I went to powerhouse in April while in town for two weeks for military related training. A group of us paid for a single months membership. At no point did powerhouse communicate the group of us had signed up for a recurring monthly membership, even with the common understanding that we were only in town for two weeks. Powerhouse began billing our entire group recurring monthly membership fees this month and offered no form of reimbursement. Seems like a pretty bogus way to scam anyone looking to use a gym while traveling for two weeks.

I have been going to this gym for years. The facility and equipment are clean, and with just a few exceptions broken machines are repaired right away. There is a good variety of machines, probably a dozen flat benches for DB work, and five-six squat racks. No hassle about masking. When I compare this place to say planet fitness where my friend goes, where there are less than 20 folks present and yet mandatory masks and DB that go all the way up to.... 70LBS, its a no brainer. My hope is that Powerhouse will continue the sweet pricing on three years paid in advance.

And never receive the Money back in your account theres a big problem. And from what I was told, I wasnt the only one. Its kind of scary knowing they can take money randomly and never pay it back.

I joined powerhouse at the Murrieta facility back in January 2020, I signed up for their Personal training program. I’m currently being trained by Chantal aka Channy. I have nothing but great stuff to say about her. Chantal is an incredible trainer and I just love the energy she brings to the gym. I’ve had trainers in the past and the difference with Chantal is that she is right there with you the entire hour. She isn’t focused on what’s going on around the gym, she watches your form and adjust any mistakes you might be making. I can honestly say she loves what she does. Chantal is encouraging, motivational, inspiring, very well educated in her field, and full of happiness. Oh and expect a smile from her every time you meet with her. The program could be a little bit less expensive but, worth paying the money when you get trained by someone as great as Chantal!!!!! I hope this inspires to find her at the Murrieta location won’t be disappointed.

Horrible customer support. Went to the gym for 2 months and signed up for a one time payment of $150. Nobody told me anything about the gym moving to a new location. After a month of going there were signs indicating that they were moving but when asking they said that they are only opening a new one and this gym will stay. Contacted the company and they said that they wont refund anything. No one knows what theyre talking about. The gyms equipment is dated and some of the barbells weight 20 to 30 lbs with no stickers which can be a pain to figure to get the 45er. The lockers wrist band locks are broken and the gym refuses to fix them. Water is expensive, anything that seems good is either broken, closed, or old to the point thats unusable. Definitely wouldnt recommend this gym to anyone especially thoose who are starting out because its a headache. Lots of Gimics and extra charges.

I’ve been paying cash for my membership for 4 or 5 months. when I went to pay my membership in cash like I have been doing Kevin the manager says “we only accept card” I explain I don’t have enough on my card I’m paying cash. After awkward silence I start walking to the equipment to begin my workout he just says “you can’t workout”. What kind of customer service is that! I can’t just pay the next day? I was just about to pay in cash like I have been doing. This gym treats you like a walking wallet. Also the manger kevin told me I would pay month to month after my one year contract was over. I called their customer care abc fitness to cancel my membership because apparently you can sign up at the gym but not cancel there. I find out I have a contract until may 31, so now I have to pay 90 dollars to be rid of this shady gym. The equipment is old and worn out with poor ventilation, I wouldn’t waste my time or money with this gym.

Awesome gym ! Been comeing here since the second shut down and love it. They bought a lot of new equipment and did some major organizeing inside to acomdiate the influx of new members joining so there would be space. They stayed 24/7 and added an outside area as well. The Managers at the front are great not sure why so many people say they are rude and the trainers are great too, their clients always look happy! Most of the bad reviews are just people who dont read the cancelation terms and are upset whej they dont get refunds back but thats on them, its very simple to cancel.

The gym put my membership fees on hold back on March, due to COVID...however, they just informed me I have a past due balance for August and September, PLUS late fees. I received no communication that the gym had re-opened, no communication that I was supposed to pay a fee in August. I just spoke the billing and ABC Financial services and they were extremely unhelpful; they said I need to fill out a form online to cancel. Apparently Powerhouse has been operating against the Governors orders (re-opened when not allowed). And they decided not to inform their clients of this, they just started charging monthly fees and late fees. They also lied and misled when I first signed up... I do not recommend this gym; they have dishonest business practices.

