the near future, so its best to plan ahead. But the studio is very clean and organized. And Ive always felt valued by the staff. The piercers are cool and calm and always make me feel comfortable.

I had an amazing experience going to get new lobe piercings after a 15+ year hiatus. The front staff were accommodating when I decided to do two instead of one, and my piercer (also Ava) walked me through the details and was extremely reassuring. I am so happy I can’t stop looking at them in the mirror!

Everyone working here is very friendly and helpful. It can definitely get busy and chaotic in the shop but the staff always take the time to answer questions. Payten was my piercer and she was great! Talked me through every step and made the whole process quick but personal. Will definitely be going back for another piercing. Just make sure you book ahead, I booked mine one month in advance.

Have been obsessed with Studs jewelry and was able to snag a piercing appointment one day. I showed up late (oops) but they were really gracious and accommodated me. Shoutout to Ashley who had me pierced and on my way in no time!

I love my new piercing! Ava was so fast I barely felt the conch piercing, and was also so respectful and and informative through the whole process. I really felt a lot of trust in her and felt that she really cared about my piercing and how it will heal. The vibe in Studs is so cool and fun, and everyone who worked there was honestly so gorgeous and stylish. The jewelry is also so cute, and I love that they sell singles so you can mix and match and create your own look. Definitely going to be getting all future piercings here.

Just had 2 piercings and an exchange with Jess. What a pleasantv experience . From the minute you walk in to leaving. EVERYONE was so friendly and helpful. My piercer Jess was frantastic . She walked you through every step of your piercing. I just love my new additions to my ear. Thank you . If you have the ability to go anytime for an appt check periodically for cancellations. I loved this place. Their selection is great and quality stuff for affordable (by NY standards). My piercer, Ava, was fantastic and helped me so much with my complicated ear situation from mistakes adolescent me made by going to Claire’s. Plus women run businesses are dope.

The piercer drew the dot placement of where I wanted my piercings which I approved and then pierced my ear below the dot… and it’s been pierced at a weird angle compared to my other ear piercings so it irritates my ear and bleeds when I need to change my piercing. The placement looks ugly now and it always gets irritated because the earring is placed at an odd angle… it’s been 6 months and for an earlobe it’s still trying to heal.I’d pay the same amount to go to a reputable piercing shop without the cutesy jewelry and millenial/gen z designed space.

My experience was great. Went in for conch piercing and it was done so quickly and professionally that I barely felt the pain. Its now the second day and I dont see any swelling. I love the merch they give, and received plenty info on aftercare. Just hope they have more selection of solid gold jewelries.

Ive been wanting to get a piercing at Studs for some time - Im a huge fan of the aesthetic! So I finally summoned the courage to go last week. I ended up getting 2 piercings, and was pierced by Sage, who did an absolute beautiful job. She was incredibly professional and efficient, and made me feel super comfortable and, more importantly, excited!!! The entire staff was absolutely lovely and I had a great experience overall. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a seamless piercing experience!!!

I am not one to post a negative review, but this place warranted one. I saw this store online and wanted some assistance in filling 4 holes in my ear with cute studs. The earrings are well priced and cute; that was not the problem. After having a visibly hard time putting in the earring in my cartilage, one of the workers proceeded to tell me “there’s a $15 piercing replacement” and gave immense attitude while doing so. ( the problem wasn’t the price, it was the tone and the way it was said) So what was the point for me to buy an earring so hard to put in if you are not going to help with a polite attitude. I ran out of the store because the service was absolutely atrocious and all the workers, but one, were side eyeing me. Save your coin and go somewhere with better people.

Walked in and the counter girl was on her phone. No one acknowledged me coming in and once she looked up at me, she rolled her eyes and told me she needed to take my temperature. She takes my temperature and immediately is back on her phone. Her attitude sent me out the door, not to mention everything is gold PLATED. Much rather would go to the accredited piercing studio around the corner. Much nicer staff and better quality jewelry.

Studs was GREAT! They were efficient and kind and worked with you. Also wheelchair accessible - just need to ask for a small ramp thats not steep.

I went to their Hudson Yards location and it was absolutely amazing! I was getting my cartilage pierced and am fairly squeamish but Ava walked me through it step by step and made me feel so safe. For someone with a relatively low pain tolerance, it was quite painless. I would definitely go back in the future if I want another piercing and will definitely recommend to friends and family.

