Frank heard my out-of-town and broken down story, and while I was still wondering how I would get my car repaired and drive the 800 miles back home, actually called me with a plan and a price (the latter was more reasonable than the 2 big-box auto shops in the area).Personable, communicative, trustworthy - and he managed to repair my car quickly, despite being ultra-close to Christmas, and having (from what I saw) a relatively full shop.I would never wish breaking down a days drive away from home on anyone, but things happen. Very good price for new transmission!I was torn between paying the money for a new transmission for my SUV or just cutting my losses and getting a used car. Frank was great in keeping me posted as to the best price he could get me and also giving me some time to weigh my options. I never felt pressured. I ended up getting the new transmission at what I think is a fair and reasonable price. Now I’m back in the SUV that I love, and it’s running great! Frankie and Johnnie’s is a high quality shop.

My husbands car failed the emission testing and he decided to take the car to the car dealer to fix the problem. The dealer fixed the problem but the car failed the emission testing a second time. So my husband took the car back to the dealer and they couldnt figure out the problem. The car passed all the computer tests on their end. They suggested my husband go to another emission facility. My husband took the car to another emission facility and the car failed the emission test a third time.We decided to take the car to Frankie & Johnnies Garage after seeing all the great reviews. Im glad we did. Frankie was very nice and extremely helpful. He fixed the problem and even took the car over to the emission testing place for us. When we got the car back, there was slip of paper saying the car passed the emission test. I was shocked that he would go the extra mile and do that for us. Frankie even offered and drove me to the train station so I could take the train to work while he worked on the car. Its rare to meet someone like Frankie. I have taken multiple cars to Frankie and Johnnies now for services ranging from basic tuneup work to a full brake replacement. Service, lead time (from parts procurement to installation), and pricing have all been excellent! Theyve never tried to run up the bill either with extraneous parts or services (I cant say the same about other shops in the area...). Fantastic! These guys are no nonsense, fix your car at a reasonable price. They are honest with you on what is likely to go wrong next but dont suggest doing work early just to charge you more. I have been taking all of my cars there for years now and this is consistent with my experience each time. We have had a few very unique troubleshooting issues and they found and fixed the issue both times. Once they had to fabricate a part that was not available for one of my more challenging vehicles. Also very friendly down to earth guys.

I have used them for years, but recently had two instances of sloppy work (missed damage on one car and overtightened bolts which led to leaks and damaged fasteners on another), so I don’t think I’ll be going back.

I needed to get a brake line and front brakes and called on a Friday and got in on Monday. They were professional, reasonable and explained what they did and what was causing other problems. They are trustworthy and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Being a female I am somewhat leery of getting taken advantage of, but I know they did what was necessary and again at a fair price. I will be taking all my cars here from now on.

My transmission quit on me while out of town. They helped me out big time and and got me a quick estimate which was less than what I was expecting. The estimate even came with a two year warranty. Initially I was going to fix it. I decided a tow to my home town to save a trip back and was the best option for me. They didnt charge a dime. I insisted they let me pay them for the diagnostic or something. No dice. I feel like everyone looking for a mechanic wants to know are they fair and competent. Well they didnt try to rake me over the coals when I was desperate. And they offered a two year warranty on their work. That shows they are confident in their work. If you need someone give them a shot.

Had a minor thing needed to be fixed on my company vehicle. The fleet company wouldn’t pay for this necessary work to be done. The owner did not mind and still went out of his way to complete the job and fill up my tires and windshield wiper fluid. I highly recommend these guys for their professionalism and friendliness

Weve been coming here for a year and it is an absolute joy every time. Frank is always straightforward and very friendly. The bill is never inflated. He is always up front about what needs to be done and what doesnt, and he doesnt suggest unnecessary ads-ons. I recently visited their workshop to fix my license plate. Very warm welcoming people and irrespective of the magnitude of the issue they immediately made sure to attend it and fixed it right away. After all this I went to ask them how much do I owe them and the owner simply shook my hand and said no need brother! Its very hard to see such genuine company and people. Came in for an oil change and opinion on my brakes, knowing they were most likely in need of replacement. I was so damn pleased with this Garage. I rarely review on Google but here goes nothing. I was having trouble with what I thought was an Oil pressure problem. I was referred by a close friend of my family. It turned out it was not an Oil problem but, a Fuel module problem. This was way less expensive than an Oil problem. Frank could have charged me way more than what he did. I was relieved that he diagnosed my ghost problem. Only a truly skilled mechanic could. I am about 45 min away from this garage & have found my FOREVER MECHANICS here. Frank got me an appointment quick, took the time consuming task of figuring out the problem, fixing the problem & returning my truck to me with in 3 working days. Frank even took the time to call me 3 days later and follow up on how my vehicle was performing. MY TRUCK HAS NEVER RUN BETTER. For about 8 years it had a bit of a shimmy. I thought I would have to get the entire rear end rebuilt to fix the problem. Not anymore!!!!!! My truck was starving for fuel. Thats why it was trembling FOR 8 YEARS. I know its a major PITA (pain in the a**) when your vehicle fails you. YOU WILL NEVER GO TO ANOTHER (r they gonna rob me) GARAGE AGAIN!!!!! Trust me on this. Who would have guessed FRANKIE & JOHNNIES found the holy grail in customer satisfaction. Simply by being the craftsman mechanics that they are & not over charging you. Even following up. I could go on & on but I think Ive made my point. P.S. Im going to take it back for a tune-up in the near future.

