My husband and I just got stationed in Connecticut and we had to choose a PCP, dentist and etc. I needed to get my 6 month exam and my wisdom teeth removed. I had called a bunch of different dental offices and Columbia Dental had the soonest appointment available. Lucky me! I really got spoiled with the way they treated me here. Dr. Paul and his assistant, Lisbeth, took such amazing care of me. I had never had any type of surgery before and I was terrified. As soon as I sat in that chair my nerves had set in and I immediately started to cry. They had the utmost patience for me and sat down with me and asked me to blurt out any questions I had. My mind went blank and I started to panic but Dr. Paul just started answering questions that most patients have while in his chair. He made sure I was completely relaxed and let my husband come back to the room to hold my hand. Instant relief. Lisbeth and Dr. Paul went out of their way multiple times to make sure I was comfortable and informed me of everything they were doing to keep me in the loop. I know laughing gas does wonders for your nerves and pain level, but I truly believe the experience I had was so incredible due to these two amazing humans taking such great care of me! I didn’t feel a single poke. Dr. Paul and Lisbeth were super careful and knowledgeable about the entire surgery and made me feel so confident that I made the correct decision in coming to this office. I will never go to another dentist while we are stationed here and I will always 100% recommend this office! The environment is very positive and uplifting! My dentist and his assistant were extremely personable. There is absolutely nothing I would have wanted differently. Thank you so much to Dr. Paul, Lisbeth, and the entire Columbia Dental staff for making this such a smooth experience for me. See you in 6 months!

Office confirmed an appointment the day before for extractions, waited in an extremely small waiting room where it was impossible to socially distance from others just to be told that the oral surgeon hasnt worked at the location since covid. The office also had people leaving disappointed that the office has the wrong thing scheduled. Highly unprofessional, this place should really be looked into.

This place is trash. They cancel your appointment without even giving you a chance to show up. Complete garbage. Your better off working on your own teeth then going to this place. What a joke

I went to my first appointment at Columbia Dental New London at the beginning of October 2020 and everything went great. I saw Dr Paul Hanna and was told I needed an extraction - among other things. I was given a new appointment for tooth extraction - extremely urgent / infected molar with a fistula pus & pain- for December 5th. Lets mention that, since we are on Covid times, it is extremely rare to find an available dentist especially one who takes new patients. As my tooth extraction was urgent, I was told by the front desk to call as many times as I wanted in order to see if something would open up. And I did.On October 22nd, the Manchester office picks up the phone. It was on a Thursday evening at 4.30pm and apparently the New London office was close. The moment I called I was offered an appointment for that upcoming Saturday, October 24th. Which I kindly declined since a) I was on antibiotics to get rid of the pus b) I had to wait to book a ride since I wasnt driving due to a sprain on my right foot. So I declined 100% and was hoping for an appointment in the upcoming weeks. On Friday, I called again and the New London office picks up. I was asking if there were any openings for the following weeks and the person who picked up was telling me that I had an app the day later, Saturday 24th so they were unable to change it. I kindly said my app was for December 5th and wanted that changed if possible, for any possible cancellations coming up. The lady kept talking on top of me and stating and insisting my appointment was on the 24th and that I have NO appointment for December 5th. Since I had their business card with the appointment reminder in my hand I insisted on my end as well. Kindly suggesting to forward the proof I had on me via text or email. The lady got so rude and started yelling. I got so nervous that I requested to talk to a manager. The manager gets on the phone and she a) yells at me the same. b) treats me as if I was crazy telling me I do NOT have an app for Dec 5th that I am confused WHAT? c) she refused to listen to what I thought it possibly could have happened ( Manchester office deleting my original appointment by mistake) d) refused to help me knowing I was experiencing pain and truly needed to go back ASAP.Bottom line. Mistakes do happen. I understand this. But making a huge mistake such as deleting a patient urgent appointment during a pandemia and not be willing to fix it, plus treating you as if I had severe mental problems since I was confused or you dont know what you talking about mam is utterly wrong! I waited ever since to find a dentist. I called every place in the state and kept trying for a month and a half after that incident. I called more than once to the Manchester office to tell them what happened and that all I needed at that point was a sincere apology from these people. The bad taste I had in my mouth after this issue is indescribable. They refuse to accept their mistake yet being self righteous and rude. I even got my insurance to call and asked why I was treated in such disrespectful manner, and they played nice to them, yet never called back to apologize to me. To top this whole misunderstanding off, I did receive a bill from Columbia New London stating a NO SHOW appointment on October 24th 😂. A joke, truly.

One of the Male dentists here wouldnt listen to my mom when she spoke about her pain. He even did a procedure without numbing the area and also laughed to her face when she would complain of pain. Truly unprofessional and unethical. Never coming back here again.

