Having struggled with major technical issues with my previous piano and dealt with the unresponsiveness of the store owner, it was such a contrast and a delightful experience to get my new Schimmel from Rogers Piano. Roger and Carol are very pleasant to work with, extremely knowledgeable about their piano inventory and the history behind each piano. From the shopping experience, to the purchasing, the trade-in and the delivery, the entire process is incredibly smooth. Roger even recommended the best way for the piano movers to enter the house without incurring extra charge on me, which worked out perfectly. Since the purchase Ive had couple minor issues with the piano. Carol is always very responsive, either offers suggestions right away over the text or schedule in-person service promptly. As an owner of an expensive instrument, it really gives me a peace of mind knowing my piano is in good hands of Roger and Carol.

There are singular events and conversations you hardly forget in your life when they touched you profoundly. Buying a piano at Rogers piano is one of those.I entered this store few years back, unemployed, an only parent with a musically talented teenager boy, both depressed due to life circumstances. I began to timidly ask if there was an inexpensive upright piano we could try. I felt so embarrassed when Roger asked what my budget was! I remember whispering You dont want to know.As my son began to play different pianos, Roger turned to us saying that my kid needed a much better quality piano. He added that it would have rather helped a talented young one getting the right piano than selling one to some wealthy people interested more in a high-end piece of furniture.He offered us a beautiful second-hand baby grand he had not yet put on the floor. I recently purchased my second piano from Rogers Piano and the experience was even better than my first purchase (which was also excellent). Carol approached my inquiry with a deep knowledge of the repertoire I have been developing, my skill level, and the character of the pianos themselves. This is the type of individualized thoughtfulness and deep knowledge that we all want from our doctors. After I tested each piano, I described my impressions to Carol and we discussed them - it was the opposite of high pressure sales. More like a knowledgeable friend guiding a new-comer. My new piano is phenomenal (a Brodmann PE 121). When it is time for a grand, I will be coming back to Rogers.

My experience started with a phone call to Carol at Rogers I was looking for a good quality digital piano to rent. Carol contacted me with several options. She was polite, well informed and accommodating, without being pushy or pompous as so many piano store associates can be. Her recommendations were helpful. Carol and Roger were both incredibly friendly, and went above and beyond to help me find the right piano. In my first visit to the store, I think I was there for over an hour playing different pianos, and they patiently waited the whole time, and gave me any assistance I needed. Carol also took the time to meet me during non-business hours a couple of weeks later to try some other pianos at their other location. This meant that I could try ~10-12 different pianos, and never felt rushed or hurried to make a decision. Once I had settled on the right instrument, the sale, delivery, and installation were all very smooth. I was very impressed with the level of service and professionalism, and would highly recommend them to serious pianists who want to take time to find the right instrument in a relaxed, no-pressure environment.

I recently purchased a 7 ft new grand piano from Roger’s Piano and had a truly marvelous experience.This was not an easy decision for me to make. I was replacing an existing much older baby grand piano which had served me well for many years, but I wanted the benefit from a larger piano as I find at this stage in my life I have more time to play.I visited a few piano dealers before Roger’s Piano and did not feel connected enough with the staff to make any decision. When I found Roger’s Piano all that changed.Both Carol and Roger, the owners, were readily available and exhibited in depth knowledge about pianos. They provided a very personal service. Roger’s Piano has two locations, one in Wellesley and the other in Burlington. I visited both locations and tried several pianos during multiple visits. At the Burlington location I was able to see Roger restoring older pianos and appreciated the fine quality of his work.I was impressed by the wide variety of makes on display, and was able to try out many pianos. In so doing I learned what was important to me. Even though I am not an advanced pianist, I could appreciate the great differences between pianos. I found that even pianos of the same can be very different. Despite multiple phone calls and visits I never felt any pressure or impatience from Carol or Roger. They were just there to help me. They let me proceed at my own pace, answered all my questions, and always made me feel totally welcome. Eventually I showed up with my wife and dog, and they too were made to feel welcome!After much thought, debate and encouragement from my wife, I settled on a totally unbelievable piano which I have long coveted but never thought I would own. Carol and Roger did not push me in this direction and were pleasantly surprised by my choice.Roger’s piano has much confidence in a particular piano moving company and within a few days of my decision the new piano was delivered, and the old baby grand was taken away. The delivery team was superb and took great care during the process.I cannot recommend Roger’s Piano highly enough and look forward to Carol and Roger providing the first tuning of the piano in a few weeks, even though to my ear it is perfect. I am quite confident that Roger will tell me it needs tuning! I know they will always provide any support or advice I may require. I strongly urge anyone looking for a piano to visit Roger’s Piano.

