My wife needed to sell her stake in an apartment she owned with her mother and stepfather from whom she was, and is, estranged. Basically, we needed enough money from the sale to make a down payment on a house, and we needed the process to be as quick and painless as possible. (We have a toddler and wanted to get the proceedings over with and then get on with our lives). He never lost sight of our goals even when we did. In the end, he got us a good settlement, but even more importantly: he steered us clear of a morass which at the time threatened to consume our lives. To do this, he counseled us against litigation, depriving himself a great deal of money. My takeaway: he’s not just a great lawyer, but a real human being as well.My wife and I are now disentangled from an awful situation, and in a home that we absolutely love. I’m so glad that we retained his services – this all could have gone very differently.If you’re thinking about calling, do it. Even before putting your credit card number down, you’ll likely feel what I did when I first spoke to him: relief … and hope for the future.

He and his associates took their time to address all of my questions comprehensively, and I was never left in the dark as to what was going on in my case. I never took the time to write a review for a professional service because I never felt obligated. When it comes to Daniel Gershburg, I feel obligated.I got myself into a real estate deal which is fraudulent to say the least. I fell into the trap of a group of people where the broker, seller, “my attorney” and “my lender” were working together to make a sizable profit on my expense. When I started asking questions, the broker threatened me that I may be sued for the seller’s damages if I were to walk away from the deal. It was a perfect plan for the fraud ring. I contacted a lawyer to rescue me from the deal who advised me that nothing can be done given that there is only 2 weeks left to closing. I was doomed and helpless.Then I googled “ny real estate lawyer reviews” and found Daniel Gershburg. I stopped by his office for an initial consultation. The first thing I noticed that he treats people as people not as another revenue stream. He put himself into my shoes, looked at the situation from my point of view and empathized for what I have gone through. Then he looked at the documents and looked up a few things about the property and the parties involved. In about 30 minutes he changed the mood in the room by confirming that it was not my fault and I have all the rights to not to be a victim. This happened on Fri, Nov. 16 2012.He went to work the same day, sent out legal notices to all parties involved backed by irrefutable research. On Tue. Nov 20, the seller’s attorney sent confirmation that the contract is cancelled and the down payment check is on my way. It’s the thanksgiving eve; I have a lot to be thankful for.
