I completed a custom build and messed up the motherboard in the process. Adam upgraded the motherboard/CPU and now everything runs like a dream. Did I mention this was all done within 24 hours at an affordable price? DPC Computer rocks. Ill go there for anything else I may need and I recommend the same to anyone else that requires help with their tech. Would give more stars if I could :)

I needed a new laptop and an upgrade to my old pc in order to prepare to go off to college, I spoke with Kyler and he showed me around to their best laptops, specifically what would work for my college programs, and all the options were incredibly affordable, and the laptop I bought has been extremely reliable in speed and performance. And when it came to the PC upgrade it was done with extreme haste and ready before I had to move to campus.

Had an issue booting my newly built PC so I brought it in expecting to pay $30 for them to fix it. I had been having issues with the left side of my computer randomly going out and having to push the screen for it to come back in for sometime. I took it to Best Buy Geek Squad who told me there was nothing they could do an recommended I buy a new one even though my Dell was only 3 years old and there was absolutely nothing wrong with the operating system or hard drive. Then I went to another store Best Buy suggested who also told me there was nothing they could do. I am a law school student and a single parent. I cant afford a new computer. After much searching, I found DPC. I called and spoke to Adam who said he would take a look. As soon as I brought it in and showed him, he knew exactly what it was and how to fix it! He took it in the back and did a slight adjustment and then I ordered the replacement part I needed to bring it back for permanent repair when the part came in. The slight adjustment solved the problem! It NEVER went out on me again and it had been going out on me for months and during homework and exams! Then, I took it back for the part to be replaced and wouldnt you know it, NO MORE PROBLEM. Best buy couldnt figure it out, Dell couldnt figure it out, this other company couldnt figure it out and everyone kept telling me sorry and buy a new one. But not Adam! Adam not only knew what it was, he fixed it right away and the part and labor was way way way cheaper than buying a new computer. If you have a computer problem, TAKE IT TO ADAM!!!!! Adam replaced my laptop fan immediately, which had me pleasantly surprised. I thought I was just going to drop off my laptop and that he would get to it another day, but he took it and opened it up right away. And he charged me less than what another repair shop quoted me. My 5 year old custom built PC had a booting error, after multiple attempts to fix on my own I decided to google a computer repair store. My laptops fan was not working correctly and it was running very slow. Adam replaced the fan, installed a new hard drive and fixed some issues the machine had with Windows updates. He did great work and charged a fair price. Would recommend him for any computer issues. Will definitely go back if I have any more problems with my laptop.

I was pretty disappointed with my experience at DPC. It came highly reviewed on Google so I was really hoping for more-I called them and asked if they were capable of reflowing my graphics card, and they said yes. So I brought it over that day, the first sign something was wrong was that the person behind the counter had no mask on, which is in itself just a terrifying thing. I filled out the paperwork the safest I could and explained my situation, and they said theyd get to it that day or the next.Two days later I called to get an update on my computer because I still had no news, and they said that it just wasnt working and they couldnt figure it out. Honestly thats fine! I expected as much and thanked them. When I came by to pick up my stuff, my tower was in disarray, missing screws, and the case itself was bent. The person behind the counter helped me find my dust guards and screws, and my anti static bag I had brought it in (it seems like everything had been misplaced or thrown away, which is frustrating.) and I paid for their work.While I was leaving I asked if they identified a more specific problem, and they said that it looked like reflowing it would fix it, but they just didnt have the equipment. I left, and halfway to my car I realized that reflowing was *exactly what I had already asked them to do*. They said they could do it, and then upon payment found out that they never even had the machine available. I was too frustrated to go back inside after my experience so I just- let it go.I think the guts for a good business are here and this is clearly just like- a series of unfortunate events, I dont think its like malice or anything Im just super dissapointed. Would not recommend.

I brought my desk top computer which was getting slower and slower in to DPC at 3:15 and by 6:45 my computer had a new hard drive. Also, Adam removed several unnecessary programs and gave me a quick tutorial all for a reasonable price. I would recommend this company to any one.

After spilling water on the keyboard of my laptop, I took it to Micro Center the very next day to get it repaired or to buy a new computer if the repair would cost too much. However, the person there told me that a diagnostic would take 2 weeks, which was way too much time for me to stomach, and the repair staff there gave me an impression of being unskilled. Thus, I came upon DPC computer repair, and after taking my computer to their shop the day after Micro Center, they were able to do a diagnostic in less than 5 hours, and told me that it would take less than 10 days to repair the broken battery and the keyboard, which was malfunctioning with a very reasonable price as well. They kept me well informed of the progress when I stopped in for a visit 5 days after they ordered parts for the repair with Adam saying that Don would call back (which he did 2 hours later) with more detail as he was handling our request. They did a very good job technically with the computer (it now runs better, doesnt power limit throttle, and the keyboard has no issues), and they were quick, professional, and had a reasonable price tag on their service. Highly recommended.

