This is a joke of a rental company. They do not service their cars. They just hit the reset buttons in the cars so it looks like they did. Twice I’ve gotten cars with problems, or they needed service. The CarPlay never works for some reason. They need to have all cars professionally serviced before given to a customer but that would be too easy for them and that really do t like helping customers. Highly recommended driving to Akron for hertz rentals before coming here.

Let me start off by saying. I used to work at a rental company before and know the ins and out, the do’s & don’t.Now I have reviewed many comments from this place in particular as it’s the closest one to where I live. I have read that they have made reservations online and that when upon arriving that there was no cars available as the person on the phone has stated. I have also done the same thing as I just stated others have done and also encountered that very scenario. I think for customers to understand that companies like Enterprises don’t make their money off of cars just sitting in the lot. Except maybe understand that when a customer signs a document or makes a reservation from such date to such date. That the company expects that car to be available to the next customer at that given time and date.Now we know there are many things in life that aren’t certain. Even though you sign a contract for the use of a vehicle. You can’t predict the weather, you can’t predict an accident whether it be your fault or not, you can’t predict you might be late. WAIT WAIT WAIT……I’m sorry you can predict when your gonna be late and just like how you made a phone call to make a reservation or online reservation. You can call to inform them that you will be late because of such circumstances. Now there is only a few circumstances that can be deemed worthy of lateness with full understanding that they might just work with you on. Now we know most people try to stretch or bend the rules to make it fit their need or wants because they don’t want to spend for the extra day or time that they didn’t account for. Then you got those who just don’t care about rules.Here’s something to think about. What if there was just no more rental companies. How would you get around? Don’t worry I’ll wait. Oh and if you say family members. Well then you wouldn’t be the one complaining about the rental companies now would you.There is a contract with terms that must be met. If you signed the paperwork without reading it. That’s on you as a customer. They don’t necessarily have to read it to you word for word because you have a copy yourself. They will skim through to get you in and out quickly. Because now a days no one has patience but get mad when they are paying for something that they didn’t take the time to read and understand fully what needs to happen. So people read and ask questions.Not all companies and people who work for that company is trying to defraud you or create a bad taste in your mouth for you to not return as a customer. I can GUARANTEE you all that they wish they could never have a problem with their employees or customers. Because your life would be great and so will theirs be.Here’s the thing . There will always be some:1. Company that will do dirty work2. An employee who will do dirty work3. Customers who will do dirty workIn this case there’s only 3 ways this goes but no matter which combination you put this in. If there is just 1 dirty part in play. It’s gonna be a negative to either side. Now remember they can refuse to do business with whomever they feel like. Trust me when I say they would rather you come back and rent from them. Then you be declined to rent from them. Remember customers are not always right. YES I SAID IT. CUSTOMERS ARE NOT ALWAYS RIGHT.Now for my review from the times I rented with Enterprise.I called to make reservations. Easy and breezy.I was told they would have this when I arrive. I arrived but they didn’t have that particular style of car due to such CIRCUMSTANCES. The person didn’t sweat it. He said just “give me a moment. There’s a few people that are or should have been in already to return such vehicle but if they aren’t in the next x amount of minutes or time you agreed on. Then we will move forward with taking care of you”. wether it be upgraded at no extra cost or down graded which means save more money. I never take the time to write reviews. Absolutely the worst enterprise we’ve ever dealt with.We will never return to this company for rental services again. If this business is your only option, be prepared to wait an outrageous amount of time, and receive careless & customer service.Whoever handles cleaning and turning over vehicle rentals at this location should be reevaluated. Very disappointed.

Nobody including management could care less to resolve this issue or even respond Never EVER rent from here again. Never in my life have I dealt with such unprofessional management screaming and telling me to bring the car back today and wont take a payment over the phone because I needed longer that I expected. Ive dealt with other enterprise locations in the past and often and always had great customer service and they alway would work with me and extend my rental as long as they had a deposit which they did this time as well. When we rent cars sometimes we need them for longer than we anticipate. This manager said absolutely nothing I can say or do bring car back immediately even with a payment in full of whats owed she would not even listen. I was in tears. She did not care what so ever.

