They send a letter saying to call to set up an appointment for child support, so I call and it rings 3 times and a fake recorded message plays saying the number is no longer in service. So I decided to drive to the office and they got a sign on the door saying its closed but plenty of workers are here.They are really trying hard to screw people over.

Called this child support office about 5 months ago. I have my son full time since he’s been in school and now he’s in the 4th asking them to set up another court date because the father of my child only pays 44.00 a month and yet still nothing has changed because I haven’t received any response back from this place

This office is HORRIBLE!!If I could give no star I would.On 7/31/19 the “Office Manager” hung up on me. Some of the staff members you speak to are sweet and helpful but the majority are extremely rude and short !I filed an application in December of 2018.The only time anything was done with my app (which was nothing)is when I called and asked to speak to a supervisor.First the excuse was my worker no longer works in the office.Then they claim they couldn’t get in touch w the other state involved but the other state has hear NOTHING from TN.The other day when I asked why my application has been sitting on someone’s desk for over 2 months I was told that the office deals with thousands of cases and they get to things when the can.I will most definitely be filing a complaint against this office because I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one that’s had issues with this office.

Horrible. They dont help. They talk down to you. All info on my case Ive given them. Im not sure what they are paid for but this place has been of no help at all. You call and your on hold for 10-15 mins at a time. Horrible people.

I have been extremely patient with the employees at this location, however they do not provide ANY assistance with anything!!! I have been waiting 4 days for a return call and still haven’t received it. I call the office and it rand for 3 minutes and no one picked up nor did I get a voicemail to leave a message. If I came to work and did NOT do my job I wouldn’t have a job! Please start doing your jobs!

This place and people are a joke..they have cost me over $10000 because they will not do there job and file paperwork.. instead they tell you that is not there job..they treat every man that comes through the door like a dead beat..its sad cause I have full custody of my son and they refuse to stop sending letters to my work and trying to garnish my check..I dont owe anything but they refuse to accept this..I have hired a attorney and planning on suing these idiots

I agree with the review below. This office doesnt even deserve a star. Looks like losing paperwork is the norm for these employees. My paperwork has been sitting on Courtneys desk for 2 months and at one point I was told my paperwork was missing. After calling and calling I was told my paperwork hasnt even been filled and they need me to provide an address for my ex boyfriend (as if I follow him around) and court documents that have nothing to do with child support. I thought investigating was part of their job. From what my ex says, the child support office hasnt called his phone. Id like to know what these employees are doing in that office. Im so frustrated with this office and the state of Tennessee.

Im happy with my results, on the efforts of my caseworker(s) and the ones in CA. Every time Ive called, on Wed (when they can TAKE calls), Ive gotten through. ANd as they have many, many cases to get through, you have to be the one who contacts them. I am seeing the results of MY pursuing it....even though it is BACK support he still owes, theres absolutely no reason he shouldnt still pay it. And its paid off....much to his chagrin, Im sure. Be understanding, dont be rude to them and know they can only do so much.

If I could give them zero stars I would. It took them over 2 years to finalize my case and get me a court date. Then, I was unable to get the 2 years of arrears due to them filing incorrectly. Now, I cant even attempt to file a complaint (to the court) to dispute their screw-up without paying a $400 filing fee and court costs. This child support office is a joke!Ive dealt with two other child support offices before and NEVER had any issues.

I have been active in the system since 1994. Still waiting for child support / back support. Its now the year 2019.

This office is private business not a government business. So who ever wants can sue them. So people start sueing them so we can change things. And start video recording them and posting it. They sued PCC lets do the same with these people. The hole office are liers and crooks they should be jailed.

A star isnt even neccessary for this place. Ive recorded my phone calls and kept up with my receipts for proof of payments that they seem to have lost. No one seems inclined to want to work. every phone call Ive made, Ive gotten the run around. Do your freaking job! Given all of the bad reviews, we were tentative about reaching out to this local Murfreesboro office to assist us with correcting my husbands child support arrears balance. We were on the verge of paying an attorney we consulted with, a couple thousand dollars to work with Child Support Services to get the arrears balance owed corrected. There have been many court order modifications over the years that caused consistent decreases to his child support payment due to increased visitation over the years with the children; Unfortunately, the child support payment decreases were never updated in the system / nor accurately reflected which caused the arrears balance to increase over the years inaccurately. God was on our side when we decided to call the child support office after sending documentation / proof of payments for the last 8 years and ended up speaking with Melanie. Im writing this review with tears in my eyes and with all sincerity. Melanie is a true BLESSING! She reassured us and followed through immediately with reviewing the documentation which resulted in a correction to our arrears balance reflecting thousands of dollars having been paid leaving only a little over one third of the original balance left to pay. Melanie has promised to mail out the new corrected balance calculation for our records. I have to have faith, trust and believe she will honor her word and mail this out because she has followed through on her promises thus far. Amen! I thank God my husband and I decided to look past the reviews and call the office direct and have our own experience with this office. We were blessed with the opportunity of meeting Melanie who does care!! God blesses those who do the right thing! My husband is NOT a deadbeat father and takes care of his children beyond reproach and Melanie was able to see that and made sure he received the proper credit for his responsible actions. The take away for this post is what you put out in the universe is what you get back. If you treat others well (this office with respect) you will receive respect in return. If you have proper documentation, patience, and respect, Melanie and her team will assist you as best they can. I even made them aware of the bad reviews they have on Google, Melanie had no idea and actually cared enough to go take a look at them. Melanie wants to change the image of this office. Now that shes aware and knows the old saying goes Now that I know better, I will do better and I honestly believe she will work with this office to do better, but remember guys they are only as good as the information/ documentation and respect you provide them to work with!

