Services was great for a chance now that they are accepting keys for the meter readers to get access to property, yet some meter readers are not reading the residence meters and falsifying that property have dogs in the yard.
I moved into a house February of 2020 and a month later was presented with a balance of over $4000 (added to my account a year and a half later). When disputing charges, the customer service rep said that they had not check my meter IN A YEAR AND A HALF, and that my bills were estimated charges. My bill was around $50 each month, and then in September 2020 it went from $78 to $1,100. NO ONE CAN EXPLAIN THE CHARGES!!!
I’m starting to think that these 5 ⭐️ ratings are done by the employees. They have to be. I have had nothing but negative experiences with sewerage and water board. I wish everyday that there was another water company in the city.
They read my meter exactly twice in 14 months since I bought my house last year. In that time, a leak was running undetected under my driveway and was only discovered when the second meter reading yielded a $19,000 bill. A crew ran a sloppy trench in the sidewalk to see if it was on their turf. (It was not and I had to hire my own crew to find and fix the leak on my property.) And now, I still have to figure out what to do with this crazy bill, which is now up to $21,000.Knowing how well SWBNO operates, my husband and I went to the office to seek help. He was ready to launch full anger mode, but he didnt need to. A nice lady helped calm our fears about having an unaffordable bill or a water shutoff. We were served quickly and with a smile. We still dont know how this will be resolved, but the people were very helpful and we are grateful.*feel free to donate to my water go fund me! JK
Most pathetic agency and totally irresponsible. Tired of dealing with them.
They waited two years to shut off the water at an apartment that I had that I was no longer at. I had gone downtown to have it shut off during a bout of flooding that was happening back in 2017 when I was moving and they called me two years later stating that I had an outstanding balance [I wasn’t paying water at the place I had been at]. I came down there assuming it wouldn’t be more than $600 and they tried to bill me over $4k for their mistake. Absolutely insane and completely gross mismanagement, but at this point, no one expects anything less from the infamous S&WB. Just watch your back and make sure you keep a paper trail of everything because they will delete visits that you had made from their records to cover themselves. I wish I had when I was 24.
Excellent service, especially in the Payroll department. Ms. Johnson and Ms. Butler are two of many employees who make sure your business is handled professionally and accurately.
We live on the top floor, Jackson Square. Service people and readers often cannot access our building (the Pontalba) to read the meters. So, instead they send us an estimated bill, which THEY claim is based on our normal usage. We are seniors with normal habits. Showers, face washing, etc...Occasionally do laundry in our apt.s small machine, and we never use the dishwasher. This month we got a bill DOUBLED what it usually is. Same usage. But lower water pressure, (a trickle, after the recent storm.?) Less water. Twice the bill....Hey...In Huey Longs day this was called Louisiana book-keeping?
This place is fast when paying your water bill, in and out no lines at all.
The worst customer service I have experienced since moving to New Orleans! Every time I’ve called I’ve gotten different information about protocol that refutes or contradicts what I was told previously.
I was a little on guard after reading all of the reviews. When I walked in the door, my first thought was that the negative reviews held up--its not the most welcoming place Ive ever been to. However, I went there with a major problem and a positive attitude and in the end everyone there turned out to be really nice and extremely helpful. As can be expected, everyone is bustling around in order to move people along, but it was overall a very nice experience and I was able to get everything accomplished that I went to accomplish in one visit. It was my first time ever being in the predicament I was in and the women working with me understood my situation and held my hand, so to speak, so that I could have running water back in my home.
Latasha Martin was very.polite courteous and knowledgeable. To God be the Glory..
This place is the absolute worst. I have been owed a refund for 8 months and they refuse to pay it back. A supervisor has yet to respond to me. Finally a rep told me they don’t issue refund checks. They just keep overpayments even if your account is closed! What?!?! Unfortunately this company is a monopoly so they can charge what they like and call it “estimated bills” and they can keep overpayments. Their customer service is the absolute worst. This entire office needs to be shut down and controlled by the state perhaps bc the city is doing a disservice to the citizens of N.O. not regulating this office. Crooks!