Found an empty cigarette pack with marijuana in it. Could of been bad for me if got pulled over. They did offer me a free week but when I went to get the week offered manager gave me hard time and did not get the free rental.

Never will I ever go back there. We rented a truck did the inspection didn’t notice the dent on the back bumper till we got home. Even then we didn’t worry about it because the guy there said if it’s smaller then a golf ball then don’t worry about it. So I thought they already seen it. I guess not because when we returned it they placed a clam on out insurance now we have to pay to get it fixed even though we didn’t do it. So make sure you look at ever inch on your next vehicle, because you might be nailed for it. Worst place ever.

We rented a car to drive to Florida from Ohio. The car was dependable and comfortable for such a long drive. Social distancing was practiced during pick up and drop off. They even sanitized the car right before they gave it to me. I have used Enterprise several times and have never had a bad experience. I would highly recommend them.

They did not have what I needed. Was supposed to have a truck but when I got there they said they only had cars available. Even though a truck was sitting there. When I returned the car the same truck was in the same parking spot. They were supposed to call me to switch to a truck but no one ever called. I returned the car early had to get something somewhere else.

This place is horrible... they totally screwed us over with getting our deposit back. They told us we would receive it, they put it back and then took it again. We have full proof on a bank statement yet no one wants to make it right. I will never recommend them to anyone. Poor customer service in my opinion. I will not be a returning customer that’s for sure and I will make sure I tell anyone who comes my way. Hopefully this can save the next person from getting ripped off.

The car we rented had a couple minor problems but the representative made an adjustment to the rental fair that was more than fair. The representatives in other Enterprise locations were very helpful as well in switching to a better vehicle. Overall the people we worked with were excellent and the service was excellent.

I recently rented what was supposed to be a smaller car, the morning i was to pick it up they called and said they had no cars, we would have to take a truck or wait a day for a car. Being that i had already dropped my car off at the shop for repairs, i really had no choice but to take it. there was a huge crack in the windshield, a 2019 Ford F-150 4x4 quad cab, stains on the passenger seat and also on the back seats. i reserved a car weeks before, and they didnt have one in!!! Will definitely think twice before renting from them again!!!

Staff at the New Phildelphia location was very friendly and helpful. I extended my rental an extra day and there was no problem in doing so with the associates being eager to help. I had questions during my trip in which I called in route to my destination. Although they could not immediately answer my questions regarding the features of the vehicle I had rented, on my return phone call, the staff were able to give me a more detailed explanation.

Nice vehicle, however when we got to enterprise the car was dirty inside with pet hair and spots on the seats. We had to wait for them to clean it at our request. Also, the tires were in terrible shape considering we were driving from Ohio to Florida. Not much tread.

We rent a couple times a year. This was the first time renting from the New Philadelphia Ohio location. Our agent Bruce was very helpful. We experienced a slight issue with our rental. Nothing that caused a serious problem but upon returning he made sure we were compensated and satisfied with our experience . We will definitely use this brance again.

I had no intention of posting a comment but Enterprise keeps sending me requests so here it goes....I was called 45 minutes before my time to pick up my reservation to be informed there was no car there for me but they would have something in about an hour. After not receiving a call in an hour I called them but was told that there should be a car for me between 2-3 PM which means my reservation is now a minimum of 2-3 hours late. I was also told they were going to give us a smaller vehicle than I made the reservation TO HOLD for my family. We had a wedding in Florida and I needed to leave our home by 5PM to get half way and stay at the hotel I reserved.At 2:30 I called again because, once again I did not receive a courtesy call letting me know what was happening. I was told I could pick up a vehicle in 30 minutes and because of the inconvenience I would receive an upgrade in vehicle and he would hold that vehicle no matter what. Lies...more and more lies. When I arrived at 3PM I found the counter person giving the vehicle he PROMISED to me to a WALK IN! To make it even better, there was still nothing for me and now I am too late to leave Ohio when I needed to leave.Finally I got a vehicle...one that smelled terribly of smoke and one that my wife and I had to clean before we could let out children ride in because it was not cleaned on the inside. Pathetic. One last thing on the lovely process of getting the car, they had 1 person working who was telling every customer that he had never worked this location before and acting like nothing was his fault. Im rather certain that all of these branches are set up the same so employees can move from location to location with no guidance but....On returning the vehicle I noticed I had to return the vehicle by noon when they could not honor their reservation that was set for noon. I was tempted to show up at 6 to show them what it is like but I could not do that. When I told the manager that I planned to reach out to customer service I was told they didnt want that and she could give me $150 off my next rental. What?! Why would I ever go back? She finally offered $150 off this rental and since that paid for the hotel I did not get to stay at, halfway through a 15 hour drive (with a 6 year old and 10 month old) I said that was fine.Pretty sure I will not be going back to Enterprise again and the discount the manager offered ended up being $131 instead of the promise of $150.Clearly honesty is not a priority of Enterprise.

