I never do reviews but felt very compelled to write one for this location. I drove around and called several places before arriving to this location. I work in the area but live an hour away. I had a bubble in my tire and was worried about driving on the highway. I showed up close to closing time but I was serviced right away! Mike Koga and Nick Benedict were exceptional! My tire was changed and my car was inspected. They were very thorough and efficient with the service provided. My car inspection was communicated to me in great detail as well as the protection plan I bought for my tire. I knew I was in great hands. They were kind, efficient, knowledgeable and set a new bar as far as I’m concerned regarding customer service. I was even loaned a phone charger so I could find my way back to the highway as my phone died. Thank you very much Mike Koga and Nick Benedict!! Go see them, you will be glad you did.

Great experience! Went in for an oil change at the recommendation of a friend going there for all auto repairs for a while. Mike, the manager, was so kind and a great communicator. They have great prices for their services, no pressure through upselling and I got honest feedback about when to do various maintenance items. No pressure to do them today like so many places do. My car was way overdue for an oil change and it purrs now. I also thought I needed a tire rotation (incl with my oil change) and because of the location of my tires and their condition, he advised that I leave them in the same places so I can be ready for the best placement for winter. I so appreciate that advice because I honestly dont know any better! Bravo for a quick, friendly service that I could schedule last minute today. Also free WiFi so I could get work done, and HGTV on the TV 😁. Will be returning for sure!

Today is the second time in the last year that the service I have received from this Car-X has been exemplary. Back in January, after my car battery died, Mike was kind enough to go out of his way to travel to my residence not far from the store and replace my battery in my garage. Today, after booking an appointment only this morning to get an engine belt replaced, Mike and Nick had the car repaired and fully functioning again after only a couple of hours. The work was professional, efficient, very affordable and they kept me informed of the progress at every step of the way. Cannot recommend the store and both Mike and Nick highly enough.

Wonderful service throughout my entire experience! Peter greeted me with the most sincere and warming attitude.My tire had a nail in it that unfortunately needed to have my whole tire replaced due to where the nail was located. They didn’t have my tire in stock so they ordered the tire and said it would be ready in a few hours. We made the decision that I could drive my car for the day so I could do my job. Yeah all these reviews are right. Angel is an extremely knowledgeable and fair manager. I can always see him observing and discussing with the mechanic to determine the best course of action. Not to mention, the mechanic there has 25+ years of experience working on cars and can do all this work in his sleep. Its tough finding a good mechanic, but Ive found mine.

Came here to get my tire replaced. Peter, the manager, was very helpful. He thoroughly explained everything and answered all my questions. He even gave me a discount as there was some discrepancies in the tire replacement. All in all a very good, painless experience. Would go back.

Avoid Saturday if you dont want to drop off and wait for 1hr or more for just Oil Change. I went on a Monday morning with a $50 coupon synthetic oil change, plus wiper blade replace and tire rotation. It was pretty good deal. Usually my past experience with other shops, they are not happy to honor deals/coupons without some upselling. But I had different experience here. They honored the coupon without question. Informed me that my tire are low on tread. They wanted to know my preference and printed me couple of quotes. Also told me if I find lower price, they will match and give me one year of oil change free. I liked the fact that they never forced me to buy the service from them and gave me option to shop around. I know I will go back to the shop for the tire works and future services unless my feelings hurt. :)I will suggest to give it a try if you are scared of hard salesmanship at other places.

I have gone there several times. Always a positive experience. I took my car in due to brake issues. They called me today, told me the issue and said, this is a recall on your car. The dealer may repair for free. Sure enough, the dealer did the repair. I know of no other car repair that would suggest I take it somewhere else or do the homework to see that it was a recall. I have always liked this shop. But this takes it to a whole new level. I will always recommend and use this Car-X. They have always been great and done such fantastic work. Love them!!

We were having what seemed to be minor pulsing of the brakes. A place examined them saying we needed a full brake job, front and rear, at over a thousand dollars. We went to Car-X for a second opinion. The front brakes were fine and the rears needed to be done. The cost was less than half the earlier quote and the work by Car-X was perfect.

Always perfect work with convenient times. Called and got an oil change when I was available. They had my car in and out with no hassle. They also did an inspection which checked out fine. Most places would make something up that needed fixed. Not this Car-X. Honest, fast and dependable.

