Ive been using Bowtie as my main barber shop for about a year. I get a great, consistent, haircut every time, no matter which stylist I see. Ive been bringing my young son occasionally as well and they do a great job with him. Very friendly and accommodating. Very conscientious. They make sure you are happy. The shop is very clean. They have a super comfy waiting area with refreshments. This would be a great place for a grooms party to go before a wedding, or for a group of friends to gather for a trim before a prom. Excellent local business.

I needed a beard trim and the owner of Semper Slider highly recommended Bowtie Barber Club. Lucky for me they were able to skip me in between clients and now I have my nice shaped epic beard back. I can highly suggest if you are looking for a great barber / stylist with beard trimming experience, look no farther than Bowtie.****Update one week later. Everyone but more importantly my wife loves my beard shaping that I had at Bowtie. To bad I live in Boston.****

I used to go to Bowtie regularly when they were across the street until my barber moved to a new location... and then moved again but too far to follow. I tried Bowtie out again at the new location since I didnt have a go-to barber anymore and honestly I was blown away by how much its improved. The staff there is so incredibly friendly and I found a new go-to barber immediately in Ruth Ann. Beyond the whiskey offered and the nice decor, Ruth Ann was amazing. She was so sweet and did a fantastic job. Ive received a minimum of 3 compliments a day for the haircut she gave me and I absolutely loved it as well. I hadnt had a haircut in about 4 months but she really took her time and made me feel right at home. Im typically shy my first time meeting people but Ruth Ann was really great at creating a comfortable environment anyway. The haircut was great, the beard trim was great, the neck massage was great, and the staff was amazing. I wish I could give more stars.

EDIT: Was a 2 star review, now a 1 star review. I emailed the owner within about 2 hours of their comment requesting a follow-up with me. I waited for nearly a week for a response. Never have I received something so full of grammatical errors, but yet feel so copy-pasted. I responded back, asking how they could fix my bad experience. They never responded, and it has been weeks since. The people cutting hair are nice enough, but the owner certainly solidified my decision to go elsewhere.Ive been here twice. Once before the pandemic (which was great, and why I came back), and once again just recently.For my first haircut since COVID-19 started, I figured I would go back to a place that I liked.Yes, the place looks nice. Yes, there is ample parking now. Yes, all the staff were friendly.I went in for a haircut and beard trim. I showed an example of what kind of haircut I wanted (a faux hawk, roughly), and I explained that I was wanting to let my beard grow out, but wanted it trimmed and straightened out. I explained that half of my beard grows closer to my neck, and that she would need to comb it down to trim it evenly.When she was finished (I had my glasses off and cant watch in the mirror as she went), she said that I looked good as is. What she gave me was some hair-over-my-eye emo cut. Also, when I got home, I realized that she hadnt combed down part of my beard, so it was completely uneven... I had my partner try to even it out at home.It had already been an hour there, so I didnt really feel like trying to explain to someone that an emo cut is not the same as a faux hawk.Maybe if I had been in someone elses chair, my experience wouldve been different... But, Im not willing to pay those prices to try again.If you just want a haircut, just go to Sport Clips. If you want someone to professionally trim or style your beard, go elsewhere. And its really sad, I was really looking forward to the experience of going back to a good barber... :(

Great, friendly service. I am irrationally nervous about haircuts, but that was never an issue here. The relaxed, friendly atmosphere and the obviously expert care I received left me very glad I visited. Im even looking forward to my next visit. That, and my hair ended up looking great!While not overpriced, this place isnt the cheapest option. But if you get an $8 haircut.. youll end up looking like you got an $8 haircut. Bowtie offers a good price for a *good* cut.

Ruth Ann is the best!! I followed her from Whiskey Neat Barbershop (when it was open) to now Bowtie Barber. She consistently provides a top shelf cut which I always receive compliments from and, not to mention, she is the sweetest! I highly recommend getting the Premium Cut which includes a neck shave, shampoo, and complimentary whiskey for only $35! Everyone there is super nice and the spot is very homey and charming. I’m already looking forward to my next visit! Thank you!

I came to Nashville on vacation and wanted to get a relaxing, old fashioned barbershop haircut. Of the places I looked at, Bowtie had very reasonable prices. When I showed up they offered free coffee and were extremely hospitable. Ruth Ann is incredible. She is the sweetest lady to ever do my haircut. Not only was it the best looking fade haircut Ive ever had for my shortening hair, but she told all sorts of fun stories, played some gentle classic 70s songs (lightly sang some stellar harmonies), and gave me a wonderful, relaxing excursion from my day to day. I will definitely be back to this warm and classy place.

BBC, is a homie feeling environment, where you can have great experience to unwind after a stressful day of work. The staff was professional and personal as soon as you walk through the door. Ruth Ann was precise on my instructions on how I wanted my hair cut! She lived up to the expectation of the Bowtie Barber Club brand....I will be returning, 5star.

Loved that you can book an appointment ahead of time online or over the phone. The new location has better parking. Twice I was stood up on an appointment. All can can be forgiven, I know life happens but didnt receive an apology from barber. Im sure this doesnt happen often though. Nevertheless, great place.

