Our internet at our apartment was consistent, reliable, and bloody fast. It only went down a handful of times in the 2 years we lived there, and I was impressed how quickly and how thoroughly they sent out emails explaining the problem and what they were doing to resolve it. You love to see it.

It was very easy to create an account, register for service, and set it up. After having been a customer of cable internet service (and even an installer) this was an incredibly refreshing change of pace.I created my profile.Registered for service and paid the fee.Plugged in my router and once it booted up everything was good to go.I got the 600/Mbps service, my downstream measured on both my router and computer come in right around that 600 and my upload speed measures at 600 at the router and 200+ at the computer, never had that level of upload. Im very happy.

Ive had Arvig for about a week or so and presently Im quite happy about it. I used Xfinity and once my contract expired they wanted to charge me $85 JUST FOR WiFi...thats all I needed. With Arvig I get exactly what I need and I dont have to pay through the nose. Not only that, its already set up in my apt. building. I had to purchase a router which I did from Office Depot (on sale) set that up, plug in the modem already set up in my apt., make a call to Arvig customer service and I had service before we even hung up the phone. It was GREAT! What I would like to do in give feedback further down the line when Ive been able to experience the good and the back, then Ill be happy to give you another review, but for now its an excellent service.

This has not been a good experience. I order service two weeks ago and I am still with out internet service. The equipment was broken and 10 days ago I was suppose to have ia new outlet cord shipped to me. I called again today and they were very apologetic and said the get right on it....REALLY! I work from home and have had no internet service for 10 days. They said they would give me a 10-day credit, but I still dont have any service or replacement parts. I asked if I could pick up an outlet cord but the girl I talked to didnt know were any of their businesses were located. Needless to say, Im not impressed.

Their simple website design made signing up and choosing an internet speed very easy. No one needed to visit my home for set-up; it was quite straightforward and, aside from a minor technical issue on my end, took less time and hassle than expected. Customer support was prompt and friendly in helping me with my issue, so I felt reassured about the set-up process. Since then the internet has been running well and Im very happy with the quality.

Some of their installation crew team did a damaging number on my garden and one of my rosebushes while working at my association. When I notified my association manager, within 3 days there was a small crew from ARVIG at my doorstep offering to replace my roses and repair the damage done to the garden bed, right down to replacing mulch. The crew was genuinely apologetic and professional.

I had Arvig MultiWav hooked up in my townhome, so setting up internet was a breeze. No need for any technician, just sign up and go. Also, when I got here, the wall box had no power cable (I was able to use my own to get internet working initially) and when I made them aware, they sent me one for free, no questions asked! Very good internet and good service.

This is by far the best internet service and plan I have ever had. Speeds were exactly what was advertised and the one issue I had with setup was fixed immediately with 1 customer service call. I wish I could bring this service with me but Im moving from an apt to a home and unfortunately they do not have service there yet. Maybe they will in the future, I pray

The speeds are really good, and the cost destroys Comcast plans and offers. So far I have not had service interruptions. Wireless will have losses that even the best routers cannot avoid. My advice to Arvig is to spend some time to make a Moco 2.5 pamphlet or page since most home owners have coax cables running through their homes that can be used with a moco 2.5 adapter. Through coax I could get the full gig speed to every room in the house without having to modify the location of the incoming fiber port. The computer must be equipped with hardware able of accepting gig speeds, some of our older laptops only could accept up to 100 mbps due to hardware limitations.

All you need is a router to get their service. I purchased a used router model that they recommended. I am somewhat computer savvy but I called their service tech to help me. I think her name was Dianne. She patiently walked me through the steps to get it functioning. But immediately after I hung up the system was super slow. I called back to Mark and he tried to help to no avail. He left me a voicemail that he had a couple ideas. I called back and spoke to Nick and I explained to him what had transpired. He told me to call Netgear. Since the router was used they wanted to charge me for advise. I finally figured it out with the help of my son. It works great for internet and I bought a Roku and now I can stream lots of channels for free. This is the way to go

I see that there were a lot of negative reviews for the outage that happened last week but this may just be a coincidence. Ive used their service since it became available and have had excellent service. The speeds are great and unlike the competitors, they are consistent and you dont need to pay extra fees for equipment. You can simply sign up and youll have service up and running within minutes.

Ordered the monthly package for apartment and paid for it but then I only used it for a couple days before cancelling and when I cancelled they gave me the option to cancel immediately or cancel at the end of the billing cycle and obviously I assumed that I cancelled immediately I’d get at least partly refunded since I had only signed up a couple days ago but no. They said they told me when I signed up that I don’t get a refund (which they did not tell me!) and I had to pay to start up again. So just save your money and go with xfinity or any of the other providers

The frequency of outages in Richfield and long SLA have made it difficult in times when everyone needs to wfh . I have had my work impacted due to these outages and had to pay from my pocket to get 4g data pack for hotspot. I have also not received any credits for their recent outages .Today we had outage form 8 am and came back at 11 pm. I must admit that I am very happy with speed but the recent frequent outages have outweighs benefitsEditing my review after I received the credit.Hopefully there are no more outages as I am very happy with the speed.