Worst. Company. Ever. When will they go away?
Upon entry, everyone (workers) did not seem to care or possess any customer service skills, but fortunately after about an hour wait there were a few public servants who were both caring and helpful.
I have never experienced customer service this bad before lol!
THE WORST. They will sometimes shut off your water for 8+ hours on a Saturday (when their customer service lines are closed, so you can’t call and complain). They routinely do this for “repairs.” We also aren’t ever notified that the water will be shut off, so it’s quite an unpleasant surprise. Why they think it’s okay for a household to not have running water and flushable toilets all day is a mystery....or, perhaps, they simply do not care! If you can go about your day without bathing, brushing your teeth, using the toilet, washing your hands (btw, we’re still quarantined due to COVID...what a bunch of geniuses!), and drinking water, then you’re amazing. I guess water is considered a privilege, not a necessity, in the great city of New Orleans.
I went to the sewerage and water Board expecting a really bad experience, but I was pleasantly we surprised. Tequwa (I may be misspelling her name -sorry) helped me with everything. She was so wonderful, ironed out all my concerns and was very friendly and funny. It’s not everyday you can say a visit to S&WB is the highlight of your day!
In order to start a new service you have to accept the debt of the person previously at the property. I started my service with the sewage and water board in 500 dollars of debt, I was overcharged 249 dollars during one bill and my water is off despite me paying the normal monthly rate each month and without warning. I dont know how to explain to these people that people making 8 dollars an hour cant afford their ridiculous price gouging and that it is incredibly unfair that this front has a monopoly on the water service in the city. Same with entergy.
Today happens to be the 4th time in the last month and a half that our water has been out unexpectedly. We have never been notified of a shutoff, whether scheduled or not, and this is becoming a major issue. If there is maintenance being done to the pipes, we deserve to be notified. This is a service that we pay for and we have the right to know when the service will be unavailable.
What a corrupt and incompetent organization. At this point, its beyond fixing.
This office personifies the not my problem, not gonna do anything about it type of customer service that would never be allowed to continue existing in any other part of the country. Nothing works, and no one cares.
Horrible, Bureaucratic RelicEverything about customer service in this organization is broken. Too many issues to list. This is just a case study how inefficient a complacent organization with no competition or incentive to improve can become. I really wish that government public service organizations could function well, but they cant.
For almost a year now, Ive been fighting off and on with the company over outrageously high billing issues. I live in a 750 sq. ft 1 bed/1 bath apartment with no dishwasher, and theyre saying that the bills of ranging from $200 to over $400 for one single month are accurate and my responsibility to pay. When I call, half the time they hang up in my face. I will say that on one rare occasion, Danielle was helpful, thank you Danielle. But other than that, Ive been given the run around and told about hearings with no specific date provided, then told later that the investigation into my account has been closed despite them not notifying me of this at all, and Im now on my second hearing request this year. Who knows if Ill ever get one? I have no idea how to combat this now and Im drowning in the stress this has caused me this year. If anyone has advice about said hearing, PLEASE dont hesitate to reach out. Im at a loss.
If I could leave 0 stars I would. People who work there seem miserable and have have terrible customer service.
The Sewerage & Waterboard Billing office employee have they self together they are very helpful . As soon as you walk in you are greeted at the door with a smile 😃😊🙂 and the first question is can I help you very professional . If you are paying a bill you are in and out A+ 💯💥💫
They charge you $58 per month even if you don’t use any water or put out any trash. They don’t bother to check meters they just slap $70, $80, $90 or more on your bill, even if it’s just you living alone in your apartment. Have questions? You usually wait forever on the phone and depending on who you talk to you get different answers. I got so feed up I actually went to the office and used my phone to record the conversation so I could at least have a record of what they told me, I ended up getting kick out as they don’t allow that even though it’s within one’s legal rights. It’s well known that they are highly corrupt, this is just more proof.
