Small waiting area, given Covid times. Only negative. Terrific service. Person attending to us was very patient and helpful, and found flights that saved us money. Customer service was quite unlike our poor experience with the Air India call center.
Horrible. Stay away! We had to cancel our flight and they said we will receive refund within 21 days. It’s been 2 months now. Still no money back. And we have called over 6-8 times asking where our refund is, everyone says ‘oh it’s out of our control, we cannot do anything, please wait blah blah.’ Looks like they are hoping you get tired of calling them and they will eat your money once you give up. What a hassle. Terrible business.

Stay away from Air India. The worst customer service ever. They have no concept of customer service. Everyone passes the buck and tells you to call and send emails to someone else. No wants to actually help you.Does not even deserve 1 star rating.
I have not been refunded for my business class ticket by Air India NYC for 14 months Air India has the WORST customer service & management under Mr Ashok Gupta even worse US department of transport has asked them to respond to me regarding my refund but it has been two months but no reply the service is pathetic will never ever buy a ticket on Air India

I would not recommend anyone to travel via Air India, not only they have worst customer service but their flights are utterly uncomfortable, just wish if there would have another reasonable direct flights from NY to India. Cant enough say about their customer service: to avoid waiting on phone call i try to get some help via email, turned out they beat the record, no matter how many times you ask them your concern they just keep creating different cases with no response at all. Not sure if they are getting paid to just create tickets or what. Anyways so i called the support and after waiting in a queue for 50min, when finally got connected someone the phone disconnected in the middle and when i tried to call again, no response at all. Right now all I am trying to do is cancel my tickets and wish never to go through with such pain again.
An airline that wont even comply with US DOT guidelines.They cancelled my flight and refuse to refund $2042.00 dollars. Per US DOT guidelines airline must refund in full if they cancel the flight. Their customer service is a joke and they have no clue what is even US DOT mean. Shame!
Horrible service. After holding the phone for about an hour, they disconnect the line as soon as bell rings once.Chat person tells you to call them. Then whats the point of chat?Besides many times they cant provide reqd info, even if youre lucky to contact them.

How can the customer service of an International airline be so pathetic. They might as well tell people that we do not have a customer service department. Once you buy ticket, you are on your own.

Is there a way to put zero stars? 20 trips no frequent flyer miles then they want to sell me mileage. They get away with this as it is a short trip. O service, filthy crazy. I fly 6-8 times per year and now will find another carrier

Horrible service, I was not allowed to board a flight from Mumbai to JFK, New York because despite me checking in at 7 p.m. the staff dilly dallied till 7:58 p.m. to tell me my bag was overweight and I should buy another bag. When I asked them to wait for me as Ill hurry and do it, the person said no! After contacting the manager of the Mumbai Airport, Mr Debashish Golder, I get a response saying I was lying about the check in time and I actually checked in at 7:58 p.m., 2 minutes before the gates were to be shut. Also since Im a student I had to book a flight the same week and was forced to book air india business class as no other flights were available. I was also charged a $400 no show fee and a $ 250 reissue fee. Nobody does that! Air india is a scam, do not buy these tickets; they do not respect people especially women and ill treat and harass the passengers!
Worst experience.Bought ticket for the direct flight to New Delhi From Newark NJ but they made two stops (London and Ahmadabad) before Delhi.Incoming Flight: I had a ticket from New Delhi to Newark, but they made Mumbai stop and went through various security.I tried to call many times for complaint to airlines office in NYC, but nobody picks up the phone. Helpless.... start disliking AIR INDIA. Never recommend to anyone.
