After being a customer for at least 5 years I just had THE WORST EXPERIENCE of poor customer service here. Being 10 minutes late for my appointment, after calling and telling them I was going to be late, the girl at the front desk, Gianna, was extremely rude and disrespectful. She did not look at me when speaking, threw my change at me when service was over, she was accusatory, and just down right horrible. Because of her I will NEVER be returning and will never refer anyone again. So sad.On a positive, aesthetician Olivia has always been kind and wonderful. I feel sorry that she has to work in such a mean environment.

I love SkinDeep salon! I love the hair cuts, blowouts and scalp treatments (especially the signature seaweed scalp). The facials and the peels are amazing. Have been going there ever since I moved to new providence in 2018.

David gave me an absolutely wonderful massage. I’ve been a ball of knots in my neck and back and he worked them out in a pain-free way. I felt so relieved. Toward the end, he asked if there was an area I’d like him to focus on before the end, which was a nice touch. Checked in a couple times on level of intensity too. Would request David again.

It had been a few years since Ive treated myself to a full body massage. One of those things I let fall by the wayside with a busy work and family schedule. So I decided I was past due for one. I booked a 60min massage with David and was soon reminded about how much I miss this health benefit! David was fantastic. He paid special attention to all the tension from a work related injury. He worked out all the knots in my shoulders and neck with just the right amount of pressure but still kept the relaxing feel that you want when getting a massage. Highly recommend David! Thank you.

Not something I typically treat myself to, but I went in for a facial. It was my first time at Skin Deep and Selena was amazing! I felt so relaxed and pampered through the whole experience. I would highly recommend this for everyone!

EDIT: I recently wrote a review of Skin Deep Salon after an experience with one of the hair stylists. The owner contacted me directly within a matter of hours to rectify the situation, so I am writing to amend my original post. I received a haircut and style that I was displeased with, but the owner, Susan, set me up with a different stylist that very day to ensure that the cut and style could be corrected for me. The stylist, Sue, patiently listened to my concerns and made sure to address each of them as she re-cut my hair. I was very pleased with the final result, and the blowout was absolutely perfect - exactly what I was hoping for. Sue was very skilled, professional, and pleasant, and I had a very positive experience with her. I am very impressed with the owner’s quick response to the situation and desire to ensure that I had a cut that I would be happy with. I really appreciate this level of care and dedication to the clients, and I will definitely happily return for future services.***I really wanted to love this place after reading glowing reviews and based on its cleanliness and beautiful aesthetic. I am new to the area and decided to give this salon a try after receiving a complementary cut/style, manicure, and facial. I opted out of the facial, and the manicure was lovely (shout out to Margo - she gave me a beautiful manicure and was so sweet and professional), so this review is purely based on the cut/style.There were several issues that made this a very unpleasant and awkward experience for me. Firstly, the stylist cut WAY more length than I asked her to. I asked for about 2-3 inches off the longest layer, and my longest layer wound up being about 5-6 inches shorter than it was prior. Next, my stylist mentioned the state of my hair many times, telling me that my hair (which I maintain meticulously) was dry and brittle and broken and that my scalp was flaking and dehydrated. Okay - fine. I appreciate the advice, which I think was well-intentioned, and the honesty. She then proceeded to comb it so aggressively that my neck was whipped backwards several times and many pieces of hair were ripped out; this continued throughout the entire haircut and blow dry, to the point that I had to ask her to please be a bit more gentle. You would think that someone with such “brittle and broken” hair would be handled with a bit more care. Then we got to the blow dry: we were totally not on the same page at all. I asked her to please give it a bit of wave/under curl at the ends (which I assume is standard for a blowout). She replied with “Okay, so you don’t want it poker straight,” which I assumed meant that she knew what I had in mind. She then proceeded to “scrunch” my hair. When I stopped her to inquire, she became frustrated with me, so rather than create further upset, I simply told her to blow dry it as she normally would (which was, apparently “poker straight”). She then cut even MORE hair once it was dry. Finally, she finished cutting, and I asked if she would then be styling it, because I genuinely didn’t think it was finished. Her answer was that she didn’t have enough time, and that it was my fault for not telling the receptionists that I needed more time for her to style. Keep in mind that the welcome wagon letter says “Cut and STYLE.” She also told me that my nail technician had been waiting for me and that I was running late, as if I had any say in the world about how long she took to cut and style my hair. I showed up on time, if not a bit early, to my appointment. Lastly, and most importantly, the haircut was uneven - the hair on one side of my head is almost 2 inches shorter than the other side - and the blowout was not to my satisfaction.

Heidi did my updo during the summer for a family wedding which was pushed up during a Covid. I chose the salon because I felt very comfortable with the Covid procedures in place and it fit my budget requirements. It was then when I met Heidi - she understood my concerns and how upset I was with my hair color at the time done by another salon. Fast forward to my birthday week. I decided to book an appointment for hair color/cut. She did an amazing job with my hair styling and color. She made my color look subtle and complementary to my South Asian skin tone. She really hit it out of the park. I am thrilled and she made me feel beautiful. After being in the area for 8 years, I’ve finally found my hair angel!

Dalia has been my manicurist for several years- love the quality of service. I recently tried the Sugar waxing and would highly recommend it! I didn’t know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised! It leaves your skin “baby smooth” no bumps or raised hair follicles like the traditional waxing does.It’s a beautiful facility with an attentive and friendly staff attending to all your needs. 🌻

I love love love Dana. She is the one person that can get my color perfect the first time! She pays attention to detail and always makes me feel comfortable, asking if Id like some coffee or how my week was, very interested and sociable. I depend on her skills, both coloring my hair and cutting it, to make me look my best because I am always in the spotlight, in my profession. On a scale of 1-10. She is a 10+++ I wont go to anyone else but her. Thanks Dana for all you do!!!

