I feel like this is only convenient if your car isnt too dirty because the machine only cleans a little from outside and all the detail from inside you do it.
Was there Sunday night and it was slammed!! Decided to try out Soapy Joe’s for the first time and the wait was long but it was worth it. I went out to vacuum and there were no towels, asked an employee named zolie and she was great! She returned with a bucket of fresh towels, she was extremely friendly and made sure we were satisfied . The service was 10/10.
Today was my second and will be my last disappointment because never going back!! The other day car wash was only working on the left … right side was not working and my car was dirty from the right side and they didn’t return my money or gave me a free wash… today machin broke and had everyone waiting for a long time without saying a word!! At the end they close the machin and told us to leave no Apology no nothing!! To bad even that I have been going there to service all my vehicles for many years, I will not go back!!!
My daughter loves going here for the lights. We use to have a monthly subscription for 2 vehicles but every month they charged us for 3 vehicles. We tried to cancel the third subscription and it took awhile. We ended up canceling all subscriptions because we werent going enough to justify having it.
Never been there but seemed all my neighbors within a few days of each other raved about the monthly club and self-vacuuming. Then I handwashed my car. Then they shut up. Im sold on Soapy Joes, though. Imma schedule it in after the New Year. Maybe Easter.
The staff is always giving the best customer service. I been a member since June and it has been a great experience. For 15 dls I was able to wash my car in one of their +10 locations as many times I wanted. They provide towls and give you a free air freshener.

They didnt tighten the oil cap on my Infiniti q60. Needless to say if fell off on the highway. A bunch of careless kids. Get your oil change somewhere else. They didnt even try to make good. Barely reimbursed tow charges. No inspections, no cleaning under my car. Its a freaking car wash. Their corporate office are robotic a--holes.
A little unorganized and confusing but hopefully in my next visit things look and get better. No towels to dry and not enough room to vaccum your car. Could be a lot better but the architecture who designed this place was probably high.
I always purchase the $20.00 car wash but the facility manages to give you the basic wash. Not good... keep an eye on the monitors to the right before entering the car wash, make sure youre getting what you paid for.
Been going for years. Seems like nowadays it breaks down and slow with long lines. I think the Bonita one is more newer and cleans better. The cute lights at Bonita are brighter. Just wish the fans at end were longer at all soapys.

I have to admit I am not a fan of washing my car but Soapy Joes does make it easier and I should definitely be taking advantage of my monthly plan. 😅 I definitely recommend.
I cant belive this place,and i cant understand why so many people come here.This is by far the worst car wash i have ever been on.I took my pick up truck with dust from 10 days of being parked near a construction site.I paid the full 20plus dollar to get the works and the car come up worse than it went him.If i had left it in the rain it would had ended more clean than it did coming out of their wash tunel.I got there on a Wednesday around 2 in the afternoon i had to wait 15 minutes for the line to move,after that the guys pre soaking the cars were not doing it,they had the wands on their hands but werent using them,them they wanted me to go forward almost on top of the car in front of me to what i refused because i had a few close encounters before on other car wash places,once inside of the tunnel the machine was not moving the long cloth strips and there were not any pressure on the water or soaps,they were just dropping, even the dryer area on the tunel stopped half way on my truck.Then when i got out there were not any vaccum slots open because everyone was cleaning and drying their cars.Again dont understand why people come to this place .i cant give them negative stars that is what they deserve.Lost my business for sure.Good luck to those who want their cars dirtier than when they got there.
Has one of the best wash machines out of all the soapy Joe’s locations. However the line can get pretty long as you’re in rush-hour and it’s hard to pull out onto the street seeing how busy it gets. The line gets gets so backed up that you can’t even turn into the parking lot which forces you to block a lane in the street
Her car way deals and love the 711 although 711 service can be better and thr wait csn be better

Bit of a bottleneck getting through the line, and it is painfully congested as theres a major street that leads up to it. Even so, the experience was fun and prompt. Definitely coming again to get my car washed.
The car wash machine here is kinda basic, it will knock the dust off your car and not much more. This location has a pretty big array of vacuum cleaners, but you will never find one unoccupied regardless of the time or day. I suspect people just pull up and start vacuuming without paying. This is made easier because of the fact that this location doubles as a 7-11 gas station. Which is why its always crowded. This place kinda sucks but its the only soapy joes in national city.
I love this place... gets my parents car CLEAN with one wash. If youve never tried them, following the car wash you there is a place to vacuum and dry your vehicle. Psst - the vacuum and towels are free

Clean place but busy. Also, the entrance to the place is a bit tricky. Lot is small, but its still best car wash. Clean rags at your disposal, every vacuum is fully functional. Staff is very attentive and friendly. Exceptional experience overall.