I love this gym! been coming for over 2 years since before they changed over from NC3. I love the layout and variety of equipment. Patrons and staff are friendly, never had a bad experience interacting with anyone. yes, some people just want to zone out and not be bothered during their workout but will still spot you or say a quick hi and share equipment. Read a lot of other peoples reviews and simply cant agree. Be patient with the staff and they will be friendly and solve your problems. The only thing negative is it does get very warm in there, they only run ceiling fans, but most people are wearing sweatsuits anyway and dont seem to mind. I tend to get a little too hot anytime especially in the summer its blazing hot in there. They are affordable, clean, offer childcare, showers, lockers, dry sauna, massage chairs, tanning bed, and lots of aerobic classes. Wish they had a jacuzzi that would make it perfect, but in all a great comfortable place to workout and build your body.

Disappointed with how Powerhouse Gym is handling Covid-19. I have a daycare fee for when my kids are being watched while I work out and since closing they haven’t sent anything out regarding those automatic fee’s but they have pulled them from my account last month and this month without hesitation. It’s unprofessional to not inform your customers especially any of whom may be paying out monthly to you in other amenities that can’t be haunted because of the temporary closure.10/27/2020UPDATE: Since the start of the pandemic Powerhouse is one of the only gyms that re-opened after the initial closure to allow customers to safely exercise near the end of May or start of June, its hard to remember now. None the less, since re-opening they have provided both indoor and outdoor accommodations for weight lifting and cardio workouts.Additionally, all fees were stopped for any activities that couldnt be opened at this time including daycare fees until it is safe enough to do so. When a charge was accidentally ran in September they promptly dealt with the refund into my account. Thank you for thinking of your customers.

I joined Powerhouse Gym when it was previously known as NC3 Fitness. This facility is exceptional with regards to cleanliness, floor layout, LED lighting, equipment and supporting fitness programs like yoga (including inversion yoga), aerobics, Zumba, Silver Sneakers, regulation boxing ring, childcare, etc. They are highly responsive to maintenance and repair issues which provides minimal down time with their equipment. Recently, they had the entire floor equipment pads reupholstered to textured black covers...very nice and compatible with a new look, truly professionally done like original issue. One of the amazing features to this facility is the hours they are open...24/7, with few holidays to change this practice, nice! Big shoutout to Nick, Zach, Chase and supporting staff. Keep up the great work folks, you are a sustaining success my friends.

This is quite possibly the worst gym Ive ever been to. When you arrive as a new customer, you are greeted with... Nothing. Most employees have their head down on their phone or on the computer and dont even bother to look up. After that, you are given a tour of the gym by what appears to be a very considerate young man named Zack. After youve signed up, no one cares about you. That young man Zack, who is the sons owner, is the most entitled, arrogant, egotistical boy Ive ever met. I am constantly ridiculed about low volume grunts, dropping of weights (which are rubber weights on an Olympic platform... News flash: thats what those weight and rubber floor are for). Anyways, would never recommend this gym to anybody. Absolutely no sense of customer service, and in my book, thats the worst thing a business can struggle with. 10/10 would not go here.

Ive been a member of several different gyms over the years, and this is by far one of the best. In comparison to others in the area, it is less crowded, and a lot cleaner, which makes for a better workout. My experience is based on what I expect from a gym, which is a lot of equipment in a clean environment. The only complaint would be sometimes the weights are not reracked properly. Not the gyms fault, but members who dont know proper gym etiquette. Its a lot worse at other gyms in the area.

