Dr Robert Weiner and his amazing staff have been caring for our kids since we moved to Rockland County in 2001. He has cared for our cats, dogs, and African grey parrots.We could not ask for better treatment and care of our kids and completely trust that they will get the best care from Dr Bob. In the very rare occasions that a kid presents with a need outside of Dr Bob’s scope of practice, he does not hesitate to point us to the best professional to do the job.

I have been going to Dr. Weiner for 20 years with both of my GSD. He is professional, extremely knowledgeable in his field and an incredibly compassionate and kind person. Called on Saturday am and was seen within 45min with my sick 12 yr old dog.

All members of my family have taken our total of 7 dogs to Dr Weiner since the late 90’s and we could not be happier with his compassion, willingness to take time to explain what’s going on and help us make the right decisions for our pups, and general knowledgeability and expertise. He has guided us through cancer and the heartbreak of putting a love to sleep, teeth cleaning, bladder stones, and herniated vertebral discs as well as all the more usual vaccines, diarrhea, and eye infections. The practice will always find a way to fit us in in an emergency and every single staff member feels like a gift. The way they handle our pups and go above and beyond (even just helping cut off solid eye gunk). We are so grateful for this practice.

The staff and doctors make you feel like family. They truly care about your pet and it shows. The docs themselves are very accessible by phone, email and even an app that lets you face time them!! My dog had gone to another local vet office for 8 years and I’m so happy I switched!! The care my dog receives here is top notch!!! Thank you County Animal Hospital!!!

This doctor took my baby Luna on an emergency walk in basis. He graciously took Luna and patched up her ear. I am very pleased with how calm and caring he was to my little girl.I wanted to add an update because after that absolute wonderful emergency care that Dr. Weiner provided Luna, I wanted Stella to see him for her allergies. It was his first look at her and he was so calm and caring, clipping her nails without even blinking an eye as part of his exam. Providing so many options to decide from. Just today, I called to state my concern about Stellas condition and to my surprise, Dr. Weiner called back very quickly and discussed another option. Now I am away for the week but he laid out a plan to continue with her current plan and come in next week for the additional treatments.I couldnt be more satisfied with my choice of vet care from County Animal Hospital and Dr. Weiner. My 3 yr. old pup absolutely LOVES this Vet practice! She went to get shots and her nails dremeled and she refused to leave!!! They are extremely professional, caring, and knowledgeable and genuinely love what they do. Highly recommend!

Very nice doctors and staff - they try to make it a fear free visit. They are very respectful of me and my dog. They take time to explain things and offer educated choices/advice about vaccines, treatments, and tests. They make a conscious effort to minimize sticker shock and combine any tests/treatments where possible.

I highly recommend County animal hospital. They have been very accommodating every time I’ve had a health issue with my dogs and need to have them seen right away. They are extremely thorough and the staff is great. My only regret with County animal hospital is that I hadn’t used them sooner.

Dr. Wiener is the most thoughtful and compassionate vet we has seen in years. He actually studies the pet well, and is really kind, prudent and delivers expert diagnosis, something we havent received while taking our cat to see several other vets elsewhere for her recurring issue. He is also very honest.and does not recommend unnecessary procedures. Dr. Weiner is a caring and wonderful vet. He always gives his honest opinion on any questions or concerns and he never does any unnecessary procedures. He is very reasonable and always takes the time to explain what needs to be done and why. In general, he gives his patients a lot of time and attention. He checks my dog very thoroughly and I always feel that she is in good hands with him. When I have concerns about her, he also makes me feel better.The staff in the office is really nice and always helpful and the prices are totally reasonable.

County animal hospital is just phenomenal! Dr sue is brilliant and compassionate. It took a very long time to find a veterinarian that is of their standards. Money never comes first but the care my dog received is always FIRST class. Whether its for shots or a more serious scary visit Dr sue Rothstein makes me feel comforted.