When I first got this service I was so excited for fiber internet, and when I tried it the speed was great. The only problem is outages. This ISP has regular infuriating outages, I have had 10 major outages in my year of using this service, most of them being 24 hour (Or longer) outages. You can basically expect at least one time a month to not have internet, which is killer since Im working from home like many others. Every time there is an outage you get an email saying Weve identified the problem and dont know when its going to be fixed. Cool so basically I cant work for this entire day cause you cant fix a cut fiber in less than 24 hours, its unbelievably frustrating. The one time I did get a time table, first they said 1pm it would be fixed, then 5 pm, then 7, then 10, then they just gave up on giving a time. If you follow up with them over customer service they give you responses like We could never have seen this coming, its an issue with MN DOT, to shift the blame. I would much rather have significantly slower internet if I didnt have to deal with this issue, thankfully Im moving and dont have to deal with this service. Do yourself a favor and get internet from a different service.

FYI. 7years of comcast, cant recall any outages..They are always down,. Sometimes for days. If your card doesnt go through, your service is suspended (8 minutes after they email you about your card failing) at 5pm. Right when they close. To bad they dont fix outages that fast..

I am not that impressed honestly. I think the price is great but if I have 2 or more things streaming it slows everything way down. My kids throw tantrums bc we went from high-speed internet with Xfinity to this and its not nearly as fast. Im gonna try to go up a level and see if thats any better. Otherwise well most likely go back to Xfinity.

I give them 4 stars instead of 5 simply because I dont necessarily care for their customer service reps. The service itself is amazing, fast and the best Ive had. The prices are amazing and way cheaper than Xfinity. The reason they dont get a 5 is because the first time I called to start service, they had a lady who was acting like she was an operator and kept repeating the same thing when I was trying to get connected to sales and wouldnt help me. I then called the next day to get some questions answered and a different lady acted as if she was confused with every questions I asked. I asked simple questions about their service, what I need to do to start the service, etc. She wasnt much help but I figured it out on my own from the pamphlet I had and their website.On the 2nd day I started my service, there was an outage. That didnt bother me so much since I wasnt home that day and they got it resolved rather quickly. That type of stuff happens so I understand. I appreciated how they quickly informed the customers, got it resolved and then credited everyone a month of service for the inconvenience within 24 hours or less. That was amazing to me and a step above the game.Outside of their poor service reps, everything else is great. If they can improve that area, they absolutely deserve 5 stars. Luckily, I dont have a reason to call anymore and hopefully I wont again. Im glad I made the switch and I plan to be a lifer.

We recently had a long outage with Arvig. The way they responded was very commendable, providing consistent emailed updates and ensured that our data wasnt compromised. The outage was unfortunate, but the way Arvig handled it was great. Also, Ive been in contact with their customer support a few times and they are always friendly, prompt, and detailed. All in all, this is way better service than Ive received with other ISPs. Oh and fiber internet is great!

Very poor dependability on the network. Especially if you are considering the network for using while you work remote please stay away. The network went down 3 days in a row and we just get notified later with a simple email saying there is an outage and the team will fix it without any Estimated time. Sometimes the network gets disconnected and they have to reset or rewire the ethernet on switch which again leads to 1/2 days downtime. Very low reliability score and we just pay for 30 days of service out of which many days goes unserviced .Edit : Its good that Arvig understood the customers pain points and restored the service. Also gave a credit for the failed service. Much appreciated Arvig. This helps us continuing to be a customer with Arvig with confidence.

EDIT (5/18/2020): My service hasn’t been functioning since 10pm yesterday. The company was quick to alert everyone via email, but didn’t give any ETA. I called customer service around 8am this morning since I, like many others, rely on this service for working from home. The rep didn’t have any information and suggested calling back later into their business hours. The entire day the ETR kept getting pushed back and pushed back... they sent two email updates with different times and said we will all get an email once service is restored. It’s now 7:30, and according to the online chat, service should be restored by now. This isn’t the fault of Arvig as MNDOT caused the issue (and it raining literally all day yesterday probably didn’t help). Next time I really think they need to over deliver on their promises. Instead of pushing back the ETR hour by hour... tell us it will be fixed in 24 hours or less, offer a credit, and fix it before time is up.Based on all the reviews, I was really excited to cancel my Comcast service and switch over Gigabit fiber for the same price. I originally wasnt going to because of the contract, but Comcast waived the ETF and Arvig had no fees or contracts.The service has been pretty disappointing, though. I bought a $300 router recommended on their website, connected only my laptop via ethernet, but was only getting 200-300 mbps despite my laptop and cable being capable of the full 1,000 mbps. When I contacted Customer Service they were friendly but I wouldnt say helpful. The rep basically told me the service was correct on their end and theres nothing that could be done. I ended up downgrading to the 300 mbps plan and getting a $20 credit for next month. I hope they can get a tech out to look at the line when its safe to do so..