Needed to keep the older bucket running and these guys have skills to keep it going! Had to have both front CV joints replaced. Price was great and speed was even better they had the entire car diagnosed and repaired in about 4 hours! Ill most certainly be back when I try to figure out which O2 sensor is bad! Angel was really an angel for me. I came to Naperville from Canada on my Ford Escape 2013 and suddenly realized that my dealer in Mississauga had forgotten to tighten a bolt on the heat shield and it was hanging from one side. He fixed it free of cost and refused to accept any money. On my insisting he said I may tip the mechanic who fixed it. I am touched deeply. I would recommend to everyone.

If your on a budget and a female do not come to this location. Told the manager which is a different person every time I come in. That I only have $700 limit on my credit card for this location. They proceed to go $400 over budget!!!!!! Like I just had it on hand? Said all the work needed to be done ASAP. Because I was a female they walked all over me. The heat shield of my car had come loose. I brought my car in and Peter and Brad took care of it immediately. I have been here in the past and always good prompt and good services.

I went to Car-X for a few things. Ian Ishcomber, the manager, always helped me out and took care of me. They have the best price on tires in the area and their service is great. I chose this location after reading past reviews. My brakes were beginning to squeak and I needed an honest inspection. The staff was very friendly. After taking a look at my brakes they informed me I did not need new brakes...in fact my brakes had a lot of life left in them. They explained, however, what the cause of the squeaking was, but simply said it was up to me if I wanted to complete that work...as it really was not impacting my cars performance. I was truly impressed with their honesty and will definitely return there in the future.

I have been going to CarX for years for most of my car repairs. Always beat the dealerships and they were fair with their estimates and costs. I dont feel that I have been getting a fair deal the last few times in. Today I spent $740 to replace two solenoids and four spark plugs. Let me first say that the repairs did fix the issues I was having so the work at this point seems to have been done properly. I reviewed my bill in detail and compared part prices online. The labor charges looked in-line but the materials were severely marked up. I called the manager for an explanation. I asked why they charged $31 for a $10 spark plug and $177 for $60 solenoid. He said the difference was to cover the warranty. I asked if I can refuse the warranty and he said no. It was company policy because the company wants to guarantee their work. Well, Im the one guaranteeing the work if I have to pay for the warranty. The only way I can break even is for all of the parts to fail and get replaced within 12 months. In the meantime, CarX keeps my warranty money. So at the end of the day, I got charged twice for the same job and am out about $300. I guess I can go to sleep at night knowing they will fix those parts if they fail with a year. On top of that, they charged me $39 to throw those part in the trash can. Said it was a government charge. Can anyone recommend a reasonable mechanic in the Naperville area? I wont be going back to CarX.

Our old car had some problems with brakes. Got it fixed at a shop near Rt 59 at Aurora. The problem came up again and we had Car-X checked and they gave us some suggestions. We decided to take a shortcut and they basically removed the parking brake functionality without replacement. Car-X charged us nothing for it. Expert knowledge with great service!

Great service and but they exaggerated the issues. They thought I needed to fix an oil leak and pay for several hours of labor costs. I took it to my normal mechanic the next day and it just needed a tune up and has been running fine since. It was leaking oil but not as bad as they made it sound.

These guys are absolutely awesome and extremely truthful about what does and does not need to be fixed. If youre anything like me and dont know a whole ton about cars, this is definitely the place to go!I went to a competitors store and was quoted around $900 for a set of calipers, rotors, brake pads, fuel lines, and more, most of which didnt need to be fixed. When I called them, I explained the situation and how I needed to have the bare minimum done. When I arrived, they immediately pulled the car is and started looking at it, and not being a very car-savy person, they explained and answered everything. They also corrected any misinformation I had received from the competitor and showed me an issue the competitor never showed me. They changed out my brake pads and rotor without trying to scrape any extra money out of me, and even suggested going to a junk yard to look for replacements for some of the pricier pieces. They serviced my car very quickly, I was in and out within an hour and a half from examination till bring returned my keys, including time to discuss with my boyfriend options for replacing some parts in a couple of weeks. Thank you for the awesome service!As an update: I recently did something stupid that resulted in me damaging my tire rod. I called the shop last night to see if they could get my car in, see what they suspect happened, and see how quickly they could get it done. Originally I had asked if they could have it done around 11 AM, only for these guys to have it ready for pick up around 9! They even threw in a pair of free wiper blades, which definitely needed replacing.These guys still deserve the 5 stars I gave them years ago. Theyre still the most honest bunch of mechanics Ive had the pleasure of doing business with, and they have always had my best interest in mind. Thank you guys again!
