Unfortunately for me, I had to take my car in for repairs and needed a vehicle in the meantime. Christian not only took care of getting me a rental right away, but he also made the process super-easy and convenient. In addition, the car that he arranged for me to rent was relatively new and the same size and type as my car. He took his time in going over my charges, and made sure that my questions were addressed and that everything was clearly explained. Im very happy.
Over the years I’ve rented dozens of vehicle from Enterprise without a problem; until this rental. You never know how good or bad a company is until you have a problem and now I know how poor Enterprise is.My saga begins about half way through the rental period. I rented a Chevrolet Suburban to transport six of us with gear and luggage for a one week fishing trip at a lodge in Marcell Minnesota. Half way through the trip we were traveling to a location near our cabin and the vehicle began to backfire, shudder and miss, loss of engine power, various warning lights for service displayed as well as check engine light. Engine would not rev over 3500 RPM. Limped back to cabin and called Enterprise roadside service. After waiting 20 minutes to talk to a live person, got somebody on the line that at best, had never seen an automobile. Describing the problem I said the vehicle was backfiring and he asked “What does that mean?” After explaining the best I could I said the engine was missing and he said “What? You say the engine is missing, how did that happen?” It was all downhill from there, but he promised a tow delivery and pickup of another Suburban within a couple of hours. I started receiving texts from AAA telling me of the progress. About an hour later I get a call from Enterprise asking why I wasn’t at the vehicle and they cancelled my pick up and delivery. I got the run around on a couple of further road service calls, so I decided to contact AAA to find out what really happened. AAA told me they went to the Enterprise location to get a Suburban, but that location didn’t have one, so they left and cancelled pickup.Calling Road Side assistance again I was told to start over since it was the end of the day and they couldn’t arrange anything till the next morning.Day 2: I call Road Side again and was told a new story: I was to get the Suburban picked up and take local transportation like a taxi or Uber to Duluth (120 miles away) to pick up a Suburban. I explained there was no taxi or Uber service within 50 miles of Marcell and that Enterprise would have to figure something out for me. At about this time my anger level was over the top dealing with incompetent Enterprise individuals and I was probably rude to this one during our conversation; especially when she talked over me when I was trying to have her understand I couldn’t get to Duluth. I recall reminding her that I was the customer; she was the vendor’s representative and the customer is always right. I also recalled telling her to be quiet while I was talking and that I would tell her when she would be allowed to speak. After hanging up I called Duluth Enterprise to be sure they had a Suburban before I tried to go there. Good thing I called, Duluth didn’t have a Suburban. Called Road Side Service and cancelled pick up of my Suburban; I needed to hold it for ransom because now I saw that Enterprise would have left me with no vehicle without that leverage.I decided to bypass Road Side and called the nearest Enterprise location for help. They were truth-full and said there were no Suburbans to be had for me and the best that I could do was a Nissan Armada, that they would hold for me, but I had to arrange it through Road Side Service. I told them I’d have to think it over a bit and would call back.. I was obviously stuck, so I took the Armada. This time All Road Side had to do was confirm with the local Enterprise. One and one half days and over 20 frustrating calls to Enterprise. Had to leave some of our things behind to all fit in the Armada for the trip home. Obviously I didn’t have to pay the full amount for this Cluster, but even if the charge was $0.00, it would have been too much.Needless to say, the rating star system needs revision to have negative stars.
This was my 2nd time using Mundelein Enterprise. First time, I had a rental for almost 3 months and this time was just 3 days. Really easy to work with and all employees are so damn nice! Even drove me to enterprise because I was planning on walking.
I was force to take a truck because they didnt have the car I needed after a car accident and when I was complaining about my unhappiness I was told not to tell him how to do his job. If this is case I shouldnt be paying you for your service either.
I was declined a car even after having a confirmed reservation. Then seeing my desperation the staff tricked me into getting a higher value rental. Pathetic way of dealing with a customer and I am Gold member of their loyalty program.
Had a reservation to pickup a (one-way) rental car in Zion, IL between 11:30-11:45 on Saturday (9/5/20). I arrived at 10:00 am and was told by the Enterprise employee that he had no cars available and wasnt sure if he would have a car coming in by close of business which was 12:00. I was delivering a RV and needed the car to return home 700 miles away. A car was located in Mundelein, IL which was a 40 minute ($30.00) UBER drive from Zion. On arrival at Enterprise Mundelein my car was ready and the service provided by Ree & Corianna was great. Though this situation worked out it delayed me over 3 hrs from delivering the RV which was only 4.5 miles from the Enterprise Zion, IL location. Upon returning the car in Charlottesville, VA I contacted Enterprise customer service. After explaining what occurred in IL the one way charge was taken off my bill along with the cost of the UBER ride. The 3 stars are for the Ree, Corianna and customer care who helped resolve/make right my situation.
Ive been using the Enterprise in Mundelein, IL for years and their service has yet to falter. Their vehicles are always clean and top of the line. And the customer service there is top shelf.....ALWAYS!