I am a conservatory-trained pianist and was looking specifically for a Fazioli, which in my opinion is the best piano in the world today. Rogers Piano had a magnificent and rare Fazioli F228 in pyramid mahogany on their showroom floor. It was gorgeous to look at and as fine an instrument as any piano I have ever played. I must say I was tempted by a Bosendorfer they had which had a wonderful sweet sound, but I was intent on a Fazioli. I bought it on the spot. About 3 weeks after delivery, Roger and Carol personally visited my home (about a 3 hour drive) and Roger spent the entire afternoon tuning and re-voicing for the room. As a result, the piano feels and sounds as if it were ready for a concert at Carnegie Hall, except it is in my own living room. A photo is attached. Roger and Carol really know pianos, they were extremely accommodating and professional, and they sell some of the finest pianos around. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants a fine instrument.

The Steinway L was delivered to my home today and my old piano retrieved. THANK YOU so much for the magnificent piano and the awesome bench provided that goes perfect with it.Wishing to upgrade my instrument and Rogers had a fantastic collection from which to choose.His knowledge of pianos and skill at restoration is far above others. I couldnt go wrong with this beautifully restored Steinway, it plays, sounds, and looks fantastic! Hearing me and my husband talk about it, Roger and Carol came over and offered us the deal of a lifetime that we couldn’t pass up! As a tough critic who pays attention to details myself, I cant recommend Rogers Piano enough. When I first sent an online inquiry, Rogers wife, Carol, not only responded, but she called and invited me to the store for a private appointment. Her knowledge of piano makers and the piano industry is impressive. She took the time to get to know me and I never once felt rushed. After a visit to both store locations, I found the perfect baby grand piano to fit my needs. With an inventory as broad as theirs, I felt no need to look any further. Moving the piano into my condo was proving to be tricky, but Carol and Roger both came out to my home one evening to measure and determine the best method of delivery. The piano company they used was also beyond impressive. I couldnt be happier. The service that Roger and Carol provide, even after my purchase, continues to be outstanding Please, check them out. TL; DR: A few months ago I bought a grand piano from Rogers Piano and it was a great experience. Rogers has a diverse selection of uniformly well prepared pianos and great customer service.For years I dreamed of getting a grand piano and spent years looking at used pianos and fixer-uppers via Craigslist and word of mouth, but was wary of the uncertainty and risk. One day I called Rogers Piano to see if it was even possible to purchase a new grand piano at a reasonable price. Carol, co-owner of Rogers Piano, was very helpful, and pointed me at several brands, including Ritmuller, Kawai, and Brodmann. After some research online I decided to go to Rogers to play some of these.The first great thing about buying a piano at Rogers Piano is that they have a very diverse selection. Whereas most other dealers of new pianos have only a small number of brands or even a single brand, the showrooms at Rogers had Schimmel, Bosendorfer, Hamburg Steinway, Brodmann, Ritmuller, Shigeru Kawai, Yamaha, Fazioli, and others. Roger also took the time to give me a tour of his Burlington workshop where I had the opportunity to try a number of restored pianos including a great Steinway M he was in the middle of working on. The diverse selection means that you can play a $20k piano and compare it side-by-side with an $80k piano, which really helps to refine your decision.The second great thing about buying from Rogers Piano is how uniformly well-prepared the pianos are. Every one of the pianos on the showroom floor was not only in tune, but also perfectly regulated with a responsive action that I really liked.The third great thing is their trade-up policy which allows you to trade in your piano for another one at twice the price or greater. Other dealers have similar policies, but the real advantage at Rogers is that it builds on the other two points--if you do decide to trade up, you will have 1) a great selection to choose from and 2) you can trust that the piano will be prepared to your satisfaction. All three of these work together to take a lot of the uncertainty and risk out of a big purchase.I ultimately decided I wanted to buy a Brodmann PE187 (62) grand piano. Rogers actually had only the PE162 (54) model in their showroom and there were no PE187s available in the USA at that time but I liked the Brodmann tone so much, and--this was key--I trusted Rogers preparation of the pianos so much that I offered to buy the larger PE187 sight unseen if they could work with me on the price. They came back with a great deal so I went for it. This was in March 2020, just as COVID-19 quarantines were starting, and due to the uncertainty over when new Brodmanns would be arriving from overseas, Rogers allowed us to put down a smaller than usual deposit, which was much appreciated.Finally, this is where Rogers really went above and beyond: after a three month delay due to COVID-19, Carol and Roger went back to the manufacturer and negotiated on our behalf to get us an (already available in the USA) Brodmann PE187V--same as the PE187 but with a carbon fiber action. The piano came in and we couldnt be happier. Roger just did our first tuning (included in the price) and the piano sounds beautiful. Highly recommend.

