My company has used Republic Service for many years 30+. They are always professional and my Account Rep Jason Switzer is amazing. He is quick to react to our requests and he is on top of everything about our account. I email my needs to him or call and it is taken care of. I like their online services where we can schedule pick ups, take care of billing, etc. It is very easy. Jason stays on top of our account renewals and pricing. He calls me when it is time to renew our contract and he does his best to keep pricing down. We are very happy with our service and I highly recommend Jason to anyone looking for a Rep!

There are so many negative reviews that I felt like I should share my positive experiences with Republic. Anytime Ive had to call, customer service has always been fantastic (sometimes there is a bit of a wait to talk to someone, though, so be prepared for that). Once they did raise the bill, but I called and got it sorted out. The price is cheaper than pretty much anywhere else, for the large cans anyway (we have a large household and use two of the big cans). Recently, our cans were getting old and both had several dents and holes (damage just from getting regularly picked up by the garbage truck arm week after week for several years). They still functioned, but the holes let in flies and such. So I called and asked if we could get two new cans, and the following week, we were delivered two shiny new garbage cans without hassle. Pickup is reliable, weve never had a missed pickup, and all is well. Before this we used a smaller company that ended up going out of business and not telling their customers (who remembers THAT debacle??), so I feel safe going with a big national company. Never had any major issues, and customer service has always been top notch for me.

Wow is all I can say!!! Our establishment had experienced a horrible service with Waste Management; they tore our parking lot to pieces with no apology or anything. We went a while debating a new service as we were in turmoil about our prior experiences. Then came Samantha Wiley, with Republic. Reached out to me with the best quote and delivery fee to help our small family and operated establishment. Here’s the deal-breaker... SHE HAD THE DUMPSTER DELIVERED THE FOLLOWING DAY and encouraged us to reach out for any further questions or need. THIS WAS SERVICE! And what May had seemed so simple to her, was the world to us. She definitely has our vote! Good job, Republic!

As a small business owner, I require on going general waste removal . I had used Waste Management in the past but their fees became too high and I found their customer service very automated and unfriendly. So I contacted Republic and have been delighted with the personal, professional service I have received. Their fees are close to half of what Waste Management charges and their customer service is much better. I would strongly recommend Republic for anyone looking for general waste removal.

They will raise your bill without notice. Mine went up $30. When I cancelled, I turned off autopsy and deleted my bank info yet they were still able to charge my account after I had cancelled. When I called about it, they said it would take 6-8 weeks to get my money back than tried blaming it on COVID. I asked customer service how they were able to charge my account and all she said was “I don’t know” so that makes me feel real safe knowing somehow they have my bank info

After 5 years of service with this company (my mistake) and after 5 years of every billing cycle noticing an increase, Our price began at $55 and increased each cycle, to finally accumulate $103. I had called once before and was told that the increase was due to rising fuel costs and at that time fuel was the lowest it had been since 2008! Even after I cancelled, I received calls and invoices for services that hadnt even happened yet. Customer service had no idea that I had even cancelled, but did remove the charges and back date the invoice, so that was nice. Anyway, I would not recommend this company for any type of waste removal. There are too many local companies doing this now that offer lower rates and better service.

I was a customer for over 5 years until I finally called about the raising prices. What started around $55 every 3 months in the beginning turned into over a $100 every 3 months and once we finally got a price elsewhere they then decided to price match the other company only to cancel our service a week later due to the road being “unsafe”. So for the past 5 years they had no issue with collecting my money and trash until we finally asked for a fair price then they decide to cancel.Also before they say anything about the road I live on being unsafe due to them having to back up on 96 well on several occasions they did back up in my driveway to turn around and I had no problem with so as long as my trash was picked up.So in the future for this company I recommend giving a notice to cancel services and increasing rates.

Been a customer +10 yrs and the cost of trash pickup for 1 can has gone from $45 for 3 months to over $100! My neighbor who signed up after us, is paying $50 for 2 cans and has never had a rate increase. I call each time and was told it was for gas costs and other fees, etc. But that it shouldnt keep happening each billing cycle and promised to adjust my bill. This hasnt happened yet, just more increases so Im officially done with these lying thieves. All others thinking of becoming clients should beware and run the other way!

