My team hired VDA to help bid our and manage a small elevator modernization project at a commercial office property in Chicago. This was probably the best and easiest decision we ever made. This being my first elevator modernization project, I didn’t know what to expect. After speaking with a few consultants who were all more than capable of assisting us through the project, we chose to move forward with VDA because they focused on ensuring the property management team was making informed and thoughtful decisions throughout the process. We had the pleasure of working with Matt Jackson, the area manager for VDA. Matt walked me through the elevator mod and supplemental maintenance RFP process, reviewing the scope documents he prepared for us so I knew exactly why certain things were included vs. not in both scope documents, and what difference they make at the property level. He kept in constant communication with the management team and contractor throughout our modernization project. It was the smoothest construction project I’ve ever been a part of. We are so thankful for Matt’s expertise and guidance through this process. Highly recommend VDA and Matt Jackson. VDA managed the bidding process for a high-rise condominium building when we decided to change elevator maintenance vendors. They prepared the service agreement to be used in the bidding process, setting a clear and detailed scope to ensure we received apples to apples bids. After identifying qualified vendors and managing the bidding process, Matt helped us determine the appropriate vendor resulting in a savings of thousands of dollars for the Association. VDA also preformed a quality control evaluation prior to the bidding to ensure that our current vendor fulfilled their contract agreement and completed any unfinished tasks. We have also retained VDA to perform quarterly monitoring and management oversight services to ensure that our new vendor is fulling the new contract requirements. This has resulted in additional benefits to the Association. The Board is extremely happy with the new vendor and VDA’s value-added services.