Since I could not get the website to work I called Enterprise to make a reservation after I had to have my car towed. It was about 6 a.m. and I wanted to reserve a car as soon as possible after leaving my car at a mechanics place in Edwardsville. Though I was able to get on the road getting my car fixed rather quickly, I was very appreciative of the nice people at Enterprise including the man who came to pick me up to take me back to the rental office. They were very quick to be able to help me and my needs to get back on the road again. I really appreciated their quick response on a Friday morning. Thank you Enterprise office!
I had requested the Cadillac weeks prior to the date of travel, then received a call that the vehicle would not be available and that they could offer me another vehicle.I was not happy, but they asked that I still come in (the next day) to see what they could work out. Upon arriving, I noticed a Cadillac on their lot and they mentioned that they found one at another Enterprise location that morning.This is an Enterprise location (Mundelein, Illinois) that I use practically exclusively for any of my car rental needs and they always seem to exceed my level of customer experience and expectation. For the first time, I was eagerly looking forward to completing a review for them. If I could give 10 Stars, I would. They exemplify what a top-notch Car Rental company should do to deliver the ultimate customer experience in auto rental.

I’ve been using enterprise car rental in Mundelein over the past few years. When my car was in repair or when the old car that is longer dependable, i have rented from them. I’ve never had a issue. Great service!! Cars are alway clean and in great running condition.The only thing I can advise is to plan ahead. Cars are not available at the drop of a hat. I over heard the Manager today speak of processing 35 cars with in the first 3 hours of openingThis location has been great for pick ups and drop off. But you must plan ahead of time.

If I could give it no stars I would. I booked a car over the phone, they promised it would be there. I showed up that weekend to pick it up. The store was packed and there was one employee working. After a 30 min wait and hearing the employee saying she was out of cars I asked if I would have one since I booked ahead of time. She said that the cars were gone. Already being late to my event, I ended up having to be driven back home by a family member, get my car and drive an hour out of my way to borrow another family members car. I was very late to my event and had to drive an additional hour back to return the family members car and pick up mine. This is my second incredibly unprofessional experience with this company and I will never use them again.
Quick service, attention to detail. the car wasnt quite ready when I came to pick it up, but they quickly got the car and prepped it. Would recommend, although its pretty much the only place in this area for car rentals (besides near the dealers).
Worst customer service in any Enterprise branch I dealt with.My insurance company AllState reserved a car for me in this branch, but the person in charge told me to check in few days if they would have a car or check with other branches because theyre running low on cars. I had a car from another branch which they seem to compete with. strange why they are not working as one company. Not having a car at the moment that I understand but the guy didnt want to help at all, and the way he was talking was very rude.
Great Customer Service! We have used this branch a few times for they work well with our repair shop. Even on busy days, we can rent a car in minutes. They are always polite and professional.
I have done business with numerous Enterprise locations both for work and pleasure, hands down this the best team of customer service-orientated professionals I have dealt with throughout the years. In particular, Serei and Ryan always go above and beyond to make sure any reasonable requests are fulfilled. Whether you need 3 cargo vans or a Black Cadillac, the Enterprise team in Mundelein will take wonderful care of you. I look forward to my future rentals/business with Enterprise.
I am happy to say I had a terrific experience at this location, from the lovely gent who handled my pickup to the rest of the staff who were oh so helpful. I hope I have the young mans name right who was my first contact, M.J?, M.K?...well, I know M was the first letter and he was delightful to deal with and it really does make a difference what your first encounter is, business wise. Amanda (I hope I got her name right....sheesh) was also exceedingly helpful, as was the other gent I dealt with whose name I dont know. I hope they stick around, because this is my go to suburban Enterprise location and it is so fantastic to know these very nice and efficient people are there.
Ive used this location as my go-to rental spot when Im visiting family back home. They are inevitably cheerful, personable, on-time, and helpful. I especially appreciate their willingness to go out of their way to help with unusual timing or requests, and their proactive communication. Thanks, guys!

I will not be using their services again! They would not accept my proof of address, which was a utility bill just because the service date was not within 30 days, it was within 60 days. REALLY!!!?? I have rented before with them with no problem. Then I later called to push my reserve time back and that and only then was I told that they didnt have the rental car I reserved or anything similar or big enough for my family!! This really put a huge damper and inconvenience on our vacation plans. We ended up leaving 3 hours later than our scheduled time because we had to call around to other rental car companies to find a vehicle which made things even worse because it was a busy time as alot of people were going out of town on vacation so no one had anything available. We finally found a vehicle across state line. And that is the company we will continue to use. ENTERPRISE.... VERY DISAPPOINTING!! THUMBS ALL THE WAY DOWN!!!

Great experience except they added basic coverage to my rental, making it sound like nothing extra, but its an extra $13.50 per day. I felt like it was dishonest to slide it onto my bill. My guess is that the agents make extra money for jacking up the bill.
Service was prompt and courteous. Vehicle was clean and performed well. If you dont rent vehicles often or understand rental agreement charges, pay attention to the details and insurance choices you are offered to avoid misunderstandings later. I was satisfied with my service at this business and will rent from them again in the future.
Ive been using Enterprise for over 10 years. Its really nice that they actually come to your house and pick you up. The sales people that have are very friendly and they dont push any extras on you.

They did a great job, picked us and our large boxes in a timely manner. The car was very clean on the inside. They also were very helpful in accommodating us on the return and working with our insurance company.
The quoted price and final price were not the same, ended up being a very expensive day rental. Not worth it.
Staff was friendly, I got Camry 2016.we drive it to Michigan and Avg mileage was 34.5 MPG. Car was smooth and we loved it in our entire journey.Id recommend try to do some research before renting car, its not rent a car who has to decide a car for you.
