It was fast but I cant believe this is the only location in New Orleans. It is outrageous. They had us waiting in line outside in the August heat with no fans for 20 minutes because this is THE ONLY COX STORE IN NEW ORLEANS.
Easily the worst service I’ve ever had 5 weeks no internet. Pushed back my appointment 5 times no help had to send out two techs then tried to tell me they were charging me for the techs. If you can use att instead do it these people are con artist. Bad service bad company
Ive been a cox customer for over 20 years and Ive been very happy. I had an excellent experience today at this location. My customer service representative Nick was very professional and knowledgeable. He was able to assist me with everything that I needed. Thanks Nick!👍
Sold me some wifi, and the service still isnt on. Have to wait 2 weeks plus for a techian to come out to my home. We need other companies to provide service in New Orleans
I was surprised how fast and efficient today was. I was preparing myself for a long morning.I may have been 10 th in line but was only there for 10 minutes.Keep up the good work.
After repeated attempts to try to correct my bill for an outage that experienced in the early month of February. this is now may and my bill has not been resolved nor has there been any credit if this Coxs service... sadly this is coxs customer service at its finest... And even though I went in person to attempt to resolve this I was still referred to a phone number again wasting my time....quite frankly cocks sucks
Cox has one of the smoothest approaches when it comes to ripping clients off. Their customer service is nonexistent & is leading you to spend more money than needed. Theyre able to provide cable & internet & the lowest possible price, then after a year the price soars with no additional services 🤷🏾♂️. It doesnt make sense, it should be the same consistent price as cell phone companies.
UPDATE: Currently on hold for 1 hour and 15 minutes!At the time of the screen shot Ive been on hold for 30 minutes. I called at 5:47 and a woman answered. I told her I just got off the phone with Coxs moving services to move my service to my new address. The moving guy said theyve never had cox at the new address before so I need to call the local store and get a service tech out there to make sure everything would work. After I explained that to her, which took no longer than 2-3 minutes she put me on hold. And here Ive been on hold for 38 minutes now, after the store closed at 6. I could totally understand if she wouldnt have answered or said can you call back in the morning please its almost closing time. But to keep someone on hold and leave work is messed up. She didnt ask me any questions, I didnt get to tell her my old address, my new address or any information.i will keep my phone on speaker plugged in and see how long Im kept on hold. I will be updating/posting more 1 star reviews later with screen shots! Thanks for taking the time to read this long post.
They treat you like a number. They have a monopoly on cable services. They dont care. They just want your money.
Service is fine at this store, but Cox is a terrible company. They never solve your problems. Experience constant service outage and poor customer service. Very slow speed and terrible connection even for their best plan. They just want to rip you off by constantly asking you to pay more to upgrade rather than solving your technical problems. Very tired of dealing with these greedy people, cant even figure out a simple problem.
My cable bill had become as much as my car note and I didnt even have the most expensive package. I canceled all cable except Internet. If I had another option for internet I would choose it. Went strictly streaming. Much less cost and lots of options.
Very safe and well planned out protocols for covid. The employee who helped me was nice, but I felt like she was trying to move too quickly and didn’t really break down or explain to me the next steps after setting up service. When we got home we had no clue which internet cord was for me and took us all day to figure it out. It would’ve been nice to have been told where they previously installed the service so we could know where to look (I live in a building with multiple units). So, I just wish she would’ve taken a bit more time to explain or that I could’ve been given a sheet or email with the next steps. I also was unaware of how payment worked and it wasn’t until I said something that she mentioned I could sign up for automatic payment. Overall, an okay experience just wish they took a bit more time to explain things.

Cox has terrible service. There are constant outages and no resolution either in restoration or crediting the bill.

Awesome experience! After no less than 4 purchase and returns of gear I was assured by misguided research and consultation with the good people of Walmart on Tchoupitoulas, I was able to walk in, give my phone number and handed a modem/router that would work with my plan. 5 minutes=awesome-d

I was told by customer service to go into the store. I went into the store to explain what was going on and I was asked why I havent had time to upgrade. When i said with tears in my eyes that it was because of my dad’s health and that it’s my fault I was too busy but since he passed I am trying to take care of things. Nick began yelling at me and saying everyone is dying and no one cares about my dad or my problems. He was very hostile. I cannot understand how that is allowed. Just skimming through comments I see he has a pattern of yelling at customers. Life is hard enough and this is really unacceptable. Grateful for Tonya who came in and answered some questions, but still I cannot understand what just happened here. I cannot understand how that type of communication is tolerated. We can all be better people than that. My mind is blown by this type of treatment. It’s a shame that Cox is the only internet provider in my neighborhood. As soon as I have another option I will switch.

