I wanted to love KC Floors & More, but our final interactions with the company were disappointing. We worked with the company for new flooring and carpeting in our new to us home. The company was great with working with us before we were able to move our belongings into the home. When we moved and came to the house, it was so sad to see how dirty they left things. There were cans of Redbull still open on our counters, left over wrappers from the supplies they opened, a utility blade knife left in the carpet that a 3 year old found, a row of flooring nails on the floor, and a big scratch through two of our new floor panels. When I complained, they sent someone out and when he came, he told me he would replace the flooring that was scratched and I would be contacted for a time. The representative from the store also apologized for the way the crews left a mess and said she would schedule us a whole home cleaning. I never heard back from them in regards to either thing. I also reached out asking about how I could order and pay for an extra transition piece, and wasnt contacted back.Bottom line: if you are there to make sure they clean up and can hold them accountable, they did an okay job on the work (the flooring better than the carpet) but otherwise it seems like they will do the job and get out instead of being accountable for their work.
HOME OWNERS BEWARE: Highly, I would never recommend KC Floors or More to do any home improvements. I wanted a custom shower in the master bedroom. I gave the company 4 attempts to fix the issues of poor craftsmanship. The workers took approximately 6 months to finish. However, there was no progress in getting it fixed right. I was forced to stop the project. The workers were unprofessional and their craftsmanship was below the accepted trade standards according to the Contractors State License Board. The CEO/President of the company was very unprofessional. He hired cheap and unskilled workers that were either unlicensed or do not have a licenses to do the work. His stated reason, was that it helped him to save money which is very unacceptable. He also had 3 investigations on his bond under SureTec Indemnity Company. I highly suggest to do an extensive background check before hiring this company to do any work on your project.
I just did my floors and went to Republic in LA to get the vinyl. I was 4 boxes short and needed more, so I called KC floors to see if they carried republic and had the floor I needed. They didn’t have it in stock, but said they could have it in 2 days. They even price matched and gave me the rate I previously paid for it! They were very professional and kind and gave me a great price for top of the line flooring! I am so happy I found them. They saved me time and money and a dreaded trip to LA! I would definitely recommend them.
Heartfelt thank you to all the team at KC Floors & More for all your help with our LVP floors. From the Estimator, the Sales team (thank you for your patience), and the amazing Installers. From start to finish quality customer service and very competitive pricing. Will be using you again for our next project... counter tops!
Everything Kurt said is true. I just dont have the energy to tell my story but it is remarkably similar to his. These people have been taken to the CSLB review board multiple times. They dont have the proper licences nor know what they are doing. Id go elsewhere. Your license is for flooring only. You tell people you are a general contractor which is untrue. So that means when you knocked out walls, did electrical, plumbing, gas lines, etc. you were operating outside of your license. That Mr Blood is against the law.
Nice staff, huge selection of vinyl and carpet.
Amazing staff and great service!
