Absolutely outstanding service. Having two invasive surgeries in 6 months on the same shoulder area isn’t what I would call a great time. Dr Tim is beyond amazing with his in depth analysis of every problem and his willingness to work with the patient as opposed to working for. Anup, Carlene Siobhan are providing the best up front care possible.Entering into my second surgery in August I was beyond anxiety ridden but the entire staff and Dr Tim instilled confidence in me. I have had many emails and phone calls since February when I had my first surgery and I have never waited for more than a day for a reply.I have literally trusted my life to Dr Tim and the team twice in six months and wouldn’t hesitate to ever again. When a Dr calls to check on you while he’s on vacation with his family you can rest assured you’ve made the right choice. I can’t speak highly enough of the staff at OrthoBoston. Extremely highly recommended.

Practice Manager Carlene is not very good at following up (she recently started at Ortho.Boston this year, 2021; did my research). Expressed interest in one of their job postings by sending an email inquiry to their team email. Got a call from her but was unable to answer. Voicemail was left - was told only in the office till 3:30. Sent another email to the general mailbox, addressing her directly, advising my availability. Never got a reply back even after sending a follow-up email to her personal work email. What was the point of calling if you do not bother to return email correspondence?

Dr Tim reconstructed my husband Jacks shoulder,he is highly an excellent surgeon, he is one of the best educators, (extremely important) to his patients and families. He is an intense listener. He goes above and beyond interactions, teaching, and professional interactions. Being a nurse for 53 years I have had many intercessions with doctors. Our evaluation of Tim as being one of the best Ortho guys we have had. Thank you Dr Hartshorn for being a wonderful peoples doc.Barbara and Jack

Dr. Hartshorn is truly one of a kind. He takes his time to explain your options, even drawing a knee on the wall to explain my surgery. The office is clean and run very efficient. They have snacks and coffee. No waiting around. Appointments run on time. The staff is kind and really care about you as a person and a patient. I feel very good about my knee replacement surgery.

I got ‘frozen shoulder’ and came to see Dr Hartshorn about 6 weeks after it started when hadn’t improved. He was thorough but appropriately conservative and was such a good communicator. He talked me through the causes of my injury and my different treatment options, including the pros and cons of each. He followed up with a bunch of literature that reinforced his recommendations and addressed a lot of my questions. Really a great experience for a crummy situation!

The team at Ortho Boston are all phenomenal to work with. My PT got me to meet them within hours, leading to their advocacy of getting me a MRI for fully torn achilles, to surgery just days later and successful. Top notch team for all to take advantage of in the future

No doubt I made the right decision seeing Dr. Hartshorn. He sat with me after the physical exam and explained to me the options i had. He explained that if surgery can be avoided then that would be in my best interest. He referred me to a physical therapist he knew specialized with what i was dealing with. I would strongly recommend Ortho.Boston to anyone especially friends and family. Thanks guys keep up the great work!

The staff is phenomenal and made me feel so comfortable from the second I entered the building. I was referred to Ortho Boston from another orthopedists that I was getting treatment from for about a year. In one visit with Dr. Hartshorn he was able to pinpoint the main cause of my shoulder pain and set up a program to finally let me sleep at night without waking up screaming in agony. Might sound funny but I am looking forward to my next visit and down the road to finally be back to normal with his expertise.

The folks at Ortho Boston are one of the best in the business. I went in to have my knee looked at and didnt think I would actually like going to the doctors. The doctor was able to describe what was happening to my knew in a way that even a 5 year old could understand. That means a lot to me because I dont like big words, hahaha. The staff are very professional and also makes you feel at home. Before you know it, you are done and it didnt even feel like you you went to the doctors. I would definitely recommend Ortho Boston to anyone I meet.

Thanks to Dr. Hartshorn and his staff I am well on my to a full recovery of a Bimalleolar ankle break. Very thorough in explaining my injury, treatment options and surgical procedures, and recovery milestones. Im so thankful to have found Ortho Boston, beautiful clean office space, professional staff, and a great cup of ginger tea at every appointment to ease my anxiety. Dr. Hartshorn extraordinary, he followed up with me several times after surgery, and returned all my calls promptly and most of all expressed care and concern for all my pre and post op questions.

