After leaving an online inquiry, Karen called us to arrange estimate, setup repair appointment and let us know in advance when to expect Frank; both to provide estimate and again when to expect Frank to perform the service work.Frank was also very professional and discussed repair in detail and condition of the chimney during his estimate visit.Frank and Diego arrived on time and performed the repair work as expected.Very pleased with this contractor and would recommend highly.

During the storm my tree fell on part of my roof and did some damage to the chimney. I called Top Notch and the receptionist was very polite and helpful. Mike and Jacob came right on time and assessed the damage and explained everything that needed to be done. They were both courteous and efficient. and finished their work quickly. First time using this service we never had a chimney and we had high expectations and Mike really meet everyone of them. Yesterday we had our Chimney cleaned by Frank. He was very courteous and efficient. It had been about 30 years since we had this done. About a few minutes in, Frank called us downstairs and informed us that there was quite a bit of crumbling when he started to clean. He didnt want to go any further since this could cause more damage. He informed us that we would need a stainless steel liner inserted. We immediately agreed, and he quoted us a fair price for the installation. He also resurfaced the cement crown with a new cap on the roof . Needless to say, we were very pleased and would not hesitate to recommend this company and Frank to others. In fact, we just gave their contact information to our neighbors.

Beware of this company I called them up for a free quote on a cleaning on chimney. They told me I needed to replace my liners on the chimney. An 1,800 repair on my chimney to my furnace. I got a second and third opinion and there was nothing wrong with the lining in the chimney. The owner came out and uses key words to scare you carbon monoxide poisoning and that the house is unsafe. They were all lies get a second opinion. They make you feel like it is an emergency but it is not. If you have carbon monoxide detectors in your house like they would be going off.

Top notch was very professional. Kevin and Scott showed up within the time frame given, assessed the situation, took pictures, and took the time to explain everything. Although the job ended up being much bigger than anticipated, they fit me in right away and gave me a very competitive price for the service. Left the workplace clean and tidy. Just had my chimney cleaned, Kevin and his partner arrived in the window of time agreed upon, after assessing the safest way to reach the chimney they identified evidence of some water leaks, he showed me the evidence in the basement while his partner took a picture of the old seal that was cracking and letting the water come through, he gave me a fair price and re sealed all that needed to be sealed. They were both very professional and gave me everything in writing. I highly recommend. PS the receptionist was also very professional and gave me a courtesy call the day before to remind me of the appointment.

I had my chimney cleaned, then I was told the smoke chamber was cracked and needed repair. I was quoted over $1100 to spray on a product called SmokTite.I got a second opinion and free estimate by a different company two weeks later and was told everything was fine and no repairs were needed.

Quoted three companies one high one low and they were right in the middle with the same specs as the high. Confirmed with me two times before they showed up and were on time and professional the quality of work is excellent and I am very pleased John and Diego do great work and spent extra time getting it right. Top Notch Chimney Sweeps were friendly, knowledgeable, & honest. Its a good thing I called them when I did because the previous owners to my house never serviced the chimney. There was a severe amount of build up & the soot came pouring out when they opened the chimney door; not only is that a fire hazard, but it has also been negatively impacting the functionality of my gas furnace. They also discovered that there hasnt been a cap on my chimney so water has been getting inside creating more damage. They installed a stainless steel pipe going up the chimney, attached a cap to prevent water from getting in, & even fixed my gutters for me while they were up there. You cant leave negative reviews just because you dont want to pay to fix your house, its not what I wanted to spend nearly $3,000 on, but that comes with the territory of being a homeowner.

Top Notch Chimney is the best! They came out on Saturday morning to inspect the chimney. It was in bad shape! The technician Frank explained the problem to us and what was needed. He quoted a fair price and was prepared to do the work on the spot! His helper Mario was waiting in the truck and all of the materials were in the truck as well. They installed a new stainless steel liner, cap and did some brickwork on the crown. We were expecting a bad storm Saturday night into Sunday. We slept well knowing the chimney was repaired and the house was safe. I would use Top Notch again for any chimney service. Frank was excellent, a true asset to the company.

Top Notch Chimney are scam artist they came to my house to clean my Chimney after the job was done one of the guys was using the vaccum while doing it he was blowing the dust into my house. Frank came back into the house and never apologized for the mishap then he proceeded to tell me my fireplace was severely damaged and needed to be repaired with the stuff they spray it with long story short I got a second opinion and was shown a pic of the inside of the chimney all that damage Frank spoke of was nonexistent.

BEWARE.. this time of year chimney companies are telling people they need a new chimney liner, just please get a second opinion because it’s a costly repair ! I paid over 2k! Especially if you hear any type of scare tactics...fire, carbon monoxide poisoning etc... I suggest run and run fast !!! Trust me I learned the hard way from this company ... and have heard others say the same !