I am so happy with the haircut my boyfriend received here. He was very impressed with the barbers skill and care. From meticulously shaping the edges to brushing stray hair off, the barber was very attentive to every detail. The techniques used to cut his hair were very impressive and my boyfriend thought it was his best haircut experience so far. I would recommend this place to everyone. As a bonus, they have a great coffee, tea, and juice shop next door that you can relax at while you wait for your appointment. Thank you for a great time!

The first time I went here was great the lady cut my hair just right. Last guy person didnt cut the back and top of my hair even. Only saw it was different after getting home to look closely in the mirror again.

I tried this place twice; the second time by accident because they moved and I confused it for another place. First time I went, I had to wait 15 minutes after my appointment time for my barber to show up to give me just a $10 haircut and shave for $45. The second time I also had an appointment, but they barber decided he wanted to go on his lunch break instead and asked someone else to cut my hair. She had an appointment coming up so she really rushed. She only gave me a rushed trim job, then told me I was done. I had booked for a haircut, beard trim and shave so I asked her if she would at least trim my beard. She did a very quick trim and a half @$$ shave. Took 15 minutes total. Paid full price after all was said and done. I wont mistakenly come back for a third time.

April was incredible. First time customer, not really sure what to expect, and she was fantastic. Fantastic positive attitude, took her time and I left feeling and looking great. I will definitely make this my new go to place.-Steve

I had a hard time finding a barber when I moved back to Nashville. Archery and Bowtie have taken incredible care of me everytime I go in there. Everyone is extremely personable and now how to make you look good. 10/10

My regular barbershop was closed today, and this barbershop was the only one open. I am impressed with their service. My barber was April, who was very knowledgeable, friendly, and an expert at her craft. She was very detailed and made sure I left with a high quality haircut. The place is very nice with an old-fashioned feel to it. Everyone was nice and welcoming. I will be coming to this barbershop again!

Best Barber Shop in town!This is a top notch Barber Club. Every time I go here, I am very well taken care of. They really put the client above anything else. Its nice to have a barber shop that takes its time to do a great job and really earns my business. If you are looking for a barbershop this Not the place. The atmosphere has completely changed since they have moved to a new location. It is geared to the Beauty and setup just like a hairsolan. The feeling of being in a barbershop is gone! Because of this and the fact my haircut was exactly opposite of what I asked for, I am giving a low rating. Not to mention my sideburns were cut uneven. Dont even get me started on the price! I will not be going back.

This place was ok, service was good but not a high end barber like I thought, just a place to cut your hair. If your looking for an old school shave and haircut there are better spots. If your looking for a fast/good haircut they would be a contender.

I asked for a fade and a bit off the back of the top. However, the barber took a one guard and went around my head, styled my hair and proceeded to snip what he thought looked too long. The back of my heads hair is still long and I don’t have a fade. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Worst haircut ever especially for $32. Highly do not recommend.

40 dollars for a haircut that honestly resembled sports cuts, I went back and one if the guys fixed it. I’m not sure what kind of vide they’re going for with the salon/barbershop but it definitely doesn’t work. Go to Monty’s 2 minutes down the street and pocket 10 bucks to get a much better haircut.

This barber looks the part, but the cuts leave you wanting. Went to these guys in a pinch (open on Monday) and despite describing & showing a picture to the barber, ended up with their interpretation.Thank goodness my hair grows quickly. Ill stick with my regular barber from now on.

Been coming here for over 2.5yrs and all the barbers are amazing. All of them know how to cut hair great and are very personable. I don’t have a particular barber, I have been cut by all the barbers and all have amazing style and are very professional.

Greg gave me a cut and a shave. Typically when your apt is running a bit late you dont give a place 5 stars but Greg was awesome and accommodating. I worried he might rush through some cuts to catch up but instead he continued to be a perfectionist and give each customer a great cut. I appreciate the effort greg put into his cut for me. Greg is truly an artist who enjoys his craft. Im a salesman and I talk all day so I dont care much for the barber shop chat but hes friendly enough to ask the usual questions then he dials in for a precise and professional cut. That service on top of a clean, classy shop setting with good vibes, I wont go anywhere else now. Shame there isnt 6 stars on here.

I have been to over 20 barber shops trying to find the perfect place that will give me exactly the cut that I want, most places either leave too much on or cut too much off and if I ask them to change it up mid cut there is definitely a sense of irritation, not at Bowtie Barber Club. The atmosphere in this club is perfect, the music is the perfect volume, the barbers are extremely friendly and they always pick up the phone. My barber Joseph, I have been going to him for a very long time and he is the best in the business, everytime I get a cut from him it is always the perfect cut, if I decide midway that I want to go shorter he’s already got me covered and gets the job done, he’s the man and keeps the conversation going the whole time! If you want the best cut of your life and to be in an awesome environment then swing my Bowtie Barber Club and give Joseph a call he will hook you up!

I just moved from Downtown out to the suburbs and was looking for a new barber. After doing my extensive research, this was the place that I decided to give a try, and I was not dissapointed. The atmosphere takes me back to my childhood when my Dad would take me to get a haircut, so Ill certainly return to get that experience again! Thanks for the cut, Elliot!

