Was told Alignment appointments could not be made at this Budget Brakes do to only having one stall and its constantly busy. Was informed if I arrived at 7:30 am when they opened I could be in first spot and have work done. I arrived and was first in line..service was professional and everyone was great to work with. Service was fast and the price was great. Will be using their service for every alignment and more when I need the work. Thanks guys!! Your work was great and appreciated.

Budget Brakes at NW Broad St. in Murfreesboro, TN is by far the best location to go for services. The service I received exceeded my expectations by a long shot. The customer service was excellent. I had an appointment and they were ready for me upon arrival. I don’t know much about cars but the issues with my brakes and rotors was explained to me clearly and in terminology that was easy for me to understand. Going forward I am confident that I can trust this location for any work I need done; and I highly recommend if you choose Budget Brakes, choose this location!!

Steve was super helpful. I told him I needed everything done as cheap as possible so I could be safe on a trip the next day, and he did the inspection and told me exactly what I needed, and I didnt pay for anything I didnt need. Definitely go back to this place when I need brakes again.

Went to Budget Brakes to get new rotors and brake pads! They gave me the service for a great price. On top of that, I showed up 15 minutes before they closed, and they were kind and performed the service before close! I drove away in less than 20 minutes and my car was fixed!

Amazing service. First timer and the owner was awesome, he let me know the cost and sat and chatted with me time went by and the 2 gentlemen were done. Pulled my car out heard a small squeak and pulled it back in to check redone and she was done.. Thank you for fast and precise work.

IIve been here 3 times, and they take Forever to do anything. The Manager Steves is Rude and acts as if your bothering him. The second time I came here they had closed, 2 hours Early the day before a holiday, without a sign or website update. Id advise Anyone looking to get an alignment, to go elsewhere.

DO NOT go here unless it’s for the free brake inspection. After diagnosing my car as needing replacement brake pads and rotors he quoted me $700 out the door. After I said I’d have to think about it he said “I could probably get it down to $650” ….. I have a Chevy Cruze lol. I knew that didn’t sound right so I took it by Russel Automotive and paid $269 out the door. This place is a scam and rip off. Avoid at all costs.

We took our car in for brake work. They were so kind and courteous. They had our brakes repaired and our car ready to go in 45 minutes...wow! We even had to replace rotors. Great Customer Service and equally great workmanship! The price was lower than we had expected, too. I would definitely recommend Budget Brakes/Murfreesboro for any brake needs .

A budget brakes employee backed my son in laws car into a pole. They were never notified until months later from Progressive. Manager Steve said it was a “lack of communication”. We will never come here again, and I advise you to stay far away from this dishonest business.

We called this business about a simple front brake pad and rotor turn job on a 07 F250, over the phone it was $839.00. The true name of this business is Blown Budget Brakes. Same Job @ a independent business is $169 Parts and Labor.......I wont need to flip a coin.

Rust warning. Within 3 weeks of a usage, the brake components that they installed rusted excessively. I returned to Budget Brakes, presented the receipt, and explained the situation, but they would not even want to take a look, regardless of the fact that the brakes are well within the warranty period. Instead, they started explaining how rust is a common thing. Well, maybe. But isn’t this too much?? 3 weeks? Are they saying it’s common for the products that they install? It’s only happening to the parts they installed. (Refer to the photos.) In fact, I don’t see ANY car on the streets with such nasty rust. The rust on my car is very obvious even from far away. This car has been my passion, love, and life, and I feel that Budget Brakes ruined my life.

The guys seemed like they knew what they were talking about. They looked at my front wheels and seen that my brakes were put on wrong along with a couple other things. Thanks guys for the helpful info 👍. Just hated trying to get in and out of there due to traffic.