Weve had this service for 4 years. Over that time, the price increases have outweighed the convenience. They want nearly $90 every 3 months for 1 regular trash pick up. So we have decided to do our own trash and recycling since we bought a truck. I go to call and cancel services and cant even get a person! I dont even know how to cancel if I cant speak with someone.The good thing is we have never had issues with their service.

Ever since I started using Republic Services for my weekly trash pick up their price has steadily rose without any notice whatsoever. Over less than 2 years the price I paid went from $73 to $104 per quarter and Im sure that price would have continued to rise if I didnt cancel. When I cancelled they told me I would have 1 final invoice for $30 to pick up the can. I was ok with that. Then the invoice came and its for almost $48 which was the $30 can pick up charge and then another $18 in fees that shouldnt be on this invoice. I called customer service and the only thing they can tell me is that it is what it is and to just pay it. This is not an acceptable business practice. If I was looking for a trash pick up company to use I would look elsewhere or take it to the dump yourself.

This company is a joke. They charge for the initial can I understand. never notified about a can removal charge. How do you charge more for removal than original drop off of can. not to mention why do I have to pay to have the can removed at all once paying to get the actual can. not to mention I cancelled my services as we were moving. the can was not picked up when we left. then we get a bill after the original final bill saying we owe more money. I dont think so. clearly the people who moved in used the can as I was told there was a full can with bags along side as well. not my fault you didnt pick up the container. I have tried to resolve with the company and no luck they have now turned me to collections and I have disputed that as well. crooks is what these people are.****UPDATE*****EMAILED THE LINK SENT TO MY REVIEW. Do not go with Republic Services! They are horrible from the start. Had to argue with them that I lived in the county then their app said I could sign up for bulk pickup but found out after no one showed up that they don’t offer it in my area despite being able to sign up. When I told the rep I was able to sign up through the app o was told the app isn’t that good and it doesn’t tell you your not qualified to have a service. Really?! Then every quarter the price was going up but all they could say is that it was based on my area up charging. Finally got a bill for $3 after I paid for the quarter. Called and was told it was an up charge for the quarter changing prices. Cancelled them to then find out there is a $30 charge to cancel and for them to pickup the can which I had to pay for to have delivered! I asked if I could just drop it off myself since I do not think I should be charged to cancel and was told there are no other options. The customer service is no better than what goes in their cans. I would never recommend them and in fact advised my neighborhood in our facebook group. Multiple homes are following me to another company. I can’t believe you would charge so much and offer so little.

If I could give it zero stars I would. I pre-paid for a year of service in June. I just received a bill. I called and Rebecca- who was extremely rude and should not be in customer service at all went over my account. She transferred me so I could cancel the service. The next lady I spoke to said that whoever signed me up for service put me on quarterly billing so I was responsible for rate increases and extra fees, even though I pre paid for a year worth of services. I explained to her that it didn’t make sense for me to pre pay for a year if my rate wasn’t locked in. She said “Well I can’t prove what went on in the original phone call.” I was waiting for an email to be sent about the cancellation and she hung up on me. I tried to call back and I could not get ahold of anyone, so I selected the call back option. No one called me back by the end of the day like it stated. Terrible customer service, terrible way to scam people out of money, just a terrible company all around. I can also see that I’m not the first and I won’t be the last review to say the same.

Multiple fee increases without permission until it was almost triple what I signed up for. Regularly missed pickups. Continued to bill me once I cancelled service and was rude when I called them on it. Charged a huge fee to pick up their can. Stay away from them!

We ordered a dumpster for personal use and waiting all day on the delivery. No one ever showed up. I called the office and was transferred three times (very rudely) without being told to hold or let me now i was being transferred... and then I was told my order was canceled due to low power lines, (untrue) and that my road is to busy and driver deemed unsafe. They service my neighbors address. The driver never stopped or called to let us know any of this. Just canceled our order. If I wouldn’t have called Over and over I wouldn’t even known any of this. I should have took these reviews seriously and not wasted my time! I am a real customer with a real experience!!! If there is anyone else possibly to use skip this place! Customer service is terrible and they can service my neighbor and say they can’t service my address due to busy road. Sounds like a lazy driver who did not want to deliver the dumpster... what a waste of time!!!