I had considered bumping them up to five stars after several months of exceptional service but they continue to struggle with customer updates during outages. They are great when things work but I shouldnt have to reach out for updates. Post them on your website, email, twitter...Why make me call after each ETA window passes with no update?Another wide outage July 2020. Of course its not their fault. I love to hear that from a service provider. Work days lost in last calendar year due to lack of internet- six and counting. Buyer beware if you count on internet for work.

Arvig Multiwave was the smoothest, absolutely best wifi experience I have had. I had questions, chatted with a staffer who cleared up those questions, bought a router at a local retailer for under $30. No protracted monthly charges for a router (competitor charges over $100), no installation fees. I plugged everything in, signed in my devices and all was go. There is enough chaos when moving so it was much appreciated to have this go so well. I recommend them to anyone.

The only consistent thing about their service is that it consistently goes down, but you can definitely count on them, as in, count on them taking a whole day to get it up and working again. I thought I’d never say this but, they’re worse than xfinity. In fact, they’re the most unreliable internet provider I’ve ever been with. If you’re a person who works from home, save yourself the headache and STAY AWAY! I would give this poor excuse of a “company” zero stars if I could.RESPONSE TO THE OWNER: The network is down again so the issue clearly wasn’t resolved. You even sent me two emails saying so. Bad experience from last 5 days. There are no details about what happened and why its taking time to restore. No details about what they mean by temporary Vs permanent fix. If you have oppurtunity for Arvig, do go for it. Simple 2 minute activation process and good competitive packages. I took the 40 💵 package and no issues seeing online movies or internet issues. Ive been so impressed with the fiber optic internet from Arvig Multiwav. Speed checks have always had me 100-104 MBPS every time, and their customer service is fantastic! They are quick to respond, super friendly, and really helpful. Having the fiber optic internet was probably one of the best investments our establishment could of made to make everyones life just that much easier. Very very happy with this service!

Ive been through both Comcast and CenturyLink for internet. Comcast was Comcast, with terrible customer service, high prices, and outages. CenturyLink has a good price, but it is slow. I never had to deal with their customer service except to cancel, but they were responsive. Arvig is less expensive than either of the above, and the service is about 6 times faster than I got from CenturyLink, and consistent. I recommend them.

Ive only been using Arvig MultiWav for a week. It was easy to setup, though I did have a burp setting up my smart phone. Done, though. It has worked with no problem, but I am having trouble with my VPN connection - could very well be the VPN service, I havent tested for it, yet, but will soon.

Edit: Arvig has refunded us (and everyone affected by the outages) for one month and apologized for the down-time. I wish they would have been a bit more communicative while the internet was unsteady. I may not have been even left the negative review. But things have returned to normal, so I am now happy.I loved this company when they were Northstar Fiber. Weve had them for years, but the past few months theyve gone downhill. I dont know if it has anything to do with them merging/getting sold to/otherwise becoming Arvig, but since the name change weve had a lot of mini outages that last a few minutes, oftentimes multiple times a week. I didnt think too much of it. However, now the past few days the internet has been down for multiple times. We were told it was fixed, but it was down again yesterday morning and is down again today. I understand that sometimes things happen, but the consistent slide downhill is making me uneasy. I really dont want to change internet providers, because until now it has been great, reliable internet for a great price with excellent customer service, but I need the internet to work from home, and it has been very frustrating.

For what you get the price is amazing! Symmetrical speeds, price never changes like comcast. 50 bucks for 300 up and down cant beat it! If you happen to be one of the lucky ones in the coverage area, its a no brainer. Get it! No more buffering and limits! One of the reasons I wont move yet is for this, its that good. Hopefully fiber becomes more standard as the years go on.

Dont work for this company, they advertise false information on job adds, they tell you that you will start at 21.63 but during the interview they force you to take 2.27 less. Thats a big chunk of cash missing from the paychecks. They dont put in there adds depending on your job experience. Arvig wants you to work hard for little pay. They hate being honest especially when you hear from the person who set up the interview you will start at 21.63. I will never ever recommend anyone to this company, not even my own kids.

I can call and have questioned answered in the US., not outsourced out of the United States & put on hold while they (the person) figure out what price they choose to charge me. Its taken me months to finally do a review because I was so heated by the issue but here it is. There was a complete lack of communication on there part they kept having us do the same routine from home to see why the internet wasnt working. Then they forgot I had an appointment with them and it was put off days later. I am usually a nice person but it was awful how the employees were not on the same page with my internet connecting problems.They gave me credit for that horrible rescheduling and the guy that came over and diagnosed the issue was awesome. Ill make it clear I havent had any issues since but it was a terrible first run.

Fast internet! no hidden fees! Contacted support twice to get some assistance.. I had to get a new router to actually get the internet across multiple devices (i was previously using a modem + router in 1)

So happy North Star Fiber become available in my apt. Had nothing but trouble with Mediacom internet. Since switching to North Star service has been excellent. Easy hassle free setup only took a few minutes and now internet speed is about 10x faster with no outages and the price is about 35 percent less. Very happy with North Star Fiber