I had a tooth that was causing referred pain in an unbearable headache for weeks on end and ended up on antibiotics to treat the pain and infection. I was referred to Columbia dental for the extraction . I made the appointment over a month in advance because that was how long their wait was. As it turns out they had tried to call me the day before and I did not receive the voicemail until the day of and they cancel your appointment if you dont confirm it the day before. this is the first company Ive ever dealt with that has done something so unprofessionally. in addition I had only missed the one phone call its not as if they attempted to call me multiple times if this is their policy. I spoke to Julie on the phone regarding this and she was short with me and rude. I had gotten work done here prior that had to be repaired by other dentists due to the lacking ability and shoddy workmanship but I thought that getting an extraction would be relatively difficult for them to screw up. Apparently I was wrong. I will never go there ever again.

Everything about my experience was positive. Great office staff, friendly and efficient. Kindest dental assistant ever. Desiree kept me calm and was reassuring throughout. The Dr filling in, Dr P, made me relaxed and was clear in explaining things and helping choose the best course. I felt NO discomfort and left feeling better. I will gladly return for continued care.

Have been going for years and mostly have had good experiences (or as good as you can expect when you are at a dentist appointment). Recently saw Dr. DelVecchio, he was excellent. Very patient, listened to me, and took the time to answer all my questions. Also Mike, who is an assistant and brought me into the room was great. Going in with a lot of anxiety he was able to put me at ease, hes very pleasant and a good sense of humor.

My daughter just turned three and had no reservations about climbing in the chair and having her dental work done. They were on time, fast and painless. She even said ‘it tickles!’ At one point. Great experience!

The New London, CT offices are very basic, based on my experiences at better dental facilities. Teeth cleaning was fine. But when it comes to getting them to provide a quote for implant surgery, get ready to wait an eternity. Even though I complained in person, and asked again for a quote, it NEVER came!_____I was told by the dentist that I needed a bone graft before he could do the implant. Well, it turns out that the dentist who successfully installed two implants for me 9 years ago told me no bone graft is necessary, at all! He was adamant about it. So, Ill be returning to him for the work instead of Columbia._____I got the distinct impression that there was a lot of confusion and disorganization. Staff was friendly enough, but what they told me and what they actually did for me were two very different things._____I have decided to change to a different local dentist who has very good reviews.

This is About Unnecessary Out-of Pocket Expense.I submitted my Ins. card which says Preventative Dental No Copay yet when I was About to leave the Secretary said You Owe Us 105 dollars. Receptionist hung up on me when I tried to make an appointment. Then when I was finally able to make an appointment and come in they told me they canceled my appointment even though I had talked to them the day before. Dont waste your time, go somewhere else.

At 25, I still experience severe anxiety at the dentist because of previous childhood procedures. I started going to Columbia Dental 2 years ago after they performed an emergency extraction, and could not be more pleased with my choice to stick with this office! Their reception team is consistently kind, their doctors professional, and overall forthcoming with all the pertinent information relevant to insurance and finances. I highly recommend this location, and their fantastic team. They will take the best care of you.

The lady (Laney Finn) who cleaned my sons teeth was absolutely amazing. My son hates going to the dentist but Laney relaxed him and made him feel comfortable. She is very friendly and professional as well as knowledgeable about all dental procedures and which insurance will cover what procedure. She is a credit to her profession and should be commended for her intelligence and great personality as well as her willingness to make the patient feel at home and relaxed. My kid cannot wait to see her again. She goes over and above when it comes to paying attention to detail. I would recommend anyone with kids to let Laney take care of them.

I have dental anxiety something fierce, but the Doctor who did my extractions made sure I was well numbed and comforted. Kept checking in with me as he worked to make sure I was alright and there was no pain. The visit was also the quickest Ive ever experienced at a dentist. Even with the extractions and him being careful, it was still under an hour! Going back in two weeks!

Have had a great experience at this office every time Ive gone. All of the receptionist are very friendly and conversational. All the dentist, and the orthodontist, are very polite and willing to explain things you dont understand. I always go to the same hygienist, Lainey, she is a lovely women and highly skilled in what she does. Always very considerate when I say something hurts or ask a question about what she is doing. Ive never had issues with this office and intend on going back for a long time!

Today I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed. I was incredibly scared and I was crying while sitting there waiting. The receptionist, Melissa, was very helpful! She made me feel more comfortable as well as the surgeon, I believe Dr.Huang, (sorry if spelt incorrectly.) The Oran surgeon talked me through the whole process, gave me options and listened to my concerns! I would recommend this dentist office to anyone! I am very pleased!The only part I didn’t like was the assistant who brought me into the room. She called my name and didn’t even smile, ask how I was she said “here’s your room” and walked away. That was very unprofessional and made my anxiety much worse. That is why I’m giving it 4 stars.

