We hired NY Fireplace Designs to repair our chimney which was causing water leakage. Ted came to survey the chimney condition, shown us photos of what he found, and made an honest and reasonable proposal about how he planned to repair it. He came with his crew as scheduled, and did an excellent job to correct the brick setting and applied water-proof material for the entire surface. And we are delighted that his method worked and his diagnosis was right on. Ted was patient and sincere throughout the whole process, it was a pleasure to work with him, and we highly recommend his service.

I made an appointment with them for 12pm with a 2 hour window. 2pm rolled around and I still had heard nothing so I called and was told I would be called right back. Another hour passed so I called again to which I was greeted with a story about his truck breaking down and having to transfer equipment etc and tells me that he just walked back into the office and I havent even taken my coat off. 1. Why didnt you call me at all to tell me this and explain the delay? I sat around for 3 hours with zero communication from them. 2. Why are you back at your office and not at my house? You cant expect a customer to sit around all day waiting on you without communicating and giving them the opportunity to reschedule. Its 12pm on a Thursday during the work week so you do not have respect for other peoples time either. Unprofessional!!! I cancelled and will be using someone else!

I dont write that many reviews, but I do appreciate when someone takes the time to give a valued opinion. I realized today that Ted has been sorting out my 1925 Fireplace since i moved here 15 years ago. He cleaned the chimney and installed the black glass doors after I moved in to this house. Today he came to clean after i had thrown in way too much brush and had a smokey major fire last winter .all cleaned and sorted out now. Thanks to Ted. highly recommend him, and his service, and knowledge.