I actually had three interactions with DPC, and I was really happy with them. Initially, I broke my laptop hinge, and called DPC and another repair place based on great reviews for both on my neighborhood FB page. When I called the other repair place, they werent sure theyd have the part in stock, so they recommended DPC. DPC fixed my broken hinge without ordering a new part, although honestly, they easily could have told me Id need one and I would have believed it. When I returned because it wasnt charging properly (something I had noticed previously, but hoped it might have been an issue with the hinge, since it was on the charging side), they sold me a new Dell charger at a lower price than I had seen online/Dell. That was the next step I had planned to do anyway, but they made it quicker and cheaper. When that didnt work, they fixed the internal part where it plugged in. Ive had it home for several weeks and it is working and charging perfectly. My laptop is nearly 5 years old, so Im not at all surprised that it needed repair, but DPC did a great job at a very reasonable price and was really cognizant of saving me money. They were completely upfront at every stage of the process and gave me different options (for example, I wanted to try a real Dell charger, because I was using a knockoff from Amazon and thought that might be the problem). Would definitely recommend and use again!!

Highly Recommend DPC!!! Glad I called DPC, spoke with Adam. I thought what I need was a RAM upgrade, I was wrong. Adam explained a solid state drive was the answer to my issue, which was horribly slow speeds on two iMacs I have. Both got new SSD and the speed is like when I bought them. My approximate 5 year old HP Envy23 All in One PC suffered inability to restart after multiple hardware and windows updates occurred in a short burst of time, seemingly overwhelming the old PC. The PC powered on with fan noise and indicating light power, however the start-up splash screen would not load. After numerous attempts to restart, unplug then restart, etc., I was left with a useless PC that could not start, plus much recent data had not yet been backed-up. Trying to contain my fear of total PC and much data loss, I used my phone to search for best PC repair places in Naperville and found DPC. I was intrigued by the overwhelming amount of positive reviews, and even more so about the descriptions of how DPC had communicated and performed so well on a wide variety of problems for so many customers. I just knew that I had found the right place to take my PC to be revived from the dead. Adam was terrific in listening to my problem description, asking questions, and then making a specific plan to access my problem. Adam was a calming influence during a time of real concern for my potential data loss. Adam was also very careful to understand my goals that I prioritized as 1) data recovery, 2) PC revive assessment, 3) possible hardware improvements if revived. Within 48 hours Adam had accomplished all 3! My out the door cost was just as Adam had estimated. Upon picking-up my PC, Adam was sure to take the time to go over what he did, recommendations for some improved general settings, and instructions on how to better check for available updates going forward. With the hardware upgrades, my PC is equal to the general specifications for a new PC, so I should be good to go for several more years. Should I ever have a PC related problem again, I know I have a guy for that!

The staff there were awesome! I needed some Mac work done, they reviewed the situation, and repaired the computer in a day. Prices were excellent. My Win7 Gateway desktop had to be upgraded to Win10. I am pretty good at PC repair and computing, but Win10 migration deadheaded into cannot determine if system has enough space, which is a very tricky to solve. No threads on web could point me to definitive solving. Gave it to Adam to figure out. And he did, plus upgraded my desktop with memory, solid drive, etc. while allowing me to keep all old software without installation. Saved me tons of time for very fair price. Please do not be mislead by the number of 5 star reviews because, They are appropriate. Great no frills computer repair service for reasonable prices. Work is primarily done, or supervised by Adam, the owner. He will 90% tell you up front, before leaving his shop, what to expect with the repair of your computer. Ive been here several times for repair of my college students kids laptops, as well as, upgrades and drives for my computers and have been pleased with the quality of the work done, every time. I think the reason for all the highly rated reviews is not only because of the good repair work, but a large part is due to the service you receive from the people working here. Adam is really a comforting guy to deal with. He has the right, calm demeanor for working with people in distress of having a non-functioning computer and the cost for its repair.

Desktop was crashing randomly with increasing frequency. Called then took it in to DPC because my son had very good experience with them earlier. Adam started diagnosing as soon as I arrived and in about 40 minutes had it nailed down. I left the computer with them to do some Windows rework and picked it up the next day. Price was very reasonable and the work was great. Adam was also very informative.