I have never hated a company so much. They WILL overcharge you hundreds of dollars with no explanation. They dont read the meters, it seems they instead rely on estimates based off of how they feel that day. Customer service reps are not helpful and often rude. I highly recommend that anyone in Orleans Parish take photos of their water meter as often as possibly to rack up some ammunition for the inevitable war you will wage with them. Document everything. Payments on their website, bank statements, emails too. Some real crooks run this company, so be wary.
The staff was very helpful and accommodating, an experience you do not expect at a sewage and water board office.
New Orleans deserves better! I am from New York and live here to attend school. Never have I seen a fluctuation in bill with unclear erratic charges. How does this amazing city work with this kind of incredulous incompetence.
Incompetence beyond anything one can understand. How many email requests does it take to get water service transferred?Come on!!! This organization is a complete farce.
Horrible everything from high bills to automated services everything sucks our city needs to do better pathetic
Reported a broken sewer line in October 2020. They come out to flush it, alleviating the problem. An engineer from SWB scoped the line (December 2020) and determined the joint from the house to the City is broken. A workorder was placed to repair it. Meanwhile every 2 weeks, Im having to call to get them to flush the line. Customer service does not have status of the workorder. This is a multifamily dwelling, 4 families and 2 residents are over the age of 80. Its not safe, its unsanitary.Im getting close to calling the local news and see if thats the way to get this corrected. The excuse of not having enough workers is a cop-out. The workorder is assigned to Zone 3 and thats all they can tell me when I call their emergency line.
The New Orleans Sewer and Water Board leaves a lot to be desired. Its hard to get the correct answer from front line staff. The people you speak to are very nice if you can get to actually talk to someone. They need to invest in customer services and actually run like a business.
S&WB is an example of why people hate utilities with a passion. Everything is so much harder than it needs to be.
Even tho water in NOLA is a mess, the employees are super efficient and friendly. Shout out to the women that helped me at the water board yall are awesome
I paid my bills for Sept. to Oct. Then when trying to find out the bill for Oct. to Nov. the price spiked an extra $100. The bill was due Nov 16th 2020 and now I get a second bill for the 25th saying I missed my payment for a day that hasnt come yet and it doesnt explain why. The next day they cut my water off out of nowhere without a call. I had the money but they want an extra$80 without explaining why. We just had a storm there was barely work Im broke now. They chose to do this on a day when customer service is gone and they are closed. 😤
They used to be terrible to deal with but Ive had to call them twice in the last month and theyve been nothing but personable, professional and helpful.
You may want to reconsider moving to New Orleans, trust me, you DO NOT want to deal with this company I closed an account 2.5 yrs ago and never got a bill in the mail, but apparently I had one, so they sent it to collections. They give me the collections agency number, I call them and theyve heard of SWBNO LOL what a joke!
Last bill 45 days of usage. This bill 14 days of usage.... Can I get some consistency please? When I asked the Cust Svc lady what their billing cycle is, she kept asking “What is a billing cycle?” then turned ghetto as hell on me. Said they just bill when they feel like it.
They are a company, but it’s all down hill from there.
I have stop receiving a paper bill since July of 2020. l called and ask them to send bill from October of 2020 until the present month of January 2021 please send bill And back bills this is a real issue. Thank you,.
Spoke with your rep Debra. She was very professional and courteous on my visit. I am now waiting for a hearing on the problem. The service was prompt.
I made an appointment and was made to wait in a line outside with others with appointments, after I had spent hours on the ohone the previous day and they said it would be faster in person. We werent given and information and were kept waiting far past out appointment times. I understand with COVID its important to be safe, but the problem wasnt the safety precautions, it was the lack of organization, information, and overall help. Also the staff was extremely lackluster considering how much they screwed over all of us. The fact that this place has a monopoly over water on the city is a CRIME. It should be shut down.
Sit in line for an hour while their employees sit and do nothing just to be told my lease isnt valid proof. Like thanks guys, literally TRYING to give you my money so my water isnt turned off and you cant even do that for me.
