Spent every bit of a half hour, if not more, checking, treating, explaining & scheduling a follow up visit for the next Saturday. Well, Low & Behold after the first 24 hours there was not a Movement or any sign of an existing problem / issue!!!! Amazing, could not be Happier with the results / customer care!!They even showed up for the follow up visit to be sure all was good. thankyou Darrell Boyd 1st visit & Paul Boyd for the follow up!!!!

Ive been using Nelsons for lawn care for about six months now. When they first started, my lawn was mangy -- lots of brown patches, weeds, just in really rough shape. It now looks amazing. Kevin does a great job, always leaving me notes about how to care for it between visits. The office staff is pleasant and efficient. I highly recommend them!

Called and spoke to a very rude woman who tried to force me to pay 250 dollars for an inspection that my lender doesnt require. Told me I have to get it. Not true, confirmed with my lender. So when I asked for the free estimate they offer, she responded with a snarky laugh and said So youre going to buy a house all chewed up with termites? We do the estinates in HOPES to find termites to make money. I responded with No, but the seller might. She tells me the guy that can do it is right here and Ill call you back in a few minutes...called 4 hours later. Maybe find someone new to answer the phone, I would NEVER use ANY of your services after talking to her. Went to Crenshaw, they were very nice, helpful and scheduled right then for the next day. And I will likely use them in the future. Ya gotta think about the future of your business!

A couple of years ago I had to replace my lawn. I contacted Nelsons Pest Control and Lawn care for some help. They evaluated my yard and assured me that they would have it looking perfect within the year. They lived up to their word! I have one of the most beautiful if not the best looking and healthy yard in the neighborhood. Each month they apply a treatment that works. If I have questions they do not hesitate to come out to my residence and work with me. However, very seldom do I have any problems as they consistently take care of my lawn. They are highly recommended if you want a splendid looking yard.

I was a customer for probably for over 20 years. I was selling my house and thought is was sold in April so I cancelled the service. The deal fell through. I called and asked if they could come a treat my home for a final time. Lisa needed to check with her manager to see if they would have to charge me the new company Bakers price. She came back to the phone stating a one time spray would be 200+$ vs the monthly charge of 76$. I am very disappointed in how this company treated a 20+ year customer. I feel loyalty should go both ways. Yes many who read this may say I shouldnt have cancelled until I was at the closing table - but I challenge you to think about 20 years of customer loyalty.

Excellent. This was a quarterly service and the technician was competent, extremely courteous and a great pleasure to talk with. He explained what he was doing, took his shoes off(without me asking) and knew the pests I was talking about. AJ has serviced our house other times and he is the main reason I referred Nelson to my sister who just moved to Hudson!!!!

We recently moved to our home and I always noticed ants outside the house. I sprayed and they would be gone, but resurface elsewhere. I missed seeing them one time and it was too late. They had made their way up the front of the house and through the eaves and were coming down everywhere in the bathroom. After 2 days of vacuuming ants and spraying inside the house I called Nelsons. They were able to come out within a few hours. The technician explained what he was going to do and went about his work. It took care of the problem and we havent see 1 ant anywhere. David is a great guy. He came out to treat a possible yellowjacket nest in my shrubs and determined it wasnt a nest at all, but sooty mold on the plants attracting the yellowjackets to the plants from elsewhere. He explained what was causing it and how to treat it and didnt charge me for the visit. Its hard to find honest, knowledgeable vendors these days who arent simply out to make a sale or push you to sign up for a contract, but David is one of the good guys. Ill call this company again if I ever need treatment for an insect problem.

In todays business environment, competence is sorely lacking. This is NOT the case at Nelsons Pest Control. I had some rodent issues arise and my first meeting was with the owner of the company. After a very thorough assessment of the problems and potential problems, two very competent and polite specialists arrived and addressed every problem the next day. Even though they had not been to the property before, they were briefed so well as to what they needed to do, it was if they had been there the day before with the owner. In all the follow-up visits, every specialist was equally aware of what needed to be done, were cordial and polite and conducted themselves professionally. In addition, the office staff also know the smallest details of each job/service visit that they schedule and coordinate. Nelsons Pest Control is a well run company with an owner directly involved and getting his hands dirty along with the rest of his staff. It was a refreshing experience, and well worth what I paid for every service they provided.

On one occasion our grass was dying so we called Dave Nelson who came to our house to analyze the problem. He couldn’t determine what was causing the dying so he came back the next day and had two of his associates with him (one a horticulturist and the other an expert on fertilizers). Between the three of them, the problem was solved and the grass grew back. I must admit, this is probably the best pest control and lawn care I have had and I had lots of them. My yard was needing replaced, so I thought. There was a neighbor in rosewood who has a beautiful lawn he told me who did it,so I thought I had nothing to lose and had my yard treated. I would not even lock myself in to a monthly service, it was on a month to month basis. I started seeing results in 2 wks. Now let me tell you some of the perks. 1. no more ants along the sidewalk because they take care of this where others charge extra. 2. Comes to my door to make sure I have no questions,and to let my dog out before he starts. 3. Waits to do lawn treatment if grass has not been cut yet, in which he returns later so its not a waisted treatment. We have had many lawn companys that water down the treatment after you are with them a while. I can tell you this, they have turned my yard completely around. I am a true believer that there are quality companys out there and this is by far one of them. It took me 12 years to find one but I did. Im sure there is others but they are far and few between. I am a true believer in the Nelson family.