Hygienist Laney was so patient and sweet when we had problems with my xrays. Dr. Silver is amazing. Very professional, knowledgeable, and very sweet. Melissa front desk is great too. Overall a straight A team!

I would come here for more work on my teeth. They have convenient hours, they’re able to get you in fairly quick in an emergency and dental work is pain free. I have an extreme dental fear and I was not in any pain during my recent extraction. The only problem I had with this office is one of their female assistants was extremely rude during my extraction. I was petrified and she told me to get myself together and not get worked up in a very sassy and insensitive way. I found that to be extremely rude and careless. Other than that, the dentist I had was phenomenal and the other assistant I had (a man) was pleasant and even made me laugh. Weed out the insensitive workers. A lot of people are afraid to go to the dentist and people like that are going to destroy your business. UPDATE: The manager called me the very next morning after reading this review. She was genuinely concerned that one of her assistants treated me this way. She listened, took note and promptly took care of the problem! Very impressed with how much this facility cares about their patients. I will return!! Changing my review to 5 stars!

Great dentist, kind and compassionate. Room set up leaves much to be desired. Assistant was unable to locate some of the equipment. To make things easier, all rooms should be set up the same with supplies labeled. Rooms need to be more organized.

I called this morning at 0855 (they open at 0900) as I cracked a tooth last night and lost the filling. They got me in at 0945 and I was out the door at 1030 with my tooth filled. Assistant and doctor were very caring and made the overall experience as pleasant as could be.

My now 8 year old grandson has received excellent care for the past couple of years. He is excited to go to each visit and not fearful! Excellent, friendly hygienist !

I was in some terrible pain. Turns out I needed a root canal and these guys were extremely professional and accommodating. Everyone was friendly, easy to communicate with and genuinely interested in helping me not only get some relief but also walk me through the process so I could understand what was being done. I definitely recommend these guys if you are looking for a place to get any kind of dental work done. Like most people I hate the dentist and would rather go just about anywhere else on earth, but these guys really took the anxiety out of the usual visit and made me very comfortable.

Wow! What an experience! I would not recommend this place to ANYONE! You shouldnt schedule back-to-back appointments if youre not going to have flexibility with a new patient that was 16 minutes late and drove 40 minutes to get there. Melissa, Office Manager told me to still come in and shell figure it out (took me 5 minutes to get to the front desk after we got off the phone for her to tell me I had to reschedule). Melissa- didnt you tell me youll figure it out??? Well hopefully youll FIGURE OUT why I wrote this review. You should not be a office manager (I hope youre not) because you need training in customer service and scheduling.

First visited Columbia Dental a year-and-a-half ago after not having been to the dentist in 3 years. I had my teeth cleaned which turned out to be a great experience. The dental hygienist Lainey was very kind, courteous and professional did a awesome job. I also had a cavity that day, the doctor there was very gentle and professional and did a wonderful job no problem since. Recently I had my teeth cleaned again with the same hygienist with the same results above and beyond my expectations. A month ago I chipped a tooth the staff there make an appointment for the next day and the doctor fixed it and shes very kind, courteous and gentle. All the staff there very polite very helpful and treated me with the upmost respect. I would recommend Columbia Dental too anyone !!!

Good customer service but the dentist that did my Fillings did them wrong he did not even knew how tu place the anesthetic i was telling him i had pain still and his words were i put enough already and while he was doing the filling of one of my front tooths he shipped my other one really bad job not coming back again now im going to have to save money and get my teeths Fixed cosmeticly

They take very good care of me, staff is very friendly. Had to go back the Columbia dental again for a broken tooth, and again they were great got me in and out within the hour they were able to bond the corner of my molar any without any trouble, last time I was there they did a root canal on a Sunday and temporary crown for me and a few days later the permanent crown came in and they fix that with no trouble, I have had nothing but good service from them

I work seasonally and Columbia Dental us open 7 days a week. Also, dental work scares me, so I am matched with the same dental tech and a very patient dentist.

Iv been a patient for about 5 years now they Made my smile beautiful again .The doctors are all good of course I have my favorite 😉 and most of all they will do whatever it takes to see you smile . quick appointments and good service you win all the way around ... oh and can’t forget about the lady’s that work the front desk so sweet and Melissa always wears a smile that brightens my day 😁

Very nice and thorough staff. Im not ever thrilled about going to the dentist but after meeting them Im not nervous about future appts. Dont overlook this office.