I agree with every post on here. These people, and company ( if you can call it so) are the worse. Yes, of course, they are pocketing our money. And if you can not afford your own life style get an education to do so, and not steal our hard earned funds. No one is giving citizens here a bank load of money to supply your habits, need or both. Over priced bills on a daily basis. No one uses $400 worth of water, unless you reside within a restaurant or some sort of business affiliation. A home of whether 1,2,3,4 or 5 bedroom never will range such a cost in water bill. To do so you have to have family members that constantly run water wasteful, no one does or allow within their home. They are lying, and stealing. The city mayors, state governments are no better to allow continuous of this matter. On class action law suits. Until citizens come together to do so, this will never change. Or better we can all sue individually, doesn’t take a class action suit to do so. The thing is legal up against a large establishment is more powerfully done in high numbers versus one.
I was told to go stand in the line outside. There was 1 other person in that line. After standing there for 30 minutes I decided to go in. Well, of course, they forgot about me. Once I got in the young lady that helped me got me in and out in no time.
After being overcharged for an estimate on my bill, I contacted customer service, and the woman on the phone was very rude, basically telling me I need to just wait until they have the man power to get an actual meter reading. Lack of man power shouldnt affect customers, as we have absolutely no control over that. This place is so corrupt.
If I could give it zero stars I would. The service is terrible. The bills are always incorrect and it takes month for them to investigate a bill.
You cannot pay your bill online for the first two months. So you start off in the hole. The rates are insane. It’s difficult to get caught up on your bill. And once although I paid my payment arrangement, I was still cut off and left without water for almost a week. They said I had to be home but no one ever came.Highly rude and unprofessional. Wouldn’t recommend.
Horrible!! Everyone here are scam artists. They constantly give you the run around to start or stop service. They have even kept my deposit on one occasion and refuse to return it when I couldnt move into the apartment (gas leak).
EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PLACE IS horrible!
Everybody says something different there is actually no one rule.
Sewerage and Water Board has an Outstanding Automated System Implemented; In the event One does not receive their bill.
The person at the front desk is rude amd unprofessional amd they never want to do their jobs. Really looks bad to have someone so unprofessional at the front desk
This is my 1st time writing a review about an agency. Currently we have a water leak on our street. I called Sunday to report itToday is Thursday and no one has come out. I am frustrated with the response. I feel disgusted with SWB. My street will have eroded and they will put the responsibility on the city to repair it.
By far the WORST city agency in the United States much less Louisiana. Weve had a small lake of fresh water between the sidewalk and the road for over a year, and it was caused by the S&WB doing horrible work to repair a much smaller problem. We had to put cones in it to warn people walking to stay out of it. The entire agency needs to be closed down, every single person fired and built back up from the ground up by a mayor that actually has the balls to take them on. Its vulgar.
I worked in the Main Water Plant for 36 years as a Steam Plant Engineer. I understand the challenges faced by that agency. Fact is The New Orleans Sewerage & Water Board has the best drainage system in the world. This is a well-kept secret. For years students traveled from abroad to examine and learn how this agency keeps a city with the Geographics of New Orleans dry. During Hurricane Katrina the Core of Engineers publicly stated that the drainage system would take at least 90 days to clear hurricane flood waters from New Orleans. As it turned out the water was removed in 11 days. At the annual water treatment conference, Sewerage & Water Board of New Orleans came in first place for best tasting water numerous times. Again, well kept secrets. In my opinion, Politicians kept this information low profiled as it did not work with their efforts to privatize that agency. In ending I state that I am very proud to have been apart of such an amazing team. But, since hurricane Katrina and may experienced workers have moved on, the agency has gone to hell. This saddens may of the retired individuals.
I understand that many people have had unpleasant experiences with the sewerage and water board. But I feel that people leave reviews only after receiving horrible service. Ive recently had to set up a new account and the sewerage and water board has been responsive and helpful throughout the process. Your experience may vary, and I understand. But I think its fair to share another perspective.
1 star because 0 is not an option. 100% of this organization is disorganized & corrupt.
