Always does an amazing job at a fair price. Hard to find honest mechanics, but this place has them. They also fix the actual problem without having to take it back over and over.

Took a dealer car for pre-purchase inspection. Everyone was polite and seemed honest. Showed a breakdown of the inspection and even gave me a recommendation on whether or not to buy a car. Would recommend for an honest mechanic.

Woppy occasional noise from my front end. Took it in to Todds. Noise remained. Two weeks later changed both wheel bearings myself. Both very obviously worn out. There was no more noise.Todds had changed both front brakes for $700 without even checking the bearings. I mean really. That was over a year ago and havent been back.

Up until 2 months ago, Todds kept our 2004 Toyota Matrix clone (2004 Pontiac Vibe) with 144,000 miles on it...running great. They even added a backup camera and stopped a keak we had in the sunroof! Always grateful for their expertise and honesty! How much is honesty worth?

This is ONLY shop in town I trust to work on my 91 & 92 Mustang. I brought my 92 in for a front end alignment today and the work required additional time to complete. Todd offered and I accepted a ride home to avoid the extended wait time. Todd is extremely knowledgeable, honest, and fair in his business practices. This is becoming harder and harder to find these days. I’m thankful to have a local mechanic who treats his customers the way he would want to be treated.

Took my classic here to get it looked at. Broke off an axel stud in the process and wouldnt honor it. Paid to pick up my car in a worse condition.

Let me start off by saying, as a car enthusiast, Im typically pretty reluctant to bring my car to any shop at all. I own a 2011 Dodge Challenger and had a brake booster failure on my way to work this Monday morning. Realizing this wasnt a home project, I decided to stop by Todds to get an estimate. I was recommended this shop in past many times from friends as well as other mechanics, so, I figured now was better time than ever to pay them a visit.As soon as I soon as I walked in, Todd recognized me from the phone, and greeted me with a handshake and a smile. His wife, and the gentleman behind the desk both treated me with the upmost respect and made me feel like a genuine customer, as opposed to just another ticket. Having experienced plenty of other mechanics in the area, and feeling like my business was simply taken advantage of, and replaceable, I a felt a humble family charm about the place, and was relieved to know my vehicle was in good hands. Not to mention their upfront honesty about labor costs and part pricing, was helpful as well as accurate. (Not something you find very common in this industry).My car was returned to me promptly the next day and I could feel the quality of work after my drive off their lot. From someone who has felt indignant towards the automotive industry for quite some time, Todds has shown me that their are still honest people doing humble work in this trade. My problem here is common with most shops. They wanted to do work that was completely unnecessary. I brought my SUV to them because it failed emissions and I wasnt sure about one of the codes. After they looked at I was told that it need several things including a brand new throttle body. They did some off the work but not the throttle body. Todds wanted almost 800 dollars for that repair alone. I fixed it my self for 20 dollars and it the repair was done in about 30 minutes, not 3 hours labor they quoted me. All the throttle body needed was to be cleaned. I did not need a new one, the wiring did not need to be replaced, and the computer did not need to be reprogrammed. My SUV has passed emissions with no problem. Now Im left wondering if the repair that I did have them do even needed to be preformed at all.

This will be long but completely worth the read. I went to Nissan to get an oil change and they told me I needed brakes BAD. I called my guy I go to about my car troubles. He recommended me to come to Todd’s. The absolute best decision I could have ever made. I went there and they told me that my brakes were fine. Only charged to look at them (which didn’t cost much at all). Told them I would come back when it was my time to get new brakes. Took my car yesterday and got a phone call that I only needed back brakes. I couldn’t thank them enough for being honest and not trying to get money out of me like Nissan and other companies would. Even gave me a student discount! I planned on paying close to $500 for brakes but came out with only around $260. Highly recommend!!

