Been here a couple of times. Nice folks here, my only issue is that none of the games seem to work. They are either shutdown completely or they suck up coins with nothing in return. I would at least appreciate an out of order sign to know which ones my daughter should avoid.

Brought my family here for the first time and man did my kids have fun! The gentleman at the counter was super friendly and for the price you cannot beat it. Inside could us a slight updating but overall they had very nice skates and the outside is nice too. We will be going back!

Worst place to take a child to skate. All the arcade game where broke. Music is not appropriate for any child. The staff was rude. My child went to play skee ball and the machines were broke. So I asked for a refund on my tokens the manager is rude could not help me and told me I had to spend the money on machines that did not work.

This place is garbage. They dont have any food unless you are with a party. The games are broken, the dollar changer dont work. The employees are too busy socializing to help you. Dont waste your money. What a joke. Omg they have cockroaches.

Most of the staff was incredibly friendly. Clean facility. My only issue was the concessions employee ignoring us when I just wanted two slushies. That wouldnt stop me from going back.

Best place to ever take your kids and family. My 30 yr old and my other 3 older children went thers now my 12 and 1t year old go there live the security compassion the owner gives to the child. Also a very safe place

My husband and I have been going here since we were little kids. Now our children are having the chance to experience the fun we had when we were their age. They have fixed the carpet from the last time we were there!! No holes, so no one tripped over old carpet or from running into the walla because we were skating too fast!! Haha, such good memories. The price over all to get in is lovely for the budget only $8 for you to get in and to skate. If you didnt wanna skate and you get in free for just being an adult. Only have to pay for the kids and the shoes. Just beautiful! The food is amazing. They havent changed the bathroom much but I cant complain it brought back memories. Haha!!! Its a great place to go and experience with your kids!!!

My kids really like coming here but I hate when I have to order concessions and I have to deal with the less than friendly girls at the counter. Every time we come. I see other customers get different treatment however. I just try to ignore it and realize that Im there because my kids are oblivious and are having a great time!

I give it 5 stars bc they were very helpful and made me a temporary split 🪓 for my wrist. I was tripped from the back by a envious young teenager. When I fell I broke my wrist in 6 places... They emedialy came to help. I wanna thank the nurse for her time and effort & her daughter for letting me know what happened. She was right behind me when. And whitnessed the whole thing. Other than that this is a great place for fun... You always have to keep your eyes open . Because people will trip u and run you over. Ty so much to the staff ⚕️⚕️⚕️ they were very helpful making a split out of a cardboard box and medical tape n directed me to the nearest ER. The older man who works the ticket window even walked me out.... Thats called professional and concern. Ty so much for all your help. I will b having surgery in a few days to put pins in.so be really careful and keep eyes 👀 open. Thanks again .... Oh and we were a long way from home also. I haven’t been back here in a long time, because me and my brother was going there and he had to take his headband off but nobody else had to like really?

This place is kind of a joke compared to the skate center in Smyrna. The very few games they have don’t work. The concession doesn’t have food stocked appropriately. It took them 40 minutes to cook a pretzel. The floor guards aren’t guarding anyone. Little kids are being knocked down by bigger kids.Skating is fun usually but there’s a lot of things not going well there which makes me want to take my kids to Smyrna or Brentwood instead. There might be 4 games on out of the 12 or so actually in the building. Super odd for an entertainment place.

Fun skate with a decent wood floor, slightly slicker than some, so softer wheels are nice.

Love this place i go with my friends all the time and we race and do the hocky pokie its so fun!

I used to love skating here, but I tried to go recently and I felt so uncomfortable that I had to leave early. There were 40-50 people all crammed into this tiny rink and no one was wearing a mask. There was also debris on the rink and I took a pretty nasty fall due to unclean floors. I hope they get their act together. I will not be returning until TN Covid cases start declining.

Many rules...would not let me adjust the wheels to slow them down so my son could have better controlUFood n drinks in designated area but no one cleaning up the area for next.folks to sit with food and or drink

It is a place were out can really skate and find your group, with a little bit of effort you can meet some really good friends and play games. It may be small but it is awesome, if you say otherwise you have a bad sense of judgement

Fun place and good time to skate.. they just desperately need to fix up the bathrooms. The girls bathroom is in rough shape and one of the stalls doesn’t have a door it just has a white shower curtain. But overall fun time for the family.