Tried to charge me for their broken water meter
I own a shotgun double and had tenants for the last three years and the bill was oddly always the same. They moved out 4 months ago so less water is being used and my bill has gone up. There is also a leak at the meter on the city side and my water pressure has been lower than ever but my bill continues to climb. Something is wrong and they wont do anything about it. The meter is so flooded it is impossible to check it so none has obviously came out and actually read it.
Vacant property with a water bill over $100. I can’t even get ahold of everyone to ask why. I’ve been on hold for 2 HOURS. Still waiting.
Never know when youll get a 4 or 5-figure water bill. Incompetence is too nice of a word to describe the SWB. They shouldve gone private long ago.
Absolutely the very worst, which has been stated. No accountability no customer service. Just a clown show posing as a utility service. If anyone can come up with a way to come down on these folks I am in.
Corrupt price gouging, the city floods constantly, we have to clean our own storm drains and catch basins! And even then there’s no guarantee that our streets won’t flood.
Nice people but ridiculous administration keeps that place running a smooth as a square wheel
It was extremely difficult and time-consuming to get the water switched to my name at my new place. And then they would not allow me to pay my bill online, and when I called their office, the phone is busy. The prices are outrageous!
The most expensive and dirtiest water in America. A crime against humanity.
Horrible.... Ran by the same sort of Neanderthals that work at McDonalds, Rallys, Taco Bell, Popeyes, etcZERO STARS!!!
I got two bills totaling over $1250 in 2 weeks, all because my water meter got covered when sod was installed and they didnt bother telling me or finding it for 8 months. SWB estimated my bill every month at $80 for 8 months since my meter was covered; my bill should have been $180 every month. After the meter is uncovered, it takes 3 months to get a bill!!! I get a bill for $1150 on 3/7, and then get another bill for $133 on 3/21 because their damn emailing system is so messed up. Hey sewerage and water board employees, HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO GET OVER $1250 IN WATER BILLS IN 2 WEEKS? No explanation. What if I was an elderly couple on a budget and didnt have $1250 to pay for freaking water? Would you just cut off my water? If you would have informed me that my water meter was covered in the first place, I would have found it for you and would have cut my water consumption! Put a damn tag on my door in the first place saying you cant find the meter when the person comes to read the meter the first time. They dont give a **** about their customers (they have no where else to go...) O yea and Orleans Parish water costs over twice the cost of Jefferson Parish. I am installing rain barrels....
Pay bill online monthly, but water cut off due to nonpayment. Customer service rep claims bill hasn’t been paid since April... in what world can a customer not pay a bill for 6 months at a utility establishment before service is interrupted? So this is the type of behavior you all let slide, meanwhile customers who pay their overpriced bills on time are penalized and out of water until you all make your way back to reconnect service! Bull!
Very helpful in buying a new house!
I called the emergency line (because of Sunday night) and tried to ask them my problem, my house had no water but the neighbors house was still normal. I talked very politely but the woman spoke very angry, she shouted at me, (maybe my English is not good because Im Vietnamese) .. I could not continue talking and I told her I would call back later ..) please understand us because we were not born in your country, it is difficult to speak good in another language !!! I will give you 0 stars if I can! service too bad
My experience with the New Orleans sewerage and water board has been awful. They’re completely incompetent and couldn’t care less about what’s going on in their department. Have been living in New Orleans for almost 4 months and haven’t received a bill despite my calling 10 times to figure out what’s going on. They don’t take responsibility and never follow through. Lost my deposit check over a month ago and continue to tell me it isn’t their fault. Time for new management bc this place is a joke.
Was not pleased with the outcome I spoke to the Supervisor that was available she was unable to help me her Supervisor wasnt available... wasnt able to get a fair hearing...Whats my next step?
If I could give less than a one star, I would. My water has been randomly turned off. My bills are all paid up and there is absolutely no reason for it to be off. I’ve also been on hold for over 45 minutes waiting to talk to a person. This is the worst run company in New Orleans.