Mark and Dennis called the day before to confirm the apt. and showed up on time. Not only did they do a great job cleaning the chimney - the inspected around the chimney in our attic to find that it was leaking in through the chimney - not something that they could fix but happy to talk to our contractor who did the chimney work so that it could be repaired correctly. Kevin was fine to deal with. I just needed a chimney cleaning but come to find out my chimney was rusted so they had to install a stainless steel pipe and cap which obviously cost more than I anticipated (the joys of home ownership) but compared to other places it was a better price and the work was done fairly quickly.My issue is not with the work. I paid with credit card and instead of swiping it they wrote it down (I should have known) turns out I’ve had fraudulent charges on my card $1000+ specifically from Bridgeport, CT In this day and age Top Notch should have a more secure way of capturing payment information as it appears my credit card number on the paper was compromised and Top Notch is the source according to my credit card company this is being investigated.If you use this company find an alternative form of payment to use.

A simple cleaning because I never went on the roof to check ended up being a . Bought a Groupon to have my chimney cleaned. Frank and Scott were awesome!!!! My chimney was in bad shape. They took out 10 gallons of unburned debris and pieces of my terra coda liner. No question that I needed a liner. They installed it and gave me a fair price. Would definitely recommend them. Great experience. Thank you!

Purchased this as a groupon. Made an appointment took off work. They never showed. Called again, they were apologetic, made another appointment two days later and again worked from home. Again they never showed. Gave them a final chance, made a third appointment. Guess what? They blew it off, never called. Called and demanded the owner call within 24 hours, and that was last week. Never even called.Absolutely a joke of a company, and looking at the reviews below it seems I dodged a bullet with them not showing. And theres over 14 other reviews of them blowing off appointments completely. Why does groupon pair with such low quality contractors???And those with positive reviews...likely paid for work/repairs they didn’t need.

These guys showed up right away . not only did they service my pellet stove but they inspected my chimney and found that my liner had deteriorated. They quickly repaired it and potentially saved my home from a fire hazard.

Had an appointment on Thursday. I was contacted 10mins before my two hour window and was told they were running behind and had to reschedule... fine. Then two days later after my wife waited and hour MORE than my 4-hour window, (because I had to work) they never called or showed up. Terrible way to do business.

First they gave me a hard time and told me they would not clean the chimney, were rude and bullying, then they changed their minds and cleaned it, but would only do one flu for the groupon. Then they told me I needed an emergency liner in the flu they would not clean, it would cost $1500 and they would do it right there as they had the pipe in the truck. I said I would wait and they told me my house might give everyone CO poisoning.I had a second opinion with a reputable company who simply cleaned the flu (the one that needed the emergency liner) and they told me no liner was needed and it was totally fine......Hmmmmmmmmmm wasted time, worry, and $50.....AND THEY ALMOST GOT ME FOR $1500!!!!!

This is the most in unprofessional company I have the unfortunate chance of calling for an estimate. I had a scheduled appointment with them for a estimate. I took the day off and they never showed up and did not take the time to even notify me they would not come. I had to call them instead. They told me that they would be at my home the next day at noon. Once again they never showed up and once again I took the day off. I will never call them again. A total waste of time.

I called the company in September to set up a chimney cleaning service in October. Although my location was an hour away, they said they could do the appointment. The day before the appointment, I was rescheduled, due to their employee being behind. I was rescheduled AGAIN, about a few hours before the second appointment. On the third appointment, at the end of my three hour window in which their employee was scheduled to arrive, I received a call saying they believe my distance is too far, and that they had no idea when they could clean my chimney. It was suggested that I find a place closer. This is now, November 8th, and I set this appointment late September. Its going to be 19 degrees tomorrow, and I wont be able to use my wood stove. Although there was communication and professionalism when speaking with the management, the moment they took my address down, they shouldve known that they dont come to my area. Instead, I wasted precious time after the recent purchase of my new home, and birth of my baby - because I thought I was waiting on a reliable company. They are NOT reliable, and will drop you. I even expressed that I was due the week they scheduled me, and was given an appointment time the day before my delivery. I will NEVER recommend this company.

Purchased a Groupon to have chimeney cleaned. Came out and looked at 2 chimneys. Told me 1 doesnt need to be cleaned but needs a chimney cap. Told me no sign of animals in there at this time but sees scrapes where animals have been in there. 2nd chimey they told me the sleeved pipe fell inside and was completely clogged and Not to use pellet stove. Left without doing anything but giving me a quote of almost $400 and a new date to do work. I went up on roof and checked what they said was wrong. Found pipe did slip off cap and was Not clogged. I put sleeve back on cap with ease and looked down pipe and seen no clogs. Yes pipe was dirty but not like they said and didnt need parts they were trying to upsell. when I called and talked to supervisor he stood behind his employee Kevin and was supposed to be at my house when he called me back to clean it himself. that did not happen and once I told him about the upsell that didnt need it the supervisor refused to come out and clean chimney. Going threw groupon to get refund. If you use them and take there word and cant verify then recomend NOT useing them. Scammers..
