I had two issues. Fleas on the inside and raccoons on the outside. The Smithereen technicians, Julius and Jamie, really took good care of my home. They were thorough, listened to my concerns and addressed my problem areas. They both provided excellent customer service and Smithereen is lucky to have the knowledge they bring to the table. I would use this service again and wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to anyone who asks. Good job guys. Im finally starting to feel comfortable in my home again.

James was great! We have had an issue with flies in our basement. He thoroughly inspected our home inside and out. He then explained how they are getting inside and what we need to do in order to first prevent them from getting in the house. He then treated areas for the existing flies and explained other things for us to do ongoing to continue to prevent and treat. We asked that he use natural methods because of some health issues with family members and he was very respectful of our request. James was very professional, honest,knowledgeable, and overall just a nice person. We are very grateful for his work. Hoping we are able to remedy the situation with these means, but if we do need a repeat or future visit we will definitely contact Smithereen and request James.

They always come when I call. A lot of my issues that I have is lack of communication on their end and the office part. I always have to call them to make an appointment to come and do services where as other pest companies will call you or have a set day. When I do make an appointment I normally have to be home all day..They have told me they will be here in the afternoon and show up in the morning when im not home. I still see a lot of spiders but making appointments is such an inconvenience.

The technician was nice and thorough. He educated us on yellow jacket behavior and told us when we could expect to return to the property. I would use again

I saw a small wasp nest on my deck and immediately called Smithereen. They were friendly and scheduled me the following day. James was my technician. He was very friendly, patient, prompt, on time and made sure to check all surrounding areas for additional nest. He was informative and told me that they usually nest in rotting wood and where theres 1 nest, theres other nests. I didnt know that. We had a total for 2 wasp nest and I was only aware of 1 so I was thankful James caught that. I live in a condo so I had James check the other decks, as well. I highly recommend this place. :)

Carlos was professional, kind and knowledgeable. He called before he arrived and came exactly when he said he would. He knew exactly how to remove the hornets nest, was quick and very polite. It was a pleasure doing business with Smithereen and especially Carlos!

I dont have a problem with their service only with their scheduling. I have asked for a certain time on a certain day and they have scheduled me for times when no one is available and this has happened more than once.

Both technicians were friendly, knowledgeable and professional about their jobs, describing in detail what they were doing why they did it. The primary issue of removing a hornets nest 25 feet up in one of our trees was done quickly (same day) and was then removed completely three days later. Had an unpleasant and stressful situation thanks to my neighbors, and Smithereen was amazingly responsive. Ignacio, Daryl, Mark and Emily were all amazing to deal with, and I cant say enough about Chris. Chris professionalism and thoroughness went above and beyond what was needed to take care of our issue, and Chris was consistently reassuring - this company is fortunate to have him. I considered 4 stars because there were some communication issues with the scheduler, but decided that the faults of one should not detract from the outstanding service and professionalism I ultimately received from virtually everyone else I dealt with.

Appreciate their service when we can reach them. The phone always goes to an answering service, who does their best to relay messages. I called three times in three weeks asking someone to go to my property. I got a message back the second week to call them...then same thing with the answering service. On one of the calls I had the option to get a call back, they said within 5-mintutes. I got the call back three days later. By that time, I had received an email that they were ready to make an appointment and the guy on the call back had no idea. Very frustrating!

Let me just be clear about the technician that came out to do the bed bug inspection..Chris was really nice & professional & explained everything clearly. The customer service is another issue..I actually wanted to start the process but nobody ever did a follow up with me but they did bill me for $50.00. I called Stephanie & left a voicemail to talk about starting the extermination process & I have yet to receive a response.. Chris came to my house 8/7/2020 & today it is 8/11/2020. I received an email with the bill for $50.00 on 8/10/2020 thats the only communication I received. So I have contacted another more professional company for the job...my advice to smithereen pest control/Niles,IL be more professional & have better customer service.. Thanks..

First of all, Im dealing with a wife who hates ants and spiders. Last summer I didnt have any pest control service and decided to do it my self. That was a mistake. This summer I contacted Smithereen Pest Control and what a life savior. No ants, No spiders and no wife complaining every single day about ants.
