Honest and capable mechanic. Friendly and helpful too! I took my car in because it started running rough and then the check engine light came on. It turns out that rodents had been chewing on the wires, causing electrical shorts, resulting in the engine miss-firing. A less honest mechanic would have fixed the shorts, without mentioning how they came about so he could fix it again. A less capable mechanic wouldnt have help ensure the rodents never came back. A less friendly mechanic wouldnt have been as helpful with warranty stuff or with the rodent repeller installation. As a family owned shop you can really see the pride they take in their work.

Lifesaver! So I went to see Pete after my mentor said you have to get the wheel bearings serviced (because they were loud). I had taken my car faithfully to a Toyota dealer and they hadnt paid attention to the loud bearings. So when I took my car to Pete he road tested it with me in it (precovid19). He knew it was the bearings and turned the car back into his lot. He let me know that the wheel could have separated if this wasnt fixed (which is totally accurate from my research). If the wheel would have separated well, I might not have been around to type this review. I only our cars to Pete at Felix Auto. I trust him. He really takes safety seriously, is a honest expert and has wonderful staff.

I am very pleased with their service. My car is a bit older so I did not want to spend huge sums of money on new tires and they recommended some good quality tires that werent expensive. Also, the inspection report had no surprises like what happened last time I went to a discount place where they recommend I spent about $6000 for something I did not need. They are a local business (just a few blocks away) and I like to support to my local businesses as much I can.

It isn’t hard to find a hard working shop, but finding a shop with the intelligence to solve complex issues is! Peter and the guys at this shop have helped me out a ton in the past! Highly recommend!

Felix Auto is always able to get my car into the shop in a timely manner. They explain what is needed and have not done unnecessary repairs. Prices are standard. I have been taking my 3 cars there for the last 10 years.They are near the Caltrain station and they give you rides if needed back home.

The folks at Felix could not have been nicer and more professional. I went there to get a guard put on my Prius to prevent my catalytic converter from being stolen after I read about their services on Nextdoor. Before I went they fully explained what the process entails and what it would and would not do to my car. They were able to take me the same week and the process of dropping off and picking up the car was smooth and pleasant. Although a commercial part to prevent catalytic converter theft could have been ordered online for less money the installation charge would’ve been higher at other places I called and Felix’s combined package of parts and labor was the best deal I found anywhere

Ive been using Felixs Auto Service for about 10 years. The service is great and Ive never had any issues with the work performed, which has included everything from brakes, shocksand a wheel alignment last month on my Suburban to and a Suburu engine rebuild about 10 years ago. I really appreciate Peters honesty in telling what I need and likewise what I dont need... example, I asked once: MAKE THIS CAR SAFE FOR MY SON WHOS OFF TO COLLEGE IN SoCAL. He gave me a run down of everything and suggest only certain services that needed to be done before Christmas break. Honesty. Fair Prices.

We recently joined the Bay Area chapter of the They stole my Prius Catalytic Converter club and learned about Felixs anti-theft solution from Petes brother who towed our car for service. Since we were not eager to repeat our initiation, we brought the Prius to Felixs after it was repaired and had them armor our shiny new catalytic converter. Pete and Justin were awesome - they explained their solution thoroughly, were courteous and professional and most importantly completed the job faster than expected within in a few hours from when we dropped the car off without an appointment. I Highly recommend this shop! Their work was great and the pricing was fair and competitive. Thank you.

Amazing experience with this shop! Had to get towed and asked the driver for a recommendation. He recommended Felixs for their good work, fair prices, and honesty. He was right on all points. Great bunch of businessmen who know their craft well!!!

(Note: This is a review written approx a year after getting service with them)Theres always a gut feeling when it comes to mechanics, and I drove away from Felixs with a mixed so-so feeling. I had gone to them based on good reviews to get a 60k service and an oil change on my car, but ended up with having a water pump and an engine mount replaced.To be fair to the shop, the engine did seem to be pretty loud and jumpy when starting so at least one of those two repairs seemed warranted, but the total bill ended up closer to $1000 which felt pretty pricey (and thats not including the double transmission fluid flushes they recommended despite me having just had that flushed by a different mechanic a year ago).But hey, theyre the experts so they know whats needed / the best for the car right?Fast forward to less than a year later, the engine temp on the car started to run very close to the H line all the time, even driving

What a gem! i wish more businesses were like felix’s. took my mazda here for an oil change and an overall inspection before going on a long road trip to make sure everything was in top condition. a friend recommended them after they went above and beyond in servicing their vehicle, and they delivered equally exceptional service for me! pete and team are honest in their recommendations and upfront about service costs. they’re also fast, professional, and deeply knowledgeable. the last time my car drove this smooth, i was driving it off the dealership lot. thanks pete and team!

Very bad experience here! This place is for 3-4 years old car where everything is straight forward. Older cars dont even bother going to this place because you end up paying $$$ just to find out what is wrong with your car and i ended up paying without getting the car fixed because they fixed something else

Great professional service and reasonable price. I went to this auto repair store several times and I was very satisfied with everything each time.

Brought in my Volvo C70 that wouldnt start. Told Service Manager of the error turn steering and try start again. He dismissed this and recommended a new starter. Got car back and a few days later, my car wouldnt start again. He again ignored my mention of the error message and said it was the battery in key fob. Third time my car wouldnt start, I googled that error and found the issue in a matter of seconds. Took car to someone else. If Peter had only googled the error originally, I wouldnt be out $766.

I went to Felix’s Auto Service shop thinking this would be like other auto services I have been to but it wasn’t. Not only did they fix my beetle at a good price but they did something unexpected....they cleaned the outside of my car. It was a thoughtful service that they did for free. This will be my Auto Service provider as long as I am in this area. I am appreciative of their work I would give them 10 stars if I could. If you are looking for a place to go you should at least give these guys a shot. :)

Felixs Auto Service is run by the son of the original owner. I found them to be honest, helpful, and courteous. They did a nice job on my car and I can see why they have a successful business that has lasted decades.

I brought in my mechanically troubled Honda Civic to get a check engine light resolved in order to proceed with a smog check. Pete was really professional through out all aspects of the service, and I felt like he presented all the options to me clearly.After the source of my check engine light was determined, Pete presented me with several options for repairs, ranging from the cheapest minimal repair to the recommended repair.Because the issue was related to my transmission, the repairs were obviously expensive, especially considering the low value of my car, so Pete offered to drive my car around and identify if there were any other mechanical issues which might make the decision to repair, or retire easier.In the end, there were just too many mechanical issues for me to personally justify repairing the vehicle, though Im sure that Pete and his mechanics would have happily done an excellent job. Once I opted to retire the vehicle, Pete informed me of some incentives through the state that I might take advantage of to get some money for retiring my vehicle.Although I was disappointed that the cost of maintaining my car is apparently larger than the value of the car itself, I left feeling very well informed about my options and the state of my vehicle. Pete was never pushy, and he described the issues and possible resolutions clearly and concisely.I hope to return here in the future for maintenance for the next vehicle that I own.

I was highly referred to Felix’s Auto to get an estimate on instrument cluster. After years of it being broken and several expensive quotes that only got me depressed, Peter quickly diagnosed my problem and gave me an estimate at a fraction of previous quotes. I was flabbergasted with excitement. I have been taking my vehicles there since. Peter is fair, friendly, and patiently explains the work being done to my car.