Ive had a Knee injury back in Nov 2017. I saw my General physician who referred me to see the Orthopedic at a hospital. I was told sooner or later I would need the surgery. Meanwhile, I was put on heavy dosage of Ibuprofen and other Medicines, However the pain did not go away. For two months I really struggled to live day to day life, especially without bending my knee. This is when I was scheduled to see the Knee Specialist Dr. Timothy Hartshorn. My First meeting with Dr. Hartshorn was pleasant. He understood the intensity of my knee pain and empathized. His Diagnose was accurate and knew exactly what I needed. Today, Im proud to say Im as good as I was before the injury, and that also without the surgery. Im truly quite Thankful to Dr. Hartshorn and highly recommend him.

So happy I went to Ortho.Boston.... they are a fabulous team! I went in for excruciating back pain and sciatica. Dr. Hartshorn explained what was going on and had his team, Shirley and Kaley, schedule an MRI and consult for cortisone shot immediately. They went above and beyond following up with me after hours. Two days later, Im feeling much better and can walk again. When I tried to schedule those appointments myself I couldnt get anything for at least a month. I cant say enough how happy I am to have gone there.

Dr. Hartshorn is a great doctor in every regard. After 2 other shoulder specialists told me that the only possible treatment that could benefit me was total shoulder replacement surgery on both shoulders and that PRP therapy could not possibly help me, Dr. Hartshorn agreed to give PRP a try. It worked! It is now 9 months since my last treatment and I cannot stress too strongly how much better I feel. My pain is about 5% of what it was and I have much greater range of motion. Dr. Hartshorn took lots of time with me at every session and showed genuine concern. Dr. Hartshorn is a great guy and I will always be grateful for what he did for me.

All I can say Boston, is that YOU have gained a rock star, and we out here in California are left with the tour bus drivers....2 years ago I was involved in a bicycle accident and tore the rotator cuff in my left shoulder. The pain was excruciating, and continued to get worse over time. One of my colleagues who was seriously injured in a surfing incident a year earlier, that basically destroyed his shoulder (broken bones etc) had been treated by Dr. Tim Hartshorn, and recommended that I go see him. I did, and I IMMEDIATELY knew I was in the right place, with the right doctor.Ultimately, I required surgery to repair my shoulder, but prior to actually scheduling surgery, I needed to finish out the work season on light duty. Dr. Hartshorn gave me direct steroid injections to the shoulder joint over the course of the next few months to get me through the rest of that season. At the end of the season, I went in for surgery in the morning, and was back home that afternoon. Almost immediately, Dr. Hartshorn had me on a physical therapy routine that got me moving my newly repaired shoulder in short order.Over the course of the next several weeks, the pain subsided, my range of motion returned as I continued physical therapy, and in less than 3 months, I was back at work with no restrictions. What you need to understand is that prior to seeing Dr. Hartshorn, I could not even hold a coffee cup in my left hand without serious pain. The act of threading a belt through my pant loops required assistance from my wife. Sleeping was nearly impossible and I was a wreck due to lack of sleep.Surgery takes time to fully heal from, and I knew that going in. It also takes commitment by you, to do the exercises, and range of motion stretches prescribed by your physical therapist or doctor. If you dont do that, you will not recover completely. I knew that going in as well. Dr. Hartshorn made sure I knew that this was not going to be easy, or fun, but it (the PT and stretchers) was absolutely necessary for fast recovery and the best possible outcome.Without question or reservation of any kind, I can absolutely say that if you are reading this because you have injured your shoulder, and are at the point where a solution other than you just roughing it out is necessary, and you have found Dr. Tim Hartshorn, Your are one fortunate individual. It is my belief that you will NOT find a better physician, surgeon or human being than Dr. Tim Hartshorn. Congratulations, and rest easy. You are in the right place. For those wondering why, 2+ years later I might be here writing a review for Dr. Hartshorn, it is really simple. I have since injured my other shoulder, and have been in the care of a doctor who was prescribed by workers comp out here in California. I am miserable, I require surgery and I decided to reach out to Dr. Hartshorn to see if he would be willing to look at my MRI and perhaps give me a recommendation for surgeons he personally knows and would comfortably recommend out here in Cali. Well, being the rock star that he is, as I mentioned in my first paragraph, Dr. Hartshorn called me directly himself. Not his staff, or some mouth piece like I would have expected to hear from out here, but he himself. I was actually not surprised to be honest, because that is the kind of doctor Tim Hartshorn is. Like I said Boston, consider yourselves VERY fortunate to have this guy in your wheel house. It does not get any better than him.I wish you well on your treatment and recovery, but have no doubt that you will be just fine.THANK YOU Dr. Hartshorn. THANK YOU.