The staff was quick, friendly and attentive although they didnt have the modem I needed.And after having satellite for the past 10yrs, I KNOW once I do get settled into my new place, cable from Cox WILL be next!!!KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK, GUYS!!
Service was quick and easy, but there wasnt really a clear sign in or line, so it was kind of a free-for-all whenever a customer service representative was available.Saw a few people get skipped in line.Also, seemed like they were pretty lax on how many people were allowed in for Covid-19 precautions. There were times when it was hard to social.distance.

Cox is the worst service provider but they have a monopoly in my part of town so theres no other choice. Internet goes out daily. Its been out for as long as 60 hour, but usually its only for an hour or two. Today its been out for 11 hours and is estimated to be out for another 5. They promised it would be back on at 1:00 PM but changed their minds and put it off until 11:00 PM. If you have the choice, DO NOT USE COX.

I have been a loyal cox user for many years but today I am very upset. Yesterday my internet access was cut inexplicably. They say they left me a note that I needed to contact them to schedule a technician to come to my house in the middle of a pandemic but I never saw any note.I did not do anything to damage my wifi or cut it off, you guys cut it off because of some wiring issues or another as it was explained to me over the phone. What really flames me though is that I cant have a technician come out until December3rd?! You guys cut off my wifi but didnt have a technician available for nearly a full week after? How am I supposed to get my work done from home, not to mention this happening right around the holidays. I work from home. I cannot survive in this pandemic climate without internet access and you have fed me to the wolves.The customer service rep on the phone offered me $25 credit, after hearing how mad I was on the phone but frankly that is not enough. I have no internet access, through no fault of my own, for nearly a week, to where I cannot complete my work and provide for my family. You had no right to shut off my service, which I pay for with no plan to get it turned back on promptly.I have always been a cox customer and until now I have always been satisfied but at the moment I am furious. I will not stay with cox after this, nor will I ever recommend them to my friends and family if the only restitution to this problem is a $25 credit and a week with no service that I have to wait just for you to send someone into my home during the most dangerous time in human history t is to have unnecessary contact with a stranger.

Cox has consistently been charging me for internet and refusing to connect my house. Their cables broke and they just keep telling me to reboot my modem.
Nothing about this store specifically. Just about Cox in general. THE ABSOLUTE WORST. Horrible service. Horrible tech support. Horrible prices. Horrible everything. Zero professionalism. I would be ashamed to work for them. Im ashamed to be a client. I would pay triple to be with any other internet provider but Im stuck with cox cause they have the monopoly over this region. I seriously regret my move to this place. Had I known, I wouldnt have moved here. Should have done my homework, learned my lesson for next time.
NICK charged my card multiple times. He yelled my card number out in front of customers even when I asked him to stop. He continued to repeat my card number. The manager with the braids was sent to help and didn’t even bother asking my issue! I tried to show her where my card was charged after NICK said my payment was canceled. I was charged twice and had to argue to receive a receipt! He also tried to publicly humiliate me by saying my card was decline multiple times after he made multiple successful charges on my account. The character of the manager involved and Nick were disgusting to say the least!!

Beautiful store. Customer service not so good. I talked to the same person. Same question on 2 different occasions. I got to different answers. I wanted to look at adjusting my bill. Answer: We dont do that here. I figure that employee didnt feel like working that day.
Because of covid one of us had to stay home to take care of the kids. Cox had just increased our bill $30. I asked them to decrease our channels to decrease our bill bc we couldnt afford that level of cable. They refused. They offered us more services. They said we had a contract up in 3 months. So they could change our services but we couldnt. They did not listen so now i am ending my service and purchased another.

They kept giving me equipment that I told them it didnt work. I plug in the second cable box and no power. Spoke with the tech there he tells me the HDMI and the cable line had to be hooked up for the box power to come on. The man had no idea what he was talking about

I used cox for the year I lived in New Orleans. I returned my equipment in the original box and was later charged for missing equipment. After providing the tracking number and additional information proving I sent it back Cox still charged me and ended up sending the incorrect overdue bill to a debt collection agency. Customer service one of the worse I ever encountered. Would not recommend cox to anyone if you can avoid it.
Reasonable store. Reasonable wait time. I typically stop by in the mornings to avoid major rushes. Background music is hip hop as I would expect nothing else for the area. Nice and cool. Friendly ppl.Their product is unrelated to any store because they are the face of the product. If I have issues, it’s a corporate thing and not a store thing.