Check engine light came on. Took it here because my car was starting to over-heat a little and this was close by and had a decent rating, I try not to base things off ratings. Said my throttle position sensor needed to be replaced, $260 and 2 days later my check engine light comes back on. They want $460 now to adjust a valve and put new spark plugs in but said new spark plugs weren’t necessary so if I wanted to save $100 I didn’t have to get them. They also said it might be a fuel injector problem but wanted to try out the valves first. I of course said no and took my vehicle to a friend who knows a decent amount about cars. With his knowledge and little amount of tools he said my compression is fine and that they should have really replaced my spark plugs first and foremost. He also believes they didn’t set the voltage right for my new $260 throttle sensor because my car has a high idle now. He also found that my oil and coolant are mixing together, alot of problems that this “professional accredited” business did not tell me. I’m so grateful to have a friend who can tell me the truth. I think it goes a longer way to just fix my car the first time and do it right, instead of putting a bandage on one problem knowing your customer is going to come back a few more times and spend more money. That’s not honesty, and if you don’t know the truth of my cars problem, be honest and say you don’t know. My car didn’t even drive differently after my sensor was replaced but it felt way better after my friend replaced my spark plugs for $25. I am a firm believer in karma and if you lie to acquire more money, you will get what you deserve.

Awesome job done on my car! Got towed Monday night due to starter not working and another part of the engine leaking. Was told it won’t be looked at til Friday due to busy schedule but then I got a call today(Wednesday) saying it’s fixed! First and foremost I do want to say they have a fairly quick turnaround... Early last week my vehicle broke down again with it seemingly to be same issue try were supposed to fix the first THREE times. Of course the second and third time were under warranty.... Today I was told they couldnt help me anymore and if they work on my vehicle to fix the same issue they were guaranteed to fix the first time, they would need another $900.00!! I really wish they were more knowledgeable that to tell me my vehicle is just a bad design and that they no longer want to deal with it... Of they would have told me after the second time the car would need further service instead of trying to appease me and get me on my way... In short... I just wish they would have been straight forward with me instead of gaffing me off.. So I dont recommend this place due to the fact that I left with a question mark on what just happened with my vehicle..

I experienced car problems while driving from Chattanooga. Found Todds and so glad I did! First off they gave me exact directions to their location, then offered to pick up some lunch for me as the mechanics were going out to get theirs. My phone was almost dead and they loaned me a charger! Todd drove me back to the conference center and offered to pick me up when the car work was finished. I meant his wife who does the books and both she and Todd were very nice, friendly and honest. The mechanic took me back to show me the problem with the car and explained how they would fix it. I cant say enough wonderful things about Todd and his business. They are honest, friendly and accommodating! I highly recommend them!!!

Warning: Avoid Todds. No integrity, no accountability and no urgency or consideration for your inconvenience or expense. My experience has been a continuing nightmare. Brought my vehicle to them for a check engine light to pass emissions testing. Diagnosed problem as a defective PCM (computer). Took one week to diagnose and receive $790 replacement part (paid in advance). Part arrived and did not work. Mgr Bill reported it was sent back to distributor and after an additional week, still no replacement. During this time I have mounting rental car fees and racing against expiring tags due to emissions. I call Mgr Bill at Todds to cancel the job. I order the part myself and install it. Part I ordered myself was overnighted and a five minute, four plug snap-in install resolved my problem (The part was bought new off Ebay, programmed and guaranteed a return for full refund if not satisfied. And for half the price of Todds parts charge). Todds, despite never receiving the part before I cancelled it, has refused to refund my $790 claiming its a custom part that cannot be reused (This is a patently false claim. And inconsequential to begin with since the part sent was defective and I never received a replacement before canceling). They ultimately received the replacement a week after I performed the repair myself. I have offered to resolve this dispute by paying the diagnostic fee when Im refunded for the part. Which I agree was an accurate and a legit charge. They have not responded in any way but to tell me they wont issue my refund until they receive their refund from this obviously unprincipled parts supplier. It has been one month since my request for a refund I have no reason to believe it will ever be issued. I have been as reasonable and patient as I think anyone could be expected. As I stated they have no sense of urgency or regard for my inconvenience or rectifying this dispute. I initially went to Todds based on good reviews. Obviously something has changed. This saga over a simple check engine light began Sept 22, 2019 and as of today, Nov 8 2019, remains unresolved and will now continue on through small claims court.

I have never had such good service and had a mechanic that I felt was honestly looking out for me every time I need help. Todd went out of his way to keep my old car running and has always striven to make sure both me and my family have been given the best service possible, for the a completely reasonable price. This IS the place to go in Murfreesboro and I will continue to use them as long as I am in the area.