Just wish there was like adult hours so I dont have to worry about tripping or running into a kid

My kids love this place but it really needs an upgrade, half the arcade games dont work! We dump change into the ones that do work written my youngest who doesnt like to skate while we wait for the older 2 to get tired. It would be great if the others worked.

I always have fun here. My friends and I are basically a court of people, and we’ve marked this as our designated weekend hangout spot. Every time we go, we go as soon as they open and leave right when they close. The music is always great, the food is good, and everyone I know loves it! If you’re considering looking for a place to have a couple hours of weekend fun with friends or an enjoyable date night (great place for it), definitely look into this one! The staff is always on their game and very friendly with customers. Limbo and the other activities are really fun, but I do wish they’d add the Cupid Shuffle! Wonderful skate center though, it’s always as neat as possible!

My friends and I love this place and we go quite often. Typically we get in the building just fine (one of my friends $12 and the other $11 due to the difference in skates) but this time was very different. This time the guy working the front told us a different price than what we usually pay the FIRST time we went in. Then we got money from our friend who was already in the building. We went back in and the man said we still didnt have enough. Luckily there was a very kind lady who lended us three bucks. We said thank you (all three of us) and the man working the front very rudely said we needed to thank her more, so we did. We then handed him the money, Ill be honest it was a little bit of a chaotic stack but we were in the middle of flattening it out then he practically yelled at us asking if thats how we hand money to people and we said no and started flattening it faster. Overall this was a horrible experience and I love this place but this really ruined my night and honestly made me want to stop coming here. Do better.

The SCW has been a cornerstone of Murfreesboro for so many years! Positively focused on family friendly Fun. Birthday parties at the Skate Center West were always a great time back in elementary school. Kids walking into class with a stack of invitations were sure to be popular amongst their friends. I can still remember playing roller hockey, skate races, limbo, the skate shop... They take extra good care of the actual surface of the rink as well.

My kids loved this rink. All the employees were so nice and helpful. My 9 year old could not skate well so they have there a little trainers they skate with. It was clean and simple and no teen drama from what I seen. But I know this could all change on a Saturday night. But for a Sunday it was absolutely chill.

It was a fun inexpensive activity. The facility is clean and people were friendly. It was not glamorous or flashy, but it was a nice place for kids to meet up and have good clean fun and get some excercise.

This is a family fun center. Had so much fun here. They play music. Sometimes they have limbo contest, hokey pokey, and races. They offer rooms to hold parties in and also a snack bar with seating. Inside are the arcade games too. Overall, this place is a memory making machine!

I always loved coming here as a kid! And its a great place for family fun or (other) group outings. Would definitely recommend going to.

Most of the arcade games are broken. Kids working here need to put a smile on their faces. Everything else is fine.

Im glad to see a local favorite still up and running. My family and I have made many great memories here. I cant say I have any complaints. The staff is always super friendly and the facility is well maintained. We love that they support Kids Skate Free. If you dont know what that is, stop by and ask Doug for more information or you can go online and do a quick Google search.

Had a great visit here. Lots of fun. Met the owner, whos father opened this location many years before. He took the time to tell me about the history of the skating rink. I will definitely be back.

I dont like having the bounce house on the floor all of the time. We come here for my sons school skate night. The kids have a great time, and the staff are friendly, and helpful. The kids always have a great time!

When My kids went their when younger they got away with everything able to leave and come back as if they were their .use to eb no one leaves without parent coming in ....Do not leave your kids unattended their unless you want them educated on many levels and you dont mind your kids trying stuff like drugs . yes you use to could drop them off and come back and your kids be supervised and you felt ok while leaving them their but things have changed . so if you dont care nor mind that your kid will come home educated on things you havent taught them then leave them their unattended .

Smooth, nice sized floor. Rules/dress code can be a little excessive in my opinion though.

This is a blast from the past. Reminds me of a skating rink I went to in the late 80s. Great for young and old.

Took my daughter (4 yo)for her first time skating.. came sat night and realized quickly that it wasnt meant for the younger crowd.. teenagers with no supervision.. so we just came back Sunday afternoon.. much better for the little ones... $ to get in $ for skates that they would NOT tighten for my daughter doesnt time, $ for bounce house 3$ hour for a walker to help her out since they wouldnt tighten the skates.. (most places i been to in the past charge 3$ a whole day). My daughter just jumped in the bounce house the whole time cause she was so frustrated with the skates being to loose.. overall a good time but make sure you bring extra cash

My daughter always has fun. But she did say she waited 30+ minutes for her $2 slice of cheese pizza lastnight. Her and my nephew. She has fun either way.