New customer this month, not happy so far. Called in December to start January 1st. Inquired about pricing and fees. Was told that there would be a $60 charge on the first bill for delivery of containers. We signed up for Waste and Recycling. 1st bill was for 3months service, just got an additional bill for $95 --container delivery. Called customer service to inquire, no help. So if you are planning on getting this service make sure you are informed about all the hidden fees.Edit -- Someone from Repbulic reached out to me and resolved my issue. I appreciate them following up with me to make things right. Hopefully no further issues in the future.

Left trash all over yard on pick-up three or four times.Didnt provide bulk pickup (which they advertise as a perk) in my area when I live less than a mile from their office and the dumpCharged a $30 can collection fee upon termination that turned into $47 because of some bogus reversal fee. The reversal fee occurred because they charged me twice one quarter. When I called to notify them, they gladly took off the extra payment. However, little did I know that on the next bill I would have to pay a fee to reverse the second payment..... on something that was their fault to begin with.I recommend to completely stay away from Republic.

If you think it’s so easy, I’d sure like to know what you do for a living.All that being said they still have a lot of work to do.Their are to many hard working Americans that are still not being paid any where near what they should be.The economy has been on the rise. I had service with them for 3 years until the yearly rate kept climbing more with each renewal. My husband called and cancelled our service asked did we need to return the can or would they pick it up. We were advised to leave it empty in the pick location on a certain date and it would be picked up. So can was gone and I start getting bills calls and emails for a balance. Well seeing that no trash was collected from our home after our renewal date my husband calls. He is told the balance is for container pick up....really...never once were we told about such charges or we would of delivered the can to you ourselves. We live 10 mins max from your landfield...we had your service until the cost out weighed the convenience. About the only positive thing i can say is in the 3 years only time our Friday pick up was missed was 1 time. Delayed to Saturday for holidays and maybe we had 1 or 2 bad misses but it was gotten around to eventually. The cans got slung around all the time trash got left on the ground when the operator decided to jerk the can up....just save your money and haul your own trash that you cant burn or compost yourself this company quickly turned to dollaring its customers to death.

We have had decent service with this company for the last 15 years. Due to outrageous price increases we have decided to take our business elsewhere. I was informed today that they are charging me $30 to pickup their can. We live 4 miles from the business, EXCESSIVE fee for a 4 mile trip, a perfect example of why they are losing this long time customer.The story gets worse - we just received our invoice for $50 to pick up the can! They interrupted my services in September and then charged me all the way to November. Meaning they charged me for services they didnt provide. I would recommend choosing another provider who has a little bit more integrity. The customer service personnel are unwilling to assist beyond collecting a payment.

I had the service for my business and then relocated. I was proceeding to obtain a different dumpster service to start at the new shop. My first week our doors were open I was confronted by a Republic employee about my cancellation. I found it to be innopropriate and unprofessional. Republic is a big company. Why should losing my service matter so much that their representative comes to my place of business and confronts and questions my choice to stop using them? Then the man proceeds to bash the company I’m choosing by making them seem terrible.It’s insulting. No one should feel they need to defend themselves for stopping service. Republic Service please don’t bother sending anymore representatives to my shop! Maybe utilize your time better by teaching better customer service.

This company is incompetent, untrustworthy, unreliable, and has horrible customer service. They will start you out around $57 for 3 months of service and continue to increase there rates on you. When you call each month asking why they say the gas prices have increased. But your bill will continue to rise. We stayed with them for almost 3 years and when we cancelled our bill for 3 months was $120. We only have 2 adults in our house hold and don’t accumulate much trash. When you cancel they will try to reduce your bill but will bill you for a quote much higher than they say over the phone. It will end in hassle after hassle and you will regret ever signing up with them. We take our own trash off and it costs us nothing but trash bags. Good luck!

I was happy until they took my trash can for no reason. When I called and asked (after waiting on hold for almost 30 minutes) they said the dont know why it was taken and were sorry. Theyd drop another can off on my trash day, meaning is miss a week of pick up. Irritared, I said okay and waited. Trash day came and went. No trash can was dropped off. Tried calling and hung up after being on hold for 45 minutes. This is ridiculous. I have to take my trash to the dump now. Im currently paying for a service Im not receiving.

