After graduating college last year, I’ve dealt with my fair share of recruiting agencies, both bad and good. Unfortunately, I would have to put Theophany on the bad list. Things started out very well. I had applied for one of their postings on Ziprecruiter, and got a phone call regarding my application almost immediately. Kelly was very enthusiastic, walking me through their recruiting process and recommended me for not only the position I had applied for, but two other positions she felt would be a “good fit.” This was exciting, despite the numerous exams I had to take in order to prove I was good enough to be considered. After the exams she said everything looked good on my end, and that she would contact me when she heard back from each company. I waited. About a week went by and I reached out to her via email. No response. Another week rolls by and I try again. Nothing. It is now two months later and I have heard nothing more from Kelly or Theophany. It feels like I ultimately got my hopes up for nothing, and as I look at other reviews for Theophany, it seems that I am not the only one that was left high and dry. If you are looking for a staffing agency or employment firm of any kind to aid you in your job search, I strongly urge you look elsewhere.

I worked with Joy (one of the recruiters) for a position I had applied to back in December. She provided excellent communication, and professional service preparing me for my interviews. Her pre-interview advice was always right on and her passion for finding the right fit for her clients is apparent in her care and attention to every need and detail of her candidates. The staff at Theophany were absolutely amazing. I lost my job and was in need of finding the right position ASAP. Rachel at Theophany reviewed my strengths and really listened to what I was searching for. Long story short, they helped me secure my dream job. I would highly recommend Theophany Staffing. I cant speak more highly of Theophany, and of Joy in particular. There were so many things that I really appreciated about my experience, but what really stood out to me the most is what a personable experience it was. In our first meeting together, Joy really took the time to just talk with me, get to know me, and fully understand what I was and was not looking for with regard to my career path. I never doubted that she had my best interest in mind throughout my entire search. Aside from how hard Joy works to ensure that her clients are placed into great roles, shes also just an absolute delight - so nice, thoughtful and just an all around wonderful person. This whole experience really eased the stress of job searching (especially considering COVID was making job searches much more difficult). I would definitely recommend Theophany to anyone beginning a job search!

Worked with many staffing agencies in the past. This place is unprofessional. Contacted them regarding a posting, got a call back stating how awesome my resume and background looked so we set up a time to chat. In the meantime, I was asked to do several tests. All of this work only for it to be a complete waste of my time. Never heard back from anyone at all. Every staffing agency I’ve worked with in the past at least had the decency to let you know if the employer decided to go another route. Not these guys... they just leave you high and dry. If you’re looking to work with an agency, go through someone else. You’ll just end up wasting your time here just like several others have according to some of the other reviews.

Working with Lexy at Theophany Staffing was one of the greatest experiences I ever had working with a recruiter. She was helpful and responsive from the beginning of the process to my first day at a my new job. Couldnt be more satisfied with the entire process from communication to interview prep. I receieved a call back in March 2020 after I got laid off from my previous job. Joy from this company sounded very nice, pleasant to talk to and felt like she gave you hope to find a job. She told me there was an Aldi position opening and I would be a great fit for and I asked for my husband as well because he got laid off too. She said she would call him once she reviewed his resume. We both waited to hear back from her. I believe a week went by and nothing. Called several times and no answer or response back.GUESS WHAT!? She had the guts to call me back today 1/11/21 to let me know there was another position close to where I live and I would get first dibbs. I dont plan on responding back at all. This company along with there staff are unprofessional and leaves you high and dry until they need you again. Dont waste your time with this company. Go with a reputable one that cares about finding you a job.

I normally do not post reviews but i took time out of my day to do a zoom meeting for a job. If i did not meet the requirements it’s fine. What is not ok is that they didn’t even bother to let me know anything at all.I think being professional is letting the potential candidates know and give feedback!!!

I am currently working with this office. It has a week and my consultant has already provided me with an interview for a position I would love! The office is clean, professional, and is decorated in great style! When I had visited the location the staff was very friendly and casual (yet professional). Lexy has been awesome thus far! Worked with them for eight months and they never found me a job, I ended up finding one on my own. I was brought maybe five or six potential jobs the whole time I was there, and most of them were sales/marketing related, which I specifically told the rep I had no interest in, so I only ended up with one interview from them the whole time I used their service. The rep never got in touch with me to keep me up to date on progress unless I got in touch with her first. Not worth the time.