Big shout to Rob serving the New Orleans area! On Sunday 8/4 Rob solved all my cable issues. Very knowledgable, professional, quick, on time etc. Very good at his job! I will be calling Cox & requesting Rob for all technical support in the future.
Horrible customer service always with Cox. Internet has been down all day and off and on for months now. My kids are being home schooled because of covid shutting down schools and Cox is making it impossible. Can never speak to anyone and when you finally can they know nothing. Its beyond pathetic

I had some initial issues with Cox wiring at my apartment when my service started. However, after some back and forth with customer service, they made everything right.The local store was stellar. They have the best customer service in New Orleans out of any of the places I can afford to enter. They should really be proud of their staff.
(Forced to give a rate just to post this, which is sad but I personally give Cox a flat zero).If you really want to cancel cable services with these crooks, if dont have one already, go and purchase an antenna and/or a DTV Box and just deal with watching whatever channels you have. Its like protesting without being destructive all in the streets to do it. Just stop paying them for useless cable services for a bunch of unnecessary channels and they would either lower the prices or get rid of cable altogether. We have the power/control to not tolerate such cable crookedness because its not a necessity/a need, its just a want, but if your brains are enslaved to having/cant do without cable then stop complaining about the prices and deal with it.Cable companies are feeding off their customers pleasures so they will never lower their prices as long as customers keep letting them get away with it. They dont care about making their customers happy/broke or taking advantage of rich folks, then why care about making them go out of business/shutting them down or whatever. Again, you all have the power/control so use it or lose it and continue dealing with/paying for those ridiculous prices just for some extra channels and those can never rent to own digital boxes. These cable changes have gotten worst, not better. I miss Analog.
Prompt, courteous, competent service. I walked into the busy store, a modem in hand, and as I was starting to sign in at the front, a service worker came over to me and asked if I needed to swap out a modem. We proceeded over to her desk where she verified my account in seconds before getting a new modem for me. My problem was taken care of in less time than it took to print the receipt. Great store. Great staff!
I had the nicest people and super great service. I went in to return a cable box I was no longer using from a broken TV. They pointed out that my equipment was out of date and had me bring in the rest for upgraded equipment. They even analyzed my bill to make sure I was getting the best deal possible.UPDATE: A few months later and my bill went up, my WiFi stopped working...no one from Cox can fix it or tell me why it won’t work despite hours of service calls. It’s a shame when a good experience goes so bad.

I SET UP INTERNET SERVICE WITH COX STATE THAT SERVICE IS AVAILABLE WITH SELF INSTALLATION, BUT WHEN I MOVE IN THE APARTMENT THERE IS NO EXISTING COX SERVICE IN THE APARTMENT, I CALLED THEM AND THEY CAME OUT AND CHARGED ME FOR INSTALLATION FEE. THIS IS RID OFF...THEY JUST WANT YOU TO HAVE THEIR SERVICE AND CHARGE YOU WHAT EVER THEY WANT AND YOU STUCK WITH IT. THIS SHOULD BE A PART OF THEIR SERVICE TO RUN THE LINE INTO YOUR HOME OR APARTMENT.
Very small wait time, but... oof. Don’t know if it was a lack of training or knowledge, but there seems to be such a disconnect between this store, the customer service number, and what’s online. Very frustrating with not many answers, basically just a shoulder shrug 🤷🏽♀️ as i was getting frustrated, my service advisor told me that i should smile .... I’ve had cox for years in several different states and have never had an issue with them, but this was just awful.
We have been out of internet for over one week. Every time I call to setup a repair, they tell me that we have an outage in the area and it’s not allowed to have a technician schedule. I am currently searching another company. How can a company have an outage for weeks? Very disappointed
They were super nice when I cancelled my service. Basic cable had risen in price to $155 a month. I cant afford that. But, everyone there was nice and understanding.
Cox has a monopoly on fiber optic internet. Why? Idk, ask the city. Did you know that in Lafayette, they’ve had gigabit service through a different company for $60/mo for over 5 years? Screw Cox!
Employees working for a paycheck. My bill continues to be inaccurate. If you want to get anything done with this company you must call corporate because people in office dont even know what prices it says on their website. People here are ignorant. Call 800 number to get results.