Great resource in Naperville right off of I-88. I have purchased 2 off-lease laptops from them and they have worked great for several years. I also have taken 3 laptops in for various repairs, like a power switch that wouldnt turn on, etc. Adam is great, Don knows equipment inside and out... very professional staff and very fair prices. These guys are great. Went in to get hard drive fixed. They gave me free diagnostic and unfortunately I had to send off to a different company to retrieve the hard drive data but they were great! 100% coming here with all of my computer issues.

My 2011 iMac stopped working and it seemed inevitable that I buy a new machine to replace it. On a whim, I called and asked if DPC Computer repair could fix my machine. I didnt have much to lose and I am happy to report that that Adam was able to successfully repair my old computer at a reasonable price. He was able to reflow my graphics card and replaced my hard drive. Now my computer is back up and running and I can delay buying a new machine for the time being.

My laptop wouldnt start, they fixed it in a few hours. When I picked it up the tech felt it should start better than it was, even though it worked as well as it ever had. He showed me what he said would help at a very reasonable price. This was late on Friday afternoon. He told me it would take a few hours, likely be done Monday. They called on Saturday morning around 10, all done for the price they told me. This explains all the five star reviews here.

Simply put, Adams an honest guy running a fair computer-repair shop.I had this under clocking problem with my computer and after a year of trying to diagnose the problem, I humbled myself and brought it in here. While he didnt fix the root of the problem (which could of easily cost more than the computer itself), he set me up with a great alternative that easily removed the symptoms of whatever was broken. He also took the time to walk me through his diagnostics process, which I felt not every place would do. Definitely recommend.

D PC Computer Repair was great. I had an error code on my Windows 10 PC, did some online research which said it looks like a failed hard drive. The guys at DPC Repair were able to check it out same day, tried several tests, tried to get data off the hard drive, and confirmed the next steps.They couldnt do full data recovery, but they recommended a company that does that.I ended up going with DPC for a new hard drive, fresh Windows 10 install, and got my PC up and running in 2 days.Their prices were the best I found and their service was great.They also supported my own research to try to fix my own problems. Some places seem offended that you want to fix it yourself, or they try to constantly sell you on their service when its something you could easily do on your own.

Went to DPC after an unsuccessful fix of my laptops screen at other computer repair store. They investigated the issue thoroughly and found that the problem is not the hardware (the screen itself), instead it was something else. They couldve told me that i need to replace my screen and i would have believed them. They only charged me a very reasonable fee. Pleasure to do business with these guys! I had an HP laptop with a cracked screen casing, the repair would be expensive so they gave me a great deal on one of their Dell laptops. Very knowledgeable, took time to answer all the questions I had, excellent customer service!

I have only lived in Naperville for 3 years and I was looking for a PC repair place that I could trust. I had a PC from as far back as 2009 that was custom built for me from a coworker at a previous employer. One day in 2015 it just stopped turning on. I had alot of personal info on here and needed to obtain it. Adam was great to work with. He knows his stuff and will always try to give you a deal. Long story short for a couple hundred bucks he got the computer back on, upgraded to Windows 10, new SSID, and CD drive/burner. Alot cheaper then going thru Dell. Thumbs up to this place.

Was in a panic yesterday when my MacBook Pro was having lots of issues. Was given DPCs number by another computer repair person as he did not work on Macs. Called and spoke to Adam. I brought it in at 4:00 yesterday afternoon. Adam explained what was most likely causing problems with my Mac and was hopeful it could be done this morning -- and it was! Runs better than ever. Great experience. My computer crashed. I went to another place, and they said DPC was the best place to take it. I brought it to Adam, who worked with it for several days, found the problem, restored most of the data which would otherwise have been lost. The price was way less than I might have thought. Also he called me several times to explain what he was doing and to get my OK for the way ahead as far as repair options and cost. Very polite. Couldn’t have asked for better service.

Excellent service and advice! Main business computer had boot drive issues and wouldnt start. We understand a lot about computers, couldnt figure it out.THEY CAME TO OUR RESCUE. And found things to aid long term with the machine. Awesome, honest and fast!