Just a quick note to say how helpful Roger was with the sale of my Yamaha Disklavier baby grand. I live in St. Louis and I found Rogers Piano on the internet. Roger himself called me from Boston and spent a good 15-20 minutes on the phone with me. His 30+ years of experience and confidence definitely gave me comfort in setting a price on my piano for a local sale. He helped me understand the current market, the consignment process and was transparent with the costs. I had a terrific experience. I had a slightly stuck key, 2 years after buying the piano, and Roger came and fixed it perfectly. I have been so happy that I bought my precious piano from them. If one is going to be locked down, its awfully nice to have a piano that sounds like a concert piano. Roger wore a mask and was meticulous. I was very nervous when I walked into Rogers Piano because I dont like sales people hovering over me or pressuring me into making a decision. Carol made all my worries disappear the moment she began talking to me! She was so obviously an expert and was able to point me immediately to the piano i fell in love with! However she also let me look at as many others as I wanted and play on all of them without any hovering or pressure. I would recommend Rogers Piano to anyone interested in purchasing a piano. I bought a used baby grand that is my pride and joy and I still rely on Rogers for my tuning and repair needs.

Last month, I bought an extraordinary new Brodmann CE148, their 4’ 10” conservatory grand from Roger’s that sounds and plays beautifully and large. I went to them because I had a piano problem: I didn’t have a playable grand. My lovely 1963 Baldwin M needed new hammers, regulation and voicing after a bad run-in with a dubious piano technician - an expensive proposition. Or I needed a new, better grand on my non-Steinway budget.Carol and Roger were wonderful, educating me about both their new and used grands; I played them all, seeking just the right action and voice. I zeroed in on the Brodmann, first because they feel and sound incredible, second because of their high-quality design, components and finish and third the great price. I fell for the CE 148 at first touch, such amazing tone and touch. Additionally, I wanted to buy from a shop that could provide excellent service with bona fide technicians, and, well, Roger and his crew are just the best.So, I just bought it. And their trade-up policy gave me confidence in the large purchase.I couldn’t be happier with the Brodmann and wouldn’t trade it for any other piano.I’ve shopped every piano store in the Boston area, and Roger’s is the best.

On Sunday, we upgraded to a beautiful Schimmel grand piano at an incredible price. Carol was fantastic to talk to and helped us pick out this wonderful piano. We couldnt be more thankful for having the good fortune of purchasing a grand piano from Rogers Piano our daughter. We never expected to find this quality at such a reasonable price with the level of attention we received from Roger and Carol. We had several months of research behind us and we had spoken to nearly a dozen dealers across the Northeast and Midwest before calling Carol in Natick and meeting with Roger in Burlington MA ((I hesitate to call Rogers Piano a dealer - as Roger is more accurately described as a consultant). Roger offered new and restored piano of the highest quality (including restored Steinway from NY and Germany. While the new Schimmel pianos from Germany offered outstanding quality we decided to purchase a beautiful, and completely restored Steinway Model A (c. 1898) with original soundboard. They were extremely patient and generous with their time and truly wanted our family t be happy with the choice. Our daughter has hardly stopped playing since the piano was delivered in beautiful condition; and months later she still says can hardly walk by the piano without wanting to play. Highly recommend! I purchased a new Kawai digital piano from Rogers Piano a few months back and have not been disappointed. I interacted primarily with Carol who was super helpful in helping me determine the best piano for me. I was torn between a few and she ended up recommending one that I hadnt even considered but ended up being slightly cheaper and actually a better fit for my skill level, goals, and frequency of play. They coordinated the delivery and set-up which went incredibly smoothly, and Ive absolutely been in love with the piano. Fantastic quality and sound. Cannot recommend this place enough!