I wish I could give them a negative star. This place is an absolute joke!!! Their staff are not only rude and lack knowledge, but they are no help whatsoever either. They are lazy and do not want nor care to properly do their jobs. They would rather watch a parent suffer, and let the other party get away with not paying; than actually take control and do some work. The CHILDS well being is not in their best interest. This office has major internal issues with staff having lack of knowledge and of policy. I have had several run ins with them over things they should have had full knowledge of. They stressed me many of times over things that should have never happen. Also the excuse of there are so many cases and so forth should be a indication that there should be more people to staff the growth.Mothers and Fathers do you realize this is review 30 (ive read all saying the same thing about said office) and no one has really researched the lack of responsibility of this office. Like everything in the Court system in Murfreesboro its falling on Def ears with a lack of responsibility by those whom are responsible for monitoring this office. That is the Truth! Do some research on the short comings of this office and you will see there are years of complaints and judges are aware but nothing has been done to fix the issue. Start to contact your gov officials if you want this to change. Otherwise it will continue as it has for years...

1 star review is to much for this office. I have literally been trying to have my daughter removed from my child support case for 2 years now as she had graduated high school. I have been calling everyday for the past 3 weeks to speak to my worker about this, she seems to be in meetings everytime I call. This office has employed a bunch of people who are only there for a paycheck, they could care less! I would rather die and go to hell than to keep dealing with such people. Just awful awful awful. FYI this is NOT the only issue I have ever had with these people!

Id really give one star but thats not an option. They dont do much to help or enforce the child support order. Ive been going back and forth almost every other year and nothing. How does one get by with owing 5,000+ and nothing is done. Attorneys are expensive but its worth the money to have someone that will fight for you and your child or children! Even sadder when providing for your kid is optional when you are the non custodial parent. Im mommy 365 days a year and I cant pick and choose when I want to care and provide for my kIds.

So this office is not the greatest when it comes to getting information on cases or returning calls however they are over a lot of cases so im sure they are busy! Now let me tell you my case is all kinds of crazy to say the least but there is one lady in that office who has helped my family and I more in 2 days then anyone has in the last 7 months! Be patient and keep calling you might get her on the phone too! Dont hold all accountable for ones actions! If she ends up reading this i hope she knows she helped my oldest son out tremendously!

Seems most have the same exact experience out of this place. They really need to do a Undercover Boss at this place. The Rutherford County Child Support office is the worst one I have EVER dealt with! The workers there are there for a pay check only!!!!!!!!!!!! I did not want to rate them at all, even 1 star is too good!

Case worker seems pretty rude and rushed by the time she calls back. Call hold is ridiculous. Is there not a higher division that could respond and take care of what needs to be done asap??Like we are really stuck waiting on these people to take care of business smh..

I wish i could have their job! the only way you can get in touch with these lazy people is to not pay child support. then if your lucky you will get a call that usually ends up with threats of taking your license or putting you in jail... but still you never actually get to talk to anyone. just back and forth with voice mails and messages left with the front desk that if had been delivered in the first place, would have averted all this unnecessary deliberate and already frustrating process. i know it has 1 star but you literally cant give a thumbs down anymore

Last time that I dealt with this STATE AGENGY was 5 yrs. ago and they said that I owed almost $30,000 in arrears. Admittedly it was actually $6,400. When I questioned the descrepancy, the case worker knew immmediately that I was no idiot and found the ERROR in literally seconds. If I was stupid, I have no doubt this STATE AGENCY would have stuck me with over $25,000 that I did not owe. When I went to court the STATES ATTORNEY still was off over $4,000. When the judge asked me if this amount was correct, I answered no mam . She instructed me to step down from the stand and consult with the STATES ATTORNEY which I gladly did. It also took her literally seconds to correct her figures, wrote that figure on the court papers and asked me does that look about right to you? . I responded Im not going to argue about it. because it was ball park. She got her figures from Rutherford Co., Tn. DHS, Division of Child Support. Have your ducks in a row when dealing with this STATE AGENCY.

I really wish that I didnt have to leave the star. Nothing but headaches come from this office. My ex was supposed to be served to go to court so they could start taking money straight from his check, I have been to court now twice and he has yet to be served.