Super packed all the time. Employees should help drivers scoote up for the 2nd and 3rd pay stall so cars would be in street. But the Employees are busy on their phones or talking to each other about tick tock next to little office. Just an idea. The wash is good enough to just drive off. Always have clean towels.
Their carwash scratched my car very badly they have video evidence of it, which I saw very clearly, no scratches before the wash only after. I informed them, they told corporate and then they denied my claim, its on video and I have the evidence. Dont take nice cars here just beat up old taxis.They have the clearest evidence in front of their eyes and dont give a damn about their customers. If you like deep swirly scratches all over your brand new car then come to #soapyjoes disgusting!!!
Very well pleased. And will return OFTEN! Pil Change in 10 linutes....got the full package top of tge line car wash too. Not too much water to dry off so that was fine. Customer service was top notch from Alejandro & the gang doing the oil change to the delightful car wash lady attending my needs! 💯👍😉

I simply LOVE this place. I had to move to Riverside and I wish so much there was a place like this over there. The prices are great, the services, the vacuum cleaner, the towels, the accesible location, the machinery they have.. definitely the best in San Diego.Could you open up in Riverside or L.A???

A few years back had much better service by attendants directing traffic to dry & vacuum. Now Soapy attendants are all by the entrance not helping much, talking to each other.
The monthly pass is in okay value and I wish they had a location closer to San Diego

Great service.Only beef...When your annual payment is due.They make you renew your account manually each year.I blocked traffic lanes waiting till they finally figured out my card wasnt charged and my account was frozen till the reauthorization of my card went through.
Excellent wash. Get the Magic Potion monthly deal. Worth every penny and you can get as many washes as youd like.

This place is a great location, close to the freeway, to wash the car...I have a membership BUT its crowded 90% of the times...no matter what time of the day you stop for a car wash.

One of the employees lied about how many cars we could use for the yearly membership. My boyfriend and I were told that if we purchased the membership through costco we would be able to use different cars with the card we were given. Once we went to get the first car wash one of the employees took the card and gave us a sticker for one car only. We tried explaining what we had been told previously but he wasn’t able to help. We spoke to someone in the office (who appeared to be the manager) and explained the whole situation and why were weren’t happy the first employee lied, if it wasn’t for what she told us we wouldn’t have bought the membership. He was not helpful AT ALL. We offered a description of the girl and to tell him the exact time and day we visited so that he could figure out who she was and confront her and take responsibility. All he said was that “he had 10 different girls working that day at that time” when it was clearly a lie. Poor customer service. We had to ask Costco for a refund and explain the situation to them even though they had no fault but still provided GREAT customer service. Never returning to this location.

This is my go to, car wash. Id came across it accidentally while shopping in the area. The people are very cool. And they put the suga shine on your tires.
12 months ago I went to soppy joes and a young man Selling a monthly service that promised that it was only for one monthMisleading customers, and 9 months later I was still getting the monthly fee deducted from my account and this made me really mad to the point that I stopped the charges and my support as well.Last week I was running around doing Errands and Since soppy joes was the closest Carwash in the area I had no choice but to take it there. This young man comes up to me and starts the selling pitch and I immediately told him to stop. I shared my experience and he said he could help me since customer service is their main goal . He then took my name and number and tonight he called me and gave me news that I was impressed. The young man name is Daniel Mendoza a great employee and as a business owner this type of employees are hard to find.Im taking the time to write this review since a business owner loves to hear they have valuable employees that love what they do and he was also able to bring a customer back!Thanks again Daniel
This is a well deserved review update for this Soapy Joes location. Thankfully, we live less than a 1/2 mile from this carwash and pass the intersection of Euclid/Sweetwater often so we can drop in if we see a short line or no line at all. If its long, we just return another time. Ive been fortunate to visit twice in a 4 day period and had less than a car ahead of me at the gate. Both times were past 7:45pm. The self-serve carwash stations were clean, all three lanes were open and working, the staff guiding vehicles into the wash was friendly, and all vacuum stalls were clean, in working order, and had sufficient washed microfiber rags to dry vehicles. This review obviously is based on the fact we were at the right place at the right time (non-peak operating hours). Were fortunate we can wash (or not wash) depending on how busy the carwash is. If you can avoid peak visiting hours, you should be happy with the cleanliness, value for the carwash (both single use & monthly membership), and their easy accessibility to the I-805 freeway. Great job Soapy Joes! Keep up the great work!
Need to move line faster
Got the Annual card for Fathers Day 2020. Lines were long, as expected. I got the 2nd level of wash, normally I get the lowest. Seems no different though.Didnt really wash that great. I must say. I had to spend more elbow grease than I wanted to or thought I would need to. Also, vacuums are ALWAYS clogged with something and it takes an Act of God to get an attendant.
Better than Wash n Go on Palm. Their manager dont treat customers like trash!