Republic was constantly raising their prices. When we called to cancel our services it took 5 separate phone calls to successfully cancel. Each time they said that they couldnt see that our services have previously been cancelled. We finally got our service cancelled, then they started trying to charge us for services during the 5 attempts weve made to cancel our services. They waived those fees after repeatedly explaining that we had previously cancelled. They gave a specific date that they would pick up the trash cans, they were 3 days late for pickup. They then proceeded to state that we must pay for the pickup after the fact. When confronted about this and requesting a signed contract stating that we agreed to these terms they stated that they do not do contracts for residences. We are currently acquiring an attorney to pursue a resolution. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR REPUBLIC!

They have been on point with our trash... Even if our payment is late they still get it. The best and most reliable disposal service by far in murfreesboro area and weve tried a few! Super happy with them and we have been using them since May. Anytime a holiday falls on a Monday they run a day later so they have always been consistent which is a big deal for us. They even get all the extra garbage that on occasion wont fit in the can. Thanks republic!

Called because wheel came off 96 gallon container. I have had same container for 6 years. I was able to drag to curb and sprained my knee doing so. I left the broke wheel on container thinking they would take care of it. They just left it and did nothing. Called next dat to get a working one and they said it would be next week, and it was my job to get it to curb or they would not take it. Spoke to both India and er supervisor Alex. They refuse to just come out and switch to trash day. They didnt mind raising my bill from $62 to $83 to $104 so far this year though. This is the most uncustomer friendly business I have ever deal with. Should be zero stars for rating.

They will start you out at around 40-60 dollars for a single can pickup. Within 6 months the price will double. You can call, complain, and then they will adjust the price back down. Then after 6 more months the price is back up to double.They will charge you 25 dollars to bring the can to you and then over 40 dollars to remove it. You have no choice.Find a more reputable service that stays fair.

Terrible cancel experience. Charged me $47 to cancel services. According to the sales agent, it was $30 to pickup one trash can and $17 diesel tax (that they pass on to you). I’ve never paid that much to “just cancel” a service because I’m moving. CRAZY!!!!

Gave me incorrect quote for 40 yard dumpster for delivery next business day. Next day no dumpster and no phone call regarding issue. I called again and they said dumpster not delivered due to wrong quote . THE WORST!!... The service fee continues to go UP while the service quality continues to FAIL... My bill has almost doubled within the past few years. Thats partly due to these imaginary fees they now charge that other service providers dont. Ive had nothing but issues with them. It took me 3 request just to get a container delivered after they absolutely demolished mine, by slamming it to the ground... I recently scheduled for my container to be picked up, as I have had enough (after 10 years). Low and behold, they remove the container from my property BEFORE the scheduled date, leaving me with nothing to put my trash in although I still have one more trash run that Ive already paid for. Our construction company has a dumpster that we have pre-paid for all services in advance. We have had to call for over two weeks and still can not get the dumpster emptied and returned. I have talked to five separate CSRs and they have all promised a return call within 24 hrs and to date no one from the company has ever call. Repeated missed pickups. When you call in the customer service rep submits your request then gives you a new date for pick up. Well, that gets missed as well. I live in a townhome complex and there will be 30-40 cans in the alley and neighbors on each side get picked up and mine missed somehow. Frustrating to call what you think is a local number only to find out you are routed to Indianapolis or Charlotte.

I was incorrectly quoted. They took $227 out of my account. My trash was suppoaed to be picked up Wednesday...here it is Saturday my trash still has not been picked up. As far as the overcharge they claim that my Republic svc account would be credited. I dont need that credit. I need my bank account to be credited. Scheduling a compactor pick up does not mean they will actually come pick it up. I scheduled for Friday pickup, they did not show up. It is now Monday, and despite repeated calls and having it already scheduled for the previous week, they have me to pick up on Tuesday. That is four days after it was scheduled, and now my compactor is overflowing with four days worth of trash and no end in sight. Horrible business practices.Update-I scheduled an open top dumpster for delivery on December 26th (I scheduled this back on December 12th). I called to confirm the delivery on December 22nd. Was told the dates I requested were in the system. No open top dumpster delivered on December 26th and when I call to find out what is going on they have no record of my order in the system. Ridiculous.

Complete idiots!! I’ve been told 3 times now that my can would be replaced due to a broken lid and cracked can that they broke and 3 times a new can never showed up. The call center is a bunch of complete moron!

Beware!!! Charge not only to deliver containers but to pick them up when you cancel!!!! $26 per container.... ridiculous!!! No one else does this!.