After seeing studs on social media, i made an appointment at the nolita location to get two piercings. one of my ears is a little wonky - it has a fold in the lobe - and when i got my ears pierced the first time they put the hole in a weird spot, low on the lobe. 20 years later, i decided to get it fixed - and studs did a great job! friendly atmosphere, great jewelry selection, and everything feels clean and safe. will definitely be going back for more piercings and jewelry!

Ive been wanting to get a piercing at Studs for a while now and finally made an appointment. I haven’t gotten anything pierced in 10 years so I was a bit nervous. I had a few ideas but wanted a professional to bounce ideas around with and help design my earscape. The entire staff was incredible. Soon as I walked in I was greeted and made to feel welcome and comfortable. My piercer was Ash and I can’t say enough great things. Ash walked through my ideas with me and made suggestions of what would work best for me. Ash helped me navigate the vast earring options and choose ones that would fit my aesthetic best. I ended up getting my tragus and helix pierced and both came out perfect. Ash was incredibly professional and efficient. The room was sanitized and organized and the process was smooth. Ash made me feel comfortable and eased any anxiety I had. I can’t wait for these two piercings to heal so I can go back and get more!

I went to get a fourth piercing and it was great. the workers there were super nice and my piercer was great. she was welcoming and warm and made me felt comfortable. it was super easy, i got to look at the look book to find what i wanted, chose an earring, and then got it done. it was super easy in and out and the experience was great. totally recommend.

Quick, easy and very professional piercing! Theyre only taking appointments due to Covid and they have all the safety measures (masks are required, temperature checks, etc). You get a consultation to pick your jewelry and the piercing is done in about 10 mins. Not really painful and very straightforward.

Deeply unprofessional, terrible experience. They canceled my appointment 40 minutes before it was scheduled to happen and offered me a $15 coupon after I wasted 2 hours traveling there and back in the pouring rain. The soonest they could reschedule me for was a month away.

I love this place for my piercings. I believe they are reasonably priced and the staff has been super cool and kind and helpful when I have visited. This time when I went, I told my piercer where I wanted my piercings. She proceeded to mark it without asking me where Id want the earring exactly or asked me to double check the placement they marked. I checked on my own and it was fine enough, however I would have liked if the person asked me beforehand. Other than that, it was a good time and I definitely will be visting Studs again :)

Studs is so wonderful! I got a 4th hole but also I had two holes I thought had closed and they helped me open up and pick out cute pieces to go in them. The process is quick and super clean! Will likely keep piercing more parts because of how much I enjoy going to studs.

I had a great experience getting my conch pierced at Studs by Ava. The space was very clean, everyone was professional, and Ava was a fantastic piercer — from helping me pick the perfect piercing jewelry to walking me step-by-step through aftercare. Everyone is different, but for me, the actual piercing itself didn’t hurt much and after a few days later my piercing is still healing beautifully. I’ll definitely return to Studs for my jewelry change (and maybe another piercing) once I’m all healed up!

First time going to Studs and had a great experience! Been a while since I had any new piercings, and appreciated their advice. Lots of reasonably priced piercing jewelry to choose from, and my peircer, Sage, was very friendly and helpful in deciding which piercings to get/in what order over multiple sessions. Ended up getting double forward helix piercings, which Im really happy with and seem to be healing well so far. Excited to go back once healed to downsize and get a couple more done!

This place is chic and trendy but im not as satisfied as i thought I’d be. I got my second holes pierced and they are crooked at an angle. They go at a slant and makes putting in new earrings feel awkward. Also, my piercing has not healed after 7 months. Not sure if this has anything to do with how the piercing is angled, but wanted to put that out there. I saline everyday.

As far as customer service goes, this place is great; everyone was super kind, helpful, and accommodating despite me being a few minutes late to my appointment. Given, the process was super super fast & not as ~personal~ as many of the other piercing studios I’ve been to. Would fully recommend this place for lobe piercings or if you’re used to getting piercings and know what to expect. I feel like you do get what you pay for, so if you’re looking for an in-depth & personalized experience...maybe go elsewhere. Regardless, my experience was nothing but good & I would fully recommend studs for anyone looking to get a quick lil piercing in a super friendly environment!!