If you are looking for an amazing piano and a great price with the most helpful service, this is the place for you. We wanted to buy a piano for our daughter, because she has moved beyond using our electric keyboard. We werent sure what to expect and braced ourselves for pushy sales tactics. But that isnt want we found at Rogers. Instead, both owners were very informative, but then let us make our own choices at our own pace. We ended up very happy with our choice (and have had no buyers remorse!), and grow happier and happier each day with it. Our piano-playing daughter *loves* it, my husband (who plays a little bit) also has started up again, and even my violin-playing daughter cant keep away from picking out pieces on it! In addition, the folks at Rogers have bent over backwards to accommodate us and help us keep it tuned. (Also worth noting, the delivery service they picked was on-time, didnt damage the piano or anything else in our house, was quick, and very courteous.) All in all, we couldnt be happier!

We recently bought a Steinway from Rogers and could not be happier with the piano or the service we got from Roger. He patiently went through all of the various choices available for our new piano, noting the pros, cons and tradeoffs for each one, along with discussing the price/value aspects of each. Once wed made our choice, Roger also ensured a seamless delivery and set up, as well as initial tuning and advised us on how to monitor humidity to provide the best environment for our instrument. We were thrilled with the experience and could not recommend Rogers more highly.

When it was time to upgrade my sons instrument, I was dreading the experience as buying a piano is notoriously stressful. What type? Size? Price range? Sound? Our piano teachers recommendation differed greatly from the recommendation of our piano tuner and friends. It wasnt going to be an easy process...I am so pleased to say I was wrong. I had a very good experience at Rogers Pianos. Carol and Roger were very knowledgeable and not pushy. They guided me to the pianos to try based on what kind of sound I wanted and helped me narrow down the different piano choices. I was able to play the different pianos and compare sounds, it was also helpful when they played the pianos for me to hear how they sounded. I ended up buying a Ritmuller and am very happy with its touch, tone and how it looks in my home. I thought a nice perk was having their piano tuner come out for free for the first tuning, he did a good job and he is who I will call for future tunings. Roger and Carol redefine customer service. I didn’t even purchase a piano, and they were incredibly helpful to me. After my old piano had been restored by another company, I asked Carol to provide an objective evaluation of the work. Both Roger and Carol came to my house within a couple of days of my request. They were thorough and detailed in their inspection, explaining things and answering questions along the way.While they were in the process of putting together the report, Roger and Carol were easy to reach by email. They never made me feel like I was bothering them.The final report was impressive and detailed. It was several pages long, clearly and intelligently written. Photographic illustrations were included to enhance the report.I was so happy with the final result. It was much better than I had hoped for.