The skating was great...everything was clean...just beware there is not a changing table in this building. Also only half of the games work...they take your tokens just fine but no game play. Staff was friendly

Love the place but they have some of the most disrespectful workers ever. my daughter fell and left a huge bruise on her knee and the worker saw her fall, didn’t help her up, didn’t even ask if she was okay, and actually YELLED at her. she then proceeded to talk about it to her friends and laugh about it. the worker was a teenage girl with curly brown hair and other customers happened to say she is quite rude. would never go back if that girl was working. other then that it’s a fun place.

Very disappointing. I had called 3 or 4 times, yes most likely during the week, attempting to get details about rentals for availability of space, food, skates, etc. For my granddaughters birthday party because this is where she wanted to go. I listened to a recording at least 6 times in order to get info about prices for skating, times, rental of skates and such. For any other information, was only directed to Facebook page. I was never advised that you actually have to rent a room from them in order to be able for your party to have a birthday cake, or any other food or drinks for that matter. My granddaughter was actually not upset about it but I was, because her birthday cake was ruined from sitting out in the hot car. Just wish I could have been told about you having to rent a room to have a birthday party

Very negative experience here. Brought my 5 children, paid for their admission, 2 large (overpriced) pizzas and drinks. And as my children sat down to eat my sons homemade birthday cake, the manager came over and told them they couldnt eat it. He said we should have paid for a party. For my own family? We all just left the cake awkwardly untouched in the middle of the table.

This place has been around for what seems like forever. It has nostalgia for the old timers of the city but the newest roller blades and pop music to skate to. Not too important to me, but can the arcade games be fixed or just taken out? and/or not make them so pricey to play?

Am 15 and got kicked out for not wearing skates because I lost my ticket, they didnt call my parents which is illegal because it is a safe zone so my parents should be able to trust that I am safe, what if I got hurt after i was kicked out? They dont care. The manager thinks he is everything by talking down to kids. Dont bring your kids here.

This is one of the better rinks. Great management, great floor, good people and outstanding service. I have skated for 50 years, I know!

My kids enjoy going every Saturday, however the line is ridiculous. There is no order when trying to get inside. Groups of kids are skipping and pushing and just unruly. They need a better scam of admission. Its sat when skating begins at 730pm and your in a long line for 40 minutes. So instead of your children enjoying two and a half hours they get about an you because theres always a long line for refreshments. This is crazy. Staff is great and the place needs updating. But these long disorderly is horrendous.

We are new to Murfreesboro. My husband and I took our two girls to skate and asked the manager about Saturday nights. Our 11 year old loves to skate and if safe, we would let her come on Saturday nights. What a mistake! The manager told us that Saturday nights are usually middle schoolers and it is perfectly safe. It was over crowded, full of ghetto children, cursing, aggressive and dangerous. There was no supervision. My tiny 11 year old was confronted by a group of four bigger girls who said she pushed one of them. She said she didnt and they pushed her, slapped her and terrorized her. She reported to management who talked to them and let them go to continue harassing her. She ended up calling me to come get her and her friend. We will pass on this place at night.

Aged...and not in a good way. Rental equipment not in good shape. Rink is small. Setup is fairly dangerous with no barrier separating snack seating area from the rink and skaters. Snack bar doesnt take credit cards, and is very slow. Silly, nonsensical rules like you cant wear a hat backwards. That one is just weird. But worse than all of that - one of the managers is a genuinely nasty and bitter person. Cant even have normal conversations with him, because he is hyper-defensive.My wife and I used to bring our 3 kids and their friends here, just because its the only rink in Murfreesboro. But, weve just had too many bad experiences, so we wont be back. Essentially any other rink is worth the drive. Regular public ice skating hours at Ford Ice Center are even worth the extra miles to get a premium facility, staff, amenities and food.Strongly considering opening a skating rink in Murfreesboro because this place is just that bad. A new rink would take all their business overnight as its clear they only have customers because there are no other options.

Alot of kids without parents but kids were very behaved, doesnt seem nor feel as a hostile environment. My daughters loved it!