I wish there was a review less than this but there isnt. An employee named Nichole is So rude and should not have a job working with the public. There is a busted pipe in a apartment building the water meters seized could not shut water off. This is a horsticial construction. Nichole said someone will come out in he order it was received. I called back and asked her can she let them know the first floor was under water as I stated when I ended the last phone call she said she could not state it was an emergency dispatch would decide if its an emergency. I told her I would call the news if she kept refusing to tell them the first floor is under water. She didnt dispatch that the first time. I dont understand how someone could absolutely not care what so ever. I told her my next phone was the news station and she was able to move the process much faster. Its sad that you half to beg for help. That is her job to dispatch the complaint as they come in.
Its another 100 year storm, give me a break they are saying that every month..Then they say no pumping system in the world could handle that much rain, well Visit Japan and the Netherlands they handle more than we see..Just a bunch of crooked people stealing our money, the way its always been in Louisiana..Why dont they mention the 50 million that came up missing... Yes 50 million dollars given to the city from the government to renovate the NAVY BASE, well the SWB got hold of it for so called added flooding systems and the money did a disappearing act..NEW ORLEANS THE LAND OF CROOKED POLITICS AS ALWAYS..
Called Sewerage & Water Board this morning to report that their main water valve was not working and therefore if a water pipe should break in an interior wall in my house I would not be able to shut off the water supply. Their solution was to turn off my water. 3 phone calls and 13 hours later Im still waiting for water.
I left a review back in February for a leak coming out of a water meter in front of our neighbors house on our street that had already been there for WEEKS if not months... here we are today, the leak has gone unchanged, except now it is a health hazard as it is a cesspool of trash, sludge, and mosquito activity. Water covers the sidewalk as well as the street where cars have to park in mud-filled sludge water day in and day out. I, along with multiple neighbors have made calls to complain about this to Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans. What are we paying you excessive fees for again? How exactly are you getting a proper read on this meter since its been covered in water for months?
I honestly dont know how the New Orleans Sewage &Water Board still exists. The billing system is COMPLETELY out of control. My bill range from $100 to $500. I had a friend check my meter to see if there were any leaks. He had to dig into the ground in order to access the meter. It was very clear that it had not been read in months. There is no accountability! Dealing with these people is so very stressful. Giving them a one star rating is too generous in my opinion. They deserve a negative 100 would be more appropriate!
In my second battle in 4 years with them about bill discrepancies. This time they admitted the billing error but still want me to pay what they overcharged me. I am so tired of them doing nothing, over billing, & never doing anything. They are horrible.
Sewerage & water board did some work on all the manhole covers in my neighborhood a couple of months ago. Now every spot they were working has a pot hole. It’s been at least 3 months since I’ve seen anyone working on the pot holes that they left behind.
Worst company ever. After battling a back up in one of my rental properties they came out to replace the pipe from the street to 6 inch cleanout. They busted up 2 pieces of the sidewalk and dislodged a 3rd because of the moment. The 3rd piece moved about 3 inches from the other and leaves a gap now.I called proactively that they need to move it back or bust it up so when they pour the new concrete it’s filled. Well of course that didn’t happen. The gap is still there and now this is the 5th time calling. I’m now logging specific dates and also representatives for future issues which may occur due to negligence on their part.
This place is a toxic, oozing, dung pile in the septic tank of antiquity. There is a web site. An account can not be opened online. There is a phone number. An account can not be opened over the phone. An account can not be opened without remitting excessive physical copies of documentation by fax or in person to their offices. There is a contact number for emergencies. Service can neither be turned on nor restored (even if the shutoff was THEIR ERROR) without paying someone to sit at your building all day to wait for the nincompoop personnel they send out to not show up as promised. They have a customer service office that answers phones during banking hours. I dont know why they bother. The only thing that can be accomplished over the phone is having poorly trained, angry front line staff bark their policies at you and explain that nobody, even their supervisors, can do anything for you unless you take time away from your life, show up at their offices (with no public parking), and wait in line like a cow in a slaughterhouse queue. They do have the budget to ALWAYS have armed security standing right there in their offices because they know just how inept and incompetent and infuriating it is to deal with their organization. The last time this agency did anything to improve any aspect of how any of it interacts with the public it is supposed to serve, it was probably paid for in confederate currency. If you stumble into a desert, become dehydrated, suffer heatstroke, and are then trampled to death by a herd of rabid camels, youll be better off than if you ever need to darken this places doorstep.
