I see lots of bad reviews here with very little understanding of extraordinary circumstances both mental and physical Healthcare facilities are dealing with mid pandemic. Yes, it can be frustrating to struggle to refill prescriptions and make appointments but the staff to patient ratio was tilted before the pandemic. (I say this on day four of trying to make an appointment)The staff is friendly, professional and trying their best. The worst thing I can say is that (as mentioned in other reviews) appointments are short, arguably too short to get much done in the way of mental health but Id imagine that can easily be attributed to the previously mentioned staff to patient ratio that preceded the pandemic. If you have good mental healthcare coverage than sure, go elsewhere but you also probably wouldnt be looking into the equivalent of a public defender for your mental health if that was the case.
STAY AWAY!!! Omni Community Health has caused me more harm than good. More than once I have been dropped by one of their providers and left with no medication. Going cold turkey off depression and anxiety meds is unacceptable. I was able to reach the C.E.O. Mark Just. He spent his time gaslighting me and blaming phone issues for their lack of care. Phone issues for 2 years?? He actually said if he could fix it he would but can’t just snap his fingers. He has the phone skills of a 15 year old, yes this is the person at the head of this mess!!! Unfortunately Ihave to see them due to my insurance. If at all possible please find a better provider. I’m in the process of speaking with the Tennessee Department of Health. These people are dangerous. STAY AWAY they cause more mental anguish than necessary.
My son was diagnosed in spring 2020 with depression. Our wonderful pediatrician recommended Lifecare. I wish she had not! My 17 son was directed to a young nurse practitioner. She rather quickly diagnosed my son over telehealth and prescribed meds. I was told because he was 16 he had to give permission for me to be involved. I felt the care was poor but due to insurance we stayed. Over the past 7 months I have had to make numerous phone calls for refills or any communication at all to be returned. The NP simply raised his med dosage with each visit and refills are almost impossible to get from Lifecare through myself or even my pharmacy requesting. Mental health should matter much more than this organization seems to care!! We are leaving them come Nov!
This place will ignore your calls (intentionally). They wont call you back for several hours (if at all). You can absolutely forget about getting in contact with the nurse, its never going to happen. And providers are late to appts that youre forced to make virtually during covid-19. A provider with first name Elizabeth decided that since i accidentally missed my last appt my prescription that is a controlled substance could not be refilled on its due date like it has been for the last 2 or 3 years. So for their 3 day weekend after ignoring all my calls all day before telling me so, i went thru withdrawal that they KNEW id have & refused to write a drs note that would have excused me from working 12.5 hr shifts at a hospital &then cancelled my appointment. And refused to let me transfer.
I was here about 13-14 years ago. They literally saved my life! Its so sad to see the comments and know the place has really seemed to go downhill over the years. I pray they return to the wonderful facility they once were. FYI, the counsellor who worked with me moved to her own practice. She never was specific, but was worried about how things were degrading there, did not want to be associated with a place that had lowering integrity, so she decided to leave. Now I see to what she may have been referring.
I just moved to town and needed a new psychiatry office. I have ADHD and have had it under control for many years so all I really needed was a med check. I went in and saw a provider, everything was great. She prescribed my medication and I went on my way. I made a follow up appointment in case the medication wasnt working or I needed to switch the dose. I have now been calling for two weeks to either reschedule my follow up or have the prescription faxed and have gotten one single callback in those two weeks. I have left countless voicemails and gotten nowhere. Ill be making an appointment with a new psych office.
They have been HORRIBLE to deal with. Heaven forbid you need a refill we are here a week later waiting on my husbands refill to be called in. I called and asked to speak to the practice manager and was sent to a voicemail that said it couldn’t accept any messages at this time. I had to get my insurance company to call them to get anything accomplished.
Highly recommend Leslie! She is great!!
I used to be a client here and my grandson was a client here. Overall the therapist were horrible. Case management Five Star All The Way. Front office, oh they were okay not nearly as bad as the therapist. If you can get therapy in one place and get your case management at Life Care that would be the best thing going. Now with all of that said its been a few years since weve had anything to do with these people. My case management ended in 2016 and I have a deal with them at all since. Things may have gotten better but from the reviews that I read looks like things may have gotten worse. Just throwing my little tadbit in.
If they could answer the Phone return voicemails 100% of the time, I’d give 5 stars.
This place is a joke. They are not helpful at all. They made my situation worse by giving my teenage son an excuse to behave badly. They lied about the services they offered. Dont make the mistake I made. Choose a different place if you need serious help!
I literally cannot stand this place. If you have an appointment, you have to wait at least an hour before you’re seen. Even if you’re the only person in the waiting room, you have to wait an hour or more for them to stop talking and actually do their jobs. The office staff is rude and won’t even greet you. They have a window that you stand at for 20+ minutes before they’ll open it and give you paperwork. Find somewhere—anywhere else to go.
They was very nice