Let me tell you, EVERYONE SHOULD GET THEIR EARS PIERCED AT THIS PLACE (especially the one in nolita)! When you first walk in, the ambience is super trendy and friendly. Also, very COVID safe. My piercer, Ashley, was sweet and talked me through everything even down to how my piercing should be properly taken care of. She is also great at giving recommendations towards what piercing may suit you best. It is a bit on the pricier side but I didn’t mind because the quality of what you are getting from the piercing to the jewelry is top notch! Will always go here for more from now on.

Studs is an absolutely amazing place to get a piercing - five-star experience starting from the front desk staff, who were so nice and accomodating - answering all my questions about jewellery choices for my conch piercing and aftercare, my lovely piercing specialist Ashley, who made me feel super comfortable, even though I was a bit stressed. She is so professional! The piercing didnt hurt at all and four days in nothing hurts still. Ive had eight piercings done previously, and I never felt so positive about my experience - cant wait to go back for the next one! :)The studio itself is gorgeous too- its beautifully designed and super clean! You can see that they are very serious about following protocols for sanitizing and keeping people safe. My temperature was taken upon arrival, disposable masks are available if you forgot to bring yours.Overall a truly five-star experience - will be back for sure! :)

I got my first cartilage piercing here at Studs Nolita! The staff was so friendly and helpful and their COVID precautions made me feel like that wasnt a huge risk. My piercer, Rebecca, was quick, clean, and professional and gave me so much information to keep my piercing clean and healthy. I waited to write this review in case my piercing got infected but it did not! If you listen to their instructions, your piercing will heal so nicely! My friend and I went in to get our ears pierced at the beginning of January and did a lot of research on the place before booking an appointment slot. While booking it online, I noticed that there was an option to have two people in one appointment, which I thought meant that one price would cover both of us ($50 for two piercings, for two people was my assumption). I then sent in a question to customer service to clarify this, to which they replied vaguely that yes, two people could get their ears pierced in one appointment. We still went and got our ears pierced, but to our surprise had to pay full price separately for each of us. Disappointing, misleading, and expensive.My piercings turned out fine, I was getting a second piercing on each of my lobes for context. However, they messed up my friends piercings, which were her first. Overall not a great experience and I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially people who are inexperienced with ear piercings.Seems like a place more prioritized on their aesthetic than on the quality.

Updating my own review to share even more praise for Studs! My earring fell out so I reached out to them via Instagram and email and they responded almost immediately. They squeezed me in for an appointment the very next day and quickly repierced & replaced my jewelry. Thanks so much again!

This is by far the worst piercing experience I have EVER had. The girls working at the front were cold and rude. I had messaged the store prior to coming in to ask for a photo of the piercing options. Their response was that I’d have time, and help from them in store to pick earrings. When I arrived, they showed me the options and when I asked for help picking, the girl literally said she had no clue...no opinion.. nothing. Not to mention they were rushing me to pick. And when I decided I wanted to switch an earring they said NO. I hadn’t even gotten pierced yet... I had to keep it and ended up paying over $250.Flash forward to today. (Less than 24 hours later). One of the earrings FELL out. I rushed to the store and thankfully there was a different piercer working. She had to re-pierce my ear to put the earring back in. So painful. I spent over $250 dollars at this place and I’ve never been more upset by a purchase and experience.HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND. Trendy does not equate to quality. Go anywhere else..!!!!

I had a great experience here yesterday getting two piercings with Rebecca. I was initially a little disappointed by the piece of jewelry I wanted most being out of stock, and that my desired placement for one piercing was not recommended due to the shape of my ear, but I actually love the placement I ended up with and most of all I LOVE that she really took her time with me getting it both marked in a place that she believes will heal the best and looks good between my existing holes, and did not just pierce me where I said I wanted knowing that it would not heal well. I’ve struggled with a lot of my piercings, which we talked about, and she took that into consideration when we talked placement.The studio has a fresh, inviting look and vibe, a departure from your traditional tattoo/piercing studio (not knocking it, but that can be intimidating to some, driving them to make the terrible decision to go get a gun piercing at the mall). I love the simplicity of the studs and ears only model, and their jewelry is high quality and cool. Pricing is right and the package of stickers, stick-on earrings, and punch card they send you off with is just adorable. Also, their COVID safety compliance was A+. I will definitely be back!!One thing to note, they do not accept cash, so come prepared to pay by card/digital wallet.

