Dont miss an opportunity to visit this landmarked treasure facing Washington Square Park. The admission is free with reservations. The art collections are well presented and can be viewed in an hour. Take time to appreciate the National Arts Club itself. Built in the 1800s it represents that time and the extraordinary talent pool needed to build it.
Excellent historic place where to eat and stay! Thank you for the collaboration with the Cliff Dwellers in Chicago enabling the visit to the warm and home like feel of your club and its residences. Dinner was amazing. Staff were all welcoming, kind, and helpful. We even had a tour! We will certainly stay again to take In all of the historically relevant and interesting details.
This is a private club. Most of the members are in the arts. The building on Gramercy Park in Manhattan that the club is located in was the residence of Samuel Tilden, a political figure in the 1800s who ran for President. There is currently an art exhibit at the club. Admission to the exhibit and therefore to some of the building is free for the general public- just go to their website and sign up. Though the works in the exhibit dont differentiate itself from much of what you see in galleries, its not bad and worth seeing. The building the club is in is definitely worth seeing .
The french Martini is to die for as is the sesame shrimp toast. The staff here is warm and friendly. I loved walking in to the pianist playing.
I love the NAC! They host beautiful musical events and exhibitions, and delicious food. The decor is outstanding
Beautiful Golden Age private club. Wonderful atmosphere
This place can be hit or miss. Essentially quite conservative the art worlds general pivot to figurative work has made it easier for this venu to exhibit more profound and contemporary art. A recent show featuring contemporary woman artists is excellent. See pics Ive posted including Kyle Staver who shows at Zurcher Gallery,. Run by the incomparable Gwenolee Zurcher.
Exemplary service from your amazing staff
Cozy convenient location in the city. The interior as well as the exterior are magnificent works of art.
Best AYCE Korean BBQ in midtown!!!
One of our guests did not receive his meal until the rest of the table had finished eating. Uncomfortable for all of us.
A really nice building with a really great interior. The staff are really friendly, and the doorman at the front reception, as well as the coat check staffer is especially nice to everyone. The programming was superb, I went in for a talk about Artificial Intelligence and it was a great talk. Bathrooms are a little hazardous since doors open like a two-way swinging, double doors, and with extra care and caution for others, you can totally avoid knocking into someone. Great space!
Very elegant place if your lucky to visit
I worked the Artist and had the time of my life. Sales were steady throughout all three days, and it was obvious this was a really well organized and well run con. Im sure this is a con thatll keep growing year to year.
Simply amazing space!
Fantastic. We were invited to the National Arts Club by a long time member. The staff were above and beyond and went out of their way to make our visit very special. The food was also exceptional. I cannot say anything bad about our afternoon at the club.
A beautiful institution! The history and the events here are what makes NYC so unique and wonderful.
A faintly Edwardian brownstone that seems an atmospheric venue for dramas and dance. Oil portraits in heavy gilt frames. Lots of stairs. Dress code (jackets, no jeans) appreciated.
Historic setting. Great art. Particularly enjoy the Pastel Society of Americas Annual show every September!
Beautiful building, interesting+ free event with writer Andre Aciman, cool rooms with sculptures+ art, worth a visit!
Beautiful gallery and wonderful space for artwork. Great customer service with the staff. You can set up a wine bar and have cheese and crackers. Good to show art, have a jazz band and playing music with friends.
Wonderful place. Drawing NY life drawing sessions are fantastic.
Whoa! Prepare to be mind blown by this historic venue in a beautiful neighborhood. This place is a great space for all kinds of art lectures.
This is a small gallery on the southern part of Gramercy Park. Its a cool space. If you have time on your lunch break, then definitely visit this area.
Good programs and looks like a mens club.
The National Arts Club is an impecable place to escape for artists and elite New Yorkers. New artists display their original art and events are held concerning culture, fashion, music and arts. All the art is proudly shared for members of the beautiful National Arts Club. Costume events can be a fun evening. The club is beautiful.
Great gallery space with amazing works and great atmosphere. And Robert is awesome!
The National Academy is a wondrous beautiful place, with paintings, furniture and items that like a time machine transports you through history.. +ERecording artist- Edwin Vazquez
The former home of one of the Roosevelts. It is a mansion converted into an art club. Lots of art and lots of culture. The interior of the building is fabulous and it is a great place to visit when they are conducting one of their many functions.
Attended two events. One art and the other tech. Hope to visit again soon.
I just love attending events at this old-fashioned yet fun club. Cool members, good Art and Technology talks.
A very lovely club/building - a time long gone. Art and dark wood and thick carpets. While a private venue, there are opportunities to visit for various events.
Ive been to several events here and its always been wonderful. The interior is absolutely lovely and great place for artists.
I did a figure drawing class here and it was a really fun/serious experience
I was fortunate to attend an event here. The club is beautiful and food was wonderful. The staff there is very caring and enjoyed my experience there.
Feel like royalty at every event.
By far the most respectful and professional staff. Great service! Great space!
I stayed here and when i arrived the room wasnt made up! There was a half eaten pizza on the table and the bed wasnt made. The staff were really rude about it too. If never recommend this place to anyone. Absolutely horrible experience. I think the reason there arent more reviews like mine is because other members are afraid to speak up, because I know that other members have had similar experiences.
Great art, very cool venue.
If you can, do. It’s a place of history and if you understand, you’ll love it.
Stunning. If your looking for a peaceful drink surrounded by Art, I recommend this hidden Gem
This was once one of the grandest best private clubs in NY but internal strife has gravely wounded it.
I went here for an engagement party. What a space! Velvet padding everywhere and gorgeous art adorning the walls. Id love an excuse to come back to an event here
Keep it classy NYC, the New York Browning Society as the oldest literary society in New York is a real treat to visit here!
