Y’all, my engine looks NEW. You are seeing approximately 30 mins of engine bay cleaning (the service typically is 1hr long). It was pretty dirty in there, but Brandon said it wasn’t that bad in comparison to other cars. I drive a Honda from 2004, but Brandon did not judge (I hope I spelled your name correctly)!You don’t have to have a new car to get your detailing and cleaning done. Costs are reasonable and the website is easy to use. I’ll definitely be coming back later for exterior/interior services.

My car hasnt been this clean since I bought it in 2015. I have a child and 3 dogs and my car was in bad shape. After Slate Detail got finished with it it was like brand new. Slate is excellent. I had purchases car online and when I received it there were orange spots/debris embedded all over the front, top, back and passengers side. It was like orange sandpaper all over the car!I was going to go through the pain of returning it but decided to consult a car detail service first to see if it was something f that could be removed. When I messaged Slate detailing, he predicted what the problem was via text messaging. And when he came for my appointment, he was correct! It only took him about 45 minutes to make the car look brand new.He was professional, quick, on time and EXCELLENT work.I cannot say enough about how impressive they are!

Slate is a standout business across the board and without argument the single most professional detail shop in greater New Orleans. I hesitated, just for a moment because the prices are not trivial. But, I needed to have a headlamp polished and they specifically offer this service, so that drew me in. From their easy-to-use website I signed up for an interior detail and the one headlamp. Leading up to the appointment I received a few little email confirmations just like my dentist does to help me avoid forgetting my appointment day and time. When I arrived, a gentleman named Brandon was right there to receive me and bring my car around. Briefly I pointed out the milkshake and V8 juice stains on my alcantara and the area in the trunk, black carpet where a fire extinguisher had sprayed a brief blast. Mr. Brandon looked it all over and expressed confidence that he could help.I retreat to their cool, clean, pleasant waiting area and use the complimentary WiFi to watch movies on my iPad. While there, other members of the staff offered me ice-cold water and inquired just to make sure I was comfortable. Brandon finished my car in a very reasonable amount of time and BLAM: my ride actually looks and smells better than new. I said better than new. Not a fleck of dirt or debris anywhere. I tipped him 20% and felt sheepish doing it. A job like this would make a stellar holiday gift for the men and women in your lives. Im gonna share my experience with anyone wholl listen. These lovely people know how to treat a guest. And one last thing, that clouded headlamp came out looking like original equipment from the manufacturer. A++ Thanks for everything Brandon!

I am very particular with my vehicles, always have been, so I typically do not go through any car wash or let any service handle the cars. However, Slate is really exceptional. They deliver absolutely excellent quality and prompt service. I would recommend that anyone who cares about the quality of the maintenance of your vehicle to contact Slate about it. They have shown me that there are better solutions to just washing and waxing with attention to detail.

This is the third time I used Brandon and Slate Detailing and I will continue to be a loyal customer. He shows up on time, communicates proactively along the way and does a great job detailing my two cars. I have him take care of the cars about every 4 or 5 months... parking outside in Nola is tough on the finish and he makes them shine like they just came off the showroom floor.

This past weekend I frantically emailed Brandon at Slate after I woke up to my car flooded, asking if there was anyway he could fit me and two friends (their cars were also flooded) in his schedule the next day. I needed mold and mildew removed from the interior of my SUV after the sunroof leaked badly and the car got wet inside. The Slate guy I talked to explained to me carefully what they could and couldnt do and recommended that I take it to a body shop first, to be sure mold and mildew that I COULDNT see was addressed. He was patient and thorough and knowledgeable. He could have just cleaned what was visible and taken my money, but instead spent the time to tell me the proper way to approach the problem, even though that meant sending me elsewhere. Theyll definitely get my detailing business from here on out.

The guys at Slate seemed polite and professional so it hurts my heart to have to write this review. My girlfriend purchased the $250 slate restoration package for me as a gift, since I had been looking to have my car detailed. My car looked shiny and I was happy until me and my girlfriend started looking at certain details about the work (key word here is details) The trunk still had plenty of dirt and grime in the carpet (supposed to be vacuumed and shampooed), the tailpipes weren’t cleaned at all, under both door handles were dirty, both side door compartments had a ton of dirt still in them, and a few minor other details. We feel that for a whopping $250 there should be no crack or crevice overlooked, there should be no evidence of any dirt, and the car should look “restored” All in all my car was pretty clean and super shiny, but I wouldn’t call it a restoration detailing. $100 dollar value tops

From the minute he picked up the phone, it was obvious that Brandon is someone who takes great pride in his work. I took my car to Slate Detail because I was about to give it to my Dad to drive, and it was important to me that the car look fantastic when handing the keys back to the guy who raised me. Brandon went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that everything was perfect--even the cars engine bay, which probably hadnt been cleaned more than once over the twelve years I drove it.In short, I couldnt have been happier with the quality of Brandons work, and on top of all that, he is a family man and a genuinely nice guy. I am happy to give Slate Detail my highest recommendation.

Brandon did an amazing job with my car which was brought in to due to yellow tree sap on the hood, roof and trunk that was not coming out at all no matter how much I scrubbed with soap and water. I explained my problem to Brandon and he suggested I get the Clean Slate package. The detail took just over 2 hours to complete. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back in the future.

I booked a headlight restoration over the phone (super quick callback from owner) and paid in advance online. I went in on my lunch break today and was done in less than an hour. The headlights look brand new which makes a huge difference in the appearance. The job was a steal for the price considering the materials and time I didn’t have on hand to do it myself. Slate explained the restoration process which is exactly how I would have done it - wet sanding, polish, and seal. The owner is super knowledgeable. You can tell he knows his stuff just from the Instagram pictures - the engine details are fire. He’s also really nice and genuine. I’m in the process of cleaning up a 7-year-old Range Rover and will only be using Slate detailing!

I paid $120 I believe for only an interior cleaning and I told them not to even worry about my trunk space. The center console wasnt even opened or vacuumed out, and a small area in front of my shifter, which I had opened so they would clean it, was forced shut and wasnt touched. The windows werent even touched at all and you could see my sons finger prints all over the windows. Details just werent cleaned, looked like a job i wouldve done if I were in a hurry, not a finished product from a detailing company. Also, the back window area wasnt even vaccumed.

Slate Detail gives the best service. Brandon is very punctual, courteous, efficient and a perfectionist. My car always looks brand new when he’s finished.