Carol and Roger provided us with a perfect experience. We have always been in places where weve had a piano (growing up, in school, in condo buildings, etc.), but we recently moved to a house and, with a young son, decided it was time to buy our first piano. We found Rogers Piano because it was one of the closest stores to us. We werent sure what piano would be best for us, and during our first visit, Carol gave us an excellent tutorial on pianos without any pressure to buy. We were also thinking about a piano with the latest technology (ability to play itself, record, mute, etc.), and they were completely up-to-date on all of the newest options. Beyond being knowledgeable, they were also very warm and friendly--both to us and our son.After that initial visit, we investigated a number of options online, and Rogers Piano prices seemed as good or better than anything we found elsewhere. We went back in for a second visit, and we happened to meet the Yamaha sales representative at that time. We decided on a new Disklavier E3, and thanks to some help from the Yamaha representative and a special sale, we got what we believe was an excellent price on it.It has now been one year since our purchase, and we truly couldnt be happier, either with the piano or with Carol and Roger. We dont typically write reviews, but we think this experience deserved to be told. We have recommended others to Carol and Roger, and they have been equally happy. Yesterday we had a piano emergency. My daughter dropped her phone into our 90 year old piano and we could not retrieve it. I googled piano technicians and, given we were calling at 5:00 on a Saturday, I was less than optimistic someone would be able to help me within the week. We were fortunate enough to call Rogers Piano. Roger, who owns the store with his wife, answered the phone. I explained the situation and he said he would drive over that evening after they closed shop. Unbelievable! This is the beauty of locally-owned small businesses. Roger not only showed up on a Saturday night to extricate a teenagers cell phone, he looked over the piano and made some great suggestions that had never occurred to us. He took the time to explain the inner mechanics of our piano and how to better maintain it. He went above and beyond our expectations, especially given we had not purchased our piano from him. I will be calling Monday to schedule a tuning!

Roger recently delivered our Baldwin L after an extensive refurbishment and addition of a Piano Force player system. What a fantastic job he did on this older piano. The workmanship of repair, cleaning and installation of the player is top notch, no detail was spared. Roger personally set up the piano for us after delivery and made sure every aspect was in order. I visited Roger’s piano over a dozen times over 4 months, while a room in my home was getting prepared to fit a baby grand piano. Roger and Carol were ALWAYS kind, patient and professional as I tried many different pianos. I am not an expert pianist by any measure, but they treated me like the pianist I hope to be someday. Roger visited my home and made measurements, and he recommended a piano that not only sounds fabulous, but also made the room look spectacular. I went to Rogers piano to see if I could purchase some piano wire to make a rope splicing tool for my arborist ropes. Roger brought me up to his repair department and generously gave me more than enough wire so I could make my tool. The instant I walked in the door, I was greeted and welcomed by Roger. Great buying experience. Roger came to my house and evaluated the piano I had and worked out an excellent trade on a piano he had in the store. Stayed open late as I tried out several pianos that were of interest. Large selection to choose from. Moving company he uses really was professional and delivered piano I bought and removed my trade in under 30 minutes and used extreme care. Technician is coming next week to check everything and tune again as part of post purchase service.

Buying an acoustic piano was on our list for last 2 years and we casually walked into Roger’s Piano on Route 9 over the labor day weekend. We had a very good experience and we saw a large selection of various price levels. We ended up buying a piano that was a little bit over our price range, but Roger explained in greater detail what sets this piano apart, and the sound quality was good. I was recently inspired to take up piano again after not having played much for ~15 years. Going to Rogers Piano was a wonderful experience for selecting my pre-owned Wilh. Steinberg upright for my first home. They allowed me and my husband the time to look and test the piano even though it was close to closing time. They were very nice and great to work with. The quality was exceptional and they easily fixed a couple of minor issues before delivering it to our house. It sounds wonderful and looks great now that it is in our home.

We purchased a rare Hamburg Steinway Model B from Roger and Carol and took delivery just before the holiday season. Rogers Piano is one of very few elite piano dealers in the US that specialize in having Hamburg (European variant) Steinway models in their active inventory as Steinway and most piano dealers only sell New York based models domestically. The differences are remarkable and well worth the extra $$$ for the Hamburgs! Anyway, back to the store review...We found the sale / purchase / delivery / installation and setup processes to be highly professional and flawless. We visited twice and played several pianos before making our decision. Roger and Carol are both very nice and professional in their demeanor and execution of their individual tasks with a strong focus on providing high end customer service and follow through. Rogers strengths are rooted in his expertise with the technical/engineering details whereas Carol finalizes the business details that complete the deal, scheduling and execution. We recently had Rogers Piano install a computerized player system in our August Forster 64 grand piano. We live in Ct and researched dealers of systems in CT and NY and decided to hire Rogers. Our decision was based on his knowledge of both the quality of our piano and the PianoForce system. Roger is a true piano professional. He has installed the system tuned and regulated the piano and has returned it to our home. Roger kept us informed by regular email concerning the progress of the installation. Roger and his wife showed us how to use the system and supported our questions after it was delivered to our home. When we selected Rogers piano we thought we had found a real professional, after installation I can confirm Roger and Carol are true professional piano and piano player system experts