Second poor experience here in a row. Neither time did I use their services . The first poor experience that happened with them took place about a year ago with my first car. I brought my 2005 Chevy Malibu to them knowing the problem at hand being the master cylinder. It was causing the breaks to not properly release pressure off the rotors. After 30 min of waiting and them “test driving” it they told me it had no problem at all . I called a private mechanic to fix it the next day and the problem was solved. The car drove fine after the replacement . Now being today I took my new car here simply asking to have my front break pads replaced to stop further damage on the rotors . I was told that the pads were fine (which they aren’t and are rubbing against the rotors. ) they wouldn’t simply service the pads without doing the rotors. Which rotors for for my make and model Corolla are 50$ for the set (only needed front replaced) . They were trying to charge me 350$ which is laughable at best. I have the knowledge to replace the rotors and pads myself, just moved recently and don’t have the tools available at my new place. Just thought I’d shed some light on this con of a place and safe the next person the grief

Great business here. I brought my truck to them for brakes and upon inspection they noticed some front end work that was urgent it be taken care of. The shop manager explained everything to me as far as the cost and what was involved in the repairs. I felt very comfortable and confident that the work would be completed to high quality standards and I was very impress how smooth everything went at this shop. I will definitely return should I need repairs in the future to one of my vehicles.

The gentleman working the counter was very willing to work with me on the price to make sure he gained my business. He also rotated my tires and placed the air pressure to spec. He had no problem measuring the rotors to prove they needed to be replaced. I would recommend if your wanting a good deal for quality brakes then come here.

Steve was very professional and honest. He had a chance to run a bill up on me but instead refered me to the dealership because the problem with my brakes may be a recall issue and possibly under a extended warranty. Thanks Steve!

Honest people here...thought I needed my rotors turned and new pads but I trusted them and put it in their hands instead of doing it myself and they showed me my pads are still like new. Takes honest people to do that and not charge a thing or try to sell something!

The manager Kevin is a really good guy. Twice he has saved me quite a bit of money. They do more than brake jobs here at Budget Brakes, and the price is super fair. Im really impressed with how Kevin does business. He wont do uneccesary work, and gives solid recommendations on repairs to perform, and also what isnt necessary. but he always offers to do whatever work I want and I like that. I definitely recommend this place for any small repair jobs.

I’m very pleased with all of my experiences here. I have had breaks and rotors replaced on two cars by them. I recently was having issue with one of my cars and took it back, Kevin, was extremely knowledgeable and willing to explain the problem and the solution. I have 100% confidence now that I will be able to stop on a dime because we all know how crazy these Nashville/Murfreesboro drivers are.

I took my 2017 Ford Escape there and they tried to charge me 900.00 to put 1 set of breaks and rotors on, after I refused there service they give me back my vehicle with missing lug nuts on the wheels - complete unprofessional and they will always say you need stuff that you don’t need just to charge more- STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE

This place is a joke! the manager is a prick. they gave me a quote of $400 for the front brakes after they were already done. they kept the car for 2 days and ended up replacing the hubs and rotors.what is the sign out front that says $89 for? I understand they replaced more than just the pads but 400?! for just the front brakes. i should have read the reviews before i went here. I wont be back. this place is the stereotypical mechanic shop scam. they tell you one thing and before you leave you end up paying more than you came for. i asked them if i could keep the old parts (because i wanted to verify they were bad) and they said they had lost them... they said if i didnt like the price theyd put the old parts back on and let me deal with it. terrible customer service.

I always shop around for quotes and everytime I get a mechanic who tells me I need new rotors and premium pads and blah blah blah. My father was a mechanic and I grew up around cars so I know a thing or two. I have done this 3 times with Budget and every time they give me the truth, with a lower price and have been excellent with repairs. I really appreciate honesty and integrity so they will continue to get my business for years to come.