I am very disappointed in Studs. It was my first time getting a piercing. I wanted to get the bottom of both of my lobes pierced. Walking in, the store seemed clear and chic, however, my experience was anything but. To start off, I had to get both my piercings redone here TWICE. The second time, I was left so dissatisfied I went to Boston to get a consultation with a certified professional. More on that later.My first piercings were done by Sage. She reassured me multiple times she wanted these piercings to be perfectly symmetrical. I was mistakenly confident she would do a good job. At the time, I was pleased with the positioning of the piercings from the front. However, my mom noticed they were both crooked in the back. The piercing went in at a diagonal and the hole in the back was higher than the front (this was the case for both ears. The first two pictures are attached below for reference). My piercings were crooked AND off-centered in the back (photos 3 & 4). Though the positioning in the back shouldn’t matter, the constant reminder of having crooked, off-centered piercings will always bother me (especially considering how crooked my piercings were—it was definitely noticeable if one looked closely!)I promptly emailed Studs and went in the next day to see how they would fix their mistake. I was consulted by a second piercer, Ash, who agreed the piercings were crooked and the asymmetry would be noticeable if I were to wear huggies. She said I could get a redo free of charge and took my piercings out. She scheduled an appointment for me a week from then for the redo. I walked out a little worried about getting my ears pierced again at the same store. However, I convinced myself since it was a different piercer everything should be perfect, right? The atmosphere during my second time piercing was a little... rushed. As if they couldnt wait to get my problem solved as fast as they could so they are able to continue onto other people who were paying to get their ears pierced. I explained that I wanted to have my left piercing move upward just a touch (Ive noticed the front of my piercings were not actually symmetrical, the left side was just a millimeter lower than the right). I asked her to mark the back of the ears so there wouldnt be a repeat of the first time, however, this was fruitless as the back was STILL off-centered after my redo. Also, the positioning of the left piercing from the front was the same as the first time it was pierced, meaning my wish to move it up did not happen. The piercings were, sadly, still crooked. (photos 5 & 6 below show this). I was quite disappointed as I gave them a chance to correct their mistake to no avail. I certainly will NOT return a third time. Fool me once, shame on you—fool me twice, shame on me.I had a consultation with a professional piercer in Boston on how to proceed. They agreed it was still crooked. Inserting an earring into my left ear would be annoying as the hole in the back is still higher than the front. She said if I truly felt like I wanted to redo my piercings a third time because I was so bothered by it then she could do it. I agreed. She gave me another tidbit of information I found interesting to share. After examining the earrings I bought from Studs for the piercing, she realized they both purchased from the same company. The cheapest option Studs has for ball piercings is the 16mm version which I bought (for $30 EACH). Turns out the 16mm version of ball piercings was discontinued by the company that makes them! This means the back of my piercings will not fit with any of the current models. I would have to purchase entirely new piercings if I wanted to switch. This reflects on the quality of Studs.Tldr: CHECK THE BACK OF YOUR PIERCINGS TO MAKE SURE THEY’RE NOT CROOKED!!! I wasted the $50 it took to get the piercings and after having them redone TWICE at Studs, I was still left disappointed and took them out to get them redone for a third time at a different location. Would not recommend this store. Studs is more for show than for quality.

Gave me a “rejected” smiley ear stud. Had it on for a bit and my ear was burning! (My ears are usually never sensitive. It could take any type of material) i looked super close and saw the sterling silver chipped. Sigh. Had to go back and return it. Shouldn’t have bought a returned ear stud. It was so darn cute though.Oh yes, I was told to wait outside of the store once even though I was already in, saying that it was too crowded (yes I get the store max capacity has decreased cause of covid). So okay I went out, and the next time I came by, there were definitely more than 5 ppl in and they didn’t ask anyone to wait outside (ermmmm...)No issues on return tho so that docked up a star.

Absolutely loved it! Super quick, clean, and easy. Their jewelry is to die for, and Ill definitely be back!