As many others have reported, this organization most resembles a hastily assembled scam corporation, or a third-world banana republic government department -- whose only goal is to get you to sign up for auto-pay then artificially inflate your bill, then take hundreds of dollars out of your account, then put you under investigation for 6 months while they attempt to stonewall you in the hopes that youll forget about the money they scammed you out of. This is basically a CRIMINAL organization that, if God or the U.S. Government were just, would be wiped off the face of the Earth. It is a force for positive evil, taking advantage of people in a poor, dangerous city that has enough problems as it is.
If I could give them a lower rating I would.
The people who work there are absolutely impossible!!! Worst customer service experience Ive ever had. Even the manager was difficult!!! I had all the documentation that I was requested to bring (Spent an hour on the phone this morning just to get that information. One of the reps put me on hold and never returned. After waiting 15 minutes, I decided to hang up and call back). When I tried to get clarification on the additional document that they needed, it was met with a rude Why are you trying to change the way things are done? Huh, seriously? I walked out of there with nothing accomplished and still not sure what the exact document is that I need. Unbelievable! Who is running that place?!? Id go somewhere else, but this is the only water company in the city. For the love of god, please put someone else in charge who actually cares about servicing the people of New Orleans!!!!
The SWB the most unimaginably terribly run business Ive ever come across. Not even sure its appropriate to call it a business. In a couple years time the SWB will prompt Google and Yelp to allow users to give zero star reviews. A one-star rating is simply too high for this dumpster fire of a utility company.Incompetent, inept, substandard, pathetic, pitiful. I could go on.
Third world service and experience with first world prices. Dealing with S&WB nola is a nightmare. I got billed close to $500 for a tiny apartment. Went and disputed it and got a letter few months later basically saying just pay $200 instead of $500 because due to unexplained high bill. They themselves didn’t know why, they just bill people inaccurately high and see who pays up and adjust the one’s that complains. That’s how crooked this department is.
I would give it 0-0 if I could unprofessional dishonest thieves who else pays $500 per month for water for two people in their home just curious
Over charging on the bill, but dont want too correct their wrong doing.
I had a rather pleasant experience...I ALWAYS ask the speaker their name, especially when its not given at introduction.I was pleasantly surprised my request was without resistence. Tory was very helpful and pleasant throughout the service. Initially, I dreaded calling (after reading some of the reviews) but, Im happy I did. It only validated that not everyone have the same negative experiences.Nevertheless, rare experiences doesnt excuse the outcomes. I hope SWB utilize these reviews as a means to improve. Its obvious they still have a few pleasant employees.
Terrible people, terrible service, terrible customer service. Everything about this water board is hell on earth. They don’t care about your concerns and will definitely let you know. The entire staff needs to be replaced. They sent me a water bill 3 months after moving in (the FIRST one they sent) but had the audacity to try and charge me TWO deposits! Then when I call to see about the mess ups they talk to you so condescedingly you wanna just reach through the phone. Worst water board EVER
This place is okay but some of those cashiers shouldn’t be at the window with they rude ***es.Need another water company ASAP.
They have left a trash bag over an open fire hydrant for over two months on N. Hennessy & iberville. No telling how many gallons have poured out.
Our water mysteriously turns off after they were digging outside my house. I call and they tell me to wait all day for someone to come fix it. I do. No one comes all day. I call the second day, they tell me an adult must be present to fix the meter and I need to stay home all day for a second day. No one shows up again but the water magically turns on. Nice people but a flawed system.
Its.....unique....But the objective is still the same.......help our clients or customers