I had problems and they were booked up, it took a few days longer than I expected ( due to parts coming in that I ordered and had to wait on UPS ), but they were very accommodating and polite and kept me in the loop so I knew exactly what was going on. This is the worst place to go. I took my van here and asked them check everything and make it road ready because i was taking a trip from Murfreesboro to Memphis. My vehicle was running fine before i dropped it off. After i got my van back from them, My van began running hot, and i took it to another mechanic who told me that a head gasket was busted, upon further determination it was determined that this horrible place had not put any liquids in my van.. I have yet to get the gaskets fixed because head gaskets are expensive.. Beware ladies, if you take your vehicle they will surely break it!

Nice office cat. .I also was referred here and will not be returning. It took 4 days to do run a diagnosis and Im not sure what they done to my vehicle, but the air conditioning and radiator fans were working fine before I brought my vehicle in.

Horrible. I knew what was wrong with my car. Couldnt fix it myself due to tools and time. They lied and said metal shavings were under my car and tried to make me pay for what was not wrong. I dont typically write reviews on establishments, regardless of the level of dissatisfaction I harbor as a result of my sub-par experience; For Todds, Ill make a special exception. I came here not by choice, but because my car quit working right in front of the shop. I went in and asked the front desk receptionist (who actually was very polite) if I could have a diagnostic run on my vehicle. She explained a typical diagnostic would take about 30 minutes, and cost $45.00. I informed her I was quite short on money, and that if any additional services were to be performed (or if anything was to take place that would cost more than our agreed up $45.00) that she should call me and get my permission. I come back to the shop to find my bill is up to $75.00, and the store has added coolant to my car. The front desk receptionist explained that this was nessecary to run thorough diagnostic. Not only could I have bought my own coolant for 1/3 of the price, I did not consent to any work over $45.00. The other gentleman up front sarcastically stated that if I wanted to wait to pick it up until the next day, he would drain the coolant. I highly advise no one in the Murfreesboro area use this establishment. Im actually most upset about the fact that Im forced to rate this with one star, as opposed to zero stars, which Todds deserves.

OUTSTANDING!I had driven up to MTSU from cleveland tn to help my son pack up for summer break. upon arriving at his dorm the power steering rack blew a seal on my 2003 4runner .Understand i have been in and around the automotive repair business my entire life. my dad turned wrenches for 50 years before he passed away, and i am always wary of taking my cars to a shop i dont know . especially for an emergency repair .After i figured out what had happened i looked up parts, labor hour, ect.to figure what it SHOULD cost and started looking at google for a shop close to me ... i found todds, and i am so glad i did !I talked to Mark on the phone and explained my situation and that i had to be back in cleveland the next morning for a Dr. appointment . he called me back after about 10 minutes with an estimate that was perfectly in line with what i expected . i limped the 4runner to the shop and they were able to get started on it right away and offered to take me back to the dorm ( i decided to wait there) .while waiting for the 3-4 hours (power steering rack isnt an easy change out) i got to see how they did business . pretty much like my dad used to, take care of the customer first, make money second .if my son has a problem with his truck while he is up there it will go to Todds . i also grabbed a stack of cards for him to pass out to his friends .a good honest reliable shop can be hard to find i am glad i found this one.A big THANK YOU to everyone at Todds for getting my truck fixed up

Didnt listen. Didnt have truck for 2 days, problem unresolved, hundred dollar an hour labor.

I am a student in MTSU and came to USA in 2014. I bought a car because of poor transportation in Tennessee but Todds auto care grabbed all my savings money per hour 90$ is very expensive with less knowledgeable technicians. They dont know what is the problem with the car and they did experiments on my car.First they did a test and told me not required to clean egr ports (90$ for one hour). They told me to replace a part(vaccum solenoid) so that your car will be fixed. I bought a part from eBay and gave them but they didnt resolve the problem (part is 82$ and 90$ for labour work) . They asked me for the diagnostic test which may takes more than 1 and half hour which is 135$ which is expensive than showrooms price. I got rid of them and took it to other auto care for diagnostic test which is 50$. He told me the EGR ports are required to clean but this auto care done some test and told me that egr ports are not required to clean. If you dont know what is happening with the car they will take all your money and they blame on your car.

Brought my vehicle in for them to look at it, charged me $200 for a diagnosis. My Droctor doesnt charge that. Stay away from this establishment.