I will NEVER step foot inside Budget Brakes again and I would suggest you dont waste your time either. They wanted to charge me over $600 to replace my brakes and then got an attitude when I declined to get my car fixed there. The STORE MANAGER told me good luck getting home when I told him that I would be back to pick up my car from their shop. When I got to the shop, not only was my car in the back parking lot by the dumpster, it was so close to the street that a car driving down the road could hit it. My car was in worse shape when I picked it up from them than it was when I dropped it off. My brakes were nonexistent and the car shook so bad that I could not go faster than 25 mph once I left their shop. Thats how I knew that they did something to my car. I ended up taking my car to an independent local shop and paid less than half of what they were going to charge AND the mechanic there told me that my front right tire was so loose that he could unscrew the bolts off with his hands. So it made perfect sense that the STORE MANAGER would tell me good luck getting home because he knew that my tire AND my safety had been jeopardized. After I confronted Budget Brakes AND the store manager, they claimed that they had no idea. Dont waste your time going there people! Your safety and the integrity of your vehicle are at stake.

My parents took their vehicle to this place yesterday to get new pads put on their SUV and the story Budget told them about it was a load of crap. Heres just part of the story: First they told them 89.99 for pads on the front end so he thought why not for that price. My dad has been changing his own brakes since he was a teen but hes just older now and for $90 bucks hed just pay to have someone else do it for him. They told my dad that he needed new rotors and my dad asked the guy if he could just turn the rotors because hes had other vehicles rotors turned. The guy thought that this was an angle for a lie (thinking that my dad meant this vehicle has had them turned before) and he went on to say well yeah whoever turned them last damaged them and you need new ones. My dad proceeded to let him know that this vehicle has never had its rotors turn just the others vehicles theyve had. Knowing he was caught in a lie he tried walked back his comment by saying well, probably whoever just put on your new tires (Discount Tire) must have damaged them. They tried to charge my parents over $600 for a front and rear brake pad/rotor change. If you can avoid this place do it, youd be better off taking your vehicle to the dealership because theres no budget here. It would be best to do them yourself using Youtube for instructions or pay an individual that you trust. The people here at this establishment are dishonest! Discount Tire isnt no better for the referral and should rethink sending their customers here.

My First time going to Budget Brakes so I cant rate Budget Brakes as a company but I will speak about this location. When I walked in the only lights they had on where the waiting room, there was the customer care manager sitting in the dark then walks up to the front desk and just looks at me, not saying a word, with a I havent had a cup of coffee or Its a bad day look on his face. I said to him in an up beet voice good morning, he replied yet I can tell he was very unhappy. I told him what I was there for and sat down. Thought about what just happened and realized that if they dont care about you as a customer they sure are not going to care about your vehicle, so I left. Should have read the reviews first.

Do Not take your vehicle at this shop. Got new brakes and rotors and they are still messed up. I called them and he said well I don’t know??? He didn’t wanted to help me at all? We had front and rear brakes done and the service was beyond my expectations. We appreciate everything they did for us. They were fast and friendly, very knowledgeable and helpful with our whole process. I usually hate the experience of getting my vehicle worked on because honestly these days it feels more about the money than anything else and in our case it was very different. The reviews seem to be very divided, but I had a great experience! Earlier this year, I took my Pacifica in there for new brakes. I was told I also needed new rotors. Given the age of the car, that seemed about right.Though it was more than I anticipated on spending, they got me in and out pretty quick.The manager was very friendly. He came over to the Subway next door and went over the estimate with me while I ate lunch.I checked pricing AFTERWARD and they were actually very competitive. They also guarantee my brakes with FREE pads for the life of the car. Really? I have never heard of that before at any other place. Im happy with them!

I had called in asking about the lifetime alignment warranties and was told the price but nothing else. Went in for the brake special. Didnt even get brakes. Still paid $120. They lift your vehicle up and go half the mile so you feel obligated to get SOMETHING done after having waited -/+3 hours. Go to Hackett Bros right down the street. The wait for the appointment is well worth it.