I moved into a property almost a year ago. Unfortunately it was infested with german roaches...yuck! I contacted my landlord who in turn contacted Nelsons. Holly is amazing to work with. She actually listens to what you have to say!I had AJ come out weekly for six weeks. He worked his butt off, looking and treating every where. We came to find out they had infested my dining room set and he even treated that. Moved my refrigerator so he could get behind there. They are the absolute best!!!

The entire office staff and field technicians are on the ball and through the use of email and SMS texting I was able to follow the project without having to be onsite.. They performed the work within a few days of my approval of the contract and completed it according to schedule.You cant ask for more.

Ive been using Nelsons for a couple of years now. I called them because my back yard has a ton of fire ants. I was told that my service does not cover fire ants or my back yard which is bahia grass. I understand that weed control cant be covered on bahia, but you dont cover pests or fire ants? Especially in Florida, really??? I had never been told before that my back yard would not be done. I have children, one of which is allergic to fire ants. This is completely unacceptable to me. I just dont trust companies that want to up charge for every little thing. There is no reason a Florida lawn service should not be covering fire ants.

David is knowledgeable and efficient. I wish all of the people we hired were as effective as he is.

When my wife and I moved into our house, we encountered a roach problem. We tried to kill them ourselves but we were no match. We called Nelsons up and they took care of the problem. We havent had any problems since. Well worth the money!

Never worked with Nelsons but saw the review about the crawl space thing and I used to deal with Wood Destroying Insect Reports all the time. The national chains; Orkin, Terminix, etc, are notorious for finding termites. What evidence, besides a $2,000 invoice was given for an active infestation? Their opinion? Normally thats the case. Not saying you dont have termites or that Nelsons did a good job. However, the evidence is not enough to make a determination and I dont believe any decisions should be made based on the review alone.

I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent service received from both technicians today, home and lawn, in addressing our pest control concerns and needs.

Nelsons is like a family company. Cheaped than the national companies and family service. If you spot a live bug, just call and they come back. I think so because I dont ever see live bugs. if they miss a patch of weeds, call and they will reappy at no charge. The bestest!!!!

A rat got into our house. We tried unsuccessfully to trap it ourselves. It was chewing on everything and leaving droppings everywhere. On New Years Eve we found more dropppings and a chewed golf ball. New Years Day, I found an artificial apple that had been chewed up. I started e-mailing and calling exterminators on New Years Day morning. I must have sounded desperarate-I was-because Mr. Nelson called me back on New Years Day morning about an hour after I had called/e-mailed him. He was out for breakfast with his family at the time. We made an appointment for the next day-January 2. He came out that day, did a thorough inspection of our house, roof and attic and said he felt that the rat had entered through an open door. I told him I had heard chewing or scratching under the couch earlier. He flipped the couch and caught the rat in a towel himself. He made a few suggestions that he said would reduce the chance that we might have a problem in the future and said that they were simple enough that I could complete them myself.He charged us excactly what he estimated.Mr. Nelson interrupted his time with his family on New Years Day to start the ball rolling to take care of someone elses problem. Then he personally came out and resolved our problem. That is a level of service you just do not find too often.

Called Nelsons Pest Control for someone to come out and check our home for Termites and Insects.Mr David Nelson, the Owner came out and did a very through inspection, making recommendations where some wood and stucco was buried in the ground and a potential route for termit infestation.Mr Nelsons inspection did not reveal termites, we do have a black ant infestation and our yard is a mess. For years, I have taken care of our own Pest Control.Based on the very Professional Inspection and Information, We have selected Nelson Pest Control to take care of our Insect, yard and Plant treatment needs.That was yesterday, April 8th., Mr Nelsons very nice positive attitude office Staff called and made appointments for today April 9th. A. J. came promptly at the appointed time, explained his treatment and spent time treating and explaining the treatment, explaining the expected length of time for treatment to start making an impact. A very nice pleasant and professional well trained young man. Jerry, also came a few minutes later for the lawn treatment, another well trained and professional young man who explained the lawn treatment, my need to water after his treatment, etc. Both of these Young Men told us if we had any concerns to call the office for follow up treatments. They represented Nelson Pest Control in a very positive manner and attitude, everything a Customer could expect from a Professional Service Company.I might also add that Mr David Nelson, gave me some excellent tips on how to control Bermuda Grass infested in St Augustine.Too early for us to report long term results. Tried Nelson pest control. Came out and did the motions but they never fixed the issue. My house is a very clean house with the normal bug problem. Its as if they just spray water. Do not use this company

Was told after inspection that we had a rat problem. Point of entry was unable to be found. Still charged $91.68 for brief visit.
