We have used Shred-It for a few years and had always had good service. On September 1, 2021 we went online to schedule a pick-up. In the past, the pick-up would be within one or two weeks. This time, the pick-up would be on September 29, 2021, essentially a full month away. I was at the office all day and as of 5:30pm there was no pick-up. I called customer service to find out what was happening. They confirmed that we were supposed to get a pick-up that day, but couldnt explain why we didnt. The rep attempted to contact the local office, but it had already closed for the day. She said she would write up a ticket and we would be rescheduled. (Total call time 40 minutes.) It is now one week later and we have not received a pick-up, nor have we received any contact from them. We will likely be seeking other options going forward.

Our service with Shred-It has been wonderful. They are always on time, friendly and provide quality service. I have been working with them for years and never had a problem.

Have not had any issues with the shredded company our staff are very happy with the service that we received. ( Ovation JEWISH Home) I shred person is Jason Todd very professional always enter the building with a smile. Always the first to say good morning just all-around good guy very professional, we know when he is off when they have someone else do his route just not the same. We always hear about the complaints but never the good stuff Jason Todd represent your company very well...👏

Shred-it is a company that I was familiar with in a previous job. It was easy to choose them to handle the shredding for my current employer. Ive never been disappointed.

The website says it is open between 8-5 on Thursdays....went there today and was told closed on Tuesday and Thursdays..wasted tripI wanted to update this review based on the contact I had with the company. They understand my concern and are working to change the way the hours of operation shows on Google.

I brought in 3 small bags of personal financials, not even a grocery bag full and was charged $50.00. Upon getting my receipt, I told the employee to forget it I’ll get rid of it myself, he was told by a person on the telephone the card has been run through already! Never again, and will never recommend them to anyone.

Previously our service was through Cintas, when it switched to Shred-It everything went downhill. We called for two weeks to schedule a pick up. We ended up leaving several voicemail messages with no return. We called the main center to get some answers and they said they would speak to them and call us back. Surprise, surprise, no answer.Finally, we cancelled our service. They said someone would be back to pick up the shredding container. They said they would get back to us. Another week of phone tag, and they finally schedule a pick up for last Friday. Well, its Monday morning and behold the container is still here. Horrible customer service, very disappointing.

They told me they would be by two days ago for pickup and I am still waiting. They are currently not answering their phone so I have no idea when they will decide to show up. If you have a tight schedule, do not use this company. If you have a lot of wiggle room when it comes to scheduling - then I trust they will eventually get around to doing their job.

We had Shred it years ago and it sucked. Not coming on the days they said, billing issues so we switched to Cintas. It was so nice, never any problems. Now shred it buys Cintas out and we are stuck with shred it again. Thought ok, maybe they changed maybe they will be better. NOPE! Same crap, we have scheduled day each month for them to come out. Never show up on that day, so you really never know when they will come. Well they never showed up last month, I have called 4 times now, each time they say they are sorry and someone will call back and schedule a day for pick up, never ever a call back. Two weeks going through this, our carts are full and now next week it will be our regular scheduled date that they should come out. A full 2 MONTHS since our last pick up! Shred needs to learn customer service ASAP. If you say your going to call someone back, call them. If you cant make it that week youre supposed to come, call them! Horrible company and I am actively searching for a new shredding company.

If I could give them less than one star, I would. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The first scheduled appointment, they did not show up. When they actually did come out, they did not complete the job. After numerous phone calls and e-mails (months had gone by), they finally completed the job, but not in a timely manner, and they left the empty boxes laying in a pile (not collapsed) in the middle of the room. Avoid this business at all costs.

We used to be a client of Piranha but Shred-It recently bought them out, and boy can you tell a huge different between the two companies. Piranha assigned us Gary Will in sales and who was our only contact, he would stop in if he was in the area and see how things were going for us and was extremely professional and prompt with any service calls we needed. Sadly Gary lost his job when Shred-It bought Piranha out and now we are treated more like a number than an actual client, every time I have a question I have to call the general number than an assigned representative and it takes a long time for my questions to be answered.When I called to cancel service for two of our satellite offices a couple months after Shred-It bought out Piranha I was on the phone with numerous representatives for over 30 mins because of how confused they were. They even told me that one of the security bins that were placed at a satellite location wasnt even on file for them, they then blamed Piranha for their bad record keeping hence the confusion... Piranha never missed a beat when it came to scheduled pick up dates for all of our locations and had superb customer service and professionalism.We have been trying to get a security bin at our Milwaukee location picked up and the schedulers seem to lack communication with each other as to who has spoken to me and when the actual day our final pick up is. One scheduler even called during their Christmas party continuously laughing with her coworkers as I tried to resolve the issue, when she gave me the date they were scheduled to pick up they were a no show.Disappointed doesnt even cover it for me.

Terrible service.can never reach someone about your service. you never know when they are coming...Finding another shredding company..