Both were magnificent, and I never felt pressured to purchase the more expensive one. Roger showed some flexibility on the price and delivery options and they made the deal work. They have followed up a few times to make sure I’m happy and they will be out to tune it in in a few weeks.Roger and Carol really love pianos, and when you visit you get the attention and expertise you can’t find in a big box store or online. This spring I went piano shopping on line and came across Rogers Pianos. I was initially focused on a used instrument, particularly a Yamaha, as I had played these for many years and was quite accustomed to them. At his showroom, Roger took the time to explain the pianos he had on the floor in great detail and invited me to play all that I felt would be in my price range. After a couple hours, I kept coming back to a Heintzman 56 168 that was hands down the nicest instrument I had tested. I settled on an ebony model that was still in the box from the factory after Roger assured me it would be delivered to me exactly as the model I played on the showroom floor. A few days later Roger called me to explain that after taking the piano out of the box and having his technician work on it, it was discovered that there was a manufacturing flaw in the action of the instrument that could never be satisfactorily repaired to the point that he would be comfortable letting it out of the building. He offered me the model I had played on the floor, a beauty with a polished African mahogany case, for the same price as the ebony model. Deal. The piano was delivered as promised, set up and later received its first tuning by his technician. It is a superb instrument, beautiful touch and tone and I could not be happier with the acquisition of this fine piano. I would recommend anyone to Rogers Piano without hesitation for his knowledge of pianos, attention to detail and exemplary customer service and follow-through.

I had a wonderful experience with Rogers Piano. I bought a used Yamaha P22 (only $3,000 value) at their store back in September. Its my first time to own a piano and Im still learning to maintain it. Although I have very little knowledge about pianos, I have quite sensitive ears. Roger and his technician gave me three tuning in two months after I bought the piano. The first time was regular tuning after the purchase. I had a few keys making squeaking sound not long after the first tuning. Then I called in and Roger came to my house himself. He did a wonderful job fixing all the squeaking keys. Recently, after having the heat on for a while (which might affect the humidity), I detected some keys on my piano started making unpleasant sounds. So I called Roger and complained about it. This time Roger and Carol showed up at 7:00 pm after they got out of work. They spent almost an hour examining the keys I complained. Although Roger didnt think those keys were out of tune, he still tried his best to tune them as I requested. I cant thank them enough for making all the trips to satisfy a customer like me who has little experience about pianos but very sensitive ears. I highly recommended this store to anyone whos not only looking for a large selection of pianos also fantastic after-sales service.

I nicked the cover of my upright piano that I had bought from Rogers Piano the previous year. When I purchased my piano, Roger showed me some of the repair work being done in the shop. Now was the time for me to call Roger and and ask whether it could be repaired. I exchanged photos of the damage with Roger. Hoping for the best and expecting the worse I waited for the call. Roger called and scheduled the repair. The piano cover repair looks great!

We bought a used Yamaha U1 piano. Having 2 young boys its important for me that the piano cover has slow close mechanism but the used U1 doesnt come with it. Carol and Roger researched different options before finally finding one that worked for my piano. Unfortunately the installation wasnt as straight forward, and Roger took the time to make special adjustment so the component to make it work. The amount of customer care they provided is phenomenal. Other store would have just said no to my request.

After speaking with Roger over a period of several months, I decided to consign our fine Schimmel grand piano with his shop. The piano was purchased from a nearby shop in 2004, but they have since gone down market and I was not comfortable consigning a fine instrument with them.I expected the process to take several months at least. So was amazed that Roger sold the piano in a few weeks time - probably some luck involved in that, but still quite an accomplishment.I found Roger to be thoroughly professional and helpful in all aspects of the transaction and appreciated his prompt payment for the instrument.

He gave me a big discount on the one i wanted. He is very responsive whenever i call him. I love my piano for what i paid for. His technicians are very professioanl and cool. Im buying my second piano there.

He was so patient to show me how the system works, answered my questions, and he did a such great job to install the system on my piano. After the piano was delivered, Roger already made two visits to my house just to make sure the system is playing the quality to his standard.