I have to say bringing back the black towels were a must. 50% of your clean car comes from utilizing those towels. I love that the vacuums are always powerful at this Sweetwater location. Staff is always great. Sorry I didnt take photos but I will next time. My Escalade ESV looks beautiful

This is one of the soapy joes branch that i go to alot. They have the friendliest staffs, esp Raffy (hope i spelled your name right 😂). For those who hasnt signed up for their monthly membership, you better do it now. Its really worth it. Btw i love the rainbow colors 🥰.. makes you feel theres a unicorn waiting at the end of the wash 😂😂😂
This specific location isnt my favorite. Ive used several others but left a lot of soap on my car which I had to clean off.As for the company, I really like it. I have the $20 a month package and can say its a good deal, especially since you can vacuum and wipe down your car with the provided microfiber towels. Ill keep my membership but just go to other locations.
🤔 🧐 I paid for the $35 package deal. The first time I used it I was not satisfied at all; lots of water marks very disappointed 😓 I went the next day to washed it again It came out better. The catch its unlimited wash and you get a car freshener. I will collect them and give it away as a souvenir to my out of the state family and friends since its says San Diego 😉

Service is very efficient and comes in handy but they can do better with the towels, changing them more frequently, and maintaining drying station a bit better, but other than that, great!
Excellent staff, very clean, their vacuums and drying rags are always great to have. Very fair pricing. This is the type of set up where the machine washes the exterior and we do the final drying, cleaning interior, etc ourselves. Great way to clean to great detail our own cars.
My car was rear-ended in the car wash by another vehicle Soapy Joes did not even send an attendant to see what happened. Deny all liability. Dont go to this place Superbad

I work night shifts, so I come here early in the mornings on weekdays and this is the best time to come. I have one of those unlimited plans and I absolutely love it. I have access to any Soapy Joes and I try to go once or twice a week. I especially love the self service as I get to decide how clean my car can be. The little air freshener makes my day, everyone loves how clean my car looks and smells. I will definitely continue to come back all the time!

Id always prefer a self wash because you can clean your car way better; obviously thats more work. For a one-time thing, a drive in is never worth it. The wash misses so much pollen here in California....But the membership? It is pretty great. Unlimited washes at any location. So you may have to go three times before the car is clean, but you can actually save a lot of money. For a good clean at a self wash at the lowest price would be around $15. For the same price, you could wash your car every day. They also have the clean rags for you to dry your car so you dont have water marks. And of course, free vacuums are always great.The staff are great at this location. Sometimes it is really busy and hard to use the vaccums; the wait can be up to 15 minutes.
Busy but affordable!
I love there no scratch system and that spray on wax always makes my car look so shiny. I love their automated system, and makes everything so fast and I never have any hassles with billing. You cant beat unlimited car washes when it is quality for only $35 a month !
Only two of four tires received tire dressing. About 2 out if 5 soapy Joes has that problem ugh!! I need to track down one of the workers to get dressing on the other two. Please fix the issue Joe. Thanks

I’m not going to bother coming back. Three times through the wash and still spots on my car? No single use towels because of corona but vaccumes that are used by different people every ten to twenty minutes with no one there to sanitize them? What kind of logic is that? Can’t give me a refund for my still dirty car because the transaction is pending? Doubtful. If google had the option to upload photos I would but I guess I’ll have to post them on yelp.
