I went to River Ride to have Sebastian do an amazing giraffe tattoo tribute to my grandmother. It was a wonderful visit, they worked with me with the changes I wanted on my tattoo and Ill definitely be coming back. my husband was there with me and once he decides on his next tattoo hes definitely going to go there and ask for Sebastian!!HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I didn’t expect to be laughing while getting a piercing… honestly I was super nervous and she made it a million times better than what I could have ever expected. Pretty cool little tattoo shop. The tat artist Tracy helped me get a quick tattoo within the hour since it was a simple design. The decor was pretty much the usual interesting pieces of the artists. Clean but also it looks like an old school place so theres some worn furniture but again its not dirty. Everyone was nice, paid the tat and was off.
I had a great experience at River Rat! The shop is very clean and has a very friendly and easy going atmosphere. Trevor and JJ did amazing work on me and my mom with great attention to detail, beautiful color choices, and nice conversations! I will be coming back in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new tattoo.
I went to kristal to get a piercing and she was super sweet and very knowledgeable. She took her time making sure everything would Look perfect.she put me at ease and made the process smooth and as painless as possible. She explained everything and did everything so well! Family owned and operated tattoo shop. Customer friendly, responsive service, and professional staff. The shop is small but Vine of the cleanest Ive been to.This is my fifth tattoo in the San Antonio (and surrounding areas) and Trevor at RRT did a an excellent job with my compass tattoo. I appreciate his attention to detail and making sure the tattoo placement was correct. It is at times like these when you find out your arm is shorter than the other, one clavicle bone brighter than the other, or in my case my navel is not properly centered with my mid-clavicular chest line .I was charged under the quoted price, which is definitely a first in my tattoo journey. Im a very family oriented individual so I naturally am now very fond of this shop. I would happily recommend to friends and family based on that and the quality of their work.

I first went in for a nose piercing and was super pleased with how sweet and welcoming Kristal and Sarah were. My nose piercing was super fast and I ended up scheduling a floating navel piercing with Kristal. After seeing how my first navel piercing was done completely wrong and didn’t heal, she took the time to examine my anatomy and recommended the floating navel and I can see and feel a drastic difference in the healing process. Kristal did such a great job in talking me through it and taking her time to make sure it was done correctly and in the right location. I’m super pleased with both of my piercings and definitely recommend seeing Kristal and Sarah if you’re looking for a new piercing!
First time being here had an appointment at 10am showed up 9:45am to be early and prepared. 11am comes by no one shows up. Get a text 11:20am too see if im still coming in. Why would I come in to an appointment thats over an hour late.Hard to find a good shop these days. Sorry guys one star for me.

UPDATE: they attempted to correct the tattoo for me, unfortunately I was unable to go because of COVID. I really appreciate the effort.Tattoo did not follow the stencil, lines are not straight, also not the same width in many places.on one part Pugsley went so deep that it has taken weeks to heal, and is now a different shade than it is with the rest of the tattoo. I have never used them before, so all I can say is if you go do not use Pugsley.
They did both of my girls ears, and they did amazing 😁
I absolutely love my tattoo by Jess at River Rat Tattoo!! She worked with the ideas and pictures I had to create exactly what I was looking for and she did the entire piece free hand with nothing but a permanent marker outline- I can honestly say I wouldnt trust anyone else to work free hand but she puts you right at ease with her great personality, eye for artwork, and her attention to detail. The shop was really clean, everyone was really nice so I will definitely be back- but only if Jess is there!! Sorry not sorry, but shes awesome.

I walked in to River Rat and talked to Tracy, who referred me to Chris. What an amazing young man and artist. I had my own design, came in for a consult finalized the date. I can say that Chris was attentive and focused on the work at hand. Chris was on point during the entire session. I am beyond pleased and satisfied with this young mans work. Krystal did a rook piercing on both me and my wife. She did a great job at making sure we were both as comfortable as possible. She pays a great deal of attention to proper sanitation and cleanliness when piercing. Both of our rooks came out great! We will be returning soon for helix piercings.
My wife and I had our piercings done by Kristal. She was extremely professional and friendly. She knows her job and is good at it. We will continue to go to River Rat for piercings in the future.
Very clean and inviting atmosphere. Jay is a true artist. He also was very friendly and made the time seem like nothing at all. I live 4 hours away and will still most definitely be back. Price was very fair. I saw images of Tracy and Chriss work and both looked very good as well. All in all, this seems like a quality, clean, and professional shop.

My two sisters and I got a third piercing for each of us and it went great! Jenna pierced all of our ears while Sarah watched, because she’s an apprentice. Jenna was wonderful! She talked to us and was super nice. They cleaned everything after each use and replaced the gloves as well. I have a low pain tolerance so after I got my ears pierced Sarah got me water. They both were so nice and personable and the total price was just $55! I definitely recommend river rat and if you get a piercing ask for sarah or jenna!

Jay did a walk-in tattoo for me. It’s my first tattoo and he was very professional and an excellent artist. He told me what was going on, what to expect, and generally made me feel really comfortable. I’m a pretty anxious person but the moment he started talking to me he made me feel less nervous. He started off doing a smaller line so I could get a feel for it and did beautiful work. It definitely makes me want to get another from him.

River City Tattoos is an awesome place to go into and they will design your tattoo the way you like the way you want it. You can go in there and see Jay and he does some Immaculate work. I believe the owners name is Tracy and he is a down-to-earth guy so once you go in there and talk to them and get your next tattoo or your first tattoo even have a piercing girl if thats what you looking for!

I emailed Tracy at River Rat tattoos a week before I went in with my idea and he worked with me and had everything lined up for me for the day I was coming in. When I arrived Jason had everything ready for me, then I told them I had changed my mind and had a completely different tattoo. Jason was absolutely wonderful to me. He took my new tattoo idea, drew it up for me and had me ready to go again. I am so thrilled with the work that he did for me. My new tattoo was everything I had hoped it would be. Ive been here twice for piercings and had an absolutely wonderful experience with Petra. She spent a lot of time making sure my piercings were perfectly aligned and even. I got my helix double pierced the first time and had my earlobes triple pierced today. Would definitely recommend this shop for piercings!
