I sent them the following email. I thought I would post it here as well.:Just a quick note to let you know how pleased I am with the 35 mm slides from 1977 that you converted to digital format. Thanks for the hard work. I can now enjoy them.Great job. I will definitely be recommending Memory keepers to family and friends, as well as all of my future needs
I worked with Kelly on digitizing an 8mm film reel of my grandfathers and I couldnt have been more pleased with my experience! Everything from the initial phone consultation, to meeting her and seeing her workspace, breaking down the process, to the final delivery... she was personable, professional, and put me at ease with trusting her with a priceless family artifact! You can tell right away with speaking to her that she is passionate about preserving family memories and delivering a service that is top notch to her clients, along with her sheer knowledge of the technical aspects of working with all sorts of film and video mediums. Whether its 8mm film reels, slides, VHS, 8mm camcorder tapes, mini-DV, DVDs... there seems to be no limit in she and her business partners abilities to adequately preserve your priceless family memories! I will absolutely be using their services again.
Great work, caring folks! You can tell when you visit that this is their main business focus not an extra service add on!
Im so grateful that I had a friend recommend Memory Keepers. They simply did an amazing job on turning all of our old media into a digital format. I brought in dozens of VHS and Hi8 tapes as well as some old movie films. They even transferred some old audio tapes of family member interviews.Everything was put on a hard drive that I could plug right in to my computer. I feel so good that all of these memories are preserved!!Very professional service from Jay and Kelly. They were great to work with and the job was completed in the 2-3 week timeframe that they mentioned.
I have taken hundreds of reels of film and VHS tapes to Memory Keepers and have never been disappointed. I’m a huge stickler for customer service and Memory Keepers gets a 10/10 for their ability to always help and make you feel safe leaving your film and other family memories. THANK YOU!
I received outstanding service! Memory Keepers scanned photos, negatives and slides for me. They also transferred a box full of VHS and old camcorder tapes. Im very happy with the quality and Im glad this is finally off my to do list. Jay and Kelly are great to work with.
I have been going to memory keepers for years & always get exceptional service & top quality product. Have had all types of old films converted to DVD & old audio tapes converted to CD. Kelly has gone the extra mile to also help me with special projects... blending audio, video, & pics. Her expertise & recommendations have been invaluable in creating special family memories! Both Kelly & Jay really know their business. Thx for continued excellence.
I recently just got to celebrate one of the most important days of my life, my wedding. I was looking for a special way to commemorate the event and really decided that a slideshow of photos of me and my husband would be the best way to do so. I talked to many local shops that could do this however I was not sold and decided to do it on my own, that is until I happened upon Memory Keepers. After talking to Jay and Kelly I realized that they could actually complete the project that I wanted. Because they are a small business run by just the two of them they were able to put so many personalized touches into the slideshow that would not have been possible if I used another larger company. After showing the video at the wedding there wasnt a dry eye to be seen. I will be coming back for years to come. Thank you so much Memory Keepers!
Went in to have some tapes converted to files.Called a week later to ask about the tapes as we wanted to have them for a gathering to remember the passing of a family member.Guy on the phone could not care less and callously said to me “We are so busy we don’t have time for you. We haven’t even looked at your tapes yet.”I would assume that a place like “Memory Keepers” you would just be a LITTLE nicer and sensitive to people’s needs as you are handling their memories. By looking at the handful of orders on the wall shelf I can’t understand that you were too busy for a whole week to even review my order let some fulfill it. I was quoted “at least a few more weeks maybe, I don’t know”I decided that instead of going to a sad little shop I would just head to where they service professionals. I brought 4 tapes to PROCAM and they had them converted by the next day. Everyone was super awesome. Service with a huge smile. Prices were fantastic.Don’t waste your time, just go to Procam by Fox Valley.
I had all my Dads old slides put on a DVD so he could watch them. He was thrilled! Thanks Jay and Kelly! Great work! We have also had Memory Keepers put all of our family videos on DVD. They had started to deteriorate and I was worried I would lose all those precious baby videos of my kids! Now we have them forever!
This shop is great! The owners have been very helpful and knowledgeable in suggesting what I can do to preserve my familys old slides and movies. I like the fact that they do all the work at their Naperville store, instead of outsourcing my orders to another company. Ill definitely continue using this company as theyve earned my trust! I also enjoy supporting small businesses in Naperville!
Beautiful work on slides I converted, but the movies were terrible. I wish I had gotten a call as to how dark and bad the films were before they converted them and charged me a fortune. I didnt;t look at them right away, but am sorely disappointed. Had I known, I woulnt have done it. It seems like that would be the right thing to do. Perhaps no one watched them as it converted? Too late now.
Found this place online to convert old home videos to dvds as a gift to my parents this Christmas. Read the website, found it to be informative but rather wordy so I called for more info. Wasn’t impressed with the etiquette from whoever took my call but she answered my questions and confirmed they could carry out the project I wanted done in time for Christmas so I saw past the abrupt attitude on the phone. Store itself is a mess, stuff everywhere, but I get it, probably a busy time of year. A guy helped me place my order when I brought my tapes in and again I was kind of underwhelmed by the casualness. Felt exactly like taking my stuff to the dry cleaners, except here I was dropping off the sacred only copy of my child good memories and paying $250. Project completed in less than 2 weeks, no complaints there. When I went to pick them up, I noticed that They had the wrong name on the box, not once, but twice. Two different wrong spellings of my last name. Simple spelling error, sure, but it did make me think twice about the quality of work I just paid a pretty penny for. Also, I realized that they took each individual 30 or so minute film and put them on their own dvd rather than combine any of them to save me money. It’s $20 per dvd with one video to convert and an additional $5 for each film added to that dvd, per their website and the unfriendly conversation I had twice prior to placing my order with them. Rather than combine the footage to save me money and produce less DVDs for my parents to manage, they did each tape one my one. Maybe that’s something I should’ve clarified at the order time, but this certainly isn’t anything I’m familiar with. They’re the experts right? You’d expect them to be decent human beings willing to save somebody $100 if they could and go over stuff like that in case I had specific wishes with the way the footage was transferred. I have yet to watch the DVDs, but I hope the quality makes up for the lack of customer service and professionalism here. Bummed it didn’t go better, had tons of other projects I would’ve gladly sent their way.
Kelly & Jay provide great service. To be able to move old photos, movies, slides, etc. to a digital format is awesome!
Great work!
