I usually have good experiences with contractors who work on my house. My interactions with Renewal by Andersen started off well. We had a plan, the office and district manager were all attentive and upfront. I was even patient knowing that COVID was slowing down production, so I agree to have windows installed in February 2021 after speaking with them in November. February came and went, no communication. I called to check in since no one reached out to me. In March, I get a call to schedule a date,( after many texts to the District Manager). We are told a date, they cancel the next day citing because of the impending rain. Weeks go by, no one called to reschedule, no one reached out--no one! I then start texting my contact. This goes on until the third week of April. Then I find they lied. The first date was not due to rain, they could not get the product delivered. I would have understood that if they would have communicated that to me. By now I was worried that my window project was crashing down. After many texts and emptied apologies, I get my windows done. They did not offer any compensation for their bad business dealings and only today (April 29) that I have heard from them for me to share my feedback and dismay. So watch out for this company, they have no interest in making their customers happy but instead frustrating them to no end. Renewal by Andersen is not the company you want to work with. I only gave one star because I had to, otherwise they would have received no stars!

Would highly recommend Sears Home Improvement for windows. Salesperson David Kenyon was professional and thorough with the in-home consultant and sales process. Windows came in on time and the installation team did a fantastic job and took Covid precautions seriously which we appreciated. Our new windows look great and we couldn’t be happier

Communicating with the office was a bit of a problem. I had to call several times and even had to call corporate to get project status. However, the installation team was very professional. They worked quietly, efficiently, respectfully. The cleaned up after themselves, not only at the end, but every step of the way. Its only been a couple of days, but so far so good on the windows.I did not know, however, that I would be responsible for protecting the trim with stain, paint or polyurethane. That should have been explained during the sales process.Nevertheless, I am satisfied with the installation so far.

It’s been 8 months and my windows are amazing . I wanted to wait to get past a couple of seasons before reviewing and I must say they are holding up well. My old windows were drafty because they were the cheap contractor ones installed 15 years ago. The winters were ridiculous and the summers were brutal . What a difference decent windows make . It’s a long sit down with the sales rep (I did ha e like 20 of them ) but I must say worth it.

Do Not use this company. This division of Sears is run by corrupt people and upper management. Many unlawful actions. Choose a local reliable contractor instead. Phone calls to the office get juggled around and never handled properly.

My brother and I were so pleased with the service we received, from the awesome salesperson who came to the house, to the schedulers who kept us informed when there was a delay and reschedule due to weather, to the installers. Everyone was kind, knowledgeable, and professional. I highly recommend them to anyone who is contemplating a home improvement or repair.

They get zero stars from Me! I met with a sales rep back in August, he promised me bells and whistles stated that the work would take 4 to 6 weeks. It is now November 19th and the work has still not been completed. They were supposed to install a new entry door, a new garage door and install new siding and nothing! We call and send emails and NO one responds! Shary from the New Rochelle office is very irresponsible and does not return calls or emails. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere. I almost forgot to mention that I called my credit card company to dispute the charges and sears went ahead and charged my credit card again without my authorization.

The Sears (Transform) home improvement (HVAC) has left me and my wife very satisfied with the completion of the project. Sears Home Improvement was not the only contractor that we received quotes for the job nor were they the least expensive. They were, however, the most thorough in measuring our homes HVAC needs and the most willing to sit down with us and walk us through what they offered including various standard, better, and best options in terms of equipment. They offered us two separate brands for the HVAC they serviced with Kenmore being their standard and elite models with Carrier being their upper end product. We ended up going with the Carrier unit due to various factors. Our contract with Sears also included a five year maintenance plan which was very enticing.The primary reason for why we are very satisfied (4) instead of extremely satisfied (5) was the time frame for the work to take place. While the contract with Sears indicated that they would be able to install the system (Furnace, Condenser, Coil) in 1-2 weeks, it took 20 days for them to do so. During this time, my home did not have air conditioning in the middle of Summer. The first delay was due to difficulties securing the Furnace for my home. The second was out of their hands, and due to issues with the team that was to install the units.The team that ultimately installed the unit on Sears behalf was excellent. They did a great job, installed everything in one day, answered all the questions that I could come up with, and left the site in better shape than when they found it. Ultimately, while Sears will likely be one of the more expensive options available to a home owner when compared to other contractors, you do get what you pay for. The warranty that Sears provides for their work was head and shoulders better than what any other contractor offered. The Sears technician that walked through our home was thorough in measuring our home and making sure that the system that we purchased was properly sized. I would recommended Sears Home Improvement to family members and friends in the future.

DONT DO IT !!!!! There was a problem with each and every part of the door replacement. NO RETURN CALLS, CONSTANT VOICEMAIL, VENDOR KEPT RESCHEDULING, VENDOR TOOK MY OWED PAYMENT AS A TIP, WRONG HARDWARE, DAMAGED STONE AROUND DOOR FRAME and told me after the fact that I have to fix it !!! STARTED BILLING ME ON MY SEARS CHARGE MONTHS BEFORE THE WORK WAS STARTED !!!! This is NOT the SEARS of yester years.

Sears is such a rip-off, if I could give them no stars I would. Their home project team for NY is a disgrace. Dont expect any responses from anyone, they dont even let you know about appointment times and dates, shameful. If you need to contact corporate, GOOD LUCK! You will be passed along to about 5 different departments before you make one big circle with your call to complain about the lack of service. The sub-contractors for the work- TERRIBLE! Weve been over a month with no hot water and they refuse to change the plumber. POOR VALUE overall and POOR Customer Service!! Go with another company that values its customers, stay far away from Sears.

I dont even know where to start. Overall the job came out nice, but we waited 5-6 weeks for the lights that went with our vanity and cabinet. If we had known we would have this much of a delay, we could have scheduled our painter to get in before anything was replaced in our the very small bathroom. I am still trying to get warranty documents. The workers worked very hard. The job would have been done in 3 days. I would not recommend.

The customer service was absolutely HORRIBLE. The project manager that was assigned to me had no regard for me or the thousands of dollars that in was spending with this company. Yes the Windows are great but if I had to deal with the poor or lack of customer service I wouldnt go back.

Our resurfaced cabinets look beautiful, very happy with the finished product BUT......the workmen did a terrible job of keeping things clean and cleaning up afterwards. The cabinets had to be sanded down first so there was a lot of dust/sand. They did not cover any of our appliances and after they were done, we discovered a pile of dirt inside our dishwasher. Every magnet and picture on the refrigerator had to be wiped down when they were done. The stove top was dirty. The inside of the cabinets were not cleaned thoroughly. It took us so long to clean up the mess they left....AND there were some rips in our wallpaper where they had taped up plastic. Sears is refunding us $250 for that. Sears was very responsive to our complaints.

Sear is the worst Home improvement company in New York State. The materials that they charged you for are very poor quality and extremely expensive. I was charge 8000.00 to replace a toilet and cover fitting for my bath..The gentleman that did the repair went far out and beyond to work with the materials that was purchase from Service...Please do not buy into this life warranty its a big rip out..

Customer service at Sears is poor to say the least. I have been calling for the past two months regarding the repair of my front door. Finally, I was told that my door could not be repaired because too much time has past. How can this be when we paid for a lifetime warranty??Additionally, when I spoke to Jason he initially told me he was going to fix it then after speaking to his boss he changed his story. Although, my account is filled with discrepancies about the door from the very beginning.The Sears of today is not the same as the Sears my grandma loves. Today Sears is a fraud!