How can we get a petition going to our local congressman or city about our Govt services not doing their jobs for Mom and Dads that pay there child support and for those that dont. I am on the phone now with this office and they put me on hold for about 10 mins now. Why do our tax money go to services that dont help anyone that really needs it. Just imagine if this was a 911 service that doesnt call you back or put you on hold when a real emergency is happening. They need to hire people that really care about their jobs.

Lets see, you cant walk in and speak to someone without an appointment...yet, you cant get through on the phone...so you call after business hours and you cant leave a message...See a pattern here? This service should be reported to a government authority. There is not enough room to type just how this agency cost me money and time. I have now hired an attorney to help because this agency FAILED! They had my case for over a year and I have yet to get a court date. Shame on them!!!

Dont answer calls, dont return messages, dont answer faxes, dont reach out to exs employer to withhold. He is now over 14K behind - shouldnt a bench warrant be out for his arrest? Maybe.. dont know because they wont return my calls, messages, etc (see above!).

Update to previous review. Apparently this office was sending documents to the wrong address. So, it’s not that they weren’t doing it. They just need to update their systems. They seem to know where to send documents to screw you up but not where to send documents to unscrew you up.

I have been trying to get child support enforced for years. I have spent approximately 25 total hours on hold waiting to speak to someone to get absolutely no more info then I had before. Ive gotten different answers to the same question. Ive been told we cant seem to find the info or get a call back from his workplace. I spent 5 mins and had ancontact name in his payroll, direct line, fax number and spoke to her directly. I delivered that information directly to case worker with still no help. Ive been told 4 income witholdings have been sent. Ive received only one notice as such. Why are these people even ordered to pay child support, if enforcement will not enforce it? There is no accountability. There is no follow through. Im now moving back to TN so I can deal with this in court. Why am I doing CSEs job? I am accountable to my children, I dont get to make excuses when they are hungry or need shoes, so why does everyone else get to make excuses to me when a judgement is in place? Because its a joke. Because the father and the state do not have to be held responsible. Because no one else is held accountable to my children except me. Period. This broken system only adds to the frustration we feel as parents trying to raise great kids, but financially get no help with no help from the system supposed to be helping us.

OMG!!!!! As relieved yet disgusted I am to know Im not the only one to experience the continued ignorance and troubles with this agency, it also saddens me to know there are so many of us. I have been dealing with TCS going on 8 years. I have been to court literally 9 times over the years with no results due to the fact he was not there any of those times. They say its because he was never actually served, only mailed a court date to the address on file. Which makes absolutely no sense because when this first started I did everything but walk him through their front door, providing addresses all of the ten times he moved, places of employment (when he actually had a job) and my favorite was when I called to ask if they could serve him in jail and got the response ABSOLUTELY... However, he was in jail at 940 for over a year but conveniently never served. I just dont understand how you can keep a job if its more than clear you take no pride in that job and are flat out lazy at completing it. They want your help in locating the person and even threaten any help you may get if you dont help but what else can one person do and it only gets harder to help when over time you get further and further away from that person slowly losing mutual friends etc. NOW as if thats not enough my situation gets worse... My oldest son was 9 months old when I met my now husband and since then he has taken full responsibility for him and also had three little girls of our own. My husband was injured in an accident but against the doctors orders recently decided to go back to work to better support his family and then three weeks after starting his new job his first paycheck comes and the child support office had taken over 50% which we thought was illegal to begin with but when we called them they said it was taken out for child support ordered to me when not only have we never even been to court he is on my DHS case as well so I call throwing a fit because for one this resulted in us not being able to pay our car note and we also found out the taxes they took from him that we thought were for school loans went to Child Support as well for me but I have to this day not received a dime nor can anyone tell us where the money from the now past four paychecks has gone when supposedly it was for me????? So you lost our money which resulted in us now losing our vehicle but you also claimed we had a court date and after the lady was blue in the face telling me we had to of gone to court when I knew we hadnt she then proceeds to tell me that if neither of us went to court they may have just used the minimum for both of us and came up with an amount and we would have to go to court to fix it?????? I guess she had forgotten the conversation previously in regards to my ex when I stated I had gone to court 9 times missing work each of those days yet nothing was resolved so how do they pick and choose exacty? And why would they take money from a man who is currently providing for that family as well as someone elses child through the same agency?????? Does anyone understand all of the non sense I just wrote? I couldnt make this crap up if I wanted to!!!!

This place is awful. No one even tries to help you. I was told if he did not pay he was going to jail b/c he is so far in the hole. NO effort has been made at all.

The workers treat every effort as an imposition. Hate to say but its the stereoty[pical state employee. Whoever answers always sounds weary and tired, you are always put on an endless hold (I almost always end up hanging up after 20 minutes). But the winner is that they go out of their way to be unhelpful - even if youre theh payer.

I moved here 4 years ago. It took 3 to get my case moved. The moment it moved, my case fell to pieces. Maury County was prompt to file any paperwork and get in touch with the other party.

The head manager over needs to be fired I called 20 times no answer. They open at 8 and still no answer 30 minutes later then I drive there to find the door locked when they supppse to be open for the day. Sad they need to close this place.