I had an appointment at 6pm for a regular cut, I wanted to add a beard trim but I was informed that there wouldnt be time as they closed at 7. My haircut was finished in 15 minutes, I was the only person there. The hot towel facial was cool and my haircut was decent but nothing special. They were having a special where the cut was only $20 so that was cool, I tipped 100%, I had planned on spending that much anyway so no big deal. The way this place is advertised youre paying for the experience and if thats the case, I paid for an experience that I didnt get.

Hidden Gem. A hair cut and a beard trim. Thats what I needed. Not a time hop into a classic barbershop. And this place delivered. A great cut, a taming beard trim, and knowledge as to what product I NEED (not what is on special). While I will likely pass on the membership, I will return for the skilled service. 4th time visiting Archery at this barber and they are the best haircuts I have had. Additionally, it’s nice to have some who gets excited as they are cutting your hair! I have thick “poofy” hair and she has been one of few who could tame it. Great service and environment.

Absolutely love this place, I typically am a walk-in so it varies on the wait. Which I’m okay with, however April is the best. She’s funny and gets the job done, because who likes to just sit there in silence and get their hair cut? Not me for sure, definitely recommend this place!

Just went in for the first time this morning and I came out a very satisfied customer! I will most definitely be back. They were busy from the moment they opened but that didn’t stop April from getting to me as quick as she could. I definitely recommend calling and booking ahead of time. April was incredibly friendly, down to earth and most important of all, gave a quality haircut! I’ve been all around Nashville for haircuts, and even paid twice as much for some than I did here, but none of them can even compare. I don’t often write reviews but Bowtie is worth trying yourself. My only caution to anyone reading is that I’d be prepared to wait. They are short staffed (as of writing this) and in high demand.

I called and got an appointment same day for a straight razor shave. Appointment was on time, and Greg was very professional. Great experience, from the pre shave and hot lather and towel on! Pretty good shave overall too. Did have a little skin irritation but that may have just been new or different product than what Im used to.

As a first time customer I was very pleased with my visit. The crew is friendly and skilled at their craft. Gregs barber skill is impeccable so its natural that Ill return to his chair, but I will not discount anyone else in this great establishment! Good cut if you can get into a chair. The place is chaos and not well executed at all. On my last visit there were 5 people working and no one in any chair, but I waited several minutes to check in and several more before it looked like they might get to my cut, so I decided to look elsewhere. Maybe theyll figure out the front of the house one of these days.

I heard a lot about Bowtie Barber club from friends, so I had to go in and check it out for myself. Awesome looking place - vintage decor, free Abita root beer on tap....just a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.My stylist was Jennifer, and she gave me one of the best haircuts i have ever gotten! She was a pro with the clippers and scissors, not to mention the great straight edge neck shave. It was about as high quality of a hair cut as I could ask for. After the cut I got a great hot towel and shampoo, and the head and neck massage was killer.A must try if youre a local in Nashville or even if youre here for a long weekend!

Got my first cut today and I see it being the first of many. I have seen some talk about the cost but to me solid craftsmanship deserves solid pay. I got a solid service and supported some people in my community and not a chain that is more concerned with quantity than quality. If that sounds rad to you, then you should definitely stop in.

Finally got a barber shop that can and will cut any and every cut anyone could possibly want, if you think Im exaggerating then come find out for yourself!!! I know I wont be wasting anymore time and money with anyone else ever again, hands down the best cut you will get from Nashville to Lebanon and most likely even a wider range then that. Come check them out, aint no way youll leave with anything except what you exactly wanted. See Greg if you can, he be doing his damm thing frfr!!!!!

Someone dropped the ball because I stopped in yesterday to ask if they did women’s hair and they said yes and I just needed my ends cleaned up so I scheduled an 11am appointment for the next day and when I got there I was told that my barber/stylist was running late. I thought ok it’ll probably be like 10 minutes or so. Half an hour later she shows up not realizing she had an 11:00. The trim was good and She apologized having not been told I was coming at 11 however they did nothing to remedy the situation so for that reason I will not be back.

Had my first experience here, today. Fantastic place to go. Knowledgeable staff. Got a perfect cut the way I had described it. 

A good barber shop is really a measure of the skill of the barbers and their ability to take what a customer says they want and translate that into what will actually look good on them. Ive seen a couple of the barbers move on to other endeavors over time, but Joy has been around since the beginning and I have used Audrey before she was out for a while with a broken leg. David started around that time and I have used him ever since. He is adamant about making sure you are happy with his work. I haven’t seen Tommy at the shop in a while so he may have moved on, I have not used Greg but they all stay pretty busy so I am sure he is very capable. The best part is their price. I like The Moose over off music row, but they charge twice as much and when cutting my hair and my 2 boys, that gets pricey. Oh, and my boys love the Abita root beer on tap.

The whole experience was not great at all. It was not worth the amount of money I paid.They prefer you to make an appointment, but if it was your first time you would not know that. Maybe learn how to accept walk in instead of turning them away. I would never return again.One of the barbers was in a rush to leave for the day and did not care about other customers.