I am very disappointed with the professionalism displayed at Theophany Staffing. I have dealt with several staffing agencies before but none that are as unresponsive and inconsiderate. I was contacted by Theophany and had a great first impression of them. I was scheduled for an interview with one of their clients the next day. After the in-person interview. Theophany provided me with positive feedback from the client and told me they would reach out for next steps. Several days passed and I received no update, I had to reach out for updates and was given excuse after excuse as to why they couldnt contact me. All I asked was for clarification on whether the client was still interested or decided to move on with another candidate, a simple yes or no would have sufficed. After repeated attempts and a couple weeks I received no response and decided to give up. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate. They should have the common decency to provide a response regardless of whether or not it is a yes or no. There are better, more considerate staffing agencies out there.

Super friendly in the beginning. Set up phone call, interview with one of the girls there. NEVER HEARD BACK FROM HER AGAIN. I tried reaching out but just got ghosted. Super unprofessional. Thank you for wasting my time.

I hate to do it, but Im very disappointed. I worked with Theophany Staffing in Naperville, IL and they helped me get a great job. I didn’t have years and years of work experience. I am still working on my degree. As a matter of fact, I had been in the beauty industry a soccer coach. I was afraid that I would never get a real job. I would not have the job that I have today if it weren’t for Theophany Staffing and everything they did to help me. They helped me straighten out my resume. They called me with a couple great job opportunities. One was close to my house and one was a little far. Before I went out on the interview, she called me and gave me a understanding of the company that I was interviewing with. Additionally, she helped me with some ‘best practices’ type of advice. She made me feel confident and she told me that I was exactly what they company was looking for. And she WAS RIGHT! They hired me the next day. I feel like I really know the ladies in this office and I can promise you that they are energetic and positive and diligent, they are open and honest and they will tell you the truth. They paid attention to what I was looking for but also helped me stretch my open mindedness. Again, I say with 1000% confidence, go there, use them. They are the best and they really care about you and they want to help you get a GREAT job!

Calling our company to introduce themselves - I told the Theophany person that no one picks up for an introductory call - The rep said that was icky... Then gave me a name of an employee - I repeated that no employee takes introductory calls - She suggested I just not say what the call was - as if I was going to work with her, to get a call thru - When I said I work for the employees here - not for her - She got snippy, said I was rude - Even said I needed counseling!! Unbelievable how unprofessional a company can act...and I am not surprised at the low Google score.Update 8/19. One year later I get a response from the owner below, who suggests I must be mistaken. So, someone PRETENDED to be from your company, and called my company..being unprofessional and rude? Pretty odd hobby. And took a year to hear from anyone!

Very unprofessional! Would you like to have an interview and hear everyone else interviewing around you? 1 small crammed office, no private offices for 1on1 interviews, and 4 recruiters working in the center of a room super close together. I could litteraly almost touch the next person interviewing next to me. Heard the conversations of the recruiters, their phone calls, and other private information from interviewers. They also asked me to fill out a few long forms. I had to write my social security down, my drivers liscense number, past and current addresses etc.. seemed weird, as I wasnt hired for a job yet or nothing, so why should they just have this information on file??!!! Finally got super upset when my recruiter answered a phone call in the middle of my interview and told me to hold on. She was interviewing another person now on the phone DURING MY ACTUAL INTERVIEW!!! I felt akward and didnt know how to respond... was sitting there in silence listening to their convo amonst all the others... 10 minutes and she was still on the phone....RUDE!! I also thought it was wrong how open they were with exposing private info. I decided I wanted to walk out and leave. So I got up and tried to tell her, but she SHUSHED me with her finger and wrote down on paper IM SORRY so offended, I left. DONT WASTE MY TIME! POSSIBLE SCAM! RUDE! NOT PROFESSIONAL! YOU HAVE TO WRITE ON PAPER TO SAY YOUR SORRY AND YET CONTINUE ON THE PHONE..... RUDE!!!!!!!

I spent almost 2 hrs with a rep at this company for an interview a couple of months ago. Was told I was awesome and so was my resume I would be contacted 3 dys later for a client interview and the same day I was suppose to receive an email to take tests. Kept calling noone returned my call finally I caught someone never received the email nor a call back. Total waste of almost 2 hrs of my time. 8/11/16

Had a poor experience with Lexy Pronos, Recruiter. She just stopped responding which seems by reviews is a common experience here at Theophany Staffing.
