My wife and I live in Ohio and have a vacation home in New Port Richey, Florida. We are only able to go down there for a couple of weeks three or so times a year as we are both still working. The original wood laminate flooring at our Florida home has needed replacing for a long time. Time restraints were difficult and we didnt have much luck finding anyone interested in helping us. We were down there recently and through some research I found American Wood Flooring. I called their New Port Richey office, talked to Pat Dunning and explained our situation. He offered to come over that day to see what he could do to help us. My wife and are neophytes when it comes to flooring and Pat was a wealth of information. Long story short, we went with a Bruce engineered hardwood product which seemed the best choice based on our home being on a slab and the issues of moisture and termites in Florida. Not inexpensive but a great value in our mind. The price was all inclusive which included moving our furniture as needed and putting everything back when the project was done. That was super important to us as the work was being done after we were back home in Ohio. They provided us progress pictures via text messaging along the way which gave us warm fuzzies. The job is done now, we couldnt be happier and cant wait to see our new floor from American Wood Flooring when we are back down in June. Thank you Pat and the rest of the team for a job well done!

We met with Andy D. in the Wesley Chapel store, he was very knowledgeable on the different types of flooring. We appreciated that he took ample time to explain the differences, benefits and helped us choose which type of flooring would work best for our needs in our new home. After we chose a couple samples that we felt would be good choices, Andy came out to our home to measure and even brought the samples so we could see them within the space. The two gentlemen who installed the floors, Sean and Andy (Different Andy), were great! They are truly hard workers and you can tell that they love what they do. We could not be happier with our floors! Not only do they look great but they feel great when we walk on them as well! Whenever we have people in our home, they always complement us on our floors. Although it was a big investment financially, it was well worth the spend! To top it off, Andy D. called to check in on us throughout the installation process which was something that we did not expect but truly appreciated! We recommend American Wood Flooring to all of our friends!

My daughter had breast cancer in 2012, I went to American wood flooring because the owner Patt Dunn told me that I can get 4 bedrooms of flooring American made with no formaldehyde, like in the name. He lied and provided floors from China with formaldehyde, I did not notice until I was selling my home, and the buyers were specifically looking for American made with no formaldehyde. They had seen on the box for the floors that indeed had the deadly chemical and I nearly lost my sale. I went back to discuss this with him and his words were Everyone gets cancer. Do not use this company if you value your health and dont want to be lied to and disrespecged . Tell your friends and family

We recently had carpeting installed. Ordering was easy and Pat was knowledgeable about what we needed. our order came in quickly. Installers were courteous and skilled. Looks great!

Excellent customer service. Workers showed up on time and did a fantastic job. Comparison shopped and this was the best deal.

BUYER BEWARE!THEY HAVE A D- RATING WITH THE BETTER BUSSINESS BUREAU!Read my complaint on there,its quite lengthy,but well worth the read.I had laminate flooring installed over a year ago. Still not right. Floor not leveled properly before install,lots of air pockets, soft spots and popping up.Gave me the runaround for a year,then got mad because I finally reported them to BBBPLEASE READ BBB COMPLAINTS AGAINST THEM. THEY ARE ALL VERY SIMILAR.POOR WORKMANSHIP,POOR FOLLOW-UP. THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK.
