Although I initially attended courses to improve upon my sales skills, I quickly learned advanced business strategies.I appreciate the multidisciplinary and cross industry collaboration that was cultivated as part of the coursework. A little over two years ago, I was asked to move from an Account Manager position to an Account Executive role at the company I had been working for since 2003. To say that the move scared me would be an massive understatement. However, with the support of the President of the company and my husband both assuring me they could see this as a successful transition for me, I accepted.About two months into the position, I was enrolled in the Foundations program at Corporate Strategies & Solutions. By being presented with a program and process to follow, the stress of the new position began to minimize. My famous line to Bill during our first coaching session was I dont see myself as a salesperson. Despite my reluctance to embrace this new adventure, Bill and his team continued to chip away at my wall and helped me to realize that by maximizing my natural communication and people skills while following the submarine, I could still be myself and also sell.After completing the Foundations Program, I enrolled the following year into the Presidents Club. From Sandler, Bill Bartlett and his team, I have learned to feel more comfortable on how to turn cold calls to warm calls. I dont spend extra months and years on prospects who wont move ahead. From the mini-upfront contract and 30 second commercial, Bills form of communication skills guide me to go for the no from a prospect, rather than play the prospects game. I feel more confident moving ahead to the next warm call. I waste less time on the non-interested and find the next real client. In the over 25 years that I have been trained by the Sandler System, the most impact has come from working with Corporate Strategy and Solutions. For the past 9 years that has been the expertise and professionalism modeled by Bill Bartlett and his organization . The Sandler System gives me the tactical tools to:Professionally interview clientsAssess their situationAdjust the interview to gather in depth information about their business problem andGain insight into the personal impact that the situation has on them.Using the system, I can very quickly determine the likelihood of a fit for my services. This is accomplished without telegraphing to the client how I wish them to think or short circuiting the communication by acting like a traditional sales person. These will trigger the clients defensive reaction. Clients often bring preconceived mindsets to a sales call meeting and the system helps me to take that structured behavior out of play. I have the tools to control the situations that arise in sales calls or meetings.On a personal note this system, along with Bill Bartletts coaching, has strengthened my internal values so that the vagaries of a particular customer response do not derail me.
