My friends returned home from college a week before showing up at this location wearing college merch and was able to sign up for memberships without questions. I was denied entry despite the fact I returned home from college in NY less than a week prior and tested negative a day before returning home. However I was denied entry on the because I was unable to provide a physical copy of my COVID test. As an Asian male, I felt like I was denied entry because of my skin color. Even if it wasn’t intentional, I do wish they would uphold the same standard for everyone.

Just walked in at 4 PM on a Friday to more than likely get a membership AND sign up for personal training. While a couple employees seem to be conversing at the front desk it takes a minute for me to be acknowledged. When I am, I inform the woman at the desk Id like a tour and to explore membership and training options. She tells me no one from membership is available but I can leave my email address and someone can contact me to arrange a visit some other time. I respond and ask so no one can show me around or talk to me right now? She responds with Im the only one here and I cant do it.”Look, I get it if maybe it was bad timing of not having someone from membership around (even though its still between normal business hours) but that was a terrible way to handle it. Maybe they arent membership experts but are you telling me there is no one in the entire building who could walk me around? There were two other people at the desk with her just hanging out. How about you offer me the chance to look around myself and then have someone follow up? What a complete lost opportunity for them. Was totally ready to commit but at the least show you want me here so I come back for an “official visit”. Membership and training business must be good to handle it the way they did... or maybe the total opposite. Ill look elsewhere.

I have been using the pool 5 days a week since January and the facilities, the staff and the members all exceed my expectations. The front desk is always friendly, the lifeguards are alert and smiling, and the other swimmers are friendly and welcoming. It’s a very positive environment with an excellent pool for swimming and physical therapy.

For me the equipment was fine and the pool was fine. What bothered me was the staff. They were rude and constantly yelled at everybody even if they were 2 feet away from them. The staff need to check their attitudes. And the rules. The rules were outrageous. There were some rules I could understand like dont run near the pool. Then there were others like you cant dive except on the diving board and even children cant change except in the changing room! And there were thousands and thousands of rules. I think that the staff of Longfellow needs to try out all of their rules an see if they actually need all of those. The kids have less fun and no one wants to have less fun! It was a one star and I would never in a million years come back.

The Instructors for the classes are 1st rate and the exercise classes are always fun The staff and the other clients make this a very welcoming environment. I have been a member for over 10 years particularly enjoy the classes offered by the club. Because the classes are fun, I exercise almost daily.

Natick Longfellow is extremely family friendly and offers a great variety of activities and facilities to support active families throughout the year. Part of the mission is to build community in and out of the club across generations. I feel no need to be perfect here, but feel 100% supported as a member and parent.

I have been a member at Longfellows, Natick for one year. In that time I have enjoyed using the many pieces of equipment in both their ground and upper floors. I have seen the equipment being serviced regularly. The pool is fine except for the extraordinary bad behavior of many of the children who break rules by running near the pool and other unbecoming behavior! I do not, as suggested by a prior reviewer find the rules outrageous. Rules are for safety reasons and should be adhered to thereby making daily trips to the gym pleasurable rather than an irritation! Many areas of the establishment has been updated such as the men and womens locker rooms, lobby etc.. I have always found these areas very clean before and after these renovations. A new space has been opened up on the second floor for yoga which I hope to join in the near future. The cafe is nice and clean with a good healthy menu.I have found all staff members extremely pleasant and helpful in the gym, reception and offices. In addition they offer extremely competent and diligent trainers. In summary, prior to joining Longfellows, I checked out a number of gyms in the neighborhood. In comparison they proved to be badly run, dirty and overpriced for what they were offering.

This club does not update facility, does not keep it clean, even after I specifically requested management to upkeep the women locker room in better condition. Frequently walking in to disgusting bathroom/shower conditions. The club does not hire more cleaning crew when it is busy time, so the locker room is filled with pool of water, clumps of hair, etc. There were times where they just put a yellow tape over broken tiles or broken shower heads for months. It also has inconsistent lap pool rules. My daughter and I were swimming laps, and were told to get out because my daughter was too young. However, there were other times we were told to only use lap lanes. It seems like their own staff need to get the rules right. After several embarrassing encounters, I finally decided that I will take my entire family to join a different club.