Brought my vehicle in for service Monday morning. They diagnosed it to be a transmission problem. It was fixed and ready by Wednesday afternoon. I was expecting it to take much longer. Service is great!

The employees are very friendly. My car broke down and my mother in law had to come jump my car. I wanted to get my car looked at right away and so i called frankie and Johnnies office. They told me to come in asap so they can look at my car. They told me what was wrong with the my car and the best option to fix it. The prices are very reasonable too.

The exhaust from my car had fallen off and was dragging on the ground when I left work today. Being a girl I was scared and was not sure what to do all I knew was it was very loud! I went to Frankie and Johnnies and they really helped me out. My car is very old and they helped fix my loud exhaust very quickly and for cheap! I would recomend them to anybody great service!

Ask for Frank when you get there. Honest guys! No BS! If you dont have a problem, they tell you there is no problem. I thought my blower for heat/AC was broke. Frank inspected and got back telling me my settings were off not the blower. Showed me the right circulation settings. Didnt charge me anything for it. I had to ask him to fix a new battery, and he did on my suggestion, as my battery was old. They are NAPA auto care fixers, where all their parts are bought off NAPA. Their bill was broken down by NAPA part costs and their labor costs. Full transparency!

I was having trouble with some of the electronics on my dashboard, and due to my job, it was somewhat difficult to bring my car in for repair. I finally had a client in the loop that would allow me to take the train in, so I chose Frankie and Johnnies Garage simple for its location right by the route 59 stop. I dropped my car off, and from the beginning I was able to see that I was going to get friendly service. They dropped me off right near the train station. When they called me to tell me what was wrong with my car, they spelled everything out for me: what was wrong, what my options were, how much it will cost. They had to order a part for my car, so when I dropped it off the second time, they had this convienient drop-off box to put your keys in, so you dont have to wait until they are open. Every interaction I had with any of the employees was alway very pleasant. They are extremely friendly, and will go out of their way to make your experience a little better than what you would get somewhere else. If you are looking for a repair shop, I highly recommend Frankie and Johnnies Garage.

I want to commend Frankie and Johnnies Garage on the excellent customer service I recently received. I had done a replacement of the brake wear items on my car 9 months ago with them and at the time was presented with several options of brake rotors to chose from. The vehicle is a sports car (it has Corvette brakes) and the manufacturers parts were quite a bit more expensive than the premium NAPA part. I dont really drive the car like a sports car so I decided that the top NAPA offering would be good enough. I think on most cars it would be. This week, 9 months later, my front rotors seemed to have warped because I was getting awful shuddering in the steering wheel while braking. I brought it in to Frankie and Johnnies and told them what was going on. They inspected the car and found that the warping seemed to have been from overheating. I dont drive the car crazy, so I can only assume that the part was poorly designed. Their workmanship definitely was not the issue. I decided to replace the NAPA part with the manufacturers part. This is really not a problem that the shop created, because they gave me the option to chose the part that I wanted and explained the choices to me. Nevertheless, they were good enough to offer me free labor on replacement of the parts. When the new parts came in, we compared them and noted that the OEM part was definitely superior. All in all, this could have gone much worse for me and I really appreciate the honesty of the shop and their pride in going above and beyond on the job. Im a mechanical engineer and not a mechanic, but I can tell that some of the dealer shops (*cough* Village Pontiac *cough*) are slimey and will try to pull fast ones on you. Ive never let it happen but the dealers will try it. Ive never gotten any of that from Frankie and Johnnies. Case in point: I also brought in my wifes Mercedes, which was having body squeaks that I was concerned about. I basically told them to charge me something to fix it when I brought it in. They drove it, inspected it, and let me know that everything seemed tight and did not need replacement. There are still some squeaks, but I appreciate that they are honest enough to give the correct recommendation and not just charge you to do all kinds of replacements that you really dont need. Thanks for excellent service, guys.
