Monty’s in Donelson is my only stop for a haircut now. Both Jesse and Ashtin are absolute professionals, I have absolutely no preference which one cuts my hair. Aside from giving great haircuts, understanding how my hair works for me, individually, I believe a barber shop experience should have good prices, good conversation, and always include a shave for the back of your neck. Monty’s hits all of those to a tee. I’d highly suggest booking your next haircut here.

Great barber shop. Barber Jesse Mullins gave me a perfect cut. I gave him very specific instructions and got exactly what I asked for. The online appointment process was fairly simple and the shop was very well kept. If I travel to this area again and need a trim this is where I will come to.

I been wanting to try these guys out for some time and I needed a cut on Friday and they were open. I am glad I chose Montys I told Jeff that I am in the Military and he gave me an amazing cut... and when I told him I would like it to be skin... it was as soft as a babies butt. Montys offers a military discount as well... and thank you for that. Looks like Jeff made him a repeat customer..... see ya soon.

Just rude.I was in the area and walked in to check out this venue. First greet a got was “do you have an appointment”? Just flat out cold. Not hello/hi or anything. I proceeded to ask if anything open for the afternoon. She was just cold, her response was: nope, we booked.I just thank her for her time and walked out.Never gonna go here.

Been here twice now, let my hair grow out, so wanted some where better then the walk-in services. Found this place by chance. Jesse has been great the two times I have been, real casual feeling establishment. Price are very reasonable and the barbers/stylists are not straight out of school they have been doing this a while. I will keep going back, if you want to go, I would make an appointment. They stay busy and have a number of people walk in and have to be turned away as they are booked. They will not rush their clients because someone walks in off the street, they respect your time and give you the time you deserve

A great barber. Lovely people who know what theyre doing. If at all possible Id recommend booking ahead, but piping your head in the door is perfectly fine as well. Clean, nice vibes, good hair cuts, kind people, what more oxuld you ask for!?

Old school feel at a reasonable price.

Finding a decent barber shop without all the BS can be hard but Ive been to the Arcade and Donelson locations of Montys and both are fantastic.

Ashtin gave me a great haircut at a great price, and the shop is super easy to get to.

Went to Monty’s this morning. Passing through on my way back to Ohio. Very impressed with the quality work. Ashtin was very good, one of the best fades I have ever received. Check them out!

This was my 4th barbershop in Donelson/Nash area I have tried since moving here from Memphis 9 months ago.Blew the other three (rated similarly on google).Jeff was my Barber, and was the most professional yet easy going barber I have met. All while showing great hospitality and.. we idk what technique he used, but it was original, blew my mind, and was like a massage at the same time. My GF hates it when I cut my hair short, but she loved it!!!!Im told the other barbers are great too.

Son really likes the cuts he gets here & price is reasonable.

Best place I found for lowering the ears. One of the things I truly miss out on now that I dont live in Nashville anymore.

They only cut Caucasians,trimmed my hair against the grain an cut all my waves out of my hai an when I said something the barber took offense but they tried.......

I went in there with my fiance and she said she cant do my fiance hair cause shes a girl while going on about how she does all these other girls hair because they come in with their sibling worst place ever never going back their again