Brought my sons laptop here to be fixed. The guys were very knowledgeable about the machine he had and what needed to be done. What might have turned into weeks of waiting with the manufacturer and/or dealing with the likes of the worst repair team on the planet (Best Buy), turned into an awesome experience with DPC. I came across DPC Computer Repair through a Google search when I suspected that my hard drive was failing. Their high rating led me to make a call to check them out before committing to seeking service from them. I found Don extremely knowledgeable, offering several options for how to move forward should they find that my drive was, in fact, failing. It was an easy decision to go to them for service. And I was not disappointed. They identified the problem, backed up my data, and replaced my drive with a much better solution than what I had before. Remarkably, they turned around my computer much more quickly than I expected. Further, they suggested some other options to make my system even more robust, options that did not involve them making money. I find them to be very knowledgeable, honest, and helpful. And their price was very reasonable. I can’t imagine having a better experience. I will return as future needs arise and highly recommend them to others.

They are awesome! My laptop was receiving blue screen errors so I took it in(found DPC based on their great online ratings). Adam immediately sat down with my computer and diagnosed. All in all, it took him roughly an hour to relieve my headache and fix my computer. Along the way, he gave me meaningful tips to use for future reference. Ive gone to the big stores for service before, and its not even comparable. You just dont get same day service from those other guys. DPC gave me personalized service, PROMPT service, and I guarantee I paid less than I would have at one of those big chains. DPC also has a bunch of rebuilt computers they sell for a fraction of the cost of a new one. Ill be back to visit these guys! Thanks for the great service!

I ran into an issue that was over my head. Brought it in to DPC Computer Repair and they were able to fix the issue as well as change the configuration of my computer to suit my needs in a very timely manner and for a very good price. Adam was extremely knowledgeable, explained everything he did in a way I could understand, and helped get me back up and running in a very short time. I am so glad I found this place. Highly recommended. I trust these guys to do the job right.

My friend wanted to get a new MacBook last year and wanted to sell her old mid 2012 13-inch MacBook Pro. I had never had a Mac and really wanted one, we bartered and I got it and was in love. Got it in October, downloaded Catalina and was good to go.Back in December during the holidays, I tripped and my MacBook fell in my backpack but after a blue highlighted screen for five minutes it was working totally normal and fine.Fast forward to end of March quarantine time, my Mac started crashing while I was using zoom and I was getting the prohibitory symbol and question mark folder. Kept reading up on internet recovery but my Mac would boot up normal after a few attempts of turning on/off and leaving it for a few hours.A week later it happened again. And a week after that. I was still able to work but not knowing when the crash would happen or what app if any was causing it made me worry. I thought it was Catalina so I did the internet recovery to re-install Mountain Lion. It worked so I tried high Sierra and everything seemed fine for a few days...until...yep, prohibitory symbol.But this time, I couldnt even re-install Mountain Lion. Hard drive wasnt listed in internet recovery, so I finally gave up trying to solve my problem on my own for free.I live in South Naperville, near Bolingbrook and saw DPC had 5 stars on google review and that they were pretty cheap when it came to fixing Macs. Told them my issues and they called me several times the next day trying different attempts to fix it.Ended up being a bad cable that was connected to the hard drive and the hard drive was fine but just wouldnt work with my Mac, so they put in a new hard drive with less storage space.Alls well that ends well. My Mac is now way, way faster than before, I can operate Catalina no problem, I really didnt need 500 GB of storage space, and I was easily able to re-download the apps I lost and reconfigure Safari.And they did all that for under $150. This is definitely the computer repair shop to go to in Chicagoland.

My mother board in my 5 year old work computer decided to give up the ghost on a late Friday afternoon. Found DPC computer on line with 115 5* ratings. Seriously! who gets 115 5 * ratings? Well now I know why. They were open till 7 PM and I dropped of my computer. They called me on Saturday morning with pricing ( very reasonable)and they had already sourced a replacement mother board in Denver. I was back up and running with all of my legacy software by Thursday the next week. Wonderful experience.

Id give 50 stars if I could. Don, the owner, really cares about you, his customer. I brought him a dead computer and he correctly diagnosed the problem while I waited (bad motherboard). In an attempt to keep my costs down, he searched several recycle centers for a replacement. That wasnt successful so he found a replacement on eBay, ordered it and installed it, all for a very, very reasonable price.It felt great to work directly with the owner who is the same person who does the work, not a faceless technician. He was always available on the phone or in person. And it always felt like he was on my side, attempting to find the best and lowest cost solution.Theres a reason that DPC receives so many 5 star reviews. I presume that other repair shops are good, but I put DPC in the OUTSTANDING category. I was impressed, and you will be too.

The provider is very knowledgeable and found the problem quickly and was able to fix it quickly and charged a reasonable price! We had great customer service and would highly recommend them to repair computers!!
