Theresa and Fred were very helpful and not pushy! The first time we went in, they understood that we were shopping around and were happy to show us whatever we wanted to look at. They answered our questions, and then even encouraged us to shop around and to make sure to compare the warranty and care plans. When we went back, they remembered who we were, and were very patient with all our questions as they helped us find the perfect ring. They were also very helpful and accommodating with the specialty features that we asked to be included in the wedding bands.

Short Review: Sierra West Jewelers in Murray was amazing to work with and provided awesome service. If you are considering a true custom setting, purchasing a diamond online and working with a local jeweler to have it set, or perhaps both (that was me), you should pay them a visit. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.Long Review: Myself and my now Fiancé had pretty specific tastes. We liked different aspects of many different rings but just couldn’t find “the one.” I physically visited ~10 jewelers; some provided a gaudy showroom or a more interactive experience (sometimes fun yet always reflected in their costs) but wouldn’t do true custom settings. Others had poor service/warranties if you didn’t purchase your center stone and settings together, or would charge exorbitant prices to set a diamond you hadn’t purchased from them. Since I had been seriously looking at purchasing a center diamond for the engagement ring separate from the setting, this was a challenge.Enter Sierra West. Sierra West was the only Jeweler I visited that would work with me on all my needs, and at a reasonable price. Their storefront may not be as fancy and glamorous, but don’t let that stop you. Fred was extremely responsive, transparent, and made sure that he understood precisely what we were looking for. He and I worked closely, going through several iterations of revisions to the CAD drawing until the ring was perfect. I did purchase a diamond center stone from a reputable online retailer and Sierra West set it for less than $200 (Jewelers that would set a “third party” stone quoted me around $500 to set the same sized diamond). Sierra West offered a free warranty on the settings and pointed me towards reasonable insurance options going forward for more comprehensive protection.When I got the rings, I was even more excited, they looked great. I was very pleased with the workmanship and so was my Fiancé (when I finally popped the question). I wanted to put pictures on this review, but with the ring being custom my Fiancé is afraid the design would get stolen, Ha! Sorry guys, no design details here.To wrap up, I just want to throw out a couple details about the whole process or things to keep in mind if you go the same route I did. Hopefully they’re helpful.1) Sierra West did ask for a deposit before they worked on the CAD. This was probably my least favorite part of the process, since two other jewelers I visited offered free CADs. Still, this wasn’t a huge deal to me because by that time I had already settled on Sierra West, however it still would have been a slightly better experience if they had offered a free CAD. To be fair, maybe I could have asked for a free CAD and they would have provided it, I’m not sure. I was probably a higher maintenance customer and perhaps they just wanted to know I wasn’t wasting their time.2) It took about 3 weeks between initiating the CAD, getting a final production version, dropping off my center stone, and picking up the finished product.3) If you buy a separate center stone, you’ll have to insure it before they’ll set it. This wasn’t an issue for me, and I understood why they had this policy.4) You can’t return a custom ring. If you go the custom route, you ought to either be really confident she’ll say yes, or have more money than you know what to do with.If youre in the market give Sierra-West a try, chances are you can get exactly what you want. They really were the best value and their flexibility made a huge difference for me!

I chose to customize the ring design, and the staff bent over backwards to make sure the ring was exactly how I wanted. This is a difficult review for me. The ring itself was absolutely beautiful but the process and the customer service was lacking in a huge way. We chose this place because of the reviews and now realize that they are only high because they bribe people with free jewelry for good reviews. I think that if a company strives for greatness, they dont need to incentivise reviews from customers. Every time I walked in I felt looked down on and uncomfortable. I have been in sales for several years and know that honesty, kindness, and integrity is how the best salesmen and woman achieve greatness. I truly hope that this review will help the company see that customer service should be just as important as quality. When a person is making a decent sized financial decision, they should be extremely comfortable. REVIEWS SHOULD BE EARNED BY GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE NOT BRIBES!

Ive had a wonderful experience with Sierra West. I ordered mostly over the phone and their customer service was always on top of things. I walked in to get my ring when it was delivered to the location closest to my house and they treated me like I was a long time friend and everything was in my best interest. Theres nothing shady about Sierra West at all and I dont normally review, but if youre stuck between Sierra West and another company, Sierra definitely makes its value with low prices, customer perks, and overall quality.

Sierra- jewelers is a fabulous place. We had purchased our wedding bands at this store a few years ago but this June they won my loyalty for life. Earlier this year I tragically lost my engagement ring and both of my tracer wedding bands in a freak snowboard accident (on my birthday no less). Luckily I had the rings insured but actually finding my original settings with my original stone quality was a bit of a challenge. I was very insistent on recreating the ring exactly as it had been. There were several settings that were similar to my original that my insurance company felt I should be happy to settle with. However, I wanted my exact ring. Call me a diva if you will but I knew what I wanted. Luckily, I went and talked to Fred at S-W and he immediately put me at ease and was confident we could find good quality stones and more importantly recreate the ring exactly as it was based on old photos I happened to have of the ring. His team created CAD drawings (3D reconstructions) of the ring and happily took my corrections and tweaks into consideration to make the ring exactly as it was before. There was a slight change in the size of the center stone but that was all my doing. I couldnt resist the step up in the center stone when Fred found me a screaming deal on an amazing cut/clarity. Other than that the ring looks the same and I almost feel like I never lost it. Fred and his team took a heart breaking moment in my life and turned it into a relatively painless occurrence. And did I mention that he did all this on a tight time crunch so I could have the ring back in time for a special trip with the hubs? 5 billion stars for Fred and the gang at S-W in Murray!! You guys are da best!!!!!!

I called Sierra-West and explained the situation. Mary told me to come in and that she would make sure I got taken care of in time before I had to leave the state for the wedding. These were some of the NICEST people Ive ever worked with, and they got everything done within 2 days for me. We were pleasantly surprised when my fiancé tried on the ring that I ended up purchasing. It wasn’t anything like she thought it would be, but she knew it was the one.Kathy is incredibly knowledgeable and has been so helpful. She worked with the designer to get the ring made in white gold and she even asked them to do a custom band negative turned out just as my fiancé had imagined.We couldn’t be happier! I would definitely recommend going to either the Murray or Sandy locations!

Went into Sierra West Jewelers and talked with Jerry. Very helpful did a test and made sure all was well. Will be going back.

We bought my ring from Sierra West in January. The service was great. I love my unique ring! Because my finger is so small they had to resize the ring which caused a few small side diamonds to fall out. I panicked but, true to their word, Sierra West replaced all of them and reenforced my prongs at no cost to me. They are good honest people.