I joined this gym because it was close to my house. I must say I am appalled at the way Cathy treats guest. Cathy is supposedly the one who takes care of the managers job, so the manager doesnt have to deal with you. This is exactly what Cathy told me when I said, I just want to speak to the manager. Cathy said, she wont deal with you, thats what Im for. She was very rude to me over multiple charges that I called the gym about. They debited my credit card 5 times in one day. They debited it once previously right after I joined; so to me I had 6 unauthorized charges, which Cathy was happy to say she charged in all that day.. All Cathy was doing was talking over me, stating that I had a previous contract and the employee there shouldnt of signed me up with a new one. Cathy said, she was the one who is debiting my card. So I was frustrated from her behavior, I told her your being rude, and then she apologized and said she was upset with the employee there who just signed me up. First of all Im receiving a service from you, you need to show some respect. After she already upsets me she tells me, Im the one being rude. Of course because youre yelling at me, not allowing me to talk because youre to busy talking over me, telling me I cant talk to the manager and then threatening me that if I cancel my account, youll just hand me over to collections. Well, rudeness breads rudeness and she was extremely rude. If I had a previous contract that I signed up for in December, which I did but I never once stepped foot into the gym; not even one time ( they can easily look that up) because I broke my ankle and had to have surgery on it. I barley started going again and I gave the guy my ID and Credit card, he signed me up because I never went before. When I did break my ankle I called and spoke with a guy who said, Dont worry about it, come back when your ready. okay, I will. So my ankle being my first priority instead of worrying about everyone at the gym; that was the last thing from my mind. I signed up again and they signed me up on a new contract. Cathy completely handled the situation in bad, bad taste. She had no sympathy at all; her tone was completely argumentative mode not caring at all about the guest only about a contract I never used one day of because of a broken ankle. And she states she has someone else in her office listening to our conversation. So what, why do I care about that Cathy; ? Does that mean you want to be meaner in front of them and act bossy or are you threatening me again. She should of welcomed me back with open arms and allow me to fulfill this new contract I signed when I was actually ready to workout and signed up not only myself but another member. They lost nothing from me not going one single day before when I broke my ankle and resigning at a later date. I wanted to talk with the owners but apparently theyre from Russia and dont live in the USA. Cathy wouldnt allow me to talk to anyone other than her and deferred me away from communicating with anyone else. Im so upset from the way the situation was handled, and how I was treated. Obviously, I wouldnt spend time writing this. Its sad that consumers really have no voice anymore. Theyre treated like the business could care less about you. I would never want to go where an employee is negative, angry....who thrive off of being mean to clients and name calling, instead of dealing with people in an appropriate manner. All because she was angry at the employee that signed me up on a new contract. No compassion at all. I feel sorry for anyone in her presence. I will defiantly go where the energy is flowing with positivity, welcoming energy and hopefully get a hold of the real owners somehow. Ill use my doctors papers and surgery paper as proof for my ankle if she wants to send me to collections, for breaking my ankle, calling the gym and never working out one single day on that contract. Join a gym that cares about your fitness well being, not just your money.

The trainers are knowledgeable and will push an individual to his or her limits. There is an extra cost to half of the classes offered as well as the trainers. Having said that, you can count on several machines being broken, from treadmills, stair climbers and ellipticals. The front counter staff is so-so when it comes to customer service. Their contract states that can basically change anything they want even though you have signed a contract with what is currently happening. They just changed their daycare hours which has greatly inconvenienced me, but when trying to switch to their Menifee gym, they wanted me to pay another $40 fee for an annual fee that was already waived for me when I joined. Ridiculous. Their employees told me they are suffering on money coming in at the Murrieta location (about 4 months ago, hence the daycare hour change) and unfortunately they just lost more business, when all we wanted to do was switch locations and still give them money. Poor business operations. The facilities are just the same as NC3, so pretty decent (but you can find decent equipment almost anywhere). The prices are pretty standard, except for the daycare being cheaper, but their daycare is super limited for people, so its not worth it in the end. No child care Saturday afternoon or Sundays, so the working people cant even workout on the weekends that much. The staff is ok, but there are so many of them just standing around doing nothing, hanging out at the front desk (probably where their monies are going to as waste). My mom became a member there and requested personal training sessions but they were super slow to even get back to her (when you think they would want to make money off of her), and then when she had specifics, they put her on hold even longer and she only went to one training session. The personal trainer never contacted her to schedule another one and when she attempted to, they never called her back. Poor business practices.Needless to say, all of us left and went elsewhere. They wont stick around too long if they keep this type of business practice up.

I have visited other gyms in the Murrieta area, namely LA Fitness (12 years) and Fitness 19 (>1 year) and by wide margin NC3 is a stand-out facility. They offer a clean, well-maintained line of equipment (Hoist, Star, Hammer, etc.) and the led lighting is very pleasant by comparison to glaring flourescents used elsewhere. The staff is friendly, helpful and always accommodating. I recently asked if they could shorten one of the lat pull belts to allow for a complete stretch phase (most important) for taller members and the next time I was working-out, lo and behold it was adjusted perfectly. THANK YOU! The gym environment has an executive, classy design with tons of room around the equipment (not to mention a code requirement) and exceptionally clean...even entering the restrooms you instantly notice the air refreshner system in use on top of well-maintained sinks, paper towels, urinals and toilets which are plentiful. A huge plus about this gym experience is the diversity of fitness programs offered: weights, new-generation cardio-equipment, inversion yoga (truly amazing), spinning room, boxing with regulation ring & punching bags, zumba, aerobics varieties, training assistance, childcare, showers/sauna, tons of lockers, everything... it only takes a brief introduction and tour and youll be convinced like I was. And lastly, they are very competitively priced. Keep up the great work!