Skin Deep is a beautiful and immaculately clean salon. The owner, Susan, is professional and accommodating. This is the ONLY salon that my college student is willing to get a haircut by any available technician.

Received the gift of a facial from my daughter...wow, what an experience. Kimberly took great care of me. and made me feel like a queen, while giving me solid advise on how to better care for my skin.After that, Libby gave me my first haircut in 6 years, other than a trim. She listened to what I wanted and the maintenance I was willing to do and gave me the perfect haircut. I look and feel better and younger than when I walked in! Thanks to both of you, as well as the amazing girl that shampooed my hair.A great place to relax and pamper yourself! I am now paying the gift forward and taking my mother for some well deserved pampering!

They are really good and very profession. I went for some highlight and they did better than the look that I showed my stylish. Also, the recommended me some hair treatments for my hair and my hair looks amazing. I received many compliments about my new look. They got really good snacks and teas. My kind of place for pampering I totally recommend this place.

Ive had my 3rd facial/peel now and have another on the books. Im working with Dori to get my skin to be back to a hydrated, all over better appearance. The day after, while at work, a client said to me, Did you get a facial or something? Your skin looks great! I was so excited, I said, I did, Im so excited that you noticed! Its working.

This was a splurge for me, but now I’m trying to figure out how to make it part of my routine. My facial with Olivia was really that good. She was knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and professional. She took the time to educate me on my skin and helped me find a great routine with the Babour products. I can still see a difference in my face weeks after my facial. It’s clear she knows what’s she’s doing and she‘s good at it. Thank you Olivia! I will definitely be back to Skin Deep.

Skin Deep Salon and Spa has been my Go To place for as long as I can remember. If youre as picky about your hair as I am, you will definitely find their people to listen closely to you and give you a cut that will make you smile. I know, it sounds like a commercial, but its true. Totally professional, great environment. They even make the coffee the way I like.

I love how Barr cut and blow dried my hair!! I also got a deep conditioning treatment. My hair looks so shiny and healthy!! Definitely recommend this salon if your looking for a nice cut, and not very expensive.

HIGHLY recommend Frankie to do nails. Every time I visit, I have her do my nails because they always look perfect! I wouldnt trust anyone else.

Jessica pre-natal massage was awesome! will definitely return for this service.one week later I also had a Gel polish manicure and pedicure but the manicure lasted not even 3 days, what a shame! it never happened before. I decided to get a gel manicure to have my nails in order at least for a couple of weeks but it lasted less then standard polish, not sure if product used was old or if the employee who applied it did not do a good job. But I will not return for such services for sure (they are quite expensive respect any other place I have been to, I expected results to be sublime)!

I have been going to Skin Deep Spa for about 3 years now. They do a great business and are always busy. I attribute their success to great service. The front staff personnel greet you with a smile. They always offer you something to drink and my hair always looks great. I see Libby for my hair and Kim for my facials. I highly recommend this spa.

I had the BEST facial last night, done by Karina. It was luxurious, relaxing and pampering and I cant wait to get another one. I have been going to Skin Deep for almost 3 years now and I love everyone that I deal with there. I also really like the Babor products they use.I highly recommend trying this salon out, you wont be disappointed.

This was my first experience at Skin Deep so I was apprehensive walking in but once inside I relaxed. My hair was colored to perfection, glazed, washed, cut and dried, just as I hoped for. I walked out feeling like a million bucks!!

My wife and I love this place, not just because its chill with engaging and professional staff, but because its close and there is easy parking (cant argue with that).I was last there about 2 weeks ago, for deep tissue massage on a back that was teetering on the verge of going into spasm. Amanda did an amazing job of stabilizing the offending muscle (really deep) and gave me great advice on how to get right in there to extend the therapy at home and really chase it away.:)

My husband booked a spa package for me as a birthday present. We are new to the area and I hadnt heard of Skin Deep, but checked out the website prior to my appointment and was impressed by the services offered. The package included an express facial, 30 minute massage and manicure (just what I needed!). The services were great and the staff that looked after me were fabulous - very personable, informative and professional.I am looking forward to my next visit!!!

I am new to the area and was looking for an eyebrow threading salon. I went twice and had 2 different people. The second time I loved the shape but both times when I checked out the consultants charged me different amounts. On the website and all of their materials eye brow threading is quoted at $15. The first time I was told it was $20 and then the second time was told $22. I told them everywhere says $15 and they honored the $15. I am devastated that I can not trust the consultants because they did a great job but a $7 difference...I understand its only $7 but that adds up very quickly and I felt like they were running a scam.

Have been there for facials and massages. Helga is everything you would want in a masseuse--strong, attuned and adept in hitting all the right problem areas. Susan did a fantastic job and my skin never felt so good.

My experiences at Skin Deep Salon have been great! It is a very soothing atmosphere, the staff is very attentive and my nails look beautiful.

I went in for eyebrow tinting - left with lopsided color tinting. I literally had to go home and scrub it off. I had it done at a different place in a different state before and had a great experience. The technician there carefully shaped the brow to fit the structure of my face - the result was awesome. I dont have a lot of hair, so the tint made me look like I had a fuller and well shaped brow. I had asked the tech here if she was shaping it, as I could tell there was no precision in her application. She said yes - when I saw the result, it was messy and one brow was thicker than the other. I would not recommend this place for eyebrow tinting.

My husband and I had a couples massage. The entire staff was very ptofessional and courteous. Definitely a great experience and will go back in the future!

I have been going to Skin Deep for years. I started coming here for facials 6 years ago and now come here for my highlights, haircuts, and nails. The pedicures are amazing and last a full hour! I highly recommend Skin Deep when you need to take a break from your stressful day!
