I used Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home for my Mother in 2005 and my Father August of 2020. Both were extremely well done. Our director Clayton was phenomenal. He was extremely compassionate, but also funny and had a great personality. There were so many moving parts, but they did an incredible job keeping it all together. They helped me to imagine all of the possibilities when I couldnt do it myself. Claytons follows through and execution were impeccable...and appreciated. I would absolutely use their services again, and recommend them without reservation.

As hard as it is to lose a family member, working with Ray Jones and his staff at Friedrich-Jones funeral home do a wonderful job of walking you through the difficult process of planing and executing a wake & funeral.Especially during those first days, when you are so emotionally raw, they are there to let you know that everything will be all right. There was great comfort given to my family knowing they were taking care and watching over my brother from the time he passed to the date of his wake. We often told my brother during his illness, you will never walk alone and because of Friedrich Jones, he was never alone and that made us feel better. The Funeral Director was very caring and so helpful. We enjoyed discussing mom, the arrangements and he asked about all of our family. I know enjoy is unusual to use to describe funeral arrangements, but he made it so easy and we were glad to talk about other things and have him answer all our questions. He did not rush us in the least. We were very comfortable and so pleased we chose Friedrich- Jones. Unfortunately, we all have to die so I am sure we will choose Friedrich-Jones again.

We laid our father to rest with the help of Friedrich-Jones, and were so grateful for and pleased with their professionalism, courtesy and compassion. From the moment we called, everything ran smoothly down to the last detail. John seems to have found his niche as a funeral director, as he was kind, genuinely sympathetic, and extraordinarily attentive. The rest of the staff followed suit, and everyone treated us with dignity and respect. Whether this should be expected from a funeral home or not, when grieving the loss of a loved one, youre just thankful when its the case, and Friedrich-Jones delivered. As a sad time goes, it couldnt have been better.

I used Friedrich-Jones for my mothers funeral who recently passed while in a nursing home. I sat down with them a couple years ago to make the arrangements. I wanted to be within a certain budget and they were very helpful in giving me a number of options to stay in my range. They were not pushy at all. I came away with a great plan that fit my budget with still a few options I could decide on.When my mom passed away, on Christmas day, they came to the funeral home right away - I didnt even have to call them.They handled everything - contacting the church, having the cards available, etc. The funeral went very smoothly - everything was handled according to plan - the casket, etc . They were very professional and handled EVERY detail - no surprises.I would definitely use them again and would definitely recommend them. This is a very difficult and emotional process - Im so glad they were there for me to handle everything!

After putting our grandma into hospice, we reached out to Stephanie and Dave Jones to discuss impending need of their services. They were extremely helpful, took most information over the phone in preparation and told us we got it from here ... and they meant it. We had buried our Father years ago and thought we knew how to plan a service, but Stephanie helped us Pre-Plan for our Mother and we learned so much from her. At every turn, this Funeral Home was wonderful. The man who came to pick up our Mother late in the night, was so very kind and patience; John, who directed the services, was remarkably compassionate and professional. First off I am not a direct customer, but I have attended multiple services at Friedrich-Jones. We had a great experience recently with Friedrich Jones in Naperville. Everyone including John & Mike (preplanning) made us feel at ease and lessened our anxiety. John guided us through the final steps for moms services (some of which were already planned). He reassured us that everything would be taken care of, even finding moms requested white hearst and it was. Everything turned out perfect. The music person helped us to find our playlist on Spotify. Mom looked amazing thanks to the hairdresser/makeup person and many others behind the scenes.We cant thank all if them enough for guiding us every step of the way. On August 29th, 2015 we lost mom to stage 4 bone cancer. Nothing will ever totally prepare you for something like this. Obviously our family was devastated and not thinking clearly. Friedrich - Jones was professional but treated us with such love and concern.The whole staff helped take away the stress of going through the wake/funeral part of when you lose a loved one. I called at 6:12 a.m. when mom passed and they were at the hospital 1 hour later. Our service had over 3,000 people and it all went very smooth. The staff that now our family calls our friends could not have done a better job. It is easy to see that they put their Heart and soul into each wake and funeral. Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home has facilitated services for three of our family members in the past nine years - the first time for our own daughter who was stillborn nine years ago, the second time exactly one year later for our cousins infant son who passed away in a home fire, and the third just six months ago for our step-father who suffered from early onset Alzheimers. Much like any death, each loss required a certain type of compassion and sensitivity to the grief surrounding them.The staff at Friedrich-Jones does a wonderful job of demonstrating this compassion and sensitivity, while remaining professional throughout. They are impressively in-tune with the needs of each family, which is essential in their line of work. They also recognize that the grief surrounding a loss does not end with the funeral services, by keeping in touch with the families that they have served in the year following their loss. They put together a wonderful luminary memorial service each November, for the families of all those whose services they have facilitated in the preceding year, and send Forget-Me-Not seed packets to those same families each spring. Doing this helps to validate the grief that follows the loss of your loved one, while also honoring their life.We highly recommend Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home. I have used the services of Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home in Naperville on two occasions. Because of their thoughtful attention, sense of compassion, and professionalism, I am happy to say that I had a great experience with them on each occasion.The first occasion involved the pre-planning for my Dad who had suffered a major heart-attack and was in declining health. Friedrich-Jones’ director of Pre-Planning Services, Stephanie Jones-Kastelic, patiently walked me through the various issues to bear in mind and the different options available in purchasing a pre-paid funeral plan, covering the anticipated costs of the funeral. A little more than a year-and-a-half later my Dad passed away. Because he was buried in another city, Friedrich-Jones did not handle the actual burial. Nevertheless, they helped plan a Memorial Mass for my Dad that was equivalent to a funeral. This took placed at St. Patrick’s Nursing Home in Naperville, where he lived after his first heart-attack. With respect to both the planning of the actual funeral and the subsequent ceremony at the nursing home, I greatly appreciated Friedrich-Jones good counsel, sensitivity, and attention to detail.The second occasion involved the pre-planning for my Mom who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and was no longer able to care for herself. She also moved to St. Patrick’s. Given my previous experience with Friedrich-Jones, I had every confidence that they would provide excellent advice and service in planning for my Mom’s funeral. I am happy to say that in making these arrangements they demonstrated the same professionalism and compassion as before.Planning for the death of a loved one and organizing the funeral for a family member who has passed away are things that no one looks forward to dong. With the help of the people at Friedrich-Jones these difficult things can be handled in a way that serves the needs of the family and does honor to the loved one who has passed away.