I took my car in there because I needed an alignment. I was told on the phone that it would cost 59.99. They tried to charge me an extra 7.20 for shop materials for an aliment. So i was able to get them to drop the bogus charges that was not discussed over the phone. Drove my car down the road and it pulls to the right like crazy. I took it back and they said it is becuase one of my tires is a little taller. 215/70/16 and the other one was 215/65/16. So they rotated my tires to the front. Still pulls to the right. So upset i hate wasting money. Please avoid taking your car to them.

Be very careful going here. I had my tires changed, and they didnt tighten the lug nuts, which caused drivability issues, and a horrendous noise. Glad nothing worse happened because of this. They fixed the error when I took it back, but that was the extent of things.

So glad I read the reviews before I took my car there this morning. I knew there was no way they could offer brakes for 89.95 SUV. That made absolutely no sense and I was sure they would be a bait-and-switch job. Seems I was right.

False Advertisement! Very poor customer service! I called twice for pricing as it seemed to good to be true and it was. I dropped my car of and the rep called with a quote that was 4 times what was quoted over the phone stating all kinds of things wrong with the brakes. When I questioned him, he became extremely agrumentative raising his voice and stated he would just put my car back together and I could go elsewhere. I simply wanted an explanation of what was wrong with my car and why they falsely advertise. In the end I agreed to have my brakes done b/c they needed it. I paid twice what was quoted and my bill said, customer did not want to hear anything about rotors or hardware and customer is aware that brakes may sweak and throw dust on wheels and it had $416 worth of services it said I denied... none of this is true. I know that I did not need rotors b/c I had already recieved a quote from the dealership... all I needed was pads. They try to sale you things you do not need and get angry when you question them. I went to have brakes and roaders replaced on front and back and they only wanted to change the front and flip the roaders for $300.00. Then proceeded to tell me that i would have to come back at a later date to change the back brakes, a wheel hub bearing, and a lug bolt for another $700.00 im a female not some dumb bimbo that knows absulutly nothing about cars. When i said why so much if the only thing being replaced was the front brake pads manager did not want to explain and caught an attitude. I decided to take my car somewhere else. Beware: I paid $150 for the drivers side rear brake to be corrected last year on my 2000 Dodge Durango R/T and I still have the same problem with it locking up at low speed I took it in (3) different times and all they did was adjust in the drum brakes so it wouldnt work for a while so it seemed like they fixed it but I would have to keep taking it back.The facility at 111 Northwest Broad Street, Murfreesboro, TN 37130 is a joke and a scam. I wont be going back.

While at my grandmothers visiting my sister came over crying about her only few year old SUV needing brakes and just giving her SUV a look over so was safe for her kids before winter.. she came in crying that she stopped in at BUDGET and wanted the 79 dollar brake job on the sign... she said they looked over her SUV and then told her $890... she left feeling horrable because she just cares a ton about her kids and wanted to make sure everything was safe. I told her to give me a check and I will be right back. in less than an hour I was back with her SUV with 79 dollar brakes and pads on her SUV. Why do most of these Murfreesboro Shops always do this to women or young people and then I take it in and knowing what I am talking about and looking at and hell I would do it myself but just dont want to...79 bucks is worth me not doing it.. Please all women get a friend to take your cars in for you.. IF IT FEELS LIKE A BAD DEAL..WALK AWAY AND NEVER RETURN AND WRITE A GOOGLE REVIEW

I came in expecting to need a caliper on the front right. I am broke and will only have this car for another month. When I came in I said Im afraid its going to need a caliper, because it seems to be dragging. Its probably going to need new rotors too. As soon as I said this I expected them to agree with me and say it needed more than just the basic brake job. However, I was extremely surprised when the mechanic came in to let me know that it did not need new calipers or rotors. They could be turned and the pads just needed to be replaced. They had a great opportunity to take advantage of me but remained fair and honest instead, only selling me the service that I needed. They got me in quick, put me ahead of other jobs that were drop offs and I was done in under an hour! Total cost $150

After 2 trips and $900, brakes are still defective.