When I returned the vehicle they told me I would get my deposit of $150 back in my account in a day or 2. I checked the bank to find out they did indeed give it back but then took it straight back out! How can they do that?! I went into the new philadelphia office to make them aware of their mistake. Talked personally to the manager, showing her my bank statement proving what they did. She was rude! Took my info and told me their accountant would get ahold of me in a couple days. I never heard from them! Since I have called several time leaving messages with NO RETURN CALL! even called corporate NO RETURN CALL EITHER! Its been almost 2 months now. This is ridiculous! I will never return!

My dad rents a car weeks in advance and the lady schedules the pick up on a Saturday when theyre closed. So when he calls to find out what to do next they say theres no record of the car reservation. Turns out they reserved the car for the wrong day so when my dad doesnt pick the car up on their screw up they cancel the reservation. So then we have to drive to Akron canton airport 45 minutes away to get the car we need. We get there the tags are expired on the vehicle we reserved. Absolute nightmare. Never renting from this place again.

I have rented vehicles before and this was by far the easiest. No hoops to jump through. I havent rented a vehicle where there was not some kind of issue until this passed week through New Philadelphia Ohio. The only thing i will say is when we did the walk around with the car before i left the lot the gentleman who was helping me asked if i would like the sxm radio turned on due to the distance i was driving and he did not inform me that there was a charge for it. So it was kind of a shock when i got to the counter to return the car that i was being charged almost $50 for the radio.... which only had 1 station that worked.... but the lady i dealt with on the return took care of it for me and apologized for the miscommunication. Other then that i would say everything went very well and will definitely use them in the future.

BOTH TIMES she hung up on me at the end of our conversation before I was even finished talking. UPDATE: Mar 21 2016:Im going to give it another whirl today!(Old review below)I dont normally make negative comments or reviews publicly, however, Im hopping perturbed at Enterprise Rent-A-Car of New Philadelphia, Ohio today!So, I telephone this morning to ask if they have any weekend specials and to my pleasant surprise, the answer was yes. I was then told they had an economy car for only $32.89 with 300 FREE miles through Monday morning, and only .20 cents a mile over 300. SUCH A DEAL, so I make reservations to pick up the car at noon and they already had me in their system!My wife Rose Ebner Bond Rinehart and I are full of excitement since our new used car broke down a few days ago and we got invited to a fundraiser.Ive also rented cars from this location on several occasions and never had experienced anything but 5 star service! However, today, Im taking the time to explain my 1 star review!Upon, arriving at the rental facility, I was promptly told they didnt have any cars available and Id have to wait until one should return! So now, Im starting to think Ive been taken advantage of, having hired one of my son Jeremiahs friends with an offer of lunch, gas, & a little something for his time.Adding salt to the wound, when I attempted to reserve the next car that should qualify for the weekend special, I was told, my PayPal card didnt qualify as a Major credit card and Id also need to bring a utility bill or something to match my drivers license address. Interestingly, Im already in their system from previous rentals which I used the same PayPal card. I was told their corporate policy had changed in the past year to only allow Major credit cards like AMEX, Discover, Visa & MasterCard issued only from a major bank!This all could have been avoided if the reservations were actually made from the franchise location instead of a call center and the credit card definition policies were explained in advance!In any regard, being a geek, I also find it outrageous that their call center rental records dont match that of the franchises!So much for Weekend Specials... Its likely that the next time, Ill be calling Avis, Budget or Hertz Rental cars in Canton, Ohio for my next car rental!