Ive been going to Dr.Bob for 30 something years and continue to get the great attention and care for the many pets Ive had through the years. Everyone there is wonderful. Feels like family! We now call him Uncle Bob.Update: I have a unique breed dog now and shes been sickly. Dr. Weiner and his staff have been so kind and caring whereby they are amazing. Dr. Bob tries to save me money whenever its possible and hes extremely intelligent. Hes been so patient with me and my family and has a heart of gold. I now can talk about the experience of him putting to sleep one of my fur babies. As torturous as it was he made a horrible time beautiful as ludicrous as that sounds. She stayed on my lap as Dr. Bob proceeded so kind and gentle whereby he made it a peaceful experience as difficult as it was. Hes a wonderful special human being and vet. Always on top of everything with my animals care and his clients feelings.Cant say enough great things about County Animal Hospital!Update:My unique doggie is not doing very well and uncle Bob has been there for us all the way doing trying to find out whatever he can for my little girl. I took my Portuguese water dog Miko San to Doctor Rothstein last week with an ear infection.My baby is high anxiety as he does not do well with new environments or people. I was amazed athow well he behaved with Dr Rothstein and her staff. He was given medication for the infection and aweek later after a second check up his infection his ears were clear. I was very impressed by Dr Rothstein knowledge of Miko’s breed. I will definitely be making County Animal Hospital and Dr Rothstein Miko’sprimary veterinary for future care. Needed a vet for a cat thats throwing up. Since they were closing in about 45 minutes, they made us wait on hold, and then elaborated for a long time to ultimately let us know that they were closing in 1/2 hour and thus wouldnt accept new clients. Told us to go see VEG in Nanuet. Terrible service for a potential new client, and will definitively take into consideration to not frequent them. Somewhat disappointing given their high customer rating, so I feel even more encouraged to warn about their understanding of customer centricity... I think they adhere to being customer-oriented if it fits their scheduled...

The County Animal Hospital is by far the best Animal Hospital outside of New York City. About 10 years ago, our Parrot, King, got very sick in the middle of the night. It was life-threatening. We called Dr. Weiner and he instructed us to meet him in his office. It was 2:00 AM. Dr. Weiner saved our birds life! Well its 10 years later and King is 18 years old, happy & healthy and bringing us happiness. We cant thank the Doctor enough.

Truly wonderful doctors and staff!! We have always brought our pets to CAH and I would never go anywhere else. Two weeks ago I brought my long-haired German Shepherd, Jake, to Dr.Rothstein. He gets chronic hot spots that I usually treat myself, but this time was different. Jake has always been an itchy dog but I can usually control it with diet and medicated baths. The hot spots he had this time werent healing and he was more itchy than ever before. Dr.Rothstein told me about a skin cleanser as well as an anti-itch medication that she thought we should try on Jake. It worked wonders! It is now two weeks later, Jake has stopped itching and the hot spots have cleared up. He is finally sleeping through the night and so are we. Dr.Rothstein really knows her stuff and helped us find a solution that has truly improved the quality of Jakes life. I love Dr.Rothstein and everyone at CAH!!

It is with great regret that I have to state what will follow. Dr. Weiner initially WAS awesome. He cared for my bird, and at least five of my dogs and a cat for years. WE had made some arrangements regarding several issues and had agreed on those arrangements. Over time, Dr. Weiner did a 180 and breached ALL that he agreed on. In my experience, not my opinion but my experience, Dr. Weiner evolved to be quite the greedy little man who turned on me on a dime! I was quite disenchanted and of course left his practice and have since found better treatment, pricing and overall care for my animals on an exponential level. He is a greedy man who breaks agreements and promises. He is a master of the first impression and can be very personable and nice, but deep down he is VERY greedy and all about the dollars! He breaches the very oath he has taken, as many medical professionals do. BEWARE!!!

As soon as we walked in we were greeted and put into a room. The assistants interacted with my dog and kept him entertained while we waited for the doctor. Dr. Weiner was very patient and took his time to exam and then explain his findings and plans with me. He even followed up with me on his day off!
